Kung fu Panda the dragon knight trailer just dropped and oh boyyyy do I need to talk about it

First off why do mr Ping look like that??? He even looks like that in the poster? Posession maybe? Idk but thats creepy

My girl Veruca being a girlboss plss I love her

I have mixed feelings about this because yes Luthera looks so beautiful with that headcovering on but I swear to fucking god if they try to give a western girlboss moment like "I refuse to wear this because the men dont have to so its sexist" forgetting that she is from freaking medieval England I will drop the show in an instant. Also if any of the characters is xenophobic to any of the different cultures I will drop it too (I trust the writers not to do that but even so)

Overall this trailer looks so fun and promicing!! I am very excited to see the dynamic between Luthera and Mr Ping and all of the new characters who will appear. I really hope their characters continue to develop properly and I really want to see them experiencing all of the traditions.

Btw I heard they are also going to central america... If there is not a capivara among them I am going to be mad.

You know we talk shit about how Jaune Arc wasn't able to see how interested in him Pyrrha was, but this woman was presented with the evidence of romantic poems a man was writting about her, and yet somehow needed six months to come to the conclusion that he had a crush on her.

"Look at the cute couple"

"Luthera bagged herself a husband surprising really "

"Maybe hes a vagabond aswell how else could she?"

"Hes so adorable!"

The crowd literally marvelled at how exotic the panda was. The villagers had caught wind not only of a supposed criminals return but of a man from far across the sea.

Po was embarrassed and blades ire had risen. She just wanted some peace.

"Im not, we're not exactly. Urm. A little help, blade?"

She huffed and began storming off. Po started to panic as the crowd were getting handsy.

"Hey wait for me!"

Po caught up to the brown bear. Catching his breath. Luthera wasnt paying any mind. Lost in her own dejection.

She was never one to get the attention of men. When she became of age the others scoffed and gave her a wide berth. It was uncouth for a woman to bare a blade.

She had no friends and the thought of a fellow knight or warrior who would offer his hand, not as a warrior but an equal was improbable. Perhaps something more if she dared the notion. It hurt nonetheless.

'Blade hello? You in their? Blade!"

Her response was shrill.

"What! What is it?"

The giant panda recoiled from her outburst. Guilt flashed breifly on the bears maw.

"Forgive me. I was....nevermind. whats the matter po"

He gave her a look of concern. Almost pleading. Luthera chest tightened. She hated the way his gazed crossed her like that. Adorable.

She was clearly upset. She sat away from him. She wanted to distance herself.

"The crowd were a bit...much right? They thought well....

He paused and blade turned away. Something was wrong.

"Heyyyhey blade. Whats wrong?"

Uncaring if it was appropriate or not he knelt by her side. He offered a comforting paw on her shoulder.

Silence

"Blade...?"

He didnt know what to do. She had withdrawn and her maw had this distant sorrow about it. His heart sank. The panda didnt want her feeling this way.

Blade knew rumours were already circulating. Untrue in their nature. Gossip amongst the ladies of court. How many more times must she go through with this torment?

How the panda and his goose father already drew attention. Ammunition for the arsenal of rumours. Rulkmini kept her head down and akna? Holed away with some plan or contraption to apprehend Veruca.

Blade just wanted peace. The calm before the storm. Fate however being cruel once more.

She trembled in frustration. Po tried his best to calm the bear. Why had she stormed off? He started to panic. She wouldnt respond to him. He had to get through. To make sure she was alright. He worried. Concerned for her wellbeing.

He cared about his family and friends. Cared for her in a way that confused him. Sure she was stubborn but honourable. Hed light up when she smiled at him. Grew giddy when they'd pal around. A sence of pride blossomed in his heart when she called him her first friend. His heart skipped a beat. When did admiration blur with adoration? He didnt dwell on it for long.

Something heavy fell on his chest. Disrupting his train of thought. Blade was leaning against his chest. Knees tucked in. A ball of trembling fur nestled against the plush of black and white.

Surprise etched on his maw. Looking to the left and right. Worried suddenly of an audience. The warrior who never faltered was....vulnerable.

Instinctively he wrapped his arms around her. Uncaring if she'd berate him later for it. He didnt know why she suddenly withdrew. Why warmth pooled in his chest. He'd question it later.

He rested his cheek on her head. Tightening his grip. Offering comfort as best as he could. She didnt utter a word. However her paw clenched a bit of his chest fur and he knew she needed this. Needed him. For a moment just to escape. Content in his arms.

Po held her. Happy to do so if it made her feel better. Right now he was at peace. For a fleeting moment their was no impending danger. No titles nor responsibility. Just her and him.

