// @themostdramaticboyintown @themostcuriousgirlintown we take a brejf break form all the angst forn phillip isabella abd echo incorrect quotes <3
Phillip: Everyone thinks I'm this soft cute person but I'm not!
Echo: Phillip, you cried for an hour after stepping on a bug yesterday.
Phillip: It had feelings! It was probably going home to dinner and I killed it!
Isabella: ...It was a bug.
Phillip: It was a BEETLE, and its wife is definitely worried sick, wondering where it is, and I really don't get why you all think I'm so sentimental because I'm not!
Echo: ...
Isabella: ...
Phillip: Stop looking at me like that!
Echo: I apologize for saying 'fuck' in front of Phillip.
Isabella: You just said it again.
Phillip
Echo: I am not a role model.
Phillip: Isabella and I were crossing the street, and this man drove by and honked at us.
Echo: What did you do?
Phillip: They chased him to the next red light, and reached into his window, and-
Isabella: *walking in* Who wants a steering wheel?
Echo: Due to personal reasons, I will be fucking sinking to the bottom of the ocean in a large metal box.
Isabella: Did Phillip say 'I love you' and you said 'Thanks'?
Echo: THE REASONS ARE PERSONAL–
Echo: I think I need a hug...
Phillip: Good thing I'm hug shaped!
*45 minutes later*
Echo: You... you can let go now.
Phillip: No, I absolutely cannot.
Phillip, in a horrible German accent: Bill Nye is on break, I'm Bill Nein.
Isabella: Can I go to the bathroom?
Phillip, in the same horrible German accent: Nein!
Phillip: If I were a drink, I'd be Cherry Vanilla Coke. If you were a drink, what would you be?
Echo: Bleach.
Isabella: Sewage.
Phillip: ...Please calm down, edgelords.
Phillip: Protip is you do not feel good about yourself after eating tomato sauce on iceberg lettuce.
Echo: What's wrong with you??
Phillip: I literally JUST said I ate tomato sauce on iceberg lettuce?? Pay attention.
Isabella: No, they mean other than that.
Phillip: Ohhhhhh.
Phillip: I haven't slept in 4 days.
Phillip: Where are you going?
Isabella: To get MYSELF a gift cause somebody didn't get me one!
Phillip: I told you I did! Its coming here on Friday!
Echo, knowing full well that Phillip got Isabella an engagement ring: *eating popcorn*
Phillip: Hi, sorry I’m late. I was doing a couple of things and got distracted.
Isabella: I’m “a couple of things”.
Echo: I’m “got distracted".
Phillip: *sneaking in through their window*
Isabella: *turning in their chair and flicking the light one* You want to tell me where you've been all night?
Phillip: I was with Echo?
Echo: *turning in their chair* Wanna try again?
Phillip: Goddamn it, the printer broke while printing out Echo's birthday invitations.
Isabella: Well, what are they supposed to say?
Phillip: "Echo's birthday".
Isabella: So, what do they say instead?
Phillip: "Echo’s bi".
Isabella:
Isabella: Works out either way.
*Isabella dies in a game with ships*
Phillip: This ship is no longer a ship of love, it's a ship of vengeance, a gavel of justice against all that is wrong in the world, showing no mercy, as no mercy was shown to us.
Phillip: The spark of love will now fuel the fires of destructive glory as I wage my war across the world with righteous fury.
Echo: Legend has it that Isabella still haunts the ship, stealing my fucking drinks.
Isabella: Of course I do.
Isabella: Echo, what are you doing?
Echo: Making chocolate pudding.
Isabella: It's four in the morning, why are you making chocolate pudding?
Echo: Because I've lost control of my life.
Echo: Here's your pudding, Philip.
Philip: Oh that's okay, I'm not hungry anymore.
Philip: If I die, my funeral will be the biggest party ever and you're all invited.
Isabella: "If"
Echo: Great, the only party I'm ever invited to and they might not even die.
*Echo is casually searching around the room*
Isabella: Hey Echo, what’re you looking for?
Echo: My will to live.
*Philip walks into the room*
Echo: Oh, there it is.
Philip: It’s funny how well you and Echo get along. Didn’t they hate you at first?
Isabella: Echo hates everybody at first. It’s their way of reaching out to people.
Philip: How do you do that?
Echo: I'm fearless.
Isabella: I saw you run from bees yesterday. You flailed around and tripped over a chair. It was both hysterical and sad.
Echo: I'm mostly fearless.
Philip: There are three ways to handle a difficult situation. The right way, the wrong way, and the Echo way.
Isabella: Isn't that the wrong way?
Philip: Yes, but it's faster.
*Something crashes*
Isabella: Shoot-
Philip: *running into the room in a panic* WHAT FELL?!
Echo: *walking by the room calmly* What died?
*Isabella teaching Philip to drive and taking Echo along for the ride*
Isabella: That's a pothole. To the left!
Philip: Take it back now y'all *Drives into pothole*
Echo, sticking their face into the front over the center console: Cha Cha real smooth.
Philip: I don't think that's how the song goes.
Isabella, crying and gripping the handle: Please just take me home.
Philip: Country Roads.
Echo: To the place.
Philip and Echo in unison: I Belong!
Isabella, crying harder: What the fuck?

