Codename: Foals Next Door
KND x MLP AU
A universe where everyone in the kids next door universe are My Little Pony ponies/creatures, also alot of the characters don't have human names and instead go by more Equestrian sounding names.
Also this universe still has stuff like human technology like cars, the internet, space travel and stuff. 2x4 technology is the same tho there are special trained magic user operatives in the FND, Celestia and Luna or any Equestrian legends are seen as just fairy tales but they have some hints of truth to them.
Celestia and Luna were FND alicorn operatives that fought against evil adult's together back in the midieval times, like with Numbuh Zero, some believe they existed while others say they were just myths.

Not Your Time
Pairing: Light X Lizzy
Summary: Having been assigned to take care of the nameless that have been appearing in Gedonelune; Florin and Light were heading there though as there was a slight change in mission when word got to them about a natural born dragon having shown up. (Slightly spoilerish)
“Why do they keep just appearing,” I shouted in frustration while I sliced through more of the shadow like figures; it didn’t matter how many I took out as only more would appear. “Light! Light look out,” I heard Florin shouting as turning around I was going to slash the shadow that was attacking me, but when turning I felt something hit me in the chest causing a rippling pain as I could feel it spread. “D-Damnit,” I cursed under myself already starting to feel light headed when the last thing I could remember seeing was the shadows dissipating before everything went black.
I don’t know what happened but I must have passed out, I thought to myself as though I tried to open my eyes they wouldn’t for some reason. Was this what it was like to die, or could it be a coma, whatever it was I couldn’t move. I started to hear a gentle hum, a gentle voice, I could hear the female voice say, “You should be more careful, it isn’t your time.” There was a soft brush of a hand over my eyes as they felt like I could finally open them though when I did so my vision was still blurry. Blinking a couple of times I started to see a girl; long hair as I could make of the soft blue color that faded down to an ash gray, was she wearing small flowers in her hair. But the most surprising feature I noticed was that where the whites of the eyes were, they were black instead as it oddly made the girl’s blue eyes stand out.
“Are you an angel,” I asked as it would certainly surprise me if that was what they really looked like. Hearing her laugh I was now sitting up and looking around to see I wasn’t in the open field we were fighting at; it was a forest well I should say more like a dead forest as there were no leaves on the branches and the trees themselves appeared to be shriveled up as a thick fog covered the ground and all around the trees giving it an eerie feeling. “Who I am, or what I am isn’t important. It’s time for you to wake up,” she said as when I looked over to look at her she was gone and in her place a light shined causing my eyes to close.
“Light! Light wake up,” heard Florin’s voice when I started to open my eyes letting out a soft groan in pain. “Glad to see you’re alright,” Florin said with his usual large grin as Zurvan came over to us. “If that’s what you wanna call it sure,” I said while rubbing the back of my neck as the image of the girl flashed in my head. Deciding to keep what happened to myself I started to get up as I could only question if it was real or could it have been just some odd dream. Having made sure my wounds healed up the two of us headed off to make our way to the academy in Gedonelune on Zurvan’s back. It wasn’t too long of a trip to the esteemed academy thanks to Zurvan’s speed. It certainly was a big place, we were currently following a member of the Ministry to the headmaster’s office. “I can’t believe we’re going to see a natural born dragon,” Florin spoke overly excited. I rolled my eyes at how he’d just go on and on, I just wish he’d stop rambling. Then when we came to a stop in front of double doors “Here we are,” Albert said with a smile before giving a knock and pushing the doors open. Upon entering the room it was a spacious room that had a group of people inside. “Welcome thank you both for coming,” The man dressed in black, I could only assume the headmaster thanked us which I gave a simple nod of the head.
Looking over to the group of people there were a mix of people in uniforms of white, red, and gold as the rest were dressed in uniforms of black and blue. The one holding the small white dragon was a girl, and that’s when I took in a sharp breath; looking at her she had medium pastel blue hair and baby blue eyes. It struck me as a sense of familiarity, but this was the first time I’ve seen her. That was when I saw her looking over at us and her eyes suddenly went big and then quickly glanced away. “Oh look at him he’s so cute,” Florin shouted, running over to the girl as she seemed to jump back a bit from Florin’s close proximity to her. The baby dragon already looked like he was weary of Florin but when he went to reach out to probably pet the dragon it chirped angrily and nuzzled closer to the girl. “It’s alright, you’re perfectly safe,” I could just barely hear her talk to the dragon while she petted his head which he seemed happily content. The meeting went on as it seemed that for the mean time it was decided that the dragon was staying with Lizzy until he was more grown. She even named him; Shu. The meeting went on a while longer before it came to an end.
It was a couple of days as I’ve been watching over Lizzy and Shu since that’s what Florin has wanted. Lizzy certainly was a strange girl, but she was interesting; though I will admit there are times where it seems she acts slightly stranger than usual, but I don’t think much of it. We were all currently gathered in the cafe that was in the night class, I silently watched while Zeus and the other guys were being loud. ‘Hey,” I heard Lizzy’s voice greet as she sat on the stool next to mine as Shu was happily nested in her arms. “Hey,” I replied back plainly before adding “Are they always like this?” She let out a giggle as hearing that caused something in my chest to stir. “Yeah the guys can get pretty rowdy whenever we’re hanging out here, haha but then again they’re pretty rowdy no matter where we are,” she answered as she said it more in a fond manner than an annoyed one. The door suddenly slammed open to reveal Klaus as he looked completely out of breath as he was missing his hat.
