For the any of the Sonics (its so hard to pick one and not include all)

We all know the Tails' have had their origin of trauma moments before meeting their aligned version of Sonic aka you, but has there been any significant moments that made you think "wtf happened to this innocent child?".

Like something they said or a reaction such as mangey panicking at the sight of fire, Nine saying something depressing in a lighter atmosphere or Sails nearly crying while scolded by Captain dread for the first time? Just to give an example of what im asking.

All their little brothers have trauma and all of them hate it.

Okay, but like

As someone who personally disliked the fandom characterization of Mangey as a child who is basically a wild animal

Which of course meant that (even though this standard was not applied to other equally feral boscage maze characters) if you even dared to have ships involving Mangey it was considered "beastiality"

Season 3 was so vindicating for me. Like as someone who always characterized him as selectively mute/largely nonverbal and with less palatable autism, it was so great to see the proof in the pudding that he is just as capable of being more than just the group dog thought like any other mobian and the hilarity of him being surprisingly adept with technology. Like god those few Sails/Mangey interactions were so so good

Silly Prime Bro Headcanons

-Since they’re all foxes Tails, Sails, and Nine pick up on Mangey’s body language easier than others

-Nine and Mangey would IPad kid together

-They’d stay up all night watching stuff like Walten Files or The Mandela Catalogue and after being spooked for a day come up with the wildest theories

-Mangey prefers to walk on the ground most of the time, it’s Sails that spends most of his time climbing around in the trees, using his mechanical hand to hold onto tree branches.

-When Sails and Mangey are working on some tech Nine is always sure to keep a close eye on them. He knows both of them are careful while working, but watching them calms his nerves, especially when they’re working with live wires

-Tails is the best cook of the four, obviously. Next comes Sails, he can hold himself decently in a kitchen but only knows a few recipes, mostly seafood based. After that is Nine, and the jump in skill in the kitchen is large, all he knows how to do is microwave food. Then finally Mangey, since he mostly ate fruit all his life he never learned how to cook.

-While being good with technology Sails and Mangey don’t know how they do things. They’d be asked how they knew what to fix with a machine and they would be like “idk it just didn’t feel right.”

-Tails finds it kinda funny while Nine just wants a straight answer.

I just wonder how sails and Tails would convince the others.

Good question

I can't say they'd take it super seriously, but as long as it doesn't impede any "real work" (dependent upon the person's opinion of course), I think Sails and Tails wouldn't have too much of a problem convincing Nine and Mangey. Mangey would be the easiest I think.

As for Nine, if this turns out being an endeavor that requires work, it depends upon his mood. I can see him being in such a mood that it really takes no more than prodding or maybe some bribes (or kisses) to get him to participate, but I can also see him in such a mood that they'd have to persistently try to argue with/convince him, or trick him in such a way where he has no choice but to give in.

Really it just depends upon how much work it'll take, how early in the process of figuring out how to do this Nine and Sails try to recruit Mangey and Nine, and Nine's mood.

Ultimately though I think Tails and Sails could do it. Even Nine at his most stubborn and in his worst mood couldn't refuse for forever
