Ditched and Hitched
by Red_Knight7525
[Timari idea with a side of Batfam salt, only a tiny bit] Tim leaves Gotham and the Batfam after a bad/dumb argument. No matter where they look Tim has covered his tracks and doesnt want to be found. They never give up hope of finding him though, at least to apologize. Years later they are in Paris looking into the famous MDC for outfits for an upcoming event (she couldn't go to Gotham due to recent 'health' issues) and stopped at a barkery on their way. They just weren't expecting to find Tim behind the counter kneeding dough with his celebrating in-laws, gorgeous three month pregnant wife and his three year old daughter giggling as she sprinkled flour on him.

The Love We Give To You
Mominette Month 2021
Day 02: Signs of Affection
Masterlist
Author's Note: Hey everyone! Day 2 was a lot of fun to write! I hope you guys enjoy it! Also, to make sure that no one is confused, I wanted to let you all know that this is not a continuation of Day 1.
It has been three months since Marinette married Bruce and became a part of the Wayne family. Bruce's and Marinette's had a great relationship. Bruce showed affection through cuddles and kisses. Not that he would ever admit to doing it. Alfred and Marinette had bonded over their love of baking, cooking, and mother-henning the children. They showed their affection when they offered to help each other. Whether it be with work in the kitchen or little hobbies. All of the children loved Marinette and showed their affection for her in various ways.
Dick loved hugs. The moment he spotted Mari in the room, he would bound over to her, a smile on his face, and squeeze the life out of her. She would always let out one of her tinkling laughs in response before returning the enthusiastic hug.
Tim liked to give her hugs and kiss her cheek in greeting. But for him, it was more his actions than anything. He would get her a cup of coffee and then babble to her about really anything. In turn, Marinette would patiently listen, adding her input when necessary.
For Jason, he didn't appreciate physical affection as much as his other siblings, but he still would allow some of it, but only ever from Mari. Jason would show his appreciation for Mari every time he helped her out with whatever she was doing. He would sometimes talk about he was feeling also. But his favorite part would be when Mari would indulge in his thrill-seeking activities with him. He loved that she didn't try to change anything about him, and he always did the same for her. He even tried to make a leather jacket with her help.
Cass liked connecting with people on a soulful level. So she would usually sit by Mari when she was designing something and meditate or even only watch her work. They would also meditate together at times. Due to Cass being born into the League of Shadows, she found a lot of physical affection to be strange. But she sometimes did hug Mari.
Stephanie was as enthusiastic with her affection as Dick was. She would bounce over and hug Mari every time she entered the room. She would also constantly cling to Mari and would urge her to make waffles with her.
All of Mari's new children showed her different signs of affection except for Damian. She didn't think that Damian should be as blatant with his love for her, but she wanted even the slightest bit of confirmation that he loved her.
A Week Later
Damian flopped down onto his bed in misery. He had just witnessed another hug session between Dick and Mari. Damian wanted that same love, but he was confused about what to do. He felt like he was betraying his birth mother by trying to show Mari love, even if Talia wasn't the best mother ever. Besides, why would Mari even want a former assassin child as her kid? She's probably happy with the rest of them. At least they were somewhat ordinary. Even Cass, the only other one that had only ever been an assassin, was a lot more passive than him.
He continued to mope about his problems before he suddenly had an epiphany! What if he tested her? He needed to make sure that she was worth loving. And so, the next day, when everyone but Marinette, Alfred, and himself was out of the house, he went to the Batcave. He then started sparring against some dummies. He was hoping that Mari would attempt to bond with him and offer to spar with him. And sure enough, after a few minutes of sparring on his own, a melodic voice behind him called, "Damian? Why are you sparring on your own?"
Damian, in turn, replied, "I had nothing better to do. Would you like to join me? I could teach you."
He watched as her face lit up with unspoken happiness before she stepped onto the mat. They both positioned themselves into a starting position for the spar. He then counted them down, "Three, two, one, go!"
He had barely uttered the words before Mari ducked down low, whipped her leg out, and swung it towards him, hooking the back of his ankle with her foot. The action resulted in him falling to the floor. He quickly jumped up and kicked her leg from behind, causing her to hit the ground. Before he could tackle her, she rolled on the ground and jumped up, punching him as she went. He quickly recovered from the hit and followed with his own, which she caught and flipped him over, putting him back on the floor once more. Before he even got the chance to try and get up, she clambered over him, putting him into an armbar hold. And with that, Mari had officially won the spar.
Damian stared at her in awe as she climbed off him, beaming in excitement. Mistaking his silence and awe for embarrassment and hostility, Marinette frantically tried to make him feel better, "I am so sorry, Damian! I didn't mean to be so aggressive! I know that you wanted to teach me, but I already knew how to fight! But I thought that I would pretend that I didn't! But you were giving me a challenge, and I accidentally started treating it as a real fight! You are an amazing fighter! I am so, so sorry–"
Before she could continue with her spiel, Damian interrupted her with a whisper, "You're awesome." Realizing what he said, he ducked his head, attempting to hide the blush that had made its way onto his cheeks. He quickly gave Mari a tight-lipped smile before running to his room, ignoring Alfred's questioning gaze. He had to think. Right now!
He quickly slammed the door and leaned his head against it. Okay. Things that he had learned today. Number one, Mari knew how to fight. Number two, She knew how to fight very well. Number three, Marinette was awesome. Number four, she was much better than his mother could ever hope to be. And number five, he wanted Mari to be his mom! And he knew how to do it.
Two Weeks Later
It had been two weeks since the spar between Mari and Damian, and much had changed since then. And everyone in the family knew it. But no one, except for Marinette and Damian, knew why.
The first thing that changed was Damian's attitude towards Marinette. Before, he would try his best to never be in the presence of his stepmother. But now, he didn't mind. Everyone could tell that he would try to delay his time spent with her. Not many people would realize it, but the Wayne family wasn't just everybody.