“Klaus, what are you doing here, what’s wrong,” I heard Elias ask when he went over in which everyone else stopped what they were doing. “There’s something approaching the academy,” he said while trying to catch his breath as everyone seemed to be in shock and when I looked over to Lizzy she was surprised but recovered and jumped off the stool. We were all running to get outside and once we did the sight that was in the distance was a disturbing one. “What are those,” Zeus shouted as in the distance it looked like it was a flock of creatures as though it was hard to make out what they were from here, but I already had a bad feeling. Looking over to Florin as he was already looking at me with the same expression of concern. I suddenly heard Zeus and Lizzy having a small argument; “Just take him for me,” she said at Zeus as he just gave her a narrow look before shouting back “What for?!” Letting out a frustrated growl Lizzy carefully but forcefully handed Shu over to Zeus as she snipped back “Just shut up and hold him for me please!”
She was quick to walk away as she was passing by us all when she started to undo the buckle of her cloak, I could only raise an eyebrow in confusion. “Lizzy you got-” I heard Albert calling over to her as to my surprise when the cloak came off and tossed to the side she was dressed in a white uniform instead of her usual prefect uniform. “I’m already on it Albert,” she shouted back as what she was doing with a pocket knife-wait... Is she about to hurt herself?! Watching as she sliced her right palm while reciting a spell I could see the trickle of blood when three purple magic circles in the air appeared. “She’s a necromancer,” I heard Florin say in shock as there before all of us appeared a reanimated griffin, hippogriff, and a thunderbird.
She ran and hopped on the back of the thunderbird as it let out a loud squawk before taking off into the air as the other beast followed as storm clouds gathered. “Well what are we waiting for, let's go help her,” Caesar jumped in until Albert shook his head in a no manner. “It’d be safer if we stayed out of her way; aside from Florin and Light being here, right now she’s the only Ministry agent here qualified for combat,” Albert said as Zurvan finally arrived and landed for us to hop on. “Surely that can’t be-” I heard Elias interjecting until I heard Klaus’ voice cut him off. “Unfortunately as much as I hate to say this, but Albert is correct. Out of the three of us here she’s the only one extensively trained for these situations,” Klaus said as looking out there were bolts of lightning and other spells flying through the air.
“Don’t worry we’ll provide her back up,” Florin said right before we took off and Zurvan flew through the sky. “It was just as we feared… Demi-wyverns,” Florin said in a worried tone as I felt an overwhelming feeling of anxiety ripple through my body; if they were here… She could only be close by. For a moment I was drawn to watching the reanimated thunderbird maneuver through the sky as the rain was pouring and there was Lizzy fighting casting spells but she also was wielding a blade that was in a similar shape of a cleaver, but only much longer. It was actually amazing to witness it was almost captivating, but I focused on helping fight and taking out the demi-wyverns. Letting out a low growl I cut through another beast as there really was just no end to them but then the sound of the all familiar roar that would haunt my dreams echoed throughout the sky. The storm clouds seem to only grow darker as from the clouds was when she came out of the clouds; the sorrow dragon. “What the hell is that thing,” I heard Lizzy shout which though I couldn’t see her face I could only tell how shocked she must feel, this wasn’t good; the sorrow dragon is a lot bigger than last time.
“Lizzy, do not engage it! Repeat do not engage! That’s the sorrow dragon, you’ll get badly hurt,” Florin shouted loudly as another clap of thunder filled the air. The dragon’s mouth opened as it was charging up a blast as I wasn’t sure where she was going to aim it. “Zurvan be careful dodging its attacks,” Florin told Zurvan while the black artificial dragon nodded his head. The countless beams of lasers came flying out of the dragon’s mouth as Zurvan was flying and weaving through the sky to avoid them. Glancing over to check on Lizzy, her thunderbird and other beasts were evading the beams. But that all changed when I witnessed a demi-wyvern fly right into them allowing the sorrow dragon to unleash an attack. “Lizzy,” I shouted as I watched in horror as she held onto the now plummeting thunderbird until it hit the ground.
Zurvan was already starting to fly down to land while continuing to avoid the beams; lord please let her be alright. I adjusted myself and jumped off of Florin’s dragon and once I landed I started to run over to Lizzy as from here I could see her slowly moving. “Get up! Lizzy you gotta get up,” it seemed the both of us were shouting as glancing up at the dragon she was already aiming another attack at Lizzy. Lizzy rolled out of the way right in time as the beam blew up the ground she was just laid seconds ago, what a relief. Cutting down the demi-wyverns that were getting in my way I didn’t stop, I couldn’t stop running; I needed to protect her. Lizzy continued to jump out of the way of the beams and dodged them, good to see she was light on her feet.
I was getting closer, if I could just grab her and summon my bird I could at least get her to safety. I heard her shriek in pain as my eyes widened in fear when seeing the blood spill from her left arm, oh no she was slowing down. A twisting pain in my chest constricted my chest with every beam that just managed to nick her. The attacks came to a stop as I noticed the dragon was going for one big attack; no, no, no! I can’t allow her to kill another person I care about! Finally having reached her that beam was already flying right this way, I had no other choice in which I pushed Lizzy out of the way. I felt the familiar searing pain when the attack hit as I heard my name being screamed. Lizzy was the last thing I saw before my sight became blurry and feeling my body dropping to the ground. “I’m… Sorry, please forgive me,” I softly said and then everything went black.
