i finished watching moving and just!! spoilers ahead

i absolutely love the show??? the way the characters were written, just *chef's kiss*

like pls mihyun who wouldn't shoot at her commanding officer's order but will not hesitate to kill someone to protect her son

and jang juwon seeing lee jaeman about to attack the shockwave guy and going all "you're so fucked"

and lee jaeman going absolutely berserk to protect his son, but also "don't do that, ganghoon-ah, you'll hurt your hand"

and the kids!! bongseok carrying his eomma on his back like she used to do for him when he was younger

and huisoo throwing herself in front of a bullet in one scene and comforting a bloodied crying man on the sidewalk the next (showing us that she's both her father's and her mother's daughter)

and the nk agents too!! the show depicting that they might belong to a different side but they're human too and their whole backstories pls like just absolutely heartbreaking and they deserve better and "those who forces sacrifices are to blame" and my heart hurts at just how they were all called monsters but were used as pawns by the actual monsters

There wasn't a single character in 'Moving' that was useless/secondary, they all had backstories, feelings, meaning to the plot - from the three main families to the teacher, the cleaning lady, the bus driver, to the North Koreans. Hell, even the coffee machine was a character in itself and even camera girl and bully boy had a story in the end

The Fifth Season, N.K. Jemisin [started 11/03, finished 01/23] This was originally a dnf from 2023 that i decided to pick up again. My entry point into her work was The City We Became and fell in love with her voice. With Fifth Season, however, I felt like I loved parts of the story but didn’t fall in love with the sum of the whole. I will go more into why in the tags because it will touch on spoilers (mildly!) I still gave it 4⭐️ in storygraph. — The Moth Presents: All These Wonders, Catherine Burns [started 01/05, finished 01/31] I bought this collection from Half Price so long ago, I’ve forgotten what drew me in. Probably because of the Neil Gaiman foreword. I had not heard of The Moth so I went into this blind. Some of the stories made me wish I heard it live and feel the story breathe and beat with the audience. 4.25⭐️ in storygraph.

Flavorful Origins, Netflix [started: 09/28, finished 01/04] I watched s1/s2 in 2023 at various pts of the fall/winter. Finally wrapped up s3 in January and caught up. Unsure if its a complete series or ongoing, but I do hope to return to the series in the future if they do upload more seasons. This series reminds me of the YT channel Liziqi, where they take one ingredient and unravel the techniques and related dishes by region. A great palate cleanser amongst all the other shows I typically gravitate towards. — Last Twilight, GMMTV on YT [started 11/10, finished 01/26] The only show I watched in real time, as it premiered week by week. If I solely focus on the January episodes, for the sake of this post, I can’t say I was happy with the way the final act was handled. If I look back on the whole of it, it’s still really special to me. In fact, there are episodes that still stand as the very best in television, THE BEST. Still licking the wounds inflicted by the finale, though. — Moving, Hulu [started 01/08, finished 01/30] This lured me in by process of dash osmosis, which is the very best brand of entry pt. I am O B S E S S E D with this show, I am singing its praises! It soothed the scars left by the show Heroes. Amongst all the action sequences, espionage, and high school drama is this huge heart beating loud and strong. Lee Mihyun, the way I love youuuuu, the character you are 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 Guys, she saved January for me.

Chevalier, Hulu [watched on 01/14] The short runtime (well, short for the current landscape of cinema) did give me pause. I think some of the emotional beats could have been deepened if given 20 more min of his involvement in the rebellion. I think I wanted the betrayal to really cut me to the bone, but it felt like a papercut. — BlacKkKlansman [watched on 1/31] At this point, I would follow John David Washington’s career to the very end. I love his natural charisma. I want to see him go thru alllll the situations and wish this movie gave him a lot more room to breathe. Laura Harrier took me by surprise, portraying the BSU president Patrice. The story came to a very mild end and felt very tame, but the suspense held its own.

Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), Noah Kahan [first time listening] I originally learned about him when I was in my Lizzy McAlpine hyperfixation last year and heard she was a feature in one of his songs. And then I discovered a duet Noah did with Hozier and knew I had to spend time this month to sit down and really digest his album. WHOA MAN, this is one of those formative moments when music perfectly aligns with my current state of being. Take that as you will. Current top 5: Come Over, Strawberry Wine, Northern Attitude, Halloween, Your Needs My Needs — Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812 [relistening] what else is there to say, this is a mandatory yearly listen when it becomes below 0 outside. When I saw this show live, it was a January date as well so this relisten really got me spiralling. These two albums got me Feeling 🧍🏻‍♀️ on my walks.

Minecraft [game, on Switch] I got this game as a christmas gift and was where I spend most of my waking hours outside of work. I enjoyed watch MC streams on twitch and knew I would enjoy playing on my own. I get it now, I am soooooo late to this game. I think and dream Minecraft. My mountain house and harbor builds? Immaculate. They basic, but immaculate. Now I’m in my fishing era, esp when I have Stick Season playing in the background (nothing else mattered when the sun was rising and the song The View Between Villages played in the bg, it was a religious experience). — Lethal Company [game, on Twitch/YT] My entire month has been hopping from one stream to another, lobby after lobby. This game is so fun to watch and witness how all the mods evolved as time went on. I don’t think I myself would play the game myself, as I am a bit of a scaredy cat, but watching my fav groups play has been a highlight.