We haven't discussed brocade enough, lately, and this Worth gown is a great example of how mixing patterns and solids can really make a gown sing. It dates from 1883-84 and is from the MCNY Collections. The brocaded silk is from Lyon, one of the biggest silk powerhouses in all of Europe.
First, there's the color of this dress--both the solid satin and brocaded area uses the same deep blue, and that blends everything together beautifully.
Then, picking up on the orange-rust colors in the pattern, the designer choose to do a little peek-a-boo at the front of the skirt. To make things even more fancy, he also trimmed the front skirt in Van Dyke edging--that's those little triangle shapes--which was very popular during the Regency.
The draping brings the eye up to the very pinnacle of where this all begins: the hips. So even though the wearer of this dress may be well-covered, she is also a little bit daring.

Montgomery Clift, right, aged 15, as Prince Peter in Jubilee, 1935. The other boy is Jackie Kelk, playing Prince Rudolph.
The show, a musical, had a book by Moss Hart and a score by Cole Porter, and introduced the classics "Just One of Those Things" and "Begin the Beguine." It included some characters based on real people: the swimmer who becomes an actor is a spoof of Johnny Weissmuller; Noël Coward is portrayed as Eric Dare; and the party hostess Elsa Maxwell is given the name Eva Standing.
The show received rapturous reviews, with one critic calling it "one of the great theatrical events of the 1930s." But after the orchestrations were lost in transit in 1948, the show was not performed for 40 years. There have been a number of concert performances since then, but no full-scale production.

“New York - I'm connected. This is my core. I feel like if I'm not connected to New York, then I don't even know what to do with myself.”--Jay-Z
This is the 100th year of the Museum of the City of New York. Tucked away in East Harlem next to El Museo del Barrio, the museum has always housed an impressive collection of photography. For New Yorkers, especially, the museum has held a treasure-trove of our history and culture. Not always given the wider attention it deserves, the MCNY has always been a powerhouse.
Marking its inaugural photography triennial, “New York Now: Home,” the curatorial team solicited images from over a 1000 artists, and found its way down to 33 individuals whom they chose to represent “home” in all of its fluid manifestations. Some of the artists are established and known, while others are emerging. The curators Sean Corcoran and Thea Quiray Tagle have presented us with an array of representation, as diverse and innovative as the city itself.
Featuring the work of established artists such as Anders Jones, Linda Troeller, Maureen Drennan  and Jamel Shabazz , New York: Home also shows younger artists like Cheryl Mukherji  and Diana Guerra  both of whom were new discoveries. The exhibition takes us on a wide-ranging experience through New York. We see it afresh through new eyes. While “home” has infinite meanings that transcend language and location, the representations we see in this inaugural triennial of our great city are as diverse and wonderful as the people who live here. In New York: Home we feel connected. --Lane Nevares