I felt myself laying on the ground, though I didn’t feel any pain my whole body felt so sore, so heavy. Again just like the first time I couldn’t open my eyes as I didn’t hear humming, I didn’t hear the girl’s voice. “This must be it then… huh,” I thought to myself as I came to terms with death a long time ago, but why do I feel so sad. “Light!” I suddenly heard my name be called when I felt hands on my shoulders and I was being shook. “Light you stupid jerk wake up,” I heard the voice say again as feeling my eyes being able to open I froze; that sounded a lot like Lizzy. My eyes opening up I blinked a few times and there she was. “Wait-wait… Lizzy is that you,” I asked as I know I was confused last time I was here but… Why was she here, how was she even here to begin with. “Yes it’s me! Now what the hell were you thinking throwing your life away like that,” she shouted as though she sounded angry she looked more upset than anything.
Shaking her head she pulled her arms away and back to her side. “It was the only thing I could think of! I didn’t want to watch another person I cared about dying to that creature… I wouldn’t have been able to forgive myself if you had died,” I answered slightly looking away though I felt her eyes on me. Hearing a sigh slip from her mouth I looked over at her when she said, “Look we don’t have time for this, we both gotta wake up now.” I opened my mouth to ask her something, but just like the first time there was a bright light blinding me.
My eyes shot open as I was quick to force myself to sit up, heavily breathing. Wincing I hunched over in pain, feeling the soreness of my body but then I remember Lizzy had to be around here. “Lizzy,” I called out her name picking my head up and looking around which right by me resting against a tree she was. I watched as she woke up and looked over at me before she started to get up. Looking at her she had a couple more tears in her uniform. She walked over to me and held out her hands to me as she told me “Come on, we gotta get out of here. I have no clue if all the demi-wyverns are gone or not.” Taking her hands I was able to get up with her help as thankfully it wasn’t that painful to stand, her hands felt so warm.
“Wait Lizzy tell me how you were able to do that, how is it even possible for anyone to be even able to do that,” I asked as it made no sense, never in my life have I ever heard of a human being able to even do such a thing. “Now ISN’T the time for this talk, once we’re safely back at the academy I’ll tell ya okay,” she said before pointing at my chest before quickly adding “And don’t you EVER do that again got it!” Not wanting to anger or upset her any more I just silently nodded in agreement and with that the two of us started walking. “Say what happened after I blacked out,” I asked after a little while of there being silence between us. “I freaked out and ran over to grab your body to get you out of there. Florin and Zurvan were continuing to fight off the demi-wyverns as thankfully some friends of ours from the Ministry showed up to help out though… The sorrow dragon did get away,” she softly explained as while walking she stopped for a moment, wincing as if she was in pain and slightly hunched over.
“You’re hurt,” I said, making my way over to her as quick and carefully as possible, but she just seemed to step away from me. “I’m fine, nothing that I can’t handle. It’ll heal on its own,” she responded quickly as when she turned to start walking again my eyes widened at the sight of her back. Her once medium long hair looked shorter like it got sloppily chopped but that wasn’t the worst of it; the back of her uniform had three long diagonal tears as the fabric was stained red. Rushing to catch up to her I grabbed her wrist and carefully pulled her back, she must have been in so much pain as it only made my chest get that familiar twisting feeling. She looked like she was ready to say something but paused only to say, “While I was trying to carry you to the forest a demi-wyvern attacked me from behind is all. Like I said before it’ll heal on its- ugh.”
I tensed up at the sight of her starting to slightly stagger, even the look on her face made it look like she wasn’t doing so good. Lizzy just suddenly started falling towards me as I closed the little distance there was catching her in my arms before I fell to my knees while holding her. Pushing her still wet hair out of her face I noticed a small cut on her cheek, well it looked more like a small scar now. “Lizzy, Lizzy,” I called her name in a panic which I put my fingers to her neck to check her pulse; her pulse felt normal but maybe not as strong. Gritting my teeth I felt so angry with myself, I tried to protect her yet I still failed to even do that. I was brought out of my thoughts by a screeching sound and when I looked up I saw there were a couple of demi-wyverns. “Shit this isn’t good,” I growled to myself taking a small moment to glance down at Lizzy holding her head to my chest protectively. Grabbing the handle of my sword it wasn’t going to be easy to fight in my condition, but if I don’t it’ll be the end of both of us.
The next thing to happen took me by surprise; suddenly out of nowhere the nameless appeared and attacked the creatures until they were destroyed. “Great first the demi-wyverns and now the nameless; could anything else make this day any worse.” I thought to myself as oddly the nameless seemed to just… Melt away but I was back on alert when I heard an unfamiliar voice. “To think things have taken a turn for the worse, though I guess it hasn’t gone to complete shit,” I looked over to see a man with long pink hair that was tied back and only one eye visible and wore a mask covering his mouth; needless to say I didn’t like the looks of this guy. “Who the hell are you,” I asked loudly, giving him a cold glare. “Who I am is none of your business. Give her to me,” the mystery man said as he seemed to be eyeing Lizzy, taking a step closer which I held her closer to me while being mindful of her injuries. “No way I’m handing her over to you,” I snapped back as the pinkette just seemed to look mad by the furrow of his brow. “Just to make myself clear I could care less what happens to you, but on the other hand I need her to be alive or everything I’ve worked so hard on will have just gone to waste. Now hand her over so I can bring her to the safety of the academy,” he repeated himself as I had no idea what this guy was talking about as he continued to walk closer. “I said no! Wherever she goes I go with her. There’s no way I’m just letting some stranger take her,” I sternly said as he rolled his eyes.
