Day 18: Human Version of the Turtles

My attempt at Human Donnie from @indieyuugure ’s Mutation Situation.

I might not remember much about 2012 and will have to give it a rewatch (I binged it all a while ago but it just blurred together and I barely caught a thing), but I do know that this is one of the more interesting 2012 fan made comics I’ve seen. (It stands right beside Frightclaw’s crossover comic to me.)

I highly recommend it. It’s going really well (*crossing my fingers because of course there’s no angst going on. No, no. You can’t tell me I’m lying*).

Yes the pose is by mellon_soup very obviously.

Day 15 of NinjagoVDay2024

I know I fell way behind on these but that’s because I finally updated my fic “Hidden Among the Wind” a while ago. I’d say it’s going well.

Anyways, Sam is definitely the kind to throw herself into danger to protect others so of course, Big Sis Sam had to be shown here. She gets hurt and Cole’s the one patching her up and saying “you know.. you were actually kinda cool out there.”

This would be some time before Cole ever confesses to Sam and he just sounds like Shang from Mulan with the same “you fight good” line. XD You know he would.

Day 19: Best Casey Jones

03 Casey is such a himbo. Like absolutely dumb himbo but April loves him very much and you have no idea how excited I get every time I see these two interact while knowing they’re canonically getting married. Last two days of TMNTTober 2023 and just in time for National TMNT Day!

I still have no idea how to do backgrounds (not like I did back in middle school I have no idea what happened in between now and then.) but I do hope to eventually draw an actual inter-dimensional diner for the Turtles to be in.

Day 2: Favorite April

I couldn't pick between the two girl bosses! I mean all Aprils' are girl bosses but I know 03 April the best and Rise April is just so fun!

I mean look at them. They're both judging someone as we know it. It's probably their Caseys already starting a fight somewhere. Are they fighting each other or someone else? Who knows, but we do know they'd be one-upping each other.

Day 13: Best Don

Behold my 03 AU version of Don.

Honestly he’s still the same Donny and he wasn’t going to have stripes but then he just felt naked without them. (I’m definitely going to have to fix them again later.)

And yes he has pants on. It’s a color inverted version of the ninja suit concept. I will draw those suits one day!

@littlemissartemisia I had to draw little Mage Misa from this ask with Wizard Don. I can't stop drawing her. She's just so cute and so little.

I didn’t know where to put her little scepter but let’s just pretend that they’re going on a journey to get it back TTRPG style.

I still firmly believe Don would be an Artificer instead of a Wizard in any DND-like game. You know he’d probably get something made just to blow someone up. (So he’d be just as dangerous as a wizard with a fireball spell ready.)

And behold Mr. Spiky Pants himself on Day 18’s prompt. I tried to do something that Rise Shredder did, you know that glow in the dark thing but unfortunately I know nothing of making anything glow. In fact he looks more translucent than anything but at least I’m good at armor.

Day 23: Favorite Human Ally

Angel’s definitely one of my favorite human allies in 03. Honestly would’ve picked Zack from 87 if I ever found a good enough pose for him.

Sometimes I still associate her with that one Lovecraftian episode and it’s because of that I got into other Lovecraftian things. I’m watching gameplay of The Sinking City now actually.

@littlemissartemisia I did it!

This was actually kinda fun to do. I can confirm that throughout the time I was making this, I was listening to CG5’s Sleep Well track.

Don’t ask me why, but it just felt like it fits, especially the lines “Though life in the shadows isn’t much / It’s better than living in a cage.” I was gonna fit the lyrics in but decided not to since it would’ve messed with the stars. (First time I ever switched between different brushes actually. It’s nice.)

The whole song and premise of the Hour of Joy in Poppy Playtime does fit multiple OCs backstories like Isabella, Velia, Attilio, etc/any OC that’ll be an easter egg. (I might just end up tossing Misa somewhere in the future of my 2k3 AU mostly because I’ve been hearing Velia/mama rat saying “You four look an awful lot like the little one we rescued.” And the guys just go see what she’s talking about.)

Day 17: Best Mikey

I did not mean to fall behind a small bit but goddamn! Mikey was needlessly confusing me, but hey that’s the most Mikey thing he’d do.

I was trying so hard to combine two different versions of Mikey into one (cause the Fortnite designs honestly look so fun) and I was going to do 03 Mikey’s hoverboard before I discovered the Driftboard from Fortnite.

I’m still figuring out the stripes for my version of 03 Mikey, but I do know I want them reminiscent of a Kabuki mask or Kitsune markings (you know like theater/trickster vibes).

Day 16: Favorite Episode

This may as well be a late Mother’s Day picture and something for MerMay as well.

I know it’s quite a gamble trying to figure out my favorite episode from all of 2003. However this is one that’ll always stick with me the most.

I mean. Just imagine it. The merpeople were originally slaves to Y’Lyntians. They finally get themselves free after who knows how long and for a long time, they were happy before their waters, their home was overran by pollution and slowly they were dying off.

I can only guess the other merman were trying to keep her safe but then she was desperate enough to go to the surface, a place that had done nothing but brought pain to her people whether directly or not, just to get help.

Granted she found it but she found it in her last moments. She’ll never really know if her young were ever saved. We, the audience and by extension the mermen, know, but she never will.