I watched the last episodes of Moving and I liked it, but there was also some things I was missing lol

Like what actually happened with Kisoo's leg? I know he hurt it and that "temporary teacher" just looked at him, but what ACTUALLY happened? Also why does he have beef with Ganghoon? Maybe I missed that lol. It felt like it was more than just him beating him up once. Also Dooshik just appearing in the end? Like where did you come from and why did you only show up now? Maybe I missed the reasoning lol. It also kind of disappointed me that Bongseok and his mom just moved away and disappeared. I wanted Bongseok and Huisoo being happy moments. I also missed a bit more story with Ganghoon? I know they kinda ended the drama in a way, so there could be a second season, but I feel like we needed more Ganghoon to actually establish a relation to him. He wanted to be friends with Huisoo, but then nothing really happened? Idk there's just my feelings about it lol

So i've been binging the last 3 episodes of Marry My Husbad.

When I tell you the plot had my jaw hanging wide open in the first half hour, maybe even 15 minutes!!!

I'm on team Jihyuk, but tell me why I'm kinda rooting for Eunho...he was so soft at the end of episode 3 aghhhh

Moving Review (Spoiler Free)

The biggest mystery in the whole drama is how the bus driver is able to keep his job after crashing the bus a few times.

This drama is about people with superpowers but who still have flaws and are ready to fight whatever they think matters.

I'm so so so so happy as I finally can say it that from the very first to the very last episode this drama did not disappoint me.

The plot of the drama is very intriguing and the viewer is always left wondering what is going to happen next, how did it ended up this way and more and more questions.

Which happily to us most of them get answered. But it's just so fun to be so indulged in the media where I want to make theories and I'm so invested with the characters.

I want to call it the first season even though the second is not announced (yet, hopefully). Because a lot of it felt like an introduction to the characters and their lives.

It also feels like there are just so many things left to be undiscovered but not in an unsatisfying way, more like "I need more of this because I loved it".

And I think a lot of people would enjoy this drama as it has a lot of action-packed stuff, where you're sitting on the edge, hoping that the character will stay safe.

But there is such a great focus on the characters as well. Everyone will get their backstories, everyone are interesting enough to have stories.

The older cast did a phenomenal job of portraying their characters, their actions scenes are amazing to watch and you fell in love with every single one of them.

Because at the end of the day, they're still shown as humans and not just superheroes.

The younger cast was also wonderful and they brought so much fluff and so much warmth not only to the parents but also to us, the viewers.

Overall, this drama is now among my top favourites. I couldn't get enough of it and I'm just happy now to go and look at the theories and it really feels like I was brought back from the slump.

blind (2022) is driving me insane. im begging my friends to watch it but theyre either busy with exams or almost exclusively fluff/romance-watchers . i need to talk ab this w someone just hit me up or something GOD

#kdrama blind (2022) #blind 2022 spoilers #tvn ocn blind (2022) #so my theory is the same as other peoples' its confirmed that 13 yoonjae is sungjoon so im thinking sunghoon was there too (somehow idk) an #that hes 11 and jung inseong the juror is 12. 11 and 12 seem to be real brothers? bc in ep1 11 said 'go meet mom' and not 'go meet your mom #and maybe 11 and 13 escaped together after hiding under the floorboards? since sj Was adopted maybe he was taken in when the parents found #sh after they escaped together? and the thing is everyone is involved somehow so if the mother was like in a high position at the center (i #i didnt the lady at the start of ep7 for someone else) then how was sunghoon there? idk i havent gotten that far on my theory except that #hes 11. maybe they were Both adopted? so the next to die is either the lady idr her name or the producer guy. 24 + 7 r confirmed dead now #13 is sungjoon. and inseong is def connected to this somehow like the rest of the jury. ergo my theory that hes 12. also i think the body #they found w ahn taeho's phone in ep8 is jung yoonjung's (yoonjae's older sister) bc of the necklace and the size of the skeleton. so now #they've found one body from the events of 20 years ago that happened at the center. all the jurors' kids will be killed as revenge for the #parents turning a blind eye on them as kids so theyre being punished by having their beloved children taken away from them. i think its #amazing how theyre all connected they dont know it at all. choi soongil was the only one who recognized ahn taeho (bc of the scar) and #yeom hyejin didnt know her father was sending kids to be abused and enslaved. kang youngki saw kids in numbered uniforms doing hard labor #never said a word bc keeping it a secret earned him money that he spent on his own kid who wouldve been around the same age as them. #from ep8 we see that the producer made a docu on the center and just buried it. and ofc mr baek who was the ringleader of all this. #his daughter killed on her birthday and kang youngki's daughter killed on her wedding day as retribution. im sad that ahn taeho died living #a life of guilt and fear moving around all the time but at least hes free from that now. im glad he got to apologize to 'yoonjae' for it #honestly i cant be mad at ahn taeho bc he was a survivor and a child and terrified. also is it just me or did sunghoon look disappointed #when ahn taeho confessed? like thats all the evidence i have supporting my theory that hes 11 i think. ofc theres the vibes? that he and #sungjoon have more history than the shows let on so far but if he was 11 he would be so disappointed bc he planned their escape #anyway come talk to me about this its driving me crazy