“Heh another knight keeping guard, how annoying,” he simply stated while I was slowly standing up and carrying Lizzy in both arms. Another knight, what’s that even supposed to even mean? I mentally questioned to myself but decided not to dwell on it too much. Keeping my distance from the man I followed him as I was ignoring the tiredness my body was feeling with every step I took. I don’t know how long it took but soon enough I saw us drawing near the academy entrance, we finally made it. Collapsing to my knees I heavily breathed as I felt so tired, but I was happy to have managed to get us back safely. “You better protect her, if anything is to happen to her I’ll hunt you down,” I heard the pink haired man say and when I went to look over to where he was, the man was suddenly gone. Too exhausted to care I felt my eyes growing heavier and harder to keep open. “Hey guys I found them,” I heard a loud voice in the distance that I couldn’t make out. “Alfonse! Alfonse get over here,” more shouting voices I heard but I passed out before I could see anyone.
Feeling myself stir in my sleep I moved my hands to rub my eyes before opening them and all I saw was a ceiling. Just at a glance I guess I was in an infirmary and when I looked down at myself I saw I was wrapped in bandages. I really couldn’t remember much besides getting us back to the front of the academy- wait where’s Lizzy?! Scrambling to sit up in the bed, I needed to go find her. “Light stop! You can’t strain yourself, your body is still healing,” I was stopped by two hands and looking to my right was when I saw it was her. She was in casual clothing, I noticed how both her legs and arms were wrapped in bandages and a large band aid on her face where the small scar was. “How are you feeling, I was so worried when you just fell over- your hair,” I asked as I reached a hand out to put it over the bandaid and it was then when I noticed her hair was shorter, moving my hand to her hair to lightly run my fingers through it and gently held the end of it.
“I’m sorry for scaring you like that, I kinda overused my magic. Huh, oh right haha,” she explained as seeing her back to her usual self more or less made me feel relieved though seeing her face slightly grow pink was cute. “After I woke up and Alfonse checked up on me Klaus helped fix my hair. Can’t walk around looking like a five year old gave me a haircut haha,” she continued to talk which I couldn’t help but chuckle a little, but deep down I couldn’t help but still feel guilty about everything. “Lizzy, why did you save me the first time,” I asked suddenly which I seemed to take her by surprise when she looked at me with wide eyes before they went back to normal. “Well I guess I should first explain myself huh,” she said as I looked at her, carefully listening to her tell her story.
“So your contract with death… In exchange for you to perform more advanced spells of necromancy; you became one of his apprentices in maintaining people who die,” I repeated the main aspect of her story in which she nodded her head in a yes manner. “I saved you then because it wasn’t your time, as when I saved you again it still wasn’t your time; however even if it was,” I heard her talk more but she paused momentarily and my eyes widened when I saw she was starting to cry. “Even if it was, I would’ve saved you regardless because I couldn’t let you die like that! I didn’t want you to die protecting me,” she said in between her crying as it broke my heart to see her like this. Putting both hands on her face I cleared her tears away when I said, “Hey, hey please don’t cry. I’m sorry please forgive me.” Not only did she only get more hurt because of me, I made her cry because I made her worried; way to go Light. “J-Just don’t do that again,” I heard her say after sniffling to which I softly smiled leaning closer and placing a kiss on her forehead “I promise.”
“You should get some more rest; if you need anything just let me-ah” I heard her talking when she started to move to get up from the bed, but I carefully grabbed her and pulled her back over until she was lying beside me. “L-Light what are you doing,” she seemed to grow flustered and embarrassed by my actions as I lightly rolled my eyes. “You’re saying I need rest when you should be resting too, I wasn’t the only one who got hurt during that fight and if I have to hold you to keep you here I will,” I stated as I watched her puff out her cheeks in a pouting manner. “Fine fine you win,” she said giving in as it actually felt nice holding her in this manner, that warmth she gave off; it was relaxing. Briefly staring at the ceiling I then looked back down to Lizzy to say something but it seemed she already fell asleep as even Shu was fast asleep next to her. Softly smiled I brushed her bangs out of her face before carefully removing the flower from her hair so it wouldn’t get damaged. “Sleep well my angel,” I whispered, deciding to close my eyes to rest able to rest easy knowing she was safely beside me.
Bonus: here’s a lil drawing done by your’s truly a while back when I first came up with the fic idea~

#Legacies Summary, Previews, Synopsis & More
If you’ve missed watching the first three episodes of Legacies, don’t worry. I am here with the summary of what has happened so far. I’ll also post the Promotional Pictures of S01-E04 at the end of this article.
This is my first article ever on the Internet, although, I do post Game of Thrones reviews, theories and predictions videos on Youtube. I also post Legacies Promotional Pictures & Synopsis of the Upcoming episodes. And who am I? That’s one secret I’ll never tell. You know you love me. Xoxo...
Oops, wrong fandom... LOL... Just Kidding. This is Ultimate Book Maniacs.
If you’ve never watched Legacies before, I highly recommend it. Julie Plec had first made The Vampire Diaries, then The originals, and now with all that experience behind her, she brings us Legacies. So without waiting any longer, let’s begin.
Alaric and Caroline have turned the Salvatore house into the “Salvatore School for the young and gifted.” They started this school to provide a safe place for the supernatural kids, so they can learn to control their worst impulses.
