Carnival | Chenle and Jisung

Pairing: Chenle X Reader (gender neutral), Jisung X Reader (gender neutral) ft. Dreamies

Genre: cute fluffff

Author’s Note: HC suggested by my friend and I instantly thought of these two uwu

Chenle:

His smile never left his face with all the excitement he felt finally being able to come here and bring you with him

The first time you two had gotten together was after the carnival left down so he was determined to come this year with you

He of course bought the two of you the fast bands so there was a small queue for any ride

He rode all of them and insisted on riding with you but respected your decision if you didn’t want to ride some

He didn’t force you out of your comfort zone

The two of you slowly weaves through the carnival from the front to the back

When it got hot and your stomachs were rumbling, he happily brought you to the food stands that lined with so many delicious foods: freshly squeezed lemonades, popcorn, cotton candy, fried ice cream, funnel cake, pizza

The list goes on but the two of you shared a small pizza and drank some refreshing soda

His hand never left yours as the two of you walked from one thing to the next

He constantly talked to you about how fun or cool this ride was, giving you a full in depth review and it was pretty fun to hear

Chenle came to the carnival every year it came and he had mastered a route of what day to come, what order to ride things in

He played many of the games in the stalls like blasting the water gun to race the horse or pop a balloon to win you a stuffed animal, paid for the two of you to try to climb the giant (rigged) ladder that you two had to balance on

Also played the basketball game and the shoot the balloons one with a toy gun

He was a man of many talents and winning these games was for sure one of them

But your arms were getting full with how many things he won you so he asked one of the passing employees if they could hold all of the stuffed animals for you at the front

They called a wagon over and gave Chenle a special ticket to give to the front before leaving to collect his items

This was a hack he was able to pick up after seeing someone do the same a couple years back and he never really got the chance to do it until now

Ecstatic that it worked

You could hear his (maniacal) dolphin laughter as he laughed or yelled on the more extreme rides, unafraid of letting his voice he heard

But no thrill could replace the one he felt of riding something with you because he could see how much fun you were having being there and he loved to be there with you

And of course, for the last ride, he brought you on the Ferris wheel since there was a firework show

He was worried throughout because of how slow it was going and hoped it wouldn’t start until you guys were almost at the top

It had to be perfect since he wanted you to have the best view and experience and fortunately, you were

The two of you sat closely watching all the bright colors so clear and vibrant in the sky, seeing how small and crowded everyone else was

Since it was a show too, the Ferris wheel stopped right when you were declining back down, but still pretty high up, allowing you to just sit back and watch the magical show happen

He took candid pictures of you admiring the fireworks and cherished this day with you, satisfied with how it was able to end the way he dreamed

Jisung:

He invited you to spend some together at this new little carnival that was coming and you happily agreed, making his heart race

The dreamies went along since they weren’t having a comeback coming up or anything so he was nervous sitting in the van with you and then knowing how easily they could flame him and embarrass him in front of you

But Renjun and Jaemin was able to put Haechan and Chenle in his place while Jeno just watched the show like normal

When you all got there, he walked next to you and he felt so conflicted internally. He wanted to hold your hand but this also meant the ultimate signal to the others to clown him

But he was willing to endure it so he could hold your hand so as the two of you walked forward first, he could hear the silent squeals and smacks behind but didn’t dare look back

He got bands for the two of you from the managers who bought them and the two of you were off first until eventually followed of course by the others

He was super shy first despite you two being together for a while now but he just needs time to open up

Chenle kept insisting on him riding the extreme rides with him and tried to make him look bad by calling him lame in front of you but his heart swelled in his chest when you defended him from the other’s antics

But when you wanted to try on them, he mustered up the courage to do it, regretting it a bit after

“I thought my heart was gonna burst riding that,” he said as he began to open himself up, having fun with you and his closest friends

You all rode the high swings and the two of you sat as a pair together, leaving Haechan to ride by himself after losing the game with the other dreamies

The two of you held on to each other’s hands tightly trying not to think too much about the height and just took in the view of the carnival grounds and the city in the distance

But he also had more fun on those small games like the hall of mirrors and walking through the funhouse

Refused to go through the haunted house with the others and it was fine since you stayed out with him and the two of you took pictures together, laughing at all the screaming you could hear coming from inside

