hey! i actually was not aware, and i did actually try finding evidence to support this, but i could not. perhaps i didn’t dig deep enough and if there is truth to this statement, i truly and deeply apologise.

i try not to bring in politics to my tumblr account solely because i use this as an escape from my reality. there’s not an answer i can say that would satisfy everyone who reads this and i hope you can understand my explanation (even if it is a little shitty).

i picked milo to be rocky’s boyfriend for convenience, first and foremost. he has a lot of content and personality available on the internet and it makes it all the easier to write him in. and solely for the fact that i think he seems to complement who i write rocky to be.

i, in no way shape or form, support milo as an individual even prior to using him as a character in my fanfiction. i hadn’t even known of him until sabrina’s feather mv, if you were to ask. and unfortunately, i will be continuing to use him as a character and i hope you can understand that from my perspective.

i also hope you can understand that continually using milo as a character does not represent what i stand for. i don’t support israel and their actions at all. i really hope you guys can understand me and continue liking the stuff i put out because i truly do enjoy writing generally, even if it’s not fanfiction of a specific person.

Dancing With the Stars' reigning mirrorball champion, Bobby Bones, is speaking out ahead of the upcoming all-new season.

The radio host, who won season 27 with pro partner Sharna Burgess, exclusively spoke with ET on Tuesday, where he discussed everything from the new cast lineup to format tweaks and more.

"I have all these little injuries from this show that I don't think people realize. I had a broken foot, torn shoulder, but at this point, I'm finally healed up," he shared when asked how he's been doing since dance rehearsals wrapped. "It took a whole year, but it was worth it!"

Bones confirmed to ET that he'll back in the ballroom next Monday for the two-hour season 28 premiere. While he's pumped about the competition, he admitted that he was just as surprised as fans to learn that Burgess (along with fellow fan-favorite Artem Chigvintsev) were cut as pros this season. He said he spoke with his former partner a few days before the cast reveal on Good Morning America last month.

"As a dancer, you kind of report and meet your partner [beforehand]," Bones shared. "So I hit her up three or four days before and said, 'Hey, who's your partner?' and she said, 'I don't know.' The next day she hit me up and was like, 'I don't have a partner. They didn't ask me to come back.' I was shocked, she was shocked. It was really close to the show and then we saw Artem didn't get asked back as well."

"I think all of us were a little stunned by it," he continued. "Now why [she was cut], I don't really know. I don't even know if they've told her. She had been there the longest and was one of the more popular ones, so it could have been a budget thing. I'm not really quite sure how that happened but everyone was shocked by it."

In case you missed it, Bones received some backlash from longtime fans of the show last season for going rogue on the choreography and winning the season over stars like Milo Manheim and Alexis Ren, who consistently received higher scores from the judges each week.

While Bones doesn't believe last season's controversies had anything to do with Burgess being cut, he thinks they probably opened the door for the new format tweaks ABC has planned.

"Well, I'm going back next week and Artem didn't get cut because of any backlash, so it really had nothing to do with that," Bones said. "I actually called and asked them. Like, 'Hey!' But actually, they were able to use our win to get celebrities this season. If anything, the network, to me, was like, 'We're really happy you won because we were able to reach out to people who would have never come on the show because they couldn't dance. And we were able to go, 'Hey, here's a guy who couldn't dance and won.'"

"I'm happy that we broke the system," he added of the format changes. "So, I think it's great. It's been on for 27 seasons, so it's cool to actually move around. And I love the team there, so I'm pumped!"

With the new 28th season ahead, Bones said it's also time for people to stop hating and let any backlash go.

"I have a humongous mirrorball in my living room that I look at and kiss every night before I go to bed. If anything, I think me winning last year showed a lot of people and celebrities that you don't have to be a great dancer to win. You have to learn how to dance, but you also have to be great at engaging with the audience," he said. "The backlash we still get is only from the people who are way too obsessed with that show. The hardcore Dancing With the Stars people, they need to get over it. Everybody else, all my people and the silent majority, we're in it together. We rock! They all need to shut up."