What changed next was how he responded to her words. Before, he would roll his eyes, ignore her, or huff. But now, he would still grumble, but it was always half-heartedly. And one time, they caught him smiling at Mari. The dramatic gasp that Dick let out didn't help anyone in figuring out what was going on.
Then he started doing little things, like pecking her cheek before he left for school. He would smile at her, give her a tiny compliment, paint while she designed. They were such small actions, but every time Damian did them, Marinette's heart swelled with happiness. She was in disbelief that Damian was showing his love for her! Yes, he wasn't as blatant about it as his siblings, but he still did it, and that made her all the happier.
But the day that things finally changed completely was when Damian Al-Ghul Wayne walked up to Marinette Dupain-Cheng and cuddled her. It was an ordinary Saturday. Everyone was up early except for Damian. But then Damian came in yawning and looked around. He saw Mari sitting on the couch stitching something. Damian trudged over to her and sat down next to her. He put his legs up on the couch and buried his face into her chest. Marinette smiled gently at his actions and put down her sewing things before putting her arms around him. She then started stroking his hair, and as if he was part cat, he preened at the attention and pressed his head to her hand in want of more strokes. Damian then mumbled, almost incoherently, "I love you, Ummi. You're amazing."
Marinette stopped stroking his hair in shock, and Damian looked to her worriedly, thinking that she was mad with his declaration. But instead, her face broke into a huge smile, and she hugged him tightly, breathing out, "I love you too, Dami."
All while this was happening, the rest of the Wayne family looked at the pair in awe. Finally, Jason spoke, breaking everyone out of their stares, "When did this happen?! And what did happen?!"
Damian looked over at Jason with a scowl and said, "I found out two weeks ago that Ummi is amazing. She beat me in a spar. Now, she's my Ummi, and none of you imbeciles can take her away from me!"
Everyone except the pair continued to be bewildered over the situation. That was when Dick spoke up, "Ummi?"
Damian looked ready to murderer them for not allowing him to cuddle with his Ummi, but all the same, he replied, "I heard a lot of children call their mothers 'Ummi' in the league, or at least in private. But Mother never permitted me to do the same, alone or in public. She said that I was the heir of the league and should, therefore, be as nonsensical as possible. But now that I have Mari, I finally have someone to call Ummi."
By the end of his speech, Marinette looked to be close to tears, and everyone else was looking at him in surprise. Marinette started clinging onto him, whispering, "I love you so much, mon cheri. I'll always be there for you."
Damian blinked back tears and clung back, saying, "I know you will. I am your favorite anyways." When Damian saw his siblings realize what he said, he jumped off his Ummi's lap and ran out of the room. Behind him, a herd of footsteps was heard, along with shouting from each of the children (except Cass). Each of them trying to convince him as to why he was wrong and why they were the favorite.
Back in the living room, Alfred had left to give Marinette and Bruce some alone time. Marinette beckoned Bruce over to sit beside her. She pecked his mouth before seeing the adoring stare. She raised an eyebrow and asked, "And what is it that you are staring at?"
Bruce pulled her closer, inhaling her jasmine scent, and mumbled, "Oh, nothing. Just looking at my beautiful wife that I can't believe I managed to marry."
Marinette flushed a deep red before punching his arm, "Sap."
"Your sap," he retorted back.
"Yes, my sap," she whispered before giving him a deep kiss.
As Bruce pulled away from her, he mumbled against her lips, "Besides, we all know I'm your favorite."
Marinette smirked before saying, "Oh, I don't know. Your son seems to be just as charismatic as you."
"Exactly–," Bruce started saying before he realized what she said. "Hey! Come back here you!" Marinette giggled as he chased after her trying to tickle her.
The rest of the family came into the room, trying to find the cause of the noise. But they stopped at the scene of their parents laughing together on the ground. Dick then yelled, "Cuddle time," and jumped onto his parents, the rest of the kids, even Alfred joining.
As they all laughed together, Marinette looked at every member of her new family. They were all so different, and that was what made them unique. Even their signs of affection were unique to themselves. But at the end of the day, she knew that they loved her and that she loved them. And that was all that mattered.

Boxes
Mominette Month 2021 Day 01: Moving/New Home (alt) Masterlist
Marinette stares at the half empty room, boxes piled up near the entrance. She had been living in that house for years now, it’s quite terrifying how fast time flies when it wants to. She snaps out of her daze and continues to pack her sewing supplies into another box. She feels hands wrap themselves around her waist as someone hugs her from behind. That someone being her long term boyfriend.
“Bruce…” Marinette whines, “Let me finish packing…”
Bruce begrudgingly removes his hands and lifts the box Mari had finished packing, stacking it on the pile of boxes. Marinette giggles a little, it was adorable how even with the no nonsense vibe that rolls off him, Bruce can be quite the cuddler. Hearing her laugh, Bruce turns to his girlfriend. He smiles a rare smile, a genuine smile, at her before pulling her in for a kiss.
“Why do I have to walk in during the most unfortunate moments.”
The voice made them snap out of their stupor as they see Tim walk in to stack yet another box on the pile. The couple just laughs softly as they in gesture for Tim to join them in a hug. The boy walks towards them, accepting the invitation as he melts into their arms. The situation feels oddly domestic considering their hectic lives, both day and night.
The three other boys walk into the room a while after, Dick being the last.
“Group cuddle!” he shouted as he dragged Jason and Damian to join which resulted in Damian taking out his katana.
“Don’t you dare!” the youngest warned.
“Oh come on, Dames…” Dick said reaching to hug his brother.
Damian yelled, “Absolutely not!”
He runs out of the room with Dick chasing right behind him, the comfortable silence that loomed over a few minutes ago now replaced by chaotic shouting. Bruce sighed at their antics and Tim whined having found the silence and warmth comforting, and quite possibly because of the fact he hasn’t slept in over three days, now running purely on caffeine.
“We should probably finish packing up if we’re planning to move everything by tonight,” Bruce said through the loud noises his sons were making.
Marinette nodded, “We probably should.”
