HERMÈS. Ready To Wear. Spring - Summer 2023

The focal point of the set design for the Hermès show was something like a large dune, because Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski took her audience to the campsite. After several years of stagnation, the holiday industry is reviving. Instagram is full of content from picturesque remote places. And hiking and camping require specific clothing and accessories. And Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski prepared well for the subject of "outdoor equipment".

The raincoat is supplemented with a layer of airy mesh, narrow dresses are equipped with comfortable zippers, allowing the user to adjust them to the circumstances. It is true that a rain poncho with a hood made of soft leather would probably not work during a real cloudburst and sandals on an interestingly treated wedge would not allow for long hikes in the forest, but - they are certainly very light.

Throughout the collection, we see a whole palette of desert browns juggling as well as shades of sunset. A sensational dress in muted shades of pink was designed to evoke flags rustling in the wind. The numbers on the scarves looked even better with the 3D glasses. As always, what Hermès studios can do with skin is astonishing.

Hermès, on the occasion of the women's collection in the spring of 2023, took their luxury to an imaginary desert. “Rave in the desert” - this is the main concept introduced to the runway by Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski, the brand's creative director for women's clothing. With the collection she served to the audience something we can call exclusive practicality. It is largely a nod to the post-pandemic visions of holidays. Let us add - a vision of luxurious travel and such a vision of seclusion in the wild and escaping from the city.

As the brand notices, Vanhee-Cybulski wants to revive the city girl with functional clothing, a utilitarian look adapted - at least at first glance - to hiking in the open air.

Luxurious clothing should not be the first choice for an adventure with nature. Vanhee-Cybulski is aware of this and she gave lightness to her proposals at the expense of usability in drastic conditions. She focused on sandy beiges and shades of brown with shades representing the morning, painting an image of a middle-class holiday getaway.

The show started with a set of leather suits and windbreakers in colors referring to the desert colors.

In the collection we have a raincoat with a technical fabric back with a breathable mesh underneath and a poncho with a hood made of soft leather. There are useful elements - an elastic string used to connect elements of dresses, as well as slim dresses with comfortable zippers.

Hermès przy okazji damskiej kolekcji na wiosnę 2023 roku zabrał swój luksus na wyimaginowaną pustynię. Rave na pustyni – to przewodni koncept jaki wprowadziła na wybieg Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski, dyrektor kreatywna marki ds. odzieży damskiej. Kolekcja zaserwowała publiczności coś co możemy nazwać ekskluzywną praktycznością. To w znacznym stopniu ukłon w stronę postpandemicznych wizji wakacji. Dopowiedzmy – wizji luksusowych podróży, i takiej wizji odosobnienia w dziczy i ucieczki z miasta.

Jak zauważa branża, Vanhee-Cybulski chce ożywić miejską dziewczynę za pomocą użytkowej odzieży, utylitarnego looku przystosowanego – przynajmniej na pierwszy rzut oka - do wędrówek na świeżym powietrzu.

Luksusowa odzież raczej nie powinna być pierwszym wyborem na przygodę z naturą. Vanhee-Cybulski zdaje sobie z tego sprawę i nadała swym propozycjom lekkości kosztem użyteczności w drastycznych warunkach. Skoncentrowała się na piaskowych beżach i odcieniach brązu z odcieniami reprezentującymi poranek malując obraz wakacyjnej ucieczki klasy średniej.

Pokaz rozpoczął set skórzanych kombinezonów i wiatrówek w kolorystyce nawiązującej do pustynnych barw.

W kolekcji mamy płaszcz przeciwdeszczowy z tyłem z tkaniny technicznej z przewiewną siateczką pod spodem i ponczo z kapturem z miękkiej skóry. Są użytkowe elementy - elastyczny sznurek służący do łączenia elementów sukienek, a także smukłe sukienki z wygodnymi zamkami błyskawicznymi.

Son goût pour les belles matières, les volumes et l’épuré s’est affuté lors de ses précédentes collaborations avec des marques prestigieuses: de 2005 à 2008, Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski a fait ses classes chez Martin Margiela, avant de travailler aux côtés de Phoebe Philo chez Céline, ensuite chez The Row. “Son talent et ses exploits créatifs passés seront une grande force pour le développement de la ligne prêt-à-porter”, s’était félicité en Juillet 2014 Axel Dumas. Aujourd’hui, le président d’@Hermès peut être fier du choix audacieux de la modéliste française, diplômée en 2003 de l’Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts d’Anvers. Emile-Maurice #Hermès est le véritable fondateur de la maison. Pourquoi ? Sous sa direction, les fondamentaux d’Hermès ont vu le jour, et grâce à sa persévérance dans l’innovation la fermeture zippée est apparue sur nos vêtements. Il a installé la maison à son adresse définitive, elle aussi symbolique : le 24 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, à Paris. Et il étend la signature Hermès à la maroquinerie “cousue sellier” et ajoute de nombreux domaine à ses activités professionnelles : écharpes de soie, ceintures, gants, bijoux, bracelets-montres… Et le prêt-à-porter dans tout ça ? Hermès devient couturier au début des années 1920 avec une casaque en daim boutonnée pour premier vêtement. Emile-Maurice s’inspire de l’élégance des cavaliers pour concevoir ses lignes. La nouvelle directrice artistique du prêt-à-porter féminin a défait les sensations. Avec brio, sans conformismes, Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski se réclame d'un projet poétique, non loin de ce que Christophe Lemaire son prédécesseur avait tracé, d’une mode plus épurée, où la matière guide la silhouette vers une allure intemporelle et aérienne. _