Although Bones isn't exactly ready to give up his "reigning mirrorball champion" title just yet, he told us he'll be rooting for his country music pal (and former American Idol alum), Lauren Alaina.

"I have the mirrorball, they can't take the actual mirrorball," he joked. "And who knows, I may come back. They haven't said who the mystery dancer is yet."

"As much as we kid around about the backlash and all of that, I love that show and I love the people, so I said, 'Lauren, you have to do it. It's awesome, and the fans are so passionate about it,'" he continued. "I stayed on her for a good two months and she agreed to do it. I've spoken to her almost every day at this point. Lauren's an athlete, so she won't go on with the most dance experience, but she has a great personality. People watching the show will love her, and she'll end up being a pretty good dancer, for sure."

Bones is especially excited for fans to get to know Alaina on a deeper, more personal level as she kicks off her DWTS journey. That typically happens during "Most Memorable Year" week, in which the stars are challenged to tell an impactful story that had a massive impact on their life through dance.

"I know she won't share the American Idol stuff. I mean, not that she doesn't want to, but I know what she's probably going to share, so I'm not going to speak on that because I'm going to let her have that moment," he teased. "But she had some tough times, as of recent, and I think that she's a really strong person and has really come through a lot. And if I know Lauren, she's going to put it all out there."

When the competition officially kicks off, Bones said he'll, of course, be rooting for Alaina, but will also be cheering on a few other dancers.

"I'm Team Lauren, 100%. But Kate Flannery sent me a message because I'm such a fan of The Office," he revealed. "It's my favorite show, so when Meredith sends you a message on Instagram, you're like, 'Holy crap, this is crazy!'"

"I know Hannah [Brown], too," he added. "I've been talking to Hannah a little bit about Dancing With the Stars as well, so there a few of them on there that I've talked to about it. Most of the advice I've given them is, not dance tips, but more like, 'Here's how you're going to feel and how it's going to affect you, and just know that you're not alone.'"

Aside from his continued support for DWTS, Bones is currently gearing up for the new season of American Idol, in which he'll return as an in-house mentor alongside judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Bones has also been enjoying plenty of one-on-one time with his new pup, Stanley, whom he recently adopted and named after another character from The Office.

"I'm a single dog dad, and it's been great! One of my friends was like, 'We have a dog, and nobody wants him. He's a little out of control so people have been hesitant to take him,'" Bones explained. "He asked if I wanted him and sent me a picture of him. I said, 'He looks like Stanley [Leslie David Baker] from The Office, so I'll take him.'"

"My other dog was 16 when he passed away, so I forgot just how demanding a puppy is," he continued. "They have to pee all the time, and if you're not there when they have to pee, they pee anyway. But he's been good. We've finally broken up from chewing on everything. And all the Instagram likes has been a surprise. I don't hate that!"

For September's National Service Dog Awareness Month, Bones has teamed up with Purina Dog Chow for the "Service Dog Salute" campaign, a new partnership in which he assists American military veterans.

"I've been working with veterans on a wide range of things because that cause is so important to me. Even with the [Bobby Bones radio] show, we've been helping veterans get service dogs for the past three or four years," he shared. "What's wild is that they're quite expensive, around $20,000 apiece. That's a really heavy price to pay to help someone who has been a hero. So we got involved with Purina Dog Chow and it's the second year of this campaign. It was just a natural integration for something they do so well at and something that I'm really passionate about as well."

Bones is raising awareness in a number of ways, starting by informing his fans of the various reasons why veterans seek out service dogs.

"If you're a veteran and you see this program, or you know a veteran in your life, I found that a lot of people have questions about service dogs that have served and came back," Bones shared. "If you don't know what one really does or how they can get one, you can go to dogchow.com/service and that has plenty of information on the broader sense of things."

"Being a veteran, especially with post-traumatic stress disorder, is really difficult, to come home and try to reintegrate into this life that's so alien," veteran David Fuller added. "You go from this intensity, violence and then you're supposed to go to the store and buy groceries and try to be a normal person, and it just doesn't really work well. Having the service dog is sort of like a prosthetic. I didn't get my legs blown off in the military but a part of me was damaged in the same way inside my mind. Almost to the soul level. What my dog, Katie, does, she's the prosthetic for me in those areas so that I can be a good dad, I can go to the movies and to their sporting events and I can be present there without having a panic attack."