When Landon Kirby’s foster brother Rafael accidentally kills his girlfriend and triggers his werewolf curse, Hope and Alaric go to the bring him to the school. Landon sees Hope using her magic, and they bring him to the school with them. After getting all the information from him about Rafael, they call MG to compel Landon to forget everything and go home, but the compulsion doesn’t work, which leads them to believe that the Town Sheriff Matt Donovan has slipped Vervain (a herb which protects people from being compelled and hurts vampires) into the coffee at the Gas Station. They put Landon in a cell for the Vervain to pass through his system so that they can compel him again. Lizzie and Josie (Alaric’s twins) have a crush on Rafael, but Lizzie calls the dibs on him. Rafael seems to like Josie more.
After Klaus’s death, Hope doesn’t let people close to her anymore, but she lets her guard down for Landon. She stops him from touching an ancient knife in the Stephen Salvatore Memorial Library. Later Landon Kisses Hope.
MG compels Landon to forget about everything and go home. They find out that Landon stole the knife and didn’t go back home. Hope gets Josie to perform black magic with her to track him down to a bus. When they reach the bus, they find everyone on the bus has been incinerated.
Alaric, Hope and Rafael leave the school to see Landon. In her fury, hope steals a black magic death spell before they go. They find Landon who lies about having the knife and tells them a woman who breathes fire has killed all those people on the bus. Dorian tells them the woman is a dragon. She comes after Landon for the knife. Hope uses the death spell on the dragon, but when she hesitates to kill her, Alaric kills the dragon. He is mad at Hope for wanting to use the death spell on Landon saying this is her father, not her. Landon and Rafael leave while Hope and Alaric were busy with the Dragon. Landon leaves a letter behind.
While at the school, they have the annual game with Mystic high. They are not allowed to use magic and are supposed to lose to look like a typical rich kid school. Josie’s evil ex Penelope tells MG to use his powers to impress Lizzie because she knows he has a crush on her. Lizzie can’t take any more of Dana’s taunting. With Alaric gone, they decide to win the game, but Josie uses her magic to make them lose the game.
As punishment, Alaric volunteers everyone in the game and Hope for the community service. Lizzie blames Josie for making Kaleb drop the ball. Josie gets mad at her and goes with Hope where they start to bond. Dana, and Kyle mock Lizzie, MG & Kaleb. Kyle throws his milkshake on Lizzie. She gets mad and goes back to school. Alaric tells her to help with the Primary school students out in the garden, where a Gargoyle attacks them. Lizzie siphons a primary student Pedro’s powers, but instead of casting a spell to protect her, she casts a spell to lock the gargoyle in the school. It attacks Alaric, takes the knife but doesn’t kill him. When it tries to get out and couldn’t, it starts hunting Lizzie. Josie feels something is wrong, and she and Hope come back to the school. Alaric works on a theory that it doesn’t hurt humans and together they take out the Gargoyle. Alaric sends Dorian away with the knife.
Rafael and Landon are taking their lives on the road. When Rafael asked why he kept lying about the blade, Landon says the Knife wanted him to steal it and to lie about it. Landon gets Rafael to use his powers to win some bets and make money. They become the target of a Werewolf Hunter but are saved by Jeremy Gilbert, who brings them back to the school.
So, that’s all that has happened in Legacies so far. As for what will happen next? Here’s the promotional photos of  1x04, and the synopsis for the 4th and 5th episodes.

That time my players fought Cthulhu with a Tarrasque and an Airship.
So, at the request of a few people on a D&D forum I frequent, here's the story of how my players faced the summoning of Cthulhu and the subsequent attempt to stop it with nothing more than a stolen airship and a Tarrasque. This will certainly be an extremely long post full of homebrew shenanigans, spelling errors and vastly changing writing which I certainly don't expect many to read, but hopefully those who do will enjoy it.  Lets start with the players and the world to get some familiarity: Eressi is a planet with 2 major continents; the southern Kingdoms of the United Colonial Confederation (UCC) and the Imperialist National Coalition (now turned Empire) known as the INC. At each of the poles are immense areas of unexplored tundra that spread for thousands of miles. These areas are known simply to all civilizations as either 'The North' or 'The South', and are the most dangerous places in Eressi - not just because of the creatures that are said to dwell there, but the elements themselves. Both major continents stand in a cold war that has lasted for around 100 years. This has pushed both technology and magic to what can only be described as an arcane industrial revolution. Due to the huge oceans and dense fauna that covers both continents, airships and aircraft in general are widely accepted as the main form of transport, both personal and military. The party currently consists of: Adagio -Kenku Shadow Monk, one of many messengers fro the UCC. Maru -A Catfolk Pirate on the run from the UCC for 'terrorism and aggressive acts towards UCC military' Cie -A Human Wizard who arrived in Eressi by reality jumping seemingly through the Realm of the Elder Gods. Niklas -A Dragonborn Paladin of Bahamut from Aner Keep in the INC, home to the Dragon Riders of Aner. Vincent -A Human Gunslinger from the UCC. He went AWOL from the military after a fight went bad and now works as a mercenary for hire, currently under the employment of the INC. Oracle -A Tiefling Bard who recently met the group after being captured by cultists in the North. Originally from the UCC, her business is currently in revenge of the personal type. Barrowborn Irondrake -An NPC Dwarf Librarian the party saved from cultists and has since been added in as a much loved member of the group (even though I've tried to kill him on multiple occasions) Bellowbrand Irondrake - NPC librarian, brother of Bellowbrand Augustus Derlith -NPC Gnome Librarian Lizzie Benjin - Human Librarian Our party began their journey with specialized aircraft, personalized to their own tastes, but after unfortunate circumstances involving an unknown