Claras's toy box scene gets another layer when you remember that Iruma had a horrible childhood. And for a moment he was able to enjoy the benefits of being a normal child, playing and running free, but also receiving unconditional love and affection. Feeling safe and protected are things he didn't get from his parents.

Clara, who is an expert in making people have fun and feel happy, is a blessing for him. She always takes care of him and Azz too, as she learned by taking care of her little siblings and by the love her mother shows her and them. That's the kind of love she knows, the love she grew up with and the love she passes on.

Seeing Lyndi and Iluminati in episode 10, and knowing that is a foreshadow of the evidol games arc, It makes me wonder how different that arc would have been if Clara and Azz had been the ones chosen instead of Amelie and Lied.

Kerori choosing Iruma and Lied makes sense after she practically made them audition for her, unlike Clara and Azz who were seen from afar and she was sick. (She only could notice Iruma in that moment and he was the one who shined tbh).

But Nishi going with Lied and Amelie instead of made another love trio adventure, I think it shows how much she thought about this arc, and how she wanted it to be. She already had made Leid and Amelie share more with Iruma, spending time together and deepen their bond. So taking an opportunity to make these characters shine along with new ones was pretty clever.

I'm not saying the arc would have been better or worse with Clara and Azz in their place. I just saying it would have been different, and it shows how good in storytelling Nishi is for connecting those sub-plots and having those side characters get the spotlight w the MC.

Also, what she made with Clara and Azz in that arc was another great thing. Having them bonding w/o Iruma was cute, especially when you think that Clara could have stay in her house watching the games w her family just as fine, but instead she went to Azz's house so they could cheer on Iruma together, bc she knew he wanted to do it as much as she did. He would understand the love and admiration she has for Iruma, they have that in common. And It was already hinted in the music festival.

So I think the evidol games arc was prepared with a lot care and consideration.

Always intrigued by the uncanny resemblance that Iruma's parents have to Clara and Azz's hairstyles.

It could be a contrast between how horrible Iruma's life was with his parents and how now he found the love and care he needed from them in Azz and Clara. But when I think that the love trio could fall into the category of family love (without denying other types of attraction between them), parental love is not something that comes to mind, they could be more like siblings (especially how Clara sometimes acts like a big sister). But I guess I say this bc of the ages, I mean, even a sibling could be a parent if there isn't a good one around. But Iruma does have Opera and Sullivan so...

There's also the theory that Iruma's memories of his parents are not real. They were implanted because he was a reincarnation of Delkira. He never had parents so we never really see their faces, but they do resemble Clara and Azz because Iruma sees them as two people looking our for him. That he wish for these parents of him to be more like Azz and Clara.

Of course, this theory wouldn't make sense because Iruma's parents exist in his memories before he met Azz and Clara. This is not some AOTish shit where Iruma can communicate his mind we different version of him through time, and future Iruma's memories are tangled with past-present Iruma's memories. I don't think mairuma it's that complicate.

I don't really have another theory that is not what I said at the beginning. Clara and Azz are part of Iruma's new family in the netherworld, just like Opera and Sullivan. Iruma goes from spending a horrible time with these two adults that are his parents, to live a great life with these two kids that are his best friends.

Can your parents become your friends?

If your ever watch The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, the protagonist created (imagined) two younger characters, a boy (sharkboy) and a girl (lavagirl) that are his friends and care for him, meanwhile his real parents were not very attentive to him and were having a rough time in their marriage (adult stuff). The two teens were created as the opposite of each other, water and fire, contrasting personalities, who argued many times, but were still destined to be together (to be a team). This was how the protagonist saw his parents, as a couple with many differences that despite that they loved each other and they loved and took care of him.