DWTS S27 Week ONE!!! Nights 1+2 review

Man, when I saw Tom I suddenly felt like it had been AGES since I watched this show, then I realised, I didn’t even watch the athlete season. My friends told me it’s not worth it so I will probably never watch it.

Idk how the two-night thing is gonna work out so this is a combined post.

Night 1

Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber - Cha cha okay, was that video package kinda short? Also maybe it’s cos I’m not American but I’m soooo over all the “yay USA” themed dances. Anyhows, Mary Lou is a former US gymnast who won gold in 1984, the first US woman to do so. No mention of her current embroilment in the USAgym-gate. Okay, she can definitely remember steps. She needs to work on timing and also getting those latin shapes. 6-7-6 T19 huh that’s kinda harsh?? Might have been 1-2 pts higher if she went later I think.

Milo Manheim and Witney Carson - Cha cha Sorry Milo, but Zombies aiiiin’t that great. In case anyone doesn’t know, Zombies is a cheesy af DCOM musical. I really like his energy though. “Tell me about yourself.” “I’m still in school.” I love that. It’s quite refreshing cos we don’t get young male contestants as often as the girls. Whoa, he has those hips! I don’t think his limbs were as messy as the judges made it sound. His legs looked a little awkward during the cha-cha walks. That aside, this dance was so fun to watch! 7-6-7 T20 “That’s good, that’s good!” Witney tells him. Again, I think he could get a tad higher scores if he went later.

Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe - Foxtrot OMG Keo’s reaction was priceless. Evanna probably needs no introduction, but anyway, Luna Lovegood. She wanted to go to dance college, but was rejected so DWTS was the next best thing. I think the song did them in, but I found some of her movements too sharp for a foxtrot. She has nice frame and did something weird with her hand once. Definitely has potential. 7-5-6 T18 oooooh Len that was harsh. Tom, the correct term is he who shall not be named.

Speaking of, I like the new green glitter score background.

Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev - Foxtrot Danelle is a blind alpine skier but gosh she has good footwork and lots of grace. Her shoulders came up a bit and I think she had to adjust her footing going into the spin. When I saw the opening, I was like “Artem is making her walk down the steps to him??!!” At least they went down together. I think her and Artem will be a very nice, friendly, genuine partnership. 6-6-6 T18

Side note: I really didn’t need to hear “Rise Up” again.

Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess - Jive Bobby is...a lot of things. I’ll say entertainer. His main schtick right now is his country radio show. Guy has boundless energy, I’ll give him that. Jive suits him. He had to point his feet, and the footwork was real rough. If he was judged for enthusiasm though, he’d get a perfect score. 7-6-7 T20 yeah that’s too high. I think the judges got a little high off his energy. I think he should be sitting at a 16-17.

Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke - Salsa Juan Pablo is an actor most recently from Fuller House and Mamma Mia. Uh huh, here’s the sexy hot couple of the season right here. It took really long to get into actual salsa though. Some of the moves looked unpolished and uncertain, but he had a sense of timing and can move. his. hips. 7-7-8 T22 haha we all knew Bruno would like it.

Ayyyy hey Rashad! Apparently he’s going into hosting, showing us the DWTS BTS web series. Go support that guy, he’s an all-round all-star.

Nikki Glaser and Gleb Savchenko - Salsa Nikki is a comedian and entertainer. She told Gleb he looks like he should be emerging from a pool, which I’m pretty sure he has done before for some modelling thing. Apparently she got injured over the weekend. Could have affected the performance. She seemed fine in rehearsal but looked really ginger and reserved while dancing. Her limbs looked awkward. Arms were kept really close to her body and her legs...I don’t know any other way to describe it except “baby giraffe”. 6-5-6 T17

Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten - Jive Alexis is an instagram influencer and model. She’s doing the show for her late mother who enjoyed it. Okay I’ll say it here, she is the one to beat technique-wise. My only complain is she could be more bouncy. Everything else was spot on IMO. I think her possible downfall would be her sketchy voting base. Lots of insta followers doesn’t necessarily mean they will vote. We’ve seen that with past social media stars. 7-7-7 T21 I think she should be equal with Juan Pablo honestly.