≻───── ⋆✩⋆ ─────≺
Marinette thanks the moving people as they placed the last of her things in the manor. She didn’t have a lot of things, the boxes were mostly her clothes and sewing supplies. Her furniture, kitchenette, and a lot of other items are being donated to an orphanage since she doesn’t need them anymore.
She carries one of the boxes to a room that was to be her studio only to see her boys, all five of them, on the couch, fast asleep. Marinette smiles at the sight as she puts the box she was holding down to go and find a blanket. Once she obtains the blanket, she walks back to the living room and drapes the blanket over the sleeping boys.
Marinette smiles again and takes a quick picture before continuing her way to the studio. Once all her items were in the studio, after she finishes setting everything up, she walks into the living room again. All five boys were still sleeping peacefully on the couch.
“Would you like to have some tea with me, Ms. Marinette?” Alfred said gently as he entered the room, a fond smile on his face as he looks at his son and grandchildren.
“That would be lovely, Alfred.”

Snippet for Mominette Month (August)
Have a sneak peak at what I’ve been working on for @mominettemonth
Blinking in confusion for a moment, she settled her hand on the boy’s back, “I’m not your mom sweetheart. But I want to help find her. What’s your name?” He was looking at her again in confusion, and after a moment it escalated into panic. The boy breathing fast, as he shook his head rapidly. “shh, little bird, it’s okay.” Mari said, reaching out to pull the boy close again. “you must have hurt your head and are having a little bit of trouble remembering. I’ll look after you for now and we’ll try to find your family, okay?” she said, petting his back as he starting crying against her chest. She grimaced at the sniffles and the occasional face rub. She’s going to need to soak snot out of this shirt tonight. But as she hummed to calm the boy, she realised that it didn’t matter. There was a little boy here who needed her.
Looking forward to seeing other peoples submissions!

Mominette - Day 11 - Maribat March 2021
yay some pure fluff today. Enjoy! @maribatmarch-2k21 ao3 link
Marinette couldn’t take her eyes off of her.
She was tiny, so very tiny. Seven pounds and six ounces. She fit perfectly in Marinette’s arms.
Her round little head was covered in tufts of black hair, her tan skin soft to the touch, and her eyes a cool brown. She had a cute button nose and chubby little cheeks.
Her name was Layla Clementine Wayne and Marinette loved her with her entire heart and soul.
She’s never known this kind of love before. It felt like it was going to consume her whole as she sat in the hospital bed, her newborn daughter gurgling quietly in her arms.
She knew in that moment that she would do anything, anything on this Earth for this baby girl. There was no limit to her love. She’d been so happy when she found out she was pregnant, she’d taken the pregnancy test and put it in a small gift box, then gave it to a completely unprepared Damian. She didn’t see her husband cry very often, but on that day she wasn’t sure he would ever stop. Of course, she was her own blubbering mess, so she really couldn’t talk. Both of their families had been over the moon at the announcement. Her parents were ecstatic as expected and her grandparents elated. Damian’s siblings cheered and shed tears when they found out. And Bruce, oh Bruce. Even The Batman himself had to take a moment to compose himself, Alfred, still around and kicking, had remarked how excited he was to be a great-grandfather. Their friends had been equally as excited, and immediately started making plans for Marinette’s baby shower, even though it was months away at the time.
Her pregnancy hadn’t been a walk in the park, especially with the added responsibility of Ladybug. She’d immediately been benched from missions, something that the newer Justice League member was not happy about. Though she understood that The League was just looking out for her and her unborn child. She’d still done work behind the scenes during her pregnancy, even helping Oracle with some hacking and intel. Marinette was quite a clever woman, so she’d caught on quick with Oracle’s help. It was hard being left behind while Damian still went on missions, but as her pregnancy progressed, Robin had taken a leave of absence to be with his wife. Things had gotten a lot easier after Damian went on leave. He was practically at her beck and call, getting her anything and everything she needed. Her labor hadn’t been pleasant, no labor was, but Marinette was a strong woman and handled it well. Damian, level headed as ever, had remained calm when she announced that her water had broken, but inwardly, he was a mess. He called Dick and told him that if he wasn’t there to pick them up in the next five minutes, Bludhaven would need a new hero. Dick arrived as fast as possible and drove the couple to the hospital while his brother sat in the back with his sister-in-law, holding her hand and reminding her to breathe. In the end, the labor and delivery went smoothly, and both mother and daughter were perfectly healthy.
Marinette was so engrossed in her daughter that she almost didn’t notice her husband return to the room with a cup of water for her.
“How are my girls?” Damian asked softly, sitting down on the edge of the bed. The tenderness in his voice made Marinette smile.
“We’re good.” She answered, tearing her gaze away from their daughter to beam at her husband.
Her dazzling smile and the bundle in her arms filled Damian’s chest with a warmness he couldn’t quite describe. It was something so loving that it overwhelmed him. He wrapped his arm around his wife’s shoulders, leaning in to peer down at their baby girl.
“Hello Albi.”  He murmured to the little baby. Layla cooed in response.
“She’s so stunning, Angel.” He kissed his wife’s temple. “Just like her Maman.”
Marinette hummed. “Smooth.”
Damian chuckled. “Only telling the truth, Habibti.” He let Layla’s tiny hand wrap around one of his fingers. “She gets her beauty from you.”
Marinette leaned her head on his shoulder. “She’s got some of your good looks in there, too.”
Damian laughed again. “She’s definitely a Wayne.”