When it was time for lunch, the two of you were able to order get your foods first since you two didn’t go in the haunted house

The two of you sat beside each other under the umbrella at the table and took pictures of each other with the food. Heat spread over his cheeks and his ears turned red when they all emerged from the haunted house, their voices loud

But as the day went on, you were all able to have fun together

He was really happy he asked you in the first place and this also meant the others getting to see you too

You all had fun and he competed with others playing the games, winning stuffed animals form themselves and also for you but mostly Jisung who did his best to win you some and your favorite was the teddy bear he was finally able to win with the help of Jeno and Jaemin guiding him

He would ask if you liked the ride afterward or if you liked the food you just took a bite out of, hoping you did

It was one of the most memorable day for him out of the year since it was spent in good spirits with the best people in this life

Everything was so fun, especially at the end towards the back of the carnival where there was a farm with cows, bunnies, sheep, pigs, and even more snacks and things to eat and try

Everyone took pictures with all the animals and you all pet them

He loved the bunnies the most and showed you one after the other and how long some of their ears were or how red their eyes were that kind of creeped him out, scrunching his nose to look like them and took pictures with them

And for one of the final things, you all got ice cream made with the milk by the cows there and it was one of the best ice creams you all had since it was so fresh and tasty

Walking out of the carnival was one of his favorite parts since the sky was so beautiful with the cool shades of blue with orange and red in the distance where the burning sun was disappearing beyond the horizon and all the colorful lights were illuminated on all the rides

He couldn’t have asked for a better day

“HEY NO GO BACK” I yell at Hyuck because he can never seem to follow simple instructions. Everyone around us watching us play FIFA or on their phones, I know a few are in the kitchen doing whatever but right now I am trying to focus on kicking the other team’s ass.

“Hey I just wanted to give everyone a heads up, my sister is stopping by in a few” Taeyong yelled over the noise in the living room.

“Didn’t she just move back?” Mark called from the kitchen, why is everyone yelling out of nowhere, wait he has a sister?

“Is this the sister that Johnny thirsts after” Jaehyun chuckled out and nudged Johnny.

*SMACK*

“HEY, THAT HURT” Jaehyun whined.

“How old is she?” Sicheng called from the couch.

“HoW oLd iS SHe? What are you, 12???” Hyuck mocked him. Okay, now that was funny!

“I do not THIRST after her.” Johnny clears his name to the group.

“You cried when taeyong took her back to her hotel room because you couldn’t.” Ten laughed out, making everyone else start laughing with him.

“I WAS EMOTIONAL THAT DAY!” Johnny whined, with his face getting red.

“AS I WAS SAYING, shes going to come over and we are probably going to go to dinner so whoever wants to, can come.” he invites loudly so everyone can hear.

“ILL GO” Johnny screeched, standing up just for Ten to put his arm in front of him,

“First of all Johnny, Hyung said ‘come’ not ‘cum’ and secondly, you have a recording session with donghyuck, jaehyun, and I at 4 o’clock,” he said in response.

“When you try your best but you don’t succeeeeeddddd” Lucas starts yelling and Sicheng joins in, everyone laughing at Johnny all over again, myself included.

“I’m going to go get ready, everyone better have CLOTHES ON! IM LOOKING AT YOU JOHNNY!” Hyung yells leaving the room.

*Johnny cries in zipper*

“Hyung, has a sister?” I ask Ten, keeping my eyes trained on my player.

“Yeah, you and a few other members were busy with a photo shoot the last time she visited, remember?” he recalled, looking back at his phone.

Oh, I never really focused on it I guess.

“SHES HERE!” Hyung yells from his room.

*CHAOS ENTERS CHAT*

“JOHNNY IS DYING HELP!” Mark yells from the kitchen and everyone starts laughing al over again. Taeyong runs through the living room and opens the door as everyone crowds into the living room to greet her.

“Y/N!!!!!” he yells and covers her in a tight embrace. Wow, she’s a little thing, slim thick with your cute as-

“YONGIE!!!” she cheers back into his arms. AWWW even her voice is cute what the FUCK.

