Chapter 10: Everybody's Lied to Someone

Chapter summary:

Somehow, Iris has found herself in the middle of multiple not-relationship situations - and none of them matter as much as dealing with Thawne. She's going to put an end to this crap about her destiny. And she doesn't care who she has to lie to in the process.

Chapter snippet:

“Do we have a deal, Thawne?” 

He gives Iris a final, triumphant smirk. “If you can get me home, then yes. I can play-act as well as you. I’m willing to pretend I got lost in another universe, and never come back to bother your precious Barry again.” Thawne flops back against the wall of his cell. “Are at least going to give me a hint about how this all ends, Iris? How are you planning to get me back to my future, while everyone else believes I’ve gone far, far away?”

Iris stands up. “That’s where I’m counting on one more person.”

“To do what?”

“To make a… grand gesture.”

A picture of Severus in his late twenties, taken by Moody during a weekend at Moody’s cottage in the country. Severus was trying to do his daily exercises (Healer’s orders!) with that “ridiculous thing” (it being the gym ball!) when Moody took the picture. Severus was not amused.

This is a fanart I made for my fic The monster and the magical toys shop for which the last chapter has just been published! Severus is heavily disfigured in it, here is the description: 

The right side of his face was so scarred, it looked like it had melted somehow. The eye was missing and the empty eye socket deformed by the scarring. Weird little tendrils seemed to spider from where the eye should have been, confirming that the scarring was definitely from some very dark magic. It was… horrible, and a little scary to look at. It didn’t look like a human face. (...) He was dark-haired except for a few neatly defined white streaks that seemed out of place on someone that young.

Be gentle with me, I’m not an artist and this was hard!