“And she’s all ours.” Marinette stated, a look of wonder on her face. “Can you believe it?”“Hardly.” Damian replied. “It’s surreal.” “It really is.” Marinette mused. “When I was young I always wanted children, but I never saw myself as a mom, y’know? I just didn’t think I deserved to be one, I guess.” Damian kissed her head again. “If there is any woman on this Earth that deserves to be a mother, it’s you, Angel. You are going to be a wonderful Maman to our daughter.” he reassured. “Out of the two of us, I am the less deserving one. I always have been.” Marinette lifted her head to look at him. “Damian..you know that’s not true. It doesn’t matter what happened in the past or how you were raised.  All that matters is how you’ve grown and who you are now.” She pressed their foreheads together. “And there’s no one else I’d rather father my child.” A fond smile spread on Damian’s face at his wife’s words. He kissed her nose before leaning down to kiss their daughter’s head. “And that is why you’ll be such a good Maman. You always know what to say.” Marinette snorted. “Not always.” “I beg to differ.” Damian argued, stroking Layla’s tiny fingers. “This little one seems to adore you already.” “Damian, she’s an hour old.” “And? She can already tell how wonderful her Maman is.” Marinette laughed, leaning her head on his shoulder again. “May she always know how loved she is.” Marinette said softly. Damian nuzzled her head. “She will, Habibti. I’m positive she will.”

Coral, Baby’s Breath, and Forget-me-nots
For Maribat March 2021 day 11 prompt Mominette.
this is a sort of sequel to day 5 prompt Last Time about Marinette and her husband, named Flynn (he’s British (sort of)).
enjoy ~
Marinette remembers the day she met her late husband.
They were in college, just trying to make it through. He had just moved to the states from London and didn’t really know anyone so she invited him to a study group she was going to. Marinette sat down beside Tim, Kon on his other side with Steph and Cass across from them. Marinette’s new friend, Flynn, sat across from her, and the six studied for hours, eventually moving the study group back to Marinette’s apartment.
They ran into Jason there, Marinette wrapping the older man in a hug as the other five filed into the apartment.
“Hey, Jay-Jay,” Marinette said as she pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Whatcha doin’ here? Don’t you have your own place?”
“I don’t have Cool Ranch Doritos and Funyuns.” Jason pressed a kiss to Marinette’s forehead. “Hey Pix.”
“You know your brother, sisters, and Kon. The cutie with brown hair and blue eyes is Flynn from my Business Administration class.” Marinette smiled and settled against his side. “Flynn, this is my brother in all but blood Jason.”
“Hello, guy that my sister thinks is cute,” Jason said while looking at his other siblings.
“Hello, Marinette’s brother in all but blood.” Flynn smiled.
---
Marinette remembers her first date with her late husband.
Marinette rifled through her closet looking for something to wear on her date with Flynn. She knew she wanted something a little edgier than what she normally did, granted she usually showed up to class in sweats but it was the thought that counts.
Eventually, she turned to look at Jason, who was drinking a smoothie while lounging on her bed. “What do you think?”
“What about that Jagged Stone shirt you have, not the merch the one, the one that you made him that he gave you after you left Paris with a pair of ripped jeans, some heeled ankle boots, and a leather jacket?” Jason let a smirk spread across his face as Marinette stared at him before she tackled him, making sure that he didn’t spill his smoothie on her bed.
“Thanks, Jay-Jay.” Marinette pressed kisses to his cheeks before going back to her closet. “Hey, Jay-Jay? Can you do my hair for me?”
Marinette got dressed while Jason plugged in the curling iron and got out Marinette’s makeup, knowing that she’d ask him to do her makeup too.
Marinette wore a pair of dark grey ripped skinny jeans, a black oversized shirt with hidden embroidery of a musical note at the bottom hem, brown lace up wedge booties and a brown leather jacket (that she borrowed from Jason). Jason had curled her hair away from her face and the left side pinned in the back while her makeup was light. Her eyes were done in a mix of pinks and browns with copious amounts of glitter, a thin black wing, and light mascara. She had a light pink lip and gold highlight, which matched the gold earrings she wore.
Flynn, on the other hand, wore blue jeans with a nice tee and sneakers with his hair styled away from his face.
They went to lunch and walked around a local park, simply talking and getting to know each other.
---
And Marinette would never forget the day she got married.
Jason was her man of honour, wearing a beautiful coral suit jacket with coral dress pants. Cass, Steph, and Barbara were her bridesmaids, all in beautiful coral dresses. Their dresses were long dresses with lace cap sleeves and flattering on all three girls. Kate was stepping in as mother of the bride, and she wore a beautiful bronze coloured dress. The dress was off the shoulder, with a lace bodice and a satin skirt that reached her knees. Carrie was the flower girl, with a satin and tulle dress with flowers trapped inside the tulle. Her dress was white with coral coloured flowers.
Tim, Kon, Duke, and Damian were Flynn’s groomsmen, with Damian being his best man simply because the boys fought for it and Damian won. Tim, Kon, and Duke all wore black dress pants with coral dress shirts and baby's breath boutonnieres. Damian wore coral dress pants, a white dress shirt, and a black suit jacket with a baby’s breath and forget-me-not boutonniere. Dick was the only one not wearing coral, as he was dressed in a light gray three-piece suit. Dick had graciously offered to be the officiant.
Bruce wore a simple black three-piece suit with a coral tie and forget-me-not blue pocket square. Selina wore a stunning silver and bronze one-shoulder dress with forget-me-nots and baby’s breath woven into her hair. They were filling in for Flynn’s parents, who had disowned him for not wanting to follow in their footsteps. However, Flynn’s grandmother, a wonderful woman named Ariella, had decided to simply remove Flynn’s parents from her will and leave only Flynn in it because she had always been closer to Flynn than to his parents. She wore a lovely bronze shift dress and tan flats and sat in the first chair on Flynn’s side.
Marinette wore a white princess-style dress made of satin with a tulle overlay and matching coral flower petals trapped between the layers of tulle. She had baby’s breath and forget-me-nots braided into her hair. She would always remember it as the beginning of her happy life.
---
The days her children were born were some of the happiest days of her life.
Marinette and Flynn had prepped for months before their first child was born. Jaden was born just after midnight on September ninth. She had brown hair and her mother’s blue-gray eyes. Rowan, their second child, was born just before noon on January fifteenth. He looked like a miniature version of Flynn. With Charlie, their third, being born nearly a year later on January thirteenth at six in the afternoon. He had black hair and Flynn’s blue eyes.’. Haden, their youngest, was born two and a half years after Charlie, on July twenty-seventh at a little after six in the morning. She looked like a miniature version of Marinette.
