So the recent chapter of Already Gone was amazing beyond words. The flashback, the fall, the fight!! Everything was just perfect and heartbreaking!! I can't ansnsnamjsks!!

Here's a gif to better represent my state of mind after reading the chapter -

Now the ring ,or more specifically the stone,caught my attention.

So I went did some research -

"Romans believed it was the most precious and powerful gem and a symbol of love, referred to as the Cupid Stone. That has led to some believing it holds the power to promote romance and passion. It has long been a symbol of hope, purity, and truth."

And for the diamonds-

"Diamonds are associated with strength, love and health."

I had to mention this because I loved this lil detail! 💕

OMG I LOVE THAT YOU CAUGHT THIS AND EVEN RESEARCHED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!

all of that is true, and the only thing i have to add is the greek symbolism which says: Traditionally opal has been known as a stone of foresight with the Greeks believing that it provided the gift of insight

wouldn’t it be cool if ginny’s ring was a physical manifestation promising that they will always love and find their way back to each other? no matter what??

I have many many half-written ideas... something I've written down very briefly is the idea of Ginny's patronus being a cat (because she is described as cat-like quite a few times. )

It's this old fic idea of mine! It's a college/muggle AU where Harry and Ginny are rivals/enemies. Harry picks up an old copy of Pride and Prejudice that has the best marginalia and he finds himself falling for the person who wrote them, only to find a scrap of paper with a phone number in it.

Harry twirled the piece of paper in his fingers. It could be a bloke, but his gut said otherwise. But even if he was right, what would he say.  Hello, I don’t know you but I sort of do, and in fact I think you’re brilliant. I bought a used copy of Pride and Prejudice and you’re clearly the funniest and clever person I have not yet met. And you kind of left your phone number in the book, so I thought I would give you a ring and see if you’d like to have dinner some time?  Harry groaned and dropped his head into his hands. He was absolute rubbish at dating. He’d only had one sort of relationship during secondary, and while Cho had been pretty and a skilled track and field hurdler, the whole thing had ended up quite a mess. In retrospect, he should have waited a bit longer after she and Cedric had broken up. Being an awkward rebound hadn’t been fun, and had resulted in his first kiss being wet with her tears.  If he called the number, would the person on the other line be a hopeless romantic, a bit like himself and his dad, or would it be more in the creepy stalkerish arena? Harry’s phone rang and he answered immediately, foolishly thinking somehow his mysterious margin writer had miraculously found him.  “Hello son!” A cheery voice buzzed in Harry’s ear. “Hey dad.” “Why the long face?” Despite himself, Harry laughed. “How would you know what kind of face I’m making?” “I can hear your brooding all the way over here.” Harry could hear his mum in the background asking what was wrong.  “I’m not brooding,” he lied. “I’ve just got a lot on my mind.” “Is it about a bird? Have you finally fallen for someone?”

@magical-vibes00 yay yay yay I’m so glad you’re in love with it!!! And I’m so glad you asked — I’ve been so antsy to post! The whole chapter will def come up sometime this week, life stuff has just taken up all my free time the last two weeks and I had this influx of new ideas to incorporate into the story so I’m trying to puzzle all the new bits together and make sure it all works! 🌼

Here ya go! The chapter was titled “Crescent Cottage” (which will give you a hint to where Harry’s visiting in this chapter 🥹) but due to the direction of the chapter as a whole it’s now titled: Another Lie 😏

“He leaves a pale Ginny on the landing and gets just beyond the Burrow wards and already he feels like he’s apparated, like everything is just a blur of colors and sounds with that horrible crushing sensation in his chest. He take a deep breathe, like maybe it will help, before he turns on the spot.

Bill gave him the location to Andromeda’s safe house last night and now he’s standing in front of an open grassy field that meet rights up to the forest. Looks down at the paper in his hand for a moment and when he looks up there’s a cottage he doesn’t recognize in front of him.

It’s painted a warm shade of yellow, with a thatched roof, and gigantic honeysuckle bushes spilling into the cobbled walkway. It has a white front door and he knows where he is before he sees the sign nailed to the gate.

He can feel the heavy vibration of the many layers of wards as he reaches for the gate, but he’s able to unlock it and it swings silently open at his touch. The walk that leads to the front door is cheerful and inviting and there’s already a painful lump in his throat. He doesn’t know what he’s going to say, realized that morning that even if he a had a lifetime to think about it, the words would never be enough, so he just knocks twice and waits.

It opens a few moments later and a woman he’s only met once before is standing in front of him. Her long dark hair falls around her angular face, her wide, dark eyes are rimmed-red, skin the same gaunt pallor as George’s. He watched as she pulls out a long, black willowy wand and points it at his chest.

‘What object was the portkey you used to leave my house last summer?’

‘A silver hairbrush.’

She lowers her wand and without a word stands aside to let him pass.”

Are you named after anyone? Well let's just say that my first name is the same as at least 6 other women in my family, I believe it's just tradition at this point 😅

When was the last time you cried? At the begging of this week, can't exactly remember if it was on Monday or Tuesday really (it was a good cry though).