“Wait, is everyone here?? Wow!” she steps back, her eyes widening at the group, you can definitely tell shes hyung’s sister. Her eyes are so big, she looks like a little doll. I can finally understand the hype on Johnny’s part.

“Yeah, you haven’t met everyone yet,” Taeyong replied, guiding her further into the living room.

“Everyone this is y/n!” he presented to the class. Her little form bending to greet us all in unison.

“Hello! I’m a very big fan of the group! You all are so great! Especially this recent comeback! I have so much respect for you all!” she said sweetly, her smile is so heart-melting that everyone can’t help but smile back. It’s almost infectious.

“She’s so sweet” Sicheng coos.

“Look how cute” Lucas whispers.

“Johnny stop drooling!” Ten elbows.

“Y/n it’s so good to see you! You moved back finally!” Mark exclaimed, pulling her into his embrace. Are they a thing?

“Hey, Mark! It’s so good to see you too! And yeah ill text you my address so we can hang out again!” she states casually.

“AGAIN?! WHAT H-” Johnny’s voice being covered by Taeyong’s glare.

“Hey y/n! I’ve missed you so much, no one likes to go shopping much with me but you! So as soon as you get settled and arent too busy I’m treating you to a day of shopping!”

“I’ve missed you so much too Ten! Facetiming just isn’t the same and I would LOVE to go shopping! I can’t tell you the last time a man spoiled me!” she giggled out and I nearly choked. I say nearly because Johnny audibly choked and everyone laughed at him...AGAIN

“Hey y/n...do the thing I’ve been telling everyone about it, please!!! He has been acting like a total spaz since he heard about you coming back to Seoul.” Ten whispered to her.

“Cmon Ten, I can’t be that mean to him!” she whined out like a little puppy.

“Pleaseeeee?” he whined back.

“Fine,” he huffed out.

“Johnny?” she called, looking around past the group of boys until they met in gaze, he looks like he’s about to piss himself.

“Johnny!” she squealed, running to him and jumping into his arms. HIs huge form completely engulfing her, lucky little asshol-

“I think I missed you the most, you big teddy bear!” she muffled into his chest, his face turning a keen shade of red.

“I missed you too y/n!” he almost cried, is he smelling her hair?! She slowly unwrapped herself from him, waiting to be released, and she never was.

Taeyong stepping in to pull his sister from the giant as she winks at Ten and everyone laughing.

“So Johnny, why didn’t you call? I thought you missed me huh?” she pouted as she trailed her little finger down his chest flirtatiously. What a minx, no wonder Johnny was such a simp.

“I uh my um the Yong, I mean I’m aakjhladks I’m sorry, I gotta go to the restroom.” he blurted out, turning red all over again and leaving the room. God, so blatantly sexy, has a sense of humor, and she is so sweet I feel like I need a dentist on speed dial. WHAT A WOMAN LADIES AND GENTS.

“Y/n you remember Haechan and Doyoung right?” Hyung asks her, pointing them out as they wave.

“Of course! Hey!” she smiles and waves back at them, look at her so innocent and friendly.

“Hey, y/n I love your bracelet!” Hyuck tells her.

“Aww, thanks, Channie! And how are you holding up these days Doyoung?” she asks.

“I’m barely managing but thank you y/n.” Doyoung smiles at her, heading back to the kitchen. She’s so dainty and pretty, is it bad I just want to kiss her face. Her hair looks so soft and her voice sounds like butter. What the hell is wrong with me??

“I’ve been working on this for a little while so I think I’ve got it down pat, let me try,” she tapped her finger to her cheek, making her way over to all of us.

“You are Jungwoo, the sweet voice that also is always hungry?” she asked and smiled at him.

“HAHA yeah, hello hi!” he chucked and bowed to her, politely.

“Oh my lord, such an aegyo face!” she cheered at him as he posed for her, what a ham.

“You are Sicheng! Your voice is great! Your hair looks amazing by the way!” she greeted.

“Awww thanks! It’s so nice meeting you y/n!” he smiled and bowed to her.

“Taeil! Wow, your aura is just as striking in person!” she exclaimed getting to Taeil.

“Thank you! You look just like Taeyong but prettier!” he complimented with a bow.