Marinette would always say that her favourite creation in life was her children, and she would never regret a single second spent with them.

An Unexpected Turn Of Events
Mominette Month 2021
Day 01 - Find A Child
Masterlist
Authors note: Hi, everyone! Just one quick to let you all know so that this fic is not confusing for you. This fic is a reverse Robin fic. In other words, Dick is the youngest instead of the eldest, and Damian is the oldest instead of the youngest. This same thing applies to all of the other bat children as well.
Marinette sighed in relief as she finished rifling through her purse. She had woken up late and had hastily left her hotel room for her consultation. She had thankfully not left behind anything that she would need during the consultation. Feeling a bit paranoid, she looked once more through her purse, and there was the tape measure, pencils, notebook, sewing kit, and the NDAs. She may or may not have flipped through the grimoire belonging to the guardians and found the spell for expanding the space in her purse to be the way it was for her yo-yo when she transforms into Ladybug. Unlike her yo-yo, the expansion was still limited. But the extra space was still beneficial.
As Marinette was walking, she pulled out her phone to look at the time. 9:50, she thought, leaves me enough time to get to Wayne Tower by 10:00 if I want to be on time. As she was putting her phone away, she felt something hit her legs and torso. She let out a slight oof at the unexpected weight against her lower body. As she peered down, she saw a cute boy, probably around eight years old clinging onto her legs. He had black hair, and as he looked up at her with teary eyes, she saw the most devastating sparkling blue eyes she had ever seen. His slightly chubby cheeks were flushed pink, and his nose also had a pink tinge to it. The flushness was probably a result of the choked sobs he was currently letting out.
As Marinette looked around, she realized that none of the nearby grown-ups looked to be his parents, nor did they look like they were missing a child. She bent down and smiled softly at him, hoping to calm him down a bit. After a beat or two, her smile seemed to do the trick, and his sobs reduced down to a few tears. Once she knew that he had calmed down, she softly whispered, “ Hey, honey. Are you lost? Do you want me to find your parents?”
He sniffled a few times before replying with a slight tremor in his voice, “Yes. Please help me find my Boose.”
“Your Boose?” Marinette questioned.
“Yes,” he slightly whimpered, “Boose is my new daddy. My other daddy and mommy had to say goodbye to me.”
Marinette gasped in shock at his words. This poor kid, so young, and yet his parents were gone. Dead. Marinette thought about the many akumas which her parents didn’t survive. She then shook herself out of her thoughts. Come on, Marinette. Stop worrying about yourself all time. Your parents are okay now. But this kid is lost! Get out of your head! Steeling herself, she gently asked him, “What’s your name, hon? Mine is Marinette, but you can call me Mari..”
Surprised by the kindness and warmth in her voice, he stuttered out, “Richard… but I like Dick better. Richard sounds old. I’m not old!” He then shyly added, “It’s nice to meet you, miss. You have a pretty name.”
Marinette smiled as she saw his confidence growing with every word he spoke. Marinette laughed aloud at the words he shyly said, “It’s nice to meet you too.” She then questioned, “Do you remember where your daddy is?”
Dick was now bouncing on his heels, and he squealed out in excitement, “Yes! My daddy is in the big, tall building with the huge ‘W’ on it!”
The corners of her mouth twitched in amusement. Dick’s excitement was infectious. His words then caught up to her. Well! It looked like luck was on her side after all! She would have enough time to get Dick back to his dad and still be on time for her consultation. She stood back up and then smiled down at him, “Well, I’m heading there too! So why don’t I take you back to your daddy?”
Dick nodded his head rapidly before holding her hand with his much smaller one. They then started walking towards Wayne Tower. Dick continued to babble on about the most random of things. He talked about his grumpy older brother, who it seemed begrudgingly liked him. He also discussed the many pets his older brother had. It also seemed like Dick’s adoptive dad had a slight problem with adopting too many children from what could be told from the many siblings that Dick mentioned.
When the door of Wayne Tower came into sight, Dick stopped talking, allowing them to walk in comfortable silence. As she was about to speak to ask him where in the building his father worked or the name of his dad, Dick blurted out, “I like you, Miss Mari. Can you be my mommy? I don’t have a new one yet!”
Marinette stopped in shock before trying to stutter out something, anything, but all of her words were incoherent. What do you say in response to a question like that, she thought to herself? She saw Dick looking at her for an answer, and after a while, he decided to pull out some puppy eyes. Shoot! Marinette thought. I need to say something to stall for time. At least until I get him to his dad. She reassured him, “I am thinking about my answer, Dickie! But how about we first get back to your daddy, and then we talk about it?”
Dick contemplated her words before nodding in agreement and practically bouncing through the doors. Marinette sighed in relief and also walked through the doors. Her head was down as she speculated what she should do about Dick’s question. Suddenly, a rough voice spoke up in front of her, “Hello. Ms. Dupain-Cheng, I presume.”
Marinette lifted her head, and there in front of her was Bruce Wayne, her newest client. And clinging to him was the very boy that was holding her hand just seconds ago. She suddenly remembered hearing something about Bruce Wayne adopting the son of some acrobats who were in an accident. The name of the kid was Richard Grayson! She hadn’t made the connection!
Realizing that Bruce was looking for an answer, she hastily stuck out her hand, stuttering, “That is correct, Monsieur Wayne. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”
He stared at her hand before gently taking it and raising the back of her hand to his lips. “Please, the pleasure is all mine. Let’s make our way upstairs.”
She blushed at his gentlemanly actions before squeaking out a small, “Let’s.” The three of them climbed into the elevator and went to the top floor of the building. The doors of the elevator opened up, and Bruce gestured for her to go first. She did so and looked around at the beautiful interior of the building that she had not yet noticed. Bruce then opened up the door to what seemed to be his office. Inside she saw there to be seven kids. She smiled at them in greeting. Most of them smiled back at her. The exception to this was what looked to be the oldest and one of the younger ones. (Damian and Jason, if you didn’t figure it out.)