Do you have kids? Not at the moment, I am more than happy to babysit for my family every now and then but that's it for now lol.

I was a jury in a fic contest a good while ago and it had a lot of Snamione shippers and it didn't matter how it was written, I kind of never could get behind it.

I can't say if it's the age gap or general differences, but it just always felt like they were too far apart as people to work. I can't say I genuinely hate it but I do not understand it at all and I will not be reading it any more voluntarily

So... I was just rereading TPFY (for the 100th time... dunno... ) and I was just going through all the daily prophet snippets. AND GUYS I DID NOT PAY THEM ENOUGH CREDIT. Like the characterization even in the news snippets is just so goddamn on point.

For example, Zacharias Smith publishing criticizing or suspicious sort of news and Parvati starting the advice column, Angelina Johnson being Senior Quidditch writer, Dennis Creevey supporting Luna…

Now in Ch 3, there is a snippet about Leo’s getting destined for a “Total romantic upheaval.” and well, Harry is a Leo... So yeah… another detail is the dating of Ch 8’s snippet… Like on 2nd December 2003, it was Tuesday.

I just wanna say that this story is a masterpiece. Every dot connects and every piece of puzzle fits seamlessly; the attention to mythological details, character behaviour, clues and mystery is just insane. I am just so happy I found this story 😁

#16 Do you re-read old fics? Is there a time in your writing you won’t go back to?

not regularly though i did just go back and re-read my first ever ao3 fic and was pleasantly surprised. it was full of run on sentences and the punctuation was terrible but the writing itself was ... okay? its nice to go back and see where i started and how far i've come. it's a good little exercise but one i wouldn't want to do very often. there is a big cringe factor and i had to physically hold myself back from editing.

oh god this is so cheesy... but friends 🙃 seriously though. fandom isn't content, it's a community and i have made so many friends through writing. like real friends that i talk to daily, friends that i have met up with on vacations, friends who have been there for me through the worst times in my life. the community of fic writers is so full of amazing people and i feel very lucky to call some of them friends.

Everything had been strained since the Ministry fell, the scrutiny they were under... the fact that Ron, Harry and Hermione had left. It was unspoken but it hung in every room like a well-kept secret.

Bill marched into the Burrow the weekend after first September. Ginny was in the living room and listened.

“Please tell me why Ginny wasn’t on the Hogwarts Express?” Bill asked firmly. “I thought we had agreed— we had a plan. We need to act as normal as possible.”

“Bill,” Mrs Weasley went firmly. “I have decided to keep Ginny at home. She is underage and I decide what happens with her. I would keep all of you at home if I had the choice.”

Ginny’s heart ached for her mother. The fact she put her whole family under much strain, the fact her mother had to lie for her, worry about her, Ron being gone. She put up a strong facade, but Ginny could see it crumbling whenever her mother thought no one was watching.

“Mum, don’t be ridiculous,” Bill spat. “You’re putting all of us at risk here. What do we have to say?”

“Dragon Pox,” she responded firmly. “Like Ron.”

Ginny stood up from the couch.

“You can’t possibly think—”

“Bill,” Ginny said.

His eyes fell on her and she shook her head. “Don’t put this on mum, she’s trying her hardest.”

Mrs Weasley looked between her oldest and her youngest. Ginny met eyes with her. They shared a look of understanding. She faced her brother, her face passive.

Yes! Actually this chapter is almost done so I hope to post it soonish. I caught the flu which really slowed things down and just a whole mess with a play I'm assistant director for so .... I'm glad I managed to write it at all. I just hope it's not absolutely non-sensical, that flu got me good (still does) 😅

Considering I can't reveal their agreement yet, I really struggled finding a sneak peek that didn't reveal that but here it is:

Ginny stepped to him and curtsied. “My king.”

His mouth ran dry. “My Princess.”

She stepped a little closer. “More cleavage. Nice, huh?” she said playfully.

He looked away from her. “Very nice, I am sure.” He shook his head, carefully meeting her eye. “Are you trying to make me look in front of your brothers?”

She took him by the arm and turned both of them away.

He looked down and then up to her eyes. She was grinning. He cleared his throat. “I swear to the Gods, you are trying to have me killed.” He shook his head and they turned back around. He could hear a little giggle escape her throat.

I have been having such an exhausting week and the chapter 8 and 9 of already gone really cheered me up but broke my heart at the same time.

Like, GINNY'S MOVING IN ??!! and THE MEMORY!! "“But I don’t remember,” she reassured quickly. “I don't know the difference.”" THIS ENTIRE CONVO!! GOD!!

By the end of it, I swear I wanted Gin to be alright again because of the sheer angst, but then again I am a sucker for it.. So, sorry Harry you will have to suffer a tiny bit more.

All in all, I am dying to read the next chapters and eagerly accepting all the crumbs you send our way. 💕

Also, those chapter 16 and chapter 18 playlists are suspicious.

(P. S. - I wrote this right before bed, while my body screamed at me to go to sleep, so I really hope it's coherent.)