“I get that a lot, especially with the hair. I like to see what colors work on him and use them to my advantage!” she laughed out. A sudden throat cleaning gets the attention Jaehyun is asking for

“And the notorious Jaehyun, who could miss such a face!” she smiles to him, he boldly grabs her hand and gives her a soft kiss to her knuckles.

“The gorgeous Y/n. I’m so sorry I had to leave so early last time,” he speaks softly to her, who does this handsome man think he is???

“Oh, its no problem at all! I understand really, I love your comeback photos by the way! The theme really suited you.” she complimented again.

“God, she is so hot! Do you think Taeyong would mind me getting her number?” Lucas whispered to Kun as everyone else was distracted.

“Hey man, that’s his sister!” Kun commanded.

“I know that’s why I said do you think he would mind. I mean she is so hot, I could cry!” he whispered back to him, no longer paying attention to the fact that she was now listening in as they were turned away from her.

“I think you’re very attractive too Lucas,” she whispered like she was in on the secrets passing between their lips. Kun and Lucas jumped so high she laughed and so did I. (HOw could you not when seeing this unfold).

“Oh my god! I am so sorry about him. Hello, I’m Kun and this is-”

“Lucas, of course, I’m actually a really big fan.” she smiled to him as he smiled back

“Oh really? Say less?” he chuckled lowly and started looking her up and down.

“DOWN LUCAS!” Yongie called out.

“Yes, WayV is actually my second favorite band entirely.”

“Oh, that’s cool! You should meet the rest of us then!” Kun added in, getting his phone out like Lucas.

“We should so do that!” she smiled.

“Here just give me yo-” Lucas fades into the background now… She’s looking at me... Her big doe eyes staring into mine. I feel my heart just drop to my balls. Her perfect form walking softly up to me, a gift of presence, really.

“And of course you are Yuta.” she smiles shyly at me.

“Hello! It’s nice to meet you y/n!” I say with the most genuine smile I think I’ve ever made.

“I think I’m a bigger fan of yours than Taeyongie’s! I was so sad I couldn’t meet you the first time!” she starts speaking to me sweetly and happily. Wait,

“You speak Japanese?” I ask, catching my jaw from its home now on the floor.

“Yongie didn’t tell you?” she quirked in confusion, looking at him and back at me.

“No, he just said that you moved back here, he never said anything else.” I chuckled in surprise, her pronunciation is so native-like. I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve heard such a clear pronunciation from a foreigner.

“He’s such a dummy, I just recently graduated with a major in Japanese Literature from the University of Tokyo. I’ve been living there for almost 5 years.” she giggled.

“You have no idea how happy I am to finally talk to someone in MY language! This feels like a breath of fresh air. That is so cool! He never said a word about it.” I ramble on, wondering how someone could dePRIVE ME OF SUCH HAPPINESS.

“It’s okay, I assumed he would either brag or neglect it altogether. I’m glad you enjoy the natural conversation if you ever just want to talk or vent in a way that’s easier for you, I’m always here! That’s if you want too…” she mumbled shyly, was that blush on her cheeks? God, she is so adorable.

“Of course yeah! I would love to talk more with you. Do you think it would be too much to ask for your number?” I asked, rubbing my hand on the back of my neck.

“Yes, Yongie can I have a pen?” she turns to her brother. With a confused face and everyone looking at her weirdly, he gives her the pen.

“All my friends back hom- well back in Tokyo all my friends call me Yua, so if that’s easier on the tongue you can call me that…” she recalled while writing her number on my palm.

“I’ll definitely text you later, is that okay?” I asked, looking at my palm and back at her.

“Can’t wait, it’s really nice meeting you Yuta.” she looked deeply into my eyes and took all my breath away.

“It’s nice meeting you too, Yua.” I smiled back.

“So Taeyong, show me your room so I can steal my beloved plush back!” she turned and call to Hyung.

NCT Frat Social Media AU // College Athlete & Fratboy Lucas x reader

You were grumbling and cold. For some reason you had decided to wear just a sweater to meet Hyunjin at Chan’s apartment. The sun was shining when you walked over and you stupidly thought it would be shining when you left. Spoiler alert it was not and the temperature had significantly dropped so now you were freezing as midnight neared on your walk across campus. As much as you loved the moon and the stars you hated being cold, which was a partially because you were constantly attached to your heating pad and anything that could keep your muscles relaxed. Of course you could’ve taken Chan’s jacket when he offered but that was accepting defeat and you weren’t ready to do that. So armed with your still warm leftovers, you trudged across the arctic tundra clutching you oversized sweater closer, angrily muttering under your breath.

