I was going back and looking at some of the concept art of the characters in murder drones and I was looking particularly close to Khan’s concept art (the KHANcept art, if you will) and,

First of all, a little upset because we never got a full image I think, but anyway.

I noticed. That KHAN.

Concept:

Underneath the professional looking pilot clothes and the sleek arms and legs, parts of the DDs that were kept during their “upgrades” like their torsos still show the marks of their horrific transformations

Their abdomens have visibly been cut apart and stitched back together by staples that have since melted into and fused with their shells, if you look close enough there’s a slight color difference on the material that was jammed and stapled into their shells to widen them enough to hold the mismatched parts Cyn deemed “useful”, a mishmash of organs and bones and machinery that only mostly fits-

Hell, going with the idea that she treated them like her toys/cute little puppets, I’d imagine they’re not even cut up and put back together well, either- like. you can just tell Cyn was relying on hijacked nanites and eldritch forces to keeping them together, the rest of it’s all staples and nails and types of glue not at all made for the materials- the horrible patchwork of a child playing god

When the weather’s particularly cold or warm, their endoskeletons still ache, the staples and stitches still itch, and poor N’s optics are probably more ducttape than electronics by this point

Uzi x N comfort headcanons

I definitely think N would have nightmares very often. Either about J abusing him, the absolute solver, or just any other traumatic situation in his life

N would just wake up in the middle of the night crying, which would also wake up uzi from the sudden loud noise

At first uzi would be mad about N waking her up, but that quickly becomes concern when she realizes what's happening

Uzi would gently and carefully wrap her arms around N and pet his head

She would allow him to just cry for a little while, whispering sweet and comforting things until he was calmed down

Once N has calmed down enough, she'd ask him if he wants to talk about it

She doesn't push him to talk about it if he doesn't want to though

Whether he does or not, uzi would continue to hug/cuddle him, petting his head softly and whispering sweet things to him

Eventually N would fall asleep in her arms, purring softly as uzi pet his head and held him close

It wouldn't take long for uzi to fall asleep as well, humming a soft and quiet tune until she drifts off into a calm slumber

My Thad Headcanons

Because I'm so totally autism about him, you have no IDEA

I took this from a fic I read, but Thad runs warm. By this I mean his cooling system likes to malfunction every now and then and he has to throw himself into a bunch of icepacks until it works again. If he overheats, he’ll shut down so it systems can cool down much like a phone would

He's self conscious about his sharp canines, but not in the sense that he’s constantly thinking about it. It’s more like a “if i look at myself in the mirror and see my smile, I’m going to remember they’re there and be like ‘oh. that’s not right.’” Because of his insecurity with his sharp teeth, he refuses to go to the dentist

The fact Uzi had a crush on him before meeting N absolutely flew over his head (he’s stupid)

He likes girls AND boys

Ever since the fight with J and V in the pilot, he coughs up oil on occasion. Basically; Worker Drones are stupid and don’t know anything about their own anatomy, so instead of trying to fix the internal damage, they just welded his wounds closed, so now he’s just perpetually internally bleeding

He heals pretty quickly and has a high pain tolerance (entirely because he’s a sports player, and also he heals quick because of the fact he runs warm)

Sometimes he’ll get nightmares about the attack with V and J and also when Solver yonk’d his ass in episode 2. These fucked him up for a little while after and he couldn’t sleep very well, but they’re not as big of a problem anymore

His room is usually surprisingly neat and full of trophies and medals and other various sports memorabilia

Gets really competitive during football matches, but has really good sportsmanship <3 like he’ll be screaming shit during the match and then he’ll lose and to the other team he’s like “good job guys you absolutely rocked it out there, but we’ll beat you next time i’m sure of it >:)” he likes a lil friendly competition

Thad and Lizzy are twins but he’s younger than her by like 2 minutes. She teases him for this. In retaliation, he teases her because he’s taller (by 1 inch)

Sometimes they get in trouble for ‘bullying” each other, but every time they do, Lizzy just says “Siblings are fair game!” and Thad nods

I think he says “no problemo” a lot. He also says other silly phrases like "Okie Dokie Artichokie" and calling things "Rad" and ironically saying" tubular." Lizzy says "This isn't the 80's" and then he responds with "Well the 80s were sick as heck dude so I don't care"

He's a morning person

Listens to highly energetic songs without paying attention to the lyrics, so he’ll listen to the most like. Innapropriate songs without even realizing it just because they’re bops

Gets dating advice from Ron (the drone at the door from episode 2 for those who forget the bg characters)

Yk how people will throw food like popcorn into the air and then catch it in their mouths? yeah he’s really good at that

Sometimes when he can’t sleep he goes out and plays basketball by himself. tires him out so he can eep

Has a nice singing voice, but he doesn’t think he does (i’m projecting)

He doesn’t like to swear, but sometimes jokingly says “I will swear word at you” to his friends

