I find it Funny that the rise fandom either sees Splinter as a " Amazing And Caring Father" Or Sees him as a " Abusive Psychopath that gave his adopted children trauma."
Apparently when my younger brother was just born my mom found him napping with his blanket fully covering him, and she pulled back the sheet (worried he couldn't breathe or something) to find him fully awake staring at her. It scared the shit out of her and she still talks about it to this day lmao
At the end of the episode, Splinter still saves Karai, but she doesn’t fall into the sewers (a blatant excuse to further my big sis Karai agenda, and give her more time with the family) Also, each new batch of worms is stronger than the next, so that’s why Splinter’s healing hands work on Karai but not Donnie 🤫 not at all because convenient shhh.
If the Shredder were to recycle using the brainworm on one of the turtles, I think he would put in a failsafe. He obviously wouldn’t use this feature with Karai, but he’d have no qualms about using it on Donnie.
yup! its an actual thing now, i finally ironed out the story beats so this is a proper au/rewrite of the aftermath of season 2, im looking foward to posting more art and comics abt it, but please dont expect a full comic or fic
however asks are more than welcomed! i have a lot of stuff prepared for it and i wanted a proper cover to announce it dsfj
(i wanted to add some symbolism to everyones line of sight, not sure if its noticeable
After realizing Mutant Mayhem Don wasn’t the youngest, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own iteration baby >:]]
After a horrible experiment, Hamato Shen— now known as Master Splinter,— finds himself the caretaker of mutant turtles infused with the blood of his late wife, Yoshi. Collecting four in the span of years, he raises them in the sewers, hoping they’d live a peaceful life.
But of course, peace doesn’t last forever— not when they almost blow up half the city fighting a villain they stumbled across for the third time.
TLDR; Papa Splints has the misfortune of raising teens with the chaotic neutral energy of a DnD Party.
when you were just a little rat, small, curious, helpless, but you were shown care, love, and safety. then you witnessed the murder of the people who took you in, saw the cruelty of the world. the aftermath found you in the sewer, suddenly intelligent and mutated with four small baby turtles. so you took care of them, and tried to raise them, even though you were just learning how to be a person yourself. despite your best try to keep them all safe, the world is harsh and cruel… if you had the choice they would have never had to struggle and hurt like this….
Got sick and was watching some 2003 and got to “The Journal” (episode 13, season 6) and couldn’t help but laugh at the lengths that not one but two Master Splinters have gone to teach their dumb boys lessons.
(I’m sure there are more examples in other shows but these two REALLY stuck out to me 🤣)