The first time your phone rang, you were too busy being overdramatic about the cold to notice. It wasn’t until the second call that you picked up, not entirely sure why Mark was trying so hard to contact you when you were positive he was already drunk with his boyfriend. And boyfriend meant he didn’t have to stumble to your dorms after the party was over, he could just stay with his boyfriend.

Alright so it was the second time tonight that you were regretting bad decisions and having friends. First you get the swim boys to move the pasta party to Chan’s apartment and forget a coat, then Mark and his dumb boyfriend drag you into looking for a “very drunk” missing Lucas. Apparently he had disappeared out of the party after downing a little too much beer and whining something incomprehensible that included your name. Enough guilt tripping and the demon Haechan had you searching in the cold on campus, STILL without your jacket. It didn’t matter how heavy your sweater, the wind was cutting right down to your bones. The two lovebirds claimed to also be looking for the oversized basketball player but you had a sinking suspicion that they weren’t and this was some setup.

If only you had gone home earlier, instead of passing out in the middle of a movie with Hyunjin and Chan. You would already be fast asleep and unable to respond to what Haechan started calling “markhyuck.”

Wrapped up in the excess fabric of your sweater you ventured toward the only place on campus you thought Lucas Wong might go: the practice courts. If there was one thing you learned about him in the last month, it was that he truly loved basketball. These courts were his comfort place, in fact he had told you that himself, and if something was weighing on his mind you had a hunch that’s where he would be. At least that’s how you used to be with the pool.

Sure enough the closer you got, you noticed warm light flooding out onto the cold bare sidewalk through a crack in the side door. Upon further inspection there seemed to be a concrete brick propping the door open like someone had been coming and going. Considering all the other basketball players were no doubt back at the NCT party, that left one sports dude left to be the intruder.

Quietly you snuck through the door making sure the brick remained in place. There you found yourself in the back equipment room, though it was narrow and skinny like a hallway, a very unorganized hallway. This is when you were positive it was Lucas in the building; you could hear him mimicking the cheers of a crowd loudly followed by the heavy hits of a basketball on polished wood floor. At least you knew Haechan wasn’t lying about Lucas sneaking away. Though you were skeptical of why you were here and not someone who knew the star better, wouldn’t Jaehyun or some other member of the basketball team be better suited to this task. You were just a one night stand who also happened to be his school tutor.

There hopefully NCT would dispatch someone to pick up their lost brother so you didn’t have to walk him across campus to a bustling NCT house as midnight neared or deal with his drunk ass. Despite common belief, ‘aka’ your friends, you really weren’t good at taking care of drunk people you just kinda tossed a water bottle their way and let them sleep it off. You weren’t really a caregiver, another reason why you shouldn’t be the one looking for Lucas.

When you finally saw the giant goof in question, an uncontrollable smile split across your face and for the first few seconds you didn’t even realize you were grinning from ear to ear. This tended to happen whenever you were around him, hence the reason you replaced it with a neutral expression the moment you felt your cheeks tire. There was just something about him that was unbelievably contagious, a happiness.

As for the boy in question, he was at the halfway line on the court making a surprising amount of shots for someone who was clearly drunk. Every shot he made was accompanied by fake cheers and every involved another drink from a clear water bottle that you didn’t have to smell to know it wasn’t water.

“Hey you big dork, isn’t it a little late to practicing?” You yelled from across the courts, your arms cross and your hip popped out. The attitude was practically rolling off you as a smirk played across your face.

The minute his giant brown puppy eyes landed they widened, filled with a childish sort of joy as he practically screamed, “Y/N!” Before you could respond he propelled himself across the two courts separating you and forced you into a hug, the basketball long forgotten behind him. “You came!” You stood there shocked and unmoving for what seemed like forever. The last thing you were expecting was a hug from him, you hadn’t really touched him since Halloween, not even an accidental brush. You weren’t purposefully avoiding him but it just seemed easy to keep your hands off after sleeping with him on Halloween. Didn’t want to give him the wrong impression, or at least that’s why you told yourself. “Wait why did you come?”