If he’s holding something, he’ll start idly just flip it in the air and catch it over and over. subconsciously too, he just does that

He also plays Soccer and Basketball

Sometimes when someone grabs him unexpectedly, he’ll flinch a little (thanks solver). This usually only happens if he’s been spacing out or doesn’t see the person who grabbed him at first

Chill until someone messes with Lizzy. Then he will fight. Though she’s one of the popular girls so it doesn’t happen often

Weak to flirting; he gets flustered easily. Yet he’s a total flirt when he likes someone and is comfortable enough around them

I like to think Thad gets hurt a lot because he’s a fucking football player and usually he doesn’t get it fixed because it’s normal, but Lizzy and/or Uzi will yell at him to get it fixed because it could fuck with the strength of his casing

One time Thad said “Bite me” to Uzi and she just looked at him like a smug cat while he had a moment

Sometimes he’ll try to hide in his collar when he’s flustered (it never works)

He, Lizzy, and Doll were a trio of best friends (Until Doll's Solver infection started getting really bad and began distancing herself from the other two)

Doll's father (I headcannon his name as Ivan just for a basic Russian name) would take one look at Uzi and be like "Child, your size puts you at a disadvantage. You will not survive long in this world..." just to be all dramatic and shite.

And then like five seconds later he would be like "How about I show you how to throw knives? It'll be fun, my daughter really enjoys it :D" because he's secretly like a big goof he just doesn't know how to show it/ show it 'correctly.'

Oh absolutely, he definitely strikes me as someone who people have a hard time approaching but in reality he a pretty cool/chill guy, can be a goofball

Also I love how our idea on how he would act with Uzi would be the embodiment of this meme:

I feel like he would also be the one to challenge Doll and Uzi to like a game or sport for the fun of it

Murder Drones Headcanon:

The reason why Disassembly Drones are silent hunters/ don’t make monster-y noises when they hunt isn’t because they can’t, but because they were intentionally programmed not to/restricted from that behavior by the human handlers/ tech support workers for the sake of “palatability”/“Professionalism”, to the point where Eldritch J literally had to resort to saying the word Snarl.

Solver Drones like Uzi aren’t limited by this.

+ Some bonus concepts:

Uzi accidentally making a monstrous growl/strange scream-screech-bellow noise while not in full Solver-mode for the first time and just. ‘Was That?? ME??’

The DDs slowly coming loose of these restrictions over time and N or V purring unexpectedly/ getting so emotional these restrictions glitch and they manage to roar/growl/purr out of sheer rage/sadness/joy

Uzi not realizing she can purr leading to cute moments

Uzi subconsciously making bat like chirps/insect like trills when curious/examining an interesting scavenged part

N, V, and Uzi all being intimidating, only for Uzi to roar and accidentally startle the other two (lol)

Uzi/V/N feeling discomforted by the implication that, at least in some way, Uzi’s more monstrous/dangerous than (what they thought was) the Apex Predator, the Murder Drones, and this being tied to that idea

Different Solver Drones having different ways they mutate/ different traits, different sounds, just being generally different (Doll having her own strange, haunting noises?)

In general, there’s a ton of potential in like the idea of “Weird mix of biological and mechanical elements” for like. Descriptive elements and stuff- Sirens mixed with screeches, Chainsaw/Motor like growls, Metal Screeching/Heavy Machinery noises, electronic corruption sounds mixed with elk screams/crocodile bellowing/roaring-

THIS POST IS MORE IN-DEPTH ON MY DISASSEMBLY DRONE HEADCANONS, MORE SPECIFICALLY HOW THEY FIGHT FOR LEADERSHIP OF A SQUAD

So. The leader draws a circle on the ground and the two fighting drones enter the circle; This circle is the arena, the two drones will begin flaring out their wings and rattling the blades, using the reflective metal and sounds to try and intimidate eachother. The drones tails will remain low to the ground, and they will try to stand as tall as they can.

Once the two dueling drones make eyecontact, Then the pushing and shoving commences.

The drones will begin pushing eachother around with all their might, often shoving eachother down or running at eachother and shoving.

The goal is to get the opponent out of the circle. It only matters if they step foot outside of the circle, or On the line itself.

Any sort of attack like Biting, punching, kicking, stabbing- Any of that. Is seen as Highly Disrespectful, because they take this event way too seriously.

The squad is usually Very silent when observing, to not disturb the fighters and possibly distract the leader.

Loves her husband's photography and often stares at it to make her feel calm and safe when stressed

Draws the solver/similar things as Uzi and Nori, but not as often and tries to avoid it

Doll:

Secretly dated Lizzy for a long time, asked to make it officially official by asking her out for prom

Knows a LOT of bug facts

Freaky quiet kid everyone fears

Overly confident, yet keeps to herself, but will insult you if you act dude towards Lizzy

Highest grade in class even though she seems to always be asleep and only writes in Russian cursive

Lizzy:

Really bad in class, is either texting someone or passing notes