John Schneider and Emma Slater I’ve never heard of his Dukes of Hazard show but his name sounds familiar. He’s done so many things, I’ve probably seen him somewhere. Well he certainly has the right attitude. His dancing was...here and there. Some times I was like ‘oh, that’s not bad’ and then i’d be like ‘okay that needs improvement’. I think he’s good enough and charming enough to appeal to the DWTS demo though. 7-5-6 T18

Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong - Jive Tinashe is a singer...who I’ve never heard of. But I live under a rock. Brandon is newly promoted and awwww he’s so adorable. He gave her lots of content which she handled fairly well. She was very clean but I feel like it was toooo clean. Like you know how if you strip water of too many minerals it’ll just burn your tongue. I feel like sometimes I was watching a stick figure dance. Could have used more bounce. CAI’s comment didn’t make sense. 8-7-8 T23

Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy - Quickstep Nancy was an actor from a show called The Facts of Life which probably pre-dates me. She has the facial expressions!!! Quickstep on week 1 is no joke but she kept up for most of it. Yup she was wobbly at times, because she was lacking the contact in hold with Val, but that seems to be a Thing TM with all his partners so it’s more Val’s fault. For a while I was like “omg is Val choreographing a solid routine with moves in hold??” and then they broke hold. I’m surprised Len didn’t call that out. Nancy was reall animated in that section though. 6-6-6 T18

Joe Amabile/”Grocery Store Joe” and Jenna Johnson - Quickstep Joe is from the Bachelor franchise and got his nickname because he owns a grocery store. He wants to become Dancing Joe now. He’s kinda cute, sorta charming in a slightly-awkward-little-self-depreciative way. Very likeable guy. I think with his personality and the bachelor backing, he’ll stick around for a while. Yeah that definitely wasn’t the best dance. He was flat footed, made mistakes, getting QS definitely didn’t help either. Can see he is trying to stay positive. 5-4-5 T14

Demarcus Ware and Lindsey Arnold Soon to be NFL hall of fame inductee. Has won the Super Bowl. You know, I hate American football as a sport, but these NFL guys always come in and work hard and it pays off. Demarcus can move and seems to have hella groove, with personality to boot. He’ll have to clean up some lines, but I can see him growing a lot on this show. Such a delight! 8-7-8 T23

Night 2

Ohhhhhh I love that opening number!! I can see why it’s not a premiere opener but wowwwww.

Okay so apparently the bottom half after judges score and votes from night 1 will have to dance again. Everyone else would have rehearsed a second dance for nothing...I guess. I feel like maybe they should have let everyone dance their second dance, but only score those in jeopardy.

Rashad out there with a message for Demarcus. I was kinda waiting for that the first night.

Safe - Demarcus, Tinashe, and...JOE!!!!!! That was the chillest reaction to a (not so) surprise safe.

Jeopardy - Nancy

DWTS Jr pros dance and make me feel old. Jake Monreal!!! And okay, JT Church has some ballroom moves. There’s one brunette guy (not Sage) who has nice hair. And the blond boy looks a little familiar but I can’t put my finger on it.

Okay. I watched the two episodes back to back. People I forgot about by the time I started night 2: Mary Lou, John, Danelle, Nancy. Also I knew Tinashe, Evanna and Juan Pablo were there but I kinda forgot how their dances looked.

They introduced the Junior stars. I’m having a hard time remembering who is who but: - JT’s “OH MY GOSH” when his pro-skateboarding partner did a trick - Mackenzie Ziegler is not a “pop star” she’s as good as a pro dancer. WHO’S BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO MAKE HER A CONTESTANT???!?!?

Can they intro the Jr pros too? All the cast of Juniors including the adult pros do a dance number and all I get from it is that red latin shoes are not in style.

Okay so we don’t have time for 6 dances or something so John is safe and won’t have to dance for his life any more.

