The paper lining the table was rough and itchy against Rory's bare thigh. She shivered, pulling the paper gown tighter around her. Why were hospitals always so cold? Logan stood in the corner, pretending to be engrossed in a diagram depicting the dilation of the cervix.

"Kind of takes away the fun of the nurse costume lingerie I wore that one time huh?"

Logan's eyes bulged from his head. "ACE!" he choked, "you can't bring that up just anywhere!"

Rory smiled. It had been Halloween weekend and after a few too many drinks, she was feeling a little spicy and had finally given into Logan's request. He had begged her to wear it again every time after that, all the way until they had broken up. "Glad to see it still has that effect on you."

Logan turned to fully face her. "You could wear a paper bag and it would have that effect on me."

She playfully rubbed her paper gown. "Today's your lucky day then, Look it's even two ply."

He walked over to the table, rubbing the thin paper between his fingers. "It even opens in the front."

Rory's stomach flip flop. "Only you could make a doctor's office paper robe into dirty talk."

He leaned in, so close that Rory could feel his warm breath on her cheek. "You started it."

"Well I wish you would finish it." she said, her voice barely a whisper.

i like how dean represents rory’s humble small town stars hollow world and logan represents rory’s wealthy ivy league world and rory being torn between these two worlds is basically the theme of the show, so you’d think that the narrative would be very dean vs logan. yet both of them are intimidated not by each other but by this little guy who comes out of nowhere during both relationships, displays an undeniable connection with rory and dips. i love it.

Time for a round up of my favorite things ever: old Gilmore Girls promos! If you’ve never seen these, you’re in for a treat because I laugh so hard every time.

This is my personal favorite. You’ll notice that green is a theme in the later season promos. Luke peering around the corner is the best part of this 💀

More green! Also, more creepy faces and bad editing. Sorry for another Christopher promo, but the shitty editing and the way they make it seem Lorelai has never heard the word fiancé before is perfect advertising.

Luke and Lorelai advertising is good as well. Here Luke is again, hiding behind Lorelai. I also love how Luke is never dressed how he actually dresses in the show. Also, let’s just appreciate the way Lorelai is holding that apple.

I found this promo twice, once with Logan and once with Dean, I’m not sure which one I like better…

I’ve found that the earlier season Gilmore Girls promos are almost exclusively in black and white, which really adds to the drama. I know this is supposed to be dramatic, but it just looks like Dean and Jess are about to kiss.

Here are my favorite Jess promos…clearly he learned how to hide behind a Gilmore girl from Luke.

“Where is he?” Paris said, as Rory opened the door. She pushed past Rory, charging into Lorelai’s house full speed.

Doyle lagged behind her, tugging a large black duffle bag up the stairs. “Hi, Rory, how are you feeling?”

“I’m now scared for Logan.” Rory chuckled.

They walked into the living room, where Logan and Paris stood in an already heated debate.

“I never said it was easy!” Logan argued.

Paris got close to his face. “She is allowed to whine all she wants! Have you seen what happens during childbirth?! It’s raw! Messy! Gory and disgusting! The Blair Witch Project looks like freaking Sesame Street compared to childbirth! It’s like pushing a saint bernard out of a Capri sun straw! And before that can even happen, her body has to dilate. Let’s see how easy you think it is when your penis goes from the size of a cheerio to the size of a bagel!”

Logan smirked. “If my penis were the size of a bagel. . .”

Paris sighed. “Doyle! Bring me my bag!”

Logan glanced at Rory. “What kind of medieval torture device does she have in there? A katana? Maybe a mace? A good old fashioned club?”