mass/creature infecting the denizens of Shadowfell, rather large explosions, and a pretty confused island turtle, they've currently decided walking seems to be easier to handle, though many are already starting to miss the safety of the sky. Upon reaching the ancient stronghold-turned-city of Blebuff, they first came into contact with a cult they eventually discovered to be devoted to the 'Dreaming God', which, after much digging, they discovered to be Cthulhu, a being residing the far realms of the Elder Gods. Naturally, after realizing they rather liked the world not consumed by madness, they set off to stop it. Our story takes place after the party had teamed up with a collection of investigators - known as 'Librarians' - in order to locate and stop the ritual summoning of the Dreaming God to the material plane. After working their way through a very twisted and warped underdark and successfully stopping a Pit Fiend using the weakened planes in the North to emerge and take revenge on Barrowborn and his brother for reasons yet to be explained, they ended up falling into the infected plane of Shadowfell "again". A hellish fight ensued in which one of the librarians lost the use of her legs, but luckily Maru managed to bury the swarms of infected undead and a gigantic Xenomorphus rex under a mile or two of earth before things got any worse. The party then finally made it to the R'an Coast - a frozen ocean, hidden from the world within the mountains of the North. Taking refuge inside a battered, old shack half buried in snow, the party considered their options and plan of attack. Both steam powered constructs the Librarians had were gone and one of them (Lizzie)  couldn’t walk due to the severe acid burns across her legs. It wasn’t looking good for them. Then, across howling winds, drifted strange, wistful music from beneath the two colossal structures protruding from the mass of ice. Like tendrils, they worked their way upwards into the sky, forming a one-thousand foot high eye that gazed across the cold wastes. Between the two structures floated a perfectly spherical, infinitely black ball, easily three hundred feet in diameter, that pulsed with every chord of the strange melody emitting from the camp below. It didn’t take the party long to figure out how the ritual was being performed. The arcane music sent ripples pulsing up between the eye, using it as a gigantic tuning fork to find the perfect sequence of vibrations that would shatter the sphere and tear open a rift to the Other Realm. Not wishing to risk any further delays, the group made haste in the blistering cold to the base of the eye, where a large camp had been established. A small collection of airships had been landed along the ice on the right of the camp; the left a maze of tents, mechanical parts and cultists, all moving back and forth through the walkways, heavily armed with rifles, pistols and flak armour. The group successfully infiltrated the camp nearby the ships, with Maru climbing aboard one to use as a quick getaway should they need it. Cie, Niklas and Vincent worked their way forward covering on another as the nature of the music revealed itself. A steel stage, forty feet wide and littered with ghoulish creatures greeted their eyes. Amongst them, stood a gothic bard, covered in hellish makeup and grinning wildly as she directed the gruesome concert. Below the stage, a pile of dead bodies grew ever larger as she pulled up more and more prisoners to sacrifice for the ritual.Suddenly, a Tiefling burst from one of the tents, and made to escape, before the bard clicked her fingers and froze her in place. Pulling her up onto the stage, she look toward the ghouls, their knives bloodied and their eyes hungry for flesh. Before she could react, the party leapt into action. Niklas and Vincent threw themselves onto the stage, opening fire and drawing blades before the bard turned and stepped through a dimension door, leaving them to deal with the ghouls alone. Cultists began running into the fray, opening fire with their rifles, catching Adagio as he shadow stepped onto the stage to assist Vincent and Niklas. Divine magic met piercing bullets as the Paladin took cover behind his shield, blockading the storm of fire from the now unconscious Tiefling. Maru loaded his new home made rocket launcher and began peppering the bard with alchemical bombs in an effort to keep her busy, while Cie sprinted off to begin taking apart the huge transformers sitting at the back of the stage, in a bid to cut the power from the speakers. The bard began hurling spells across the battlefield, laughing amidst the chaos before bringing down a flash of lightning that slammed into the dragonborn, sending sparks crackling across his armour. Looking down, niklas saw the Tiefling in her final moments. Tears rolled down her cheek from her one good eye, the other battered and broken from the spell, before she went limp in his arms. The bard cackled as more cultists threw themselves onto the stage, cocking rifles and forming firing lines at the Monk, Gunslinger and Paladin standing before them. She knew they were coming. Many hours earlier, Cie sent over a familiar to scout the area, which was quickly dispelled as it flew over the stage. Recognizing magic when she saw it, and expecting Librarians, the bard had set up a convincing trap: create the illusion of a Tiefling running away from the stage in a bid to draw out anyone who would be seeking to stop her, and crush those that appear under an iron boot. And it fell into place perfectly. Niklas looked down as the body of the Tiefling became mottled and rotten, revealing itself to be nothing more than an animated corpse under the influence of seeming. Picking her way through the alchemical thorns covering the ground from Marus bombs, she began to press the party to join her. After all, what could a meagre force of adventurers like them have that could stop her? A crack of thunderous metal sparked the air as she spoke, cutting her off mid sentence. As she stood atop the stage once again, she turned back to the battlefield before her. There, emerging alongside the dwarf brothers, both covered in blood, stood the Tiefling she had used in her illusion so readily. Oracle stepped forward, throwing back the arcane music with her own magical six string, her eyes aglow with the fiery aura of a bard scorned. “No more games Ivanka!” she shouted across the booming thunder and clash of music. “You want to