Marinette felt Bruce step closer so that he was next to her before he spoke once more, “These are all of my children, biological, adopted, or otherwise.” He pointed to the man with stunning green eyes stating, “This is my oldest son, Damian. He’s 22.” Damian gave a tight-lipped smile in response, along with a slight tilt of his head.
Next, Bruce gestured to what looked to be the second oldest saying, “This is Tim. He’s 18 years old.” He was sipping coffee and giving the briefest of nods to her. He looked seconds away from collapsing.
He then acknowledged a blonde girl, remarking, “This is Stephanie, but she likes to be called Steph. She’s 17 years old.” The girl seemed to be bouncing in place and close to bursting from excitement.
He pointed to a rough-looking boy stating, “This here is Jason. He just turned 15. He’s a few months older than the next youngest.” The boy smirked at Marinette in acknowledgment of his introduction.
Bruce finally gestured to a girl with Asian features saying, “This is Cassandra or Cass. She’s 14, but like I said, a few months younger than Jason.” The girl seemed to be peering through her very soul. After gazing for a few seconds, she hummed in what Marinette deemed to be satisfied as if she liked what she saw.
Bruce then turned towards her, “And you’ve already met Richard or Dick. Thank you for bringing him back.”
Marinette smiled in acknowledgment of his compliment before replying, “It was nothing Monsieur Wayne. He was all alone, so I had to help him. But he was delightful the whole time. Now as for what I came here for, what type of clothes have you been looking for–”.
But before she could continue, Dick blurted out, “Daddy, I like Ms. Mari! Can we keep her? I want her to be my mommy!”
The result was instant. The room burst into a flurry of noises, each of Bruce’s kids trying to speak over one another. Marinette was blushing very brightly. In fact, from how hot her face felt, she was sure that she was inventing new shades of red. Marinette looked over to see Bruce’s reaction and squeaked when she saw him staring at her with a sharp, analytical gaze.
Marinette took a few breathes to calm herself down. She then softened both her gaze and voice as she addressed Dick, “Dickie, honey, as much as I loved meeting you and talking with you, I, unfortunately, cannot be your mommy. Bruce is your daddy, and he will someday find a lovely lady who will be your mommy.”
At her last sentence, all or most of the kids seemed to have snorted in amusement. It seemed as if they disagreed with her statement. Dick looked sad and seemed to be growing teary-eyed. Marinette looked over to Bruce for some help but only found him concealing the amusement that he was most likely feeling quite well. If she hadn’t been Ladybug, she probably would have never noticed the slight bit of emotion peaking through his mask. She glared at him reproachfully as if saying, this is your kid, so you need to help me convince him that I would not make a good mother.
He rolled his eyes in return as if trying to say, Don’t kid yourself. You would make an excellent mother. And you’re already attached to him, don’t deny it.
As Marinette sighed in response, Bruce turned away from her towards Dick and knelt to his level. He then gently said, “Now Dick. Miss Mari can’t be your mommy.” Marinette started nodding as if agreeing with Bruce’s words. But then stopped when he continued, “But she can visit you and maybe one day be your mommy.”
Marinette opened and closed her mouth, no words coming out. Before shyly looking down before raising her head, stammering, “Well, I guess I could visit.”
All the kids started cheering in response. The exception to this was Damian. But the corner of his lips was slightly raised as if the start of a smile. Dick bounded over to her, hugging her and babbling out everything he wanted to do with her. And in all the chaos, Marinette’s and Bruce’s eyes met. They both exchanged small smiles.
Marinette then clapped her hands together, reminding them, “I do still have to do a consultation with all of you. So how about we do that, and then we can do something fun together?” Seeing everyone’s nods, Marinette then continued with the consultation. But unbeknownst to anyone in the room, their relationship would change drastically in the coming months. But ultimately, it would change for the better.
One Year Later
It has been a year since the faithful day when Dick requested Marinette to be his mom. And since then, they only seemed to grow closer. She had met Alfred, Bruce’s Psuedo father and the children’s pseudo grandfather. She thought that he was extraordinary. And honestly godsent. She also experienced a lot of adventures with the Waynes. In fact, after only four months of knowing each other, she figured out that they were the Bat-Family. She had caught them once after patrol and raised her eyebrow as if demanding an answer, and god did she get an answer from them!
Marinette and Bruce had also started dating. This change in their relationship occurred a few weeks after she found out their identities. They were now engaged to be married in a few months. All the children had warmed up to Marinette over the months, even Damian, who always withheld his emotions. But they had all come to see her as their mother figure and were ever so grateful for her. And so they wanted to do something for her birthday.
The very morning of her birthday, everything went wrong. Marinette woke up to quite the sight. All over the kitchen was what looked to be cake batter. It seemed as if they were trying to put the baking she had taught them to good use, but they had also made the cake batter explode. Marinette and Bruce stared at the mess before they both started laughing. Marinette had a light, melodic laugh, while Bruce had a very gruff laugh.
Marinette beckoned all of them forward for a hug before proclaiming, “I love that you all were trying to do something for me, but none of you had to do anything. But it’s the thought that counts, so thank you. But next time, please stay away from the kitchen.”
She then shooed them on their way before getting two mops, handing one to Bruce as she passed by him. She kissed him on the cheek before starting to clean up the mess, Bruce following her actions. She then quietly snickered, “Well, this was quite a sight to wake up to on your birthday. I would have thought that today would have been relaxing.”
She looked up to see Bruce shoot her a small look before shaking his head in amusement. “Mari, darling, when has our lives with them ever been relaxing? They are always getting into trouble.”
She snorted in response, “Yes, well, they get it from their father.”
Bruce glared at her lightly before pulling her into a deep kiss, “I don’t know. Their mother seems to be just as chaotic sometimes.”