Mod New York
Fashion Takes a Trip
Edited by Phyllis Magidson and Donald Albrecht, Foreword by Whitney W.Donhauser
Museum of the City of New York / Monacelli Press, New York 2017, 160 pages, 22,6 x 30,2 cm, ISBN  978-1580934985
euro 50,00

Mod New York traces the fashion arc of the 1960s and 1970s, a tumultuous and innovative era that continues to inspire how we dress today. During this period, demure silhouettes and pastels favored by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy exploded into bold prints and tie-dyed psychedelic chaos and ultimately resolved into a personal style dubbed by Vogue the “New Nonchalance.” Accompanying a major exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York, this book is beautifully illustrated by two hundred groundbreaking and historically significant designs by Halston, Geoffrey Beene, Rudi Gernreich, Yves Saint Laurent, André Courrèges, Norman Norell, and Bill Blass, among many others, all drawn from the renowned costume collection at MCNY. By the mid-1960s, clothing assumed communicative powers, reflecting the momentous societal changes of the day: the emergence of a counterculture, the women’s liberation movement, the rise of African-American consciousness, and the radicalism arising from the protests of the Vietnam War. New York City, as the nation’s fashion and creative capital, became the critical flashpoint for these debates. Authoritative essays by well-known fashion historians Phyllis Magidson, Hazel Clark, Sarah Gordon, and Caroline Rennolds Milbank explore the ways in which these radical movements were expressed in fashion.

An exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York celebrates the Big Apple in the most seasonal (and tastiest) medium of all: Gingerbread.
Gingerbread NYC: The Great Borough Bake-Off, up through January 16, features seven bakers’ edible replicas of New York City’s five boroughs (the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island). The bake-off and exhibition are a new initiative for the East Harlem museum, but one that will likely become a tradition, according to MCNY Chief Operating Officer Jerry Gallagher.

CHECK IF YOUR COUNTRY BUY WEAPONRY TO ISRAEL. Chances are high that your protests are been repressed with israeli weaponry and intel
Chile bought the follow:
RBH-303 Golfo helmet Extra used in the SLM FAMAE system. Accular Tralcán 122mm rocket Galil ACE 22 NC assault rifle IWI ARAD assault rifle IWI GL 40 Coupled Grenade Launcher Missil spike Ail Storm vehicle LAR-160 Multiple Rocket Launcher Soltam M71 Towing Howitzer Soltam M65 Soltam M81 Mortero M29 Elbit Skylark 1LE7 dron Elbit Skylark 1LE72 dron Elbit Hermes 900 dron IMI Galil Galatz assault rifle Galil ARM assault rifle SAR assault rifle ACE 22NC Assault rifle RAFAEL Derby RAFAEL Python FASat-Delta, FASat-Echo, and FASat-Foxtrot (satellite made in colab with usa, israel, and chile)
The suppliers/manufacturers are:
Nekulpan (Integrated light artillery system consisting of 70mm rocket launchers, platform, vehicle, software and UAV dron for target designation.)
Elbit Systems (It is one of the world's largest manufacturers of offensive electronic products. Established in 1966 and based in Haifa, Palestine, Elbit has more than 11,000 employees worldwide.)
Chile also had a mossad agent (Rodrigo Hinzpeter) hired as Piñera's right hand man and Israeli and US intelligence as well as training and tactics were given to Chile's police and military, implemented to maim (shooting to left people blind and lose the eyeballs was the more used tactic.), torture, murder and disappear protesters, ordinary people and militant political opponents during the assassinations and state crimes in Chile in 2019 onwards when Piñera declared war on his own citizens. There is more shit, but I can't find it. They also bought more weaponry to other countries that support israel and/or are making other genocides, like France, Germany, Switzerland, etc.
Words are meaningless if you give money and power to israel. Every single weapon and system has been used against Palestine, and other Global South countries.