Couples will dance the same style as night 1, but the choreo and song will be different.

Mary Lou and Sasha - cha cha okay I dunno what their rehearsal strategy was, but this dance felt very basic and less rehearsed than their first. She was more precise and controlled, but seemed to have less energy in it. 7-7-7 T21

Danelle and Artem - foxtrot the rehearsal vids seem to imply the couples were only given Monday night to come up with their second numbers. If so it must have disadvantaged Danelle. She was more timid and reserved. 6-6-6 T18

Nikki and Gleb - salsa She looked more confident this time. Legs less giraffe-y. Her arms were still awkward. 6-6-6 T18

Alexis and Alan - jive Ooooohhh this was good. Her technique was good again, but I think the mood of this dance suited her far better. I think she had a lot more energy and personality in this performance. 7-8-8 T23 Len says it is the best dance of the night and I agree as does Bruno.

Nancy and Val - quickstep Oh dang, the shorter dress exposed Nancy’s shortcomings. Her lines were wonky and she still looked a little unstable sometimes in hold, which was easier to see in this costume. It also made her look like Tweety Bird tumbled dry, They stayed in hold this time though. 7-7-7 T21 that seems generous.

Okay so Mackenzie Ziegler sings. She has a decent voice. Gotta set herself apart from her sister I guess.

Online voting for night 2 was open for...10 minutes? And I wager only US east coasters could vote.

Safe - Danelle, Alexis (yay!), Mary Lou

Nikki vs Nancy...Eliminated: Nikki. no surprise.

My favourites are Milo and Alexis. Also rooting for Danelle on a slightly lower tier. Surprisingly, Evanna isn’t really on the forefront of my mind.

Also, whether or not the couple danced on the second night might affect their memorability. Like, Bobby make an impact night 1, but after night 2 I kinda forgot about him. The only person who didn’t perform night 2 who I remember is Milo. Everyone else I was like “oh wait, who’s here again?”

Couples take a bite out of Big Apple on 'Dancing With the Stars' New York City Night

LOS ANGELES --

In a tribute to the city that never sleeps, New York City Night came to life in the ballroom on "Dancing With the Stars."

The couples performed to iconic songs relating to the Big Apple. They just danced for scores and audience votes; no one is being eliminated in this round.

Here's a recap of the judges scores, from highest to lowest:

Juan Pablo Di Pace- 26 out of 30 Pro dancer and mirror ball winner Cheryl Burke had to be a task master this week with J.P. Week one, he had a Latin dance and the Salsa came pretty darn naturally to him. But with a "42nd Street" inspired Quickstep this week, learning true ballroom form was a whole other ballgame. Head judge Len Goodman did tell J.P. to continue working on his frame but the routine had a joyful energy. Carrie Ann Inaba agreed and called the dance charming and old school (in a good way).

Milo Manheim- 26 out of 30 Oh to be 17! Milo has so much energy and personality that he lights up the room. He was over the moon that he made it through to week two. Witney Carson's challenge was to harness that energy and focus Milo on learning the Charleston. Mission accomplished! Bruno Tonioli thought the routine was bright and bursting with excitement. Len also said it was a well-done dance, with loads of energy from both.

Tinashe- 26 out of 30 Like Milo, Tinashe was thrilled with the reaction she received after week one. Brandon Armstrong had to choreograph an Argentine Tango for her this week and he went all out in the lifts and tricks department. Things got a little shaky during rehearsal but they polished the dance by Monday night's performance. All the judges agreed the lifts were spectacular. But Len and Carrie Ann disagreed on the amount of pure Argentine Tango in the routine: Len wanted more, Carrie Ann thought it was "the bomb."

Alexis Ren- 25 out of 30 The famous New York City ballet served as inspiration for Alexis' Argentine Tango. Alan Bersten choreographed a routine to "Swan Lake." It took Alexis back to when she was a little girl, taking ballet classes like millions of other girls did. Bruno and Len both liked the way Alan was able to blend the styles into one cohesive dance. Carrie Ann said the lifts and a minor wardrobe malfunction weren't so great (nothing salacious, just a tutu with a mind of its own), but everything else was fine.