She shook her head in amusement, pulling herself away from Bruce’s embrace and questioning, “How is this even my life anymore?”
He chuckled lightly, alerting her that he was about to sass her in some way. “Well, from what I remember, about a year ago, you came across this kid that–”
Marinette held up a finger to his mouth, stopping him from uttering another word. She was also glaring at him reproachfully. “Yes, I do know-how. I was there. Now go away so that I can clean up the rest of the kitchen. You’re distracting me.”
He let go of his mop before giving her another deep kiss and then darting away. As he strolled out of the room, he shouted over his shoulder, “Oh, I know how distracting I am. I am well aware of how irresistible I am, ma coccinelle.” He could hear her spluttering in response before yelling back at him, but he continued on his way to his office. Along the way, he chuckled to himself.
Back in the kitchen, Marinette was glaring at nothing. She was also plotting ways to show her fiance who the irresistible one was. She then sighed in happiness. Yes, her life was amazing. A year ago, if someone told her this would be her life, she wouldn’t have believed it. But now she was living it, and god was it amazing. Funny what finding a child will do to you, Marinette thought to herself before carrying on with her task of cleaning up the mess her kids had made. Yeah, life was amazing.

Mominette Month 2021 Day 03: Public Chaos Masterlist
It was Bruce and Marinette's 6th year anniversary. Bruce had taken her to the Wayne Botanical Garden for their date. They had met each other there when Marinette was looking for inspiration and Bruce came to check on things. Bruce had been intrigued by the designer's designs. One thing led to another and they started dating. Their date was simple, nothing too romantic. It was just dinner on one of the benches there, sitting together in each other's presence.
Marinette was wearing a white sundress. It's sleeves fell off her shoulders making her look elegant but still keeping it simple. The dress itself fell right above her knees and was a little bit longer on the back side. It was embedded with various patterns of flowers all around. Her date had on a casual white button up shirt completed with a pair of jeans.
Bruce could feel his nerves creep up on him as he reached for the small box in his pocket. Inside it was a gold ring, custom made by one of the best jewelers in Gotham. It was an infinity ring with a bat on one end, and a ladybug on the other. On the inner part was engraved the words "mon amour" in beautiful calligraphy, my love.
"Marinette," he said, catching her attention.
He stood up and came to stand in front of her. He fiddled with the box in his hands a bit before finding the right position to hold it and went down on one knee.
"When I met you here six years ago I could've never imagined that our future would turn out like this. I regret nothing approaching you and everyday I'm grateful that I did. You always managed to amaze me with everything you do. Everytime I think I know every part of you, you always show me there's more. The day I found out you started protecting Paris at thirteen, when I hadn't even started my training, my adoration skyrocketed despite the fact that I thought it couldn't go higher. You love the boys with such care that they view you like a mother. Now I ask, would you want to make it official? Would you do me the honor of being their mother, of being my wife?"
"Yes," Marinette replied softly between her cries of joy, tears were already spilling from her eyes.
Bruce smiled and placed the ring on her finger. He stood up and kissed her with a passion. The kiss felt familiar, but no less loving. They embraced each other for quite some time before their peace was cut short by the sounds of both their phones ringing.
The only notifications that can bypass the do not disturb settings both of them turned on were notifications from the boys. They looked at each other in confusion and Bruce opened his phone. He saw a notification from twitter. "@DickGrayson just tweeted" it said. He showed the notification to Marinette as he opened it.
Both their eyes widened in horror as they read it.

A few seconds later, the tweet was deleted along with all its replies. Unfortunately both Bruce and Marinette knew that the news would reach the headlines tomorrow. The press only needs a second to gather up news like this, the tweet was posted for a full five minutes. That and the fact that #BrucinetteProposal was trending.
The two shared similar sighs and packed their items to head back to the manor. It was going to be a long night.
≻───── ⋆✩⋆ ─────≺
Tim was already starting to get a hold of the situation when they got back. He was hunched over on his laptop looking more exhausted than normal. Marinette walked slowly over to him and took his laptop away from him. She sat next to him and ran her hand through his hair.
"Take a break, sweetie, we'll take it from here."
"But-"
"Nope, don't make me carry you to bed."
Tim reluctantly got up and headed to his room, stretching his arms as he walked.
"You know it's very unlikely that he will sleep right?" Bruce said, sitting down as well.
Marinette giggled, "Yeah, but he looked like he was about to pass out."
She sighed and leaned back.
"So, the situation? Are we just going to come clear to the press? Just announce we're engaged?"
Bruce seemed to think about it for a moment.
"I suppose that's ok, we'll just keep our wedding date a secret, it's not like we discussed when our wedding is going to be held anyway."
The couple smiled at each other and just sat there, cuddling in silence. A couple of minutes later, Dick walked in, a guilty look on his face. When Marinette noticed, she gestured for him to come over. Dick walked over slowly and joined them on the couch. Both Bruce and Marinette gave him a tight hug.
Everything's gonna be just fine

Mominette Month 2021 Day 02: Signs of Affection Masterlist
They say there are five love languages; words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch. Each person has their own way to show their affection, ways you won't understand until you get to know the person. When it comes to her boys, Marinette can read them like a book.
Damian Wayne, the youngest.
Damian’s love language, like Tim’s, is quality time. Again, his mother and grandfather most definitely has a large impact on that fact. He loves the fact that someon is spending their time with him without any reason. Back when he was in the league, the only time his mother and grandfather would spend some time with him was during training sessions.
One of his favorite activities is baking with Marinette. Even if half of the time his brothers would be there and mess things up, the warmth of making something (quite literally, ovens are hot, let me tell you) together always makes him happy. He does enjoy the nice time he has baking with Marintte only, sometimes Alfred, things actually get done and it’s not even messy.
Solving cases with Tim is nice too, not that he’ll ever admit that. Despite his claims, he does enjoy spending time with his brothers. When Dick would drag them out together, or when Jason would softly read to him. He likes the times his father would just walk into whatever room he was in and just sit in silence.