"I'm here Luthera, im here"

(Another drabble i could of put more effort in. Like methaphor and atmosphere. Maybe another time. Just wanted to get it out my head. Comforting polade. Po x blade)

Kung fu panda: Po's best companion

Still on the train of Kung fu panda, and...you know everyone saying the franchise is dead now cause of it's 4th movie. everyone seemed to forget that there was always 6 movies that were going to be made and that the 4th movie isn't THAT bad. don't believe me, go watch the megamind sequel and see how bad the movie COULD have been.

but, my feelings on everyone's negativity aside, I still want to talk about that kung fu doing Panda. here I want to give you all MY opinion on I believe is Po's best companion.

each and every instalment has given us a slew of new characters to fight alongside Po on his journey to become the world's best kung fu master.

in kung fu panda 1 we have Shifu, Tigress, crane, monkey, viper and mantis. these 6 follow into the tv series legends of awesomeness. while there are they are quite a few new companions, such as Peng, there only lasted for an episode or two. so it's the 5 who are po's companions.

in the second movie, the only two knew characters or Ox and Croc but they stay in prison. the soothsayer is sorta like Oogway, not a companion but a spirital teacher.

in the third movie, we take a change and have Po's dad, mr.Ping and his birth dad, Li Shan as Po's companions.

in the paws of fury, they introduce Po's panda students Nu Hai, Bao, Jing, and Fan Tong.

in Dragon knights we have the wandering blade, Rukhmini, Akna, Colin, and eventually Klaus Dumont.

now and in the newest movie we got Zhen in kung fu panda 4.

those are alot of friends, but who do I believe was and still is Po's best companion? answer:

it's Luthera, also known as wondering blade. Ha ah, believed I would tell you it was tigress, huh? sorry to you Tipo shippers but I believe Blade is not only Po's best companion but the shipper in me thinks she is also Po's best girl.

let me explain. while Po cares for everyone of his friends in their own ways there were some moments keeping me from thinking they were the best side kick to po and vise versa. some are his family, his students are really just his students, this includes Zhen and shifu is his teacher. the closest to being Po's true companion was monkey in the furious 5 and legends of awesomeness, still it isn't tigress, the reason is that each one claimed Po was their best friend in an episode or another (Tigress had yet to say that), I have so many issues with the legends of awesomeness series for making Po a borderline jerk so it makes sense that sometimes they'd turn their backs on Po. Even Tigress wants to Punch but holds back, hint: in an episode where Po makes the 5 forget their memories Tigress does punch Po and says it felts so right despite not remembering Po. so what about the movies? in the movies Tigress is super close, what prevents me from saying Tigress is Po's companion is that if she is ever given a choice, go with Po or stay behind to protect the jade palace, she choose to stay at the palace. similar in the third movie when shifu had to tell her to go find Po.

thus we get to Blade/Luthera. the dragon knights have some flaws. but it does things that I didn't realize that I wanted to see in this universe of animals. it's what do the other locations outside of China are like and what animals live there. like india, brazil, and england. it also made me realize I wanted to see Po interact with another bear, a different type of bear. it makes sense that he meets a brown bear.

this isn't a Blade vs Tigress debate as I seen many do compare the two and argue they should have just put tigress in since the two act similar ,....ok, do you sense a pattern here or is it just me, I'm saying Blade is different in ways that make her a better companion to Po.

as I mentioned Blade and Po have yin and yang dynamic. in one episode Po can be the hero while Blade is the side kick and in another it's Blade taking the lead and Po giving support. Blade keeps Po grounded and focused but needs him to give her emotional support. this is how her relationship on Po develops. while Po, losing his title as dragon master (this show is a separate canon so it's master instead of warrior) and he admits he also depended on Blade. in one moment the two admit they were lost before meeting each other. their combat mirrors this, Blade with swordsmen ship and Po with hand to hand, this gives them coverage. Po teaches Blade some belly attack and headbutts that she uses throughout while Po finally uses Blade's technique and fights with a sword. their reunion in the third season is also a spin hug, take that how you will. this all comes to the end of the series, in the beginning Po was on an eating vacation. taking stops here and there, and when the series is done Luthera joins Po on his adventure, Po stating they can go anywhere they want and her replying, that sounds perfect. Po is happy at the end when he says that he found..a best friend.

all this is why I believe Po and Luthera are the ultimate kung fu panda duo. this is just me thought, tell me who you believe is Po's best companion?

I watched Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight a while ago and now I'm imagining a conversation where Po is telling Wandering Blade about Lord Shen and the Sacred Flame and Blade is completely dumbfounded about how Po almost got defeated by a cannon, of all things.

30.08 // During the last days of summer holidays I had big hyperfixation on KFP: The Dragon Knight, Luthera and Po/Luthera. I was trying to draw Blade, so I could know how to do it. I went with both digital and traditional ways. I was shocked that I had two different styles on different flatnesses. I’d like to be closer to one style and still I have some problems with it xd Yup, I adored TDK series and Luthera. And I ship Po/Luthera, they’re so comfort ship <3