play? Let’s play!” Ivanka clenched her fists in anger before summoning her own bass guitar; it’s edges bladed and spined with dark magic. Their hope restored with the addition of their new allies, the party leapt into action, opening fire on the cultists, ghouls and Ivanka herself with all the fury they could muster; knowing the world itself hangs in the balance. The fight was long and bitter, with the arcane bardic dual flashing across a battlefield strewn with bodies and bullets. Vincent and Adagio dodged round after round while duelling with the two remaining ghouls, before successfully dispatching them both in a flurry of blows and close range firepower. Niklas threw himself at Ivanka, knocking her down the steps leading toward the stage, before plunging his blade into her side with the divine power of Bahamut itself channeled into the blade. A resounding shockwave rippled outwards, both sides giving pause but for a moment before throwing themselves into the fray once again. Arcane explosions rang out as Cie took out a collection of transformers with her sniper rifle and the aid of the paladin’s Wyvern mount before wheeling around to put rounds in the chest of two cultists attempting to open fire on her. Niklas stood over the bleeding body of Ivanka, taking the sword and plunging it deep into her chest. As the life ebbed away from her, a gurgling retching began working it’s way into her throat. Niklas pulled out the blade as blackened ichor streamed from the wound, lashing out as if alive before working its way around the bard’s lifeless body. Before they could react, the cultists nearby began shuddering, dropping to the floor under the same strange affliction, before their bodies tore apart, birthing gibbering, multi mouthed horrors from within. Adagio grabbed Vincent, and reached out for Niklas as Ivanka too tore apart, her arcane form a conduit now for a creature from the Realm of Madness itself. As the mass of tendrils and mouths began to take shape and grow, the party realized they were too late. The screeching, gibbering aberration dredged itself forwards towards them as the music, now playing from some strange otherworldly realm, began growing all around them. Maru shouted over the din to the others and the party began clambering onto one of the UCC airships he’d managed to get running. The gigantic sphere began cracking; shedding itself between the two structures and collapsing into dust, before the reality around both it and the eye warped inwards, tearing a deep score in the fabric of the material plane. Beyond, infinite space; an empty void between stars steeped in a madness that clawed at all who gazed upon it. The ground beneath the airship split as darkness began seeping from underneath the ice. Clawed hands reached upwards, as the Xenomorphus Queen pulled itself out, bringing with it a host of screeching, howling infected that threw themselves across the landscape, blanketing the gibbering horrors in minutes and consuming them into the fold. Shadowfell had broken, and with the weakened planar state now at its worst, the party looked on in horror as the ice below them transformed into a chittering, screaming mass of black and bone. As one, everyone aboard the ship felt a crack of psionic energy slam into them as a titanic hand reached out from the rift. Grabbing one side of the structure, and towering six hundred feet high, the Dreaming God began pulling itself through the portal; its feet crushing the mass of black beneath them and sending a small tsunami across the remaining ice. Niklas pulled out the ancient stone tablet the party had discovered on Agh Aight, the Island Turtle the week before, and looked across at the madness coursing through the rift into the material plane. Feeling the direction of his god behind him, he shouted over to the others on board. “It’s now or never! I need help activating this. It’s the only thing we have now!”Cie ran over to Niklas, a look of determination in her eyes, before place her hands across the arcane sigils etched in the stone. “If we do this, it could kill you. Are you sure?” Niklas looked back at Cie, and across to Adagio and Oracle, their hands both on the sigil alongside his. “What choice do we have Cie? I have to fulfill my oath.” Adagio looked toward Niklas, and out towards the growing chaos. “Well, lets hope this works.”Cie and Oracle begin channeling what arcane energies they have left within them into the Titan Shard, it’s stone carvings beginning to fill with a deep mystical light at their touch. Niklas summons the last of his divine strength and steels himself for the backlash of the Titan Sigil’s activation with the aid of Adagio whilst Maru heads off towards the engines. The Titan Sigil cracked, bathing the group in a warm glow before crumbling into a fine dust in the now battered dragonborn’s hands. Wincing from his drained life force, Niklas nods to the others and takes off, using the cloak of levitation to get his as close as possible to the rift, before throwing the dust towards the emerging form of Cthulhu, muttering the incantations of the forbidden spell. The dust streamed forward like a bolt of lightning towards the vast titan now being engulfed and bonded by the black screaming mass below it, slowly beginning to take shape. NIklas looked up at the mountain of Cthulhu, its green skin shifting black, and watched in horror as the tendrils hardened, sprouting sharp spines across them. The Elder God had become infested with the nature of Shadowfell and the hellish horrors that had infected it. Pulling itself out of the rift, it strode forward, looking out across the mountains and letting out another psychic scream as it began drawing upon its new powers, before the world’s biggest attack dog burst into existence and latched onto it’s midriff. A monstrous roar thundered across the Ra’n Coast as the Tarrasque, manifested and bound to the will of the weakened paladin crashed into the ice. It’s claws tore at the ground, before finding purchase and dragging the newly born avatar of Cthulhu back toward the open rift. With a mighty swing, the god grabbed the ferocious titan, easily half it’s size, and threw it out across the frozen wastes. The Tarrasque skidded to a halt before catching itself and rushing its gargantuan bulk forwards to attack again. “What the hell are we doing?!” Maru shouted into the comms as the two titans slammed into each other. “We need to run!”Vincent gripped the helm tightly and began