Evanna Lynch- 24 out of 30 Evanna was very disappointed in the "5" she got from Len in week one. She and Keo Motsepe took it as a challenge to please Len this week. Keo also prodded her to bring the fun Evanna he's gotten to know in rehearsals onto the dance floor during their "fashion week" inspired Samba performance. It worked! They got 8's across the board, with Len saying she used a little Harry Potter magic this week. Carrie Ann called Evanna fierce and powerful. And Bruno told her he saw a little devil inside of her...and he liked it.

DeMarcus Ware- 24 out of 30 The NFL great wanted to show he was not a one-hit wonder after last week's high score. He wanted to prove to America that the big guy has some big moves! And I'm sure we'll be hearing this over and over again this season... he called himself a "big chocolate piece of steel." Lindsay Arnold choreographed a fun and flowing Foxtrot. Len praised Ware's footwork, and it is just week two! Bruno said it looks like DeMarcus has been dancing all of his life. Carrie Ann thought the dance had style, sass and sophistication.

John Schneider- 23 out of 30 Although people think he's a Southerner because of his "Dukes of Hazzard" days, John was actually born in New York and wanted to make his home state proud. Emma Slater choreographed a Broadway inspired Charleston routine. John's game, and has performed on Broadway, but said he only had to sing, not dance. Bruno thought it looked like a mini-musical and he was ready to buy a ticket! Carrie Ann said the dance was polished and offered great showmanship. And Len called John "most improved."

Mary Lou Retton- 22 out of 30 Her song is "Natural Woman" from the Broadway musical "Beautiful" and Mary Lou felt immediately connected to it. She interprets the song as being about not feeling "good enough," and reveals she's always struggled with that. Sasha Farber's routine, plus the song, has Mary Lou saying she actually felt pretty. Carrie Ann told Mary Lou she is trusting herself more and that's a good thing. She also told the Olympian that she filled the space on the dance floor and opened her heart.

Nancy McKeon- 21 out of 30 Both Nancy and Val Chmerkovskiy are New Yorkers and love paying tribute to their city. They run into a bit of a roadblock during rehearsals, however, as Nancy's foot has been hurting and she has been dancing through the pain. But it just hurts too much so she heads to the doctor and yes, she has a small fracture! She can still dance, but it's taped up pretty good. Len thought she looked more relaxed and confident this week. Bruno praised Nancy's good attitude and self-assurance.

Bobby Bones- 20 out of 30 Sharna Burgess told Bobby he'd have to reign in that exuberance he showed during week one. Their Foxtrot needed to be much more controlled and elegant. She told him to channel Frank Sinatra. You can tell Bobby had the time of his life and while he did listen to his coach and showed more control, he couldn't help it at the end of the routine and he ad-libbed a little "flossing" dance move. Carrie Ann called Bobby authentically joyous. Bruno said he was brilliantly bonkers. And Len said while the dance wasn't elegant, it had a youthful exuberance.

Danelle Emstead- 18 out of 30 The Paralympian's head spun with all that's been thrown at her. To help calm her down a little, Artem Chigvintsev added Danelle's cane to the choreography. Just that little tweak helped her embrace learning the Cha-Cha and she was happy. Well, except for the fact that they were both sick with something! Bruno gave her nothing but respect and praised her for recovering after a minor error. Carrie Ann loved her confidence.

Joe Amabile- 17 out of 30 Joe admited his nerves got the best of him last week, and he's happy for a second chance. He called this Foxtrot his redemption dance. His girlfriend from the Bachelor Nation, Kendall, came to rehearsal to grab a video of Joe learning the dance with Jenna Johnson. They practiced at home together. Kendall said the first week was rough but she can see there is a dancer inside him. Joe simply wanted to prove that he deserves to be here. Carrie Ann said she saw a big transformation, week to week. Len called Joe a caterpillar who is turning into a butterfly.

Our theme heads west for night two of "Dancing with the Stars" this week. On Tuesday, it's all about Las Vegas! At the end of that round of the competition, another couple will be sent home.
