anyway dc x dp is my new fixation hell and i've had so many ideas for aus but one that's really sticking with me is a classic "danny has to run away to gotham because his home is no longer safe" au where danny is explicitly looking for other ghosts or at the very least is pulled to gotham because there are so many of them there.
he flies around for a while and finds this manor and he can sense so many nice ghosts! so he just. goes there! and stays! and this can be human danny showing up at their door injured or it can be ghost danny just flying in but regardless, the waynes would never turn him away. bruce would get suspicious absolutely, but he's seen enough traumatized abused kids to know the signs. thomas and martha? they think this new ghost kid is adorable!!
there could be angst sure but idk i love the idea of danny getting hurt by his parents or the giw and being so wary of more humans, and this place full of friendly ghosts would be so enticing. ghosts that don't try to immediately wreck his shit? ghosts that get territorial but are also extremely welcoming and have a habit of letting new kids into their haunt? the batfam who've dealt with the paranormal before and wouldn't give a shit? that's a normal tuesday for them babes. like please, danny just found heaven and it's in gotham.
despite all the "batfam adopts danny" aus i've seen, i rarely see people mention the ghosts of dead family members who would absolutely still be there and would definitely want to help danny :(

tell me about ur ocs. especially the one w the pink hair n the good fashion. please
aww im so glad ur interested!! this makes me a little giddy ngl
adding stuff below bc this ended up being longer than i thought
okok so! before i get into anything, i need to specify that (like anyone with 100+ ocs) a lot of my ocs' stories branch out differently.
The story Harper (the fashionable pink haired one) is in usually focuses on this guy
his name is Richard Chatham :] he is more or less the "protag" of this story.
He's 7 years older than Harper but they've known each other since childhood. They used to be neighbours and became friends quickly :] he's like a big brother to her.
Now--Harper herself. She's 19, uses she/her, and is a second year architecture student. She's half Sudanese from her mom's side, Japanese from her dad's, and has lived in the UK most of her life. She also has a twin brother who she fights with every 5 minutes (hi Harrison).
Personality wise, she's a very expressive person :] she isn't scared of showing her anger, sadness, excitement, etc. She also isn't scared of calling out someone's flaws in front of them (which usually doesn't end well, but that never stopped her). I think these descriptions aren't good enough though dlfkhjdoksg so I'll just send this desc I wrote for her two years ago
'She usually has a "cutesy" persona on when in public, having herself be overly friendly, although it's usually only towards those she views as potential friends or acquaintances. She's easily annoyed, too, and is pretty hot-headed, even when she tries not to be. Her anger, however, is something that leaves easily, especially when her attention focuses on an interest or, well, anything cute.'
'She always makes sure she looks her best whenever she's outside, as--to her--appearance is a big descriptor of personality. It's because of that thought process that she automatically dislikes anyone whose appearance is a disheveled mess.'
For her backstory, she lived a regular life. The biggest highlight was when she ended up in a car crash with her dad when she was five (he didn't survive #rip).
She used to be close to her dad and still owns a few of the clothes he wore. In fact, her fashion taste was inspired by him :] he was a hugeee lover of pink and cutesy stuff and wanted to let his daughter dress up in clothes he knew he'd never have the chance to wear. I think her attachment to the style could be her own way of remembering him too.
For current story. Well. I will be honest with u, I still don't know what the current story should even be (yes I've had these ocs for years yes idk what their story should be). It would probably involve her discovery of her own sexuality + acceptance of the past and focusing on the future of some sort. Also her learning to stop judging others for surface level stuff and actually forming new bonds :DD but for now though... my brain is empty
Little extra facts also:
She has a pet rabbit (named Yuki)
Cosplays as a hobby
Her favourite anime is Tokyo Mew Mew :]
Allergic to strawberries (she will forever curse her immune system for this)
Terrible at singing (she'll never accept this though)
also, have this two year old doodle of her that i still like :]

I think about Lycion and his relationship with beauty soo much
Looking at him, we can see that he easily meets the elven beauty standards. He has long silver hair, clear skin, and androgynous form: he's the picture of a youthful, pretty man.
And yet.
He experiences such a visceral reaction to his own body. Despite looking like your stereotypical pretty boy, he doesn't fulfill the expectation of being vain in the slightest (at least not in this form).
In fact, we see in the extras just how badly his body dysmorphia got to him. This was not a passive discomfort or a shallow desire. Lycion was trying to destroy his body. He hated living in his skin so much he was actively self harming in multiple ways in an effort to punish himself.
It's not until he uses ancient magic to get his beast form that his perspective of himself changes. The magic required him to be heavily tattooed over his whole body and we can clearly we can see that he wears these marks with pride. But that's not where any of this ends for him because despite having the solution to his problem, Lycion can't be a wolf all the time.
This means that he has to learn to cope with existing as an elf still, and what stands out to me is how Lycion's hair is almost always in his face. Even now, in the body he likes more, he hides. Whether this is a lingering discomfort or just a habit, there's no saying, but it makes me sad.
Especially in this panel, where it's clear that a lot of his hair had been pulled forward to cover his face rather just the few strands. His expression looks so hollow. He looks tired and uncomfortable. This isn't the casual playfulness he usually has. I think this is a peek into the idea that it's very self soothing for him to use his hair as a shield when he's forced to stay in his human body for too long.
I think that his hair is so important to him because we can see that it's the only trait that carried over into his wolf form. This means that when he's forced to be human he can cling to the single part of him that's shared between his current body and his preferred one.
In summary: I love him so much