spinning the ship around. “If we run now, we risk losing everything. We have to fight!”The party held on as the UCC airship tilted sharply, banking back around to support the paladin, now hovering a good distance away, desperately trying to stay in control of the forbidden spell. “Oracle, you think you can grab him if I get underneath?” Oracle, still at a loss for words at what she had just witnessed, nods. “Yes! I think so, just get me close enough!” The Tarrasque bit down into the arm of the Elder God again, pulling it down and dragging it further toward the rift as the tendrils scraped across it’s armoured carapace. With another scream of psionic energy, a huge clawed hand slammed into its mouth, prying open the jaws before they gnashed down again, spraying black ichor across the god’s chest. It’s gaze met Niklas, before the Wyvern slammed its tail into the singure eye protruding from its head. An explosion of blood and viscera sent the beast into freefall for a moment, before the Dreaming God clasped a fragment of it’s mind around both the Wyvern and its master. Niklas found his vision blocked, his body frozen, before his mind focused inwards; his sanity ebbing away as Cthulu played with his mind. The Tarrasque continued to savage it back and forth, before being lifted off the ground and assailed by the spined tendrils, screeching in pain and they plunged deep into the weak spots between the chitin. Suddenly, Cthulhu’s shoulder buckled, but for a moment, as the shadow stepping form of Adagio slammed his fists with all his might into its collor bone. Niklas, sensing the brief distraction, pulled his mind free of the torment and found himself dragged onto the deck of the ship by Oracle.“Niklas, look out!” she shouted, before the tendrils slammed into the belly of the airship, sending splinters of wood and metal falling into the abyss below. “Just keep it busy! We can do this!” Niklas shouted, regaining control of the Tarrasque, and sending it clambering across the chest of the titan, savaging it before being thrown off and crashing into the icey waves below.Suddenly, the deck behind them both twisted, warping in on itself as reality shifted once more, bringing with it a host of gibbering, hissing monstrosities, that lunged across the deck towards the adventurers. The gigantic, bear sized insects scrabbled across the deck before latching onto Niklas and Oracle with reckless abandon. Gunfire burst from the cockpit as vincent opened fire on another one, before the dwarf librarian Bellowbrand, threw himself at it with both daggers drawn. “Hang on lad! I’ve got this one!”The creature shrieked before wheeling around and grappling the dwarf with its pincers, the tendrils secreting a paralyzing venom that the dwarf barely held at bay. Maru, now desperately using whatever chemicals he could fine to accelerate the engines, looked across at the other two librarians, Barrowborn and Augustus who were also below deck trying to avoid having the engines explode under the strain Vincent was putting on them. “Vincent!” Maru shouted over the radio “I think I’ve got a plan to get us out of here at least! Just give me the signal!” Turning to Augustus, he signalled for him to get the concoction ready. Bellowbrand, hearing his brother’s shouting over the radio looked to Maru, nodded, and drew his longsword. A monumental crash shook the ship at the Tarrasque landed on the ice, lashing out again as Cthulhu stepped away from the rift. Tearing into its leg, the monstrosity held fast, digging it’s claws into the ice and held it’s ground. The god, now slowly growing in power as it began warping the reality around itself, reached down and slashed across its face, gouging a deep groove in the heavy armour plates, but to no avail, as it’s titanic counterpart threw itself into the rift, pulling the Dreaming God with it. As the rift began to close, Cthulhu let out another roar of anger, grabbing onto the two monolithic structures and kicking back towards the Tarrasque, now drifting within the Elder Realm beyond. Vincent, seeing the opportunity, swung the ship around, facing the heavy engines towards the blinded, bloodied eye. “Now Maru!”The engines exploded in a burst of alchemical fire as the nitro concoction took hold, lurching the ship forwards as Cthulhu’s head rocked back from the firey impact. With a final thunderclap, the rift tore itself back together, reality realigning itself as the mists from the battle began settling across the mountainsides. Then a cacophonous psychic shriek filled the air, followed by a bellowing roar, as the bloody, battered form of Cthulhu lifted itself up, the deep leg wounds from the Tarrasques failed grapple dripping blackened undead onto the frozen ground below. With a hefty step forwards, the ground beneath it shook. Cthulhu was here to stay. Maru emerged from below deck alongside Barrowborn, seeing the chaos and heavy fighting still rife atop the steel floor of the ship. Without skipping a beat, he loaded another round into his bowgun and opened fire on the insectoid creatures savaging Niklas, before the sound of automatic weapons told him Barrowborn had found a shot into the cockpit and was assisting Vincent and Bellowbrand with the creature within. Oracle, freeing herself for a moment from the jaws of the hideous creature chittering between her and the cockpit, she took aim, sending a flurry of eldritch bolts cascading across its back, before a crack of a rifle punched a first sized whole in it’s abdomen and it fell limp on the floor. Cie reloaded and took aim again, emerging from below deck after looking after the wounded, ready to finish the fight. Gunfire erupted across the deck as one by one the otherworldly manifestations fell to bullet, sword, and brutal hand to hand combat. After a few more tense minutes of fighting a well place shot from Vincent saw the last invader collapse into a gooey mass on the floor of the cockpit before shifting back into it’s own reality. Reloading her bolt rifle, Cie looked out past the mountains to the Eye at the End of the World. “So what now? We can’t just leave it there!”Vincent looked across at her, blood-soaked and bruised. “I don’t know. We need more help to fight that thing, and we’re out of options” Nikolas leant in, exhausted from the fight, his armour littered with dents and ichor. “We regroup, and we work out our next move.” Cie nods solemly. “Fine” she said looking over at the others. “I think we need to speak to Dreven.”