Tim Drake, second youngest, second middle.
Tim’s love language is quality time, his neglectful parents certainly had a large impact on that fact. Spending time with someone makes him feel appreciated, it’s nice to know that someone wants to do so. He’d most often sit around in the living room when Alfred is cleaning, comfortable silence surrounding them with the occasional questions.
Sometimes when he’s working in his office, Marinette would purposely bring her sketchbook to the tower so they can work together. Tim adores those moments, to know that someone is there for the sole reason of spending time with him is a nice feeling. He’d glance at her every once in a while and smile. If they happen to turn to each other at the same time, they’d smile even brighter, sometimes laugh.
With his brothers, he most often spends quality time when they’re reading. All four of them just lounging in the library, reading different books. Sometimes Bruce and Marinette would join them. Alfred most definitely has pictures.
Jason Todd, second eldest, first middle.
Jason shows his affection through acts of service. The little things he'll do for his brothers, his father, and his mother, shows that. Often he will come across one of them tired and he'll make them a coffee, or if he finds them asleep he'll cover them with a blanket. He’ll never admit it, but his family knows, and he knows that they know.
“It’s a matter of pride,” he said once to Marinette, “I don’t really know why.” Like most of the other boys, he opens up to Marinette the most. I guess it’s just her motherly bond.
Sometimes, most times actually, Jason would help Mari carry bolts and bolts of fabric into her studio. Other times, he’d help her and Alfred in the kitchen. He would help Tim with cases and work, and help Dick after a fight with Bruce. He’d take care of Damian’s pets when he is away. He rarely helps Bruce, but he most definitely has done something for him.
Dick Grayson, the eldest.
Dick's love language leans heavily on physical touch as well. He has always been the best at stating his emotions (as best as a Wayne boy can be). If Marinette stayed in her studio for days, Dick would burst into her studio and just drag her over to the couch asking for cuddles.
On other days, he'd just come up to his mom and hug her from behind. Sometimes they'd chat while Dick had his head on Marinette's lap, sometimes they'd just sit in silence. His brothers don't seem to enjoy the sudden hugs though. Then again, they're all just on different levels of paranoia.
Marinette would often schedule family game nights, movie nights, and Dick would be the most ecstatic out of her four boys. Family movie nights were always going to be some sort of cuddle session. The rest of the boys would pretend to be annoyed but Marinette knows they're enjoying every second spent together.
Bruce Wayne, the father.
Bruce’s love language is physical touch. This man may seem all broody and dark, and he is, but he loves a good cuddle. After late patrols, Bruce's favorite thing is just to spoon his girlfriend. Bruce loves the feeling of knowing that his loved ones are nearby. He feels content knowing that they’re safe.
He’s most open about hugging Marinette more than anyone else. He loves his kids, he really does. It’s more because of the fact that he feels like he failed as a father. He has a multitude of arguments with Dick, Jason literally died, Tim has worked piled up for WE at a young age, and he didn’t even know Damian existed until he was ten years old.
The guilt he feels seems to only push him even farther away from getting to know his children. His children are all ready to get to know him and Marinette’s helping him work on that, slowly…
Alfred Pennyworth, the pseudo grandfather.
Alfred's love language is both acts of service and words of affirmation, his boys definitely needed the second one more. Being a butler to the Wayne family allows him to help them in a lot of ways. From as simple as making breakfast to fixing up their injuries, he's always been ready to help them.
After Martha and Thomas died, Bruce had it hard emotionally. Because the younger boys had been raised by Bruce part of their life, they managed to somehow adopt part of his lack of emotion. Alfred would be the one to help reassure them. Word after word Alfred would ground the boys back down to the earth.
With Marinette, he helps her out of her spirals, her flashbacks. She is incredibly stubborn when it comes to him doing things for her. Still, Marinette most likely has the best control of her emotions. She also manages to somehow see when he is tired, when he is reaching his limit, then again, she is partially magical.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the mother.
Marinette has the love language that completes the five in the family, gifts. She always likes to make custom items for people and give it to them, one of the reasons she decided to become a fashion designer. All of her boys have something custom she made them, more than one actually.
Being the mother, she also has words of affirmation as a love language. Her boys would often come to her when they feel down or need some advice, aside from Alfred of course. She's always there for them whenever they need her and she's willing to listen to them through.
She and Alfred make a great team keeping everyone grounded while simultaneously grounding each other.
Their life was not perfect, but it was happy and that's enough.

Question
Mominette Month 2021 Day 04: Family Dinner Masterlist
Dinner was scarcely a peaceful time. The kids often bickering amongst themselves all the time. This night however, everyone was just exhausted. It had been a busy day for them all. That’s why Bruce clearing his throat slightly startled them.
“So,” he said, “Marinette and I wanted to ask you kids something.”
Everyone at the table turned to listen. Quite a lot of people were there. The boys - Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, and Duke - and the girls - Barbara, Cass, and Steph. Marinette held Bruce’s hand tightly, she could tell Bruce was trying to hide the fact that he was nervous. Keyword: trying.
“Boys, I want you to be my groomsmen,” Bruce stated. Marinette joined, opening her mouth, “And girls, be my bridesmaids?”
Dick as would be expected jumped up and screamed his answer, “Yes! Yes!”
He walked over to his adoptive father and gave the man a hug.
Jason was surprised. He didn’t expect that. He probably had the worst relationship with the man amongst everyone. He tried to hide his disbelieve but it was obviously not working. He turned to Bruce and just nodded. Damian and Tim tried to hide their excitement, but their joy was obviously written on their faces. If not on their lips, in their eyes. Steph, like Dick, jumped out of her seat and hugged her mother figure. “Yes!” she shouted, “I’m honored.”
Barbara and Cass smiled widely and joined in the hug. “I’d love to, Mar,” Barbara answered while Cass nods.
“This wedding is gonna be the best wedding of the century!”