Pushing him away, though it took more effort than you expected, you made a disgusted expression and cried out, “Ew Lucas you’re all sweaty--” The minute contact broke between the two of you it was like all feeling returned to your body and you immediately when to brush off some invisible specks of dust, though really it was just an excuse to get your nervous energy out-- “and you’re drunk.”

The big basketball player retreated like a kicked puppy when you pushed him off, his eyes filled with a sadness that was had unintended consequences for you. It was like something was eating at your insides, something that felt suspiciously like guilt. In fact you felt so horrible that you very nearly pulled him into another hug just to get that look out of his eyes, especially when he let out a little whine, “Y/n do you like me?”

The color drained from your face, what kind of question is that? Oh course you liked him, you won’t have started tutoring again if you didn’t like him. But something told you that wasn’t the kind of “like” he was asking about; you weren’t ready to give him that answer and you couldn’t bear to cause any more of that sadness.

Where was the NCT member to pick up this oversized teddy bear?

Plopping down to the ground next to you, he got very quiet and murmured, “I knew it. I’m sorry for bothering you.” It was pitiful watching him hunch into ground, his limbs all splayed out as he fiddled with the cuffs on his long sleeved shirt.

It sent a pang directly through your heart. Is that what he thought? Why did he think you didn’t like him? Sinking down next to him, you hesitantly reached out to pat him on the shoulder, wincing at how awkward you were. “You’re not bothering me.” Your movements were uncomfortable and gawky. See you weren’t really a touch feeling person. In fact the only time you ever gave in was when one of your friends would drunken stumble to your room in the middle of the night. It was nearly impossible to pry them away in the middle of their sleep. “I like you being around you.”

Staring down at the floor he very quietly responded, “They why do you keep running away from me?”

“Running away from you?” you answered incredulously. Lately you were spending more time with him then your longtime friends, even if you had to leave early from a migraine or some other complication. Running away from him was the last thing you were doing.

But that didn’t seem to make him any less sad, in fact now he was looking at you with those big brown eyes, pausing to stare at where your hand rested on his shoulder, “Every time I’m around you it’s like you can’t wait to get away. I bet you even want to leave now.”

Letting out a slightly uncomfortable laugh you attempted to ease the situation with a bit of humor of your own, “Didn’t peg you as clingy, player.” That was definitely not the right thing to say because it DID NOT lighten the mood and now you felt even more awkward. The look in his eyes made you feel like a villain for hurting him.

“Even at the ice cream shop you were eager to leave, I thought we were having fun.” You went to protest, of course you were having fun that’s why you invited him, but he grew so quiet that you almost didn’t think he was breathing for a moment. A quiet Lucas was never a good sign, he was quite possibly one of the loudest people you had ever met, surprisingly that was one of the things you liked about him: he’s over the top personality. “And Halloween, I know I’m not supposed to talk about it but I can’t stop thinking about it. I thought you were going to stay until morning, I thought I would get to spend the night with you…”

Ah so that’s what this was about. You didn’t realize he took it so hard. Sure wrapped up in his arms you may have promised to stay until morning but then you could feel the pain starting to settle in and you had to get home. It was nice to have a break, filled with enough pain relievers to make the night bearable, but this was your life and a few moments off didn’t stop the pain from coming back. It was dumb to think you could stay until morning, you didn’t get to feel normal like that no matter how much you wanted.

When you looked back up from the ground he was searching your face for some kinds of answer but you couldn’t give him what he needed, as big as those puppy dog eyes got. “Were you uncomfortable? Did I take advantage of you?” You could see water starting to pool in his eyes and you were absolutely positive if you couldn’t handle his sad eyes then you could NOT handle him crying. “I’m so sorry y/n. I’m so so sorry.”

This poor, poor big baby: how long had he been holding this is? Not sure what prompted it, you reached out to hold his face gently in one hand and let out another little laugh at his thought, “Don’t be sorry. You didn’t take advantage of me, I wanted to be there with you. Please don’t apologize when you didn’t do anything wrong. Thank you for spending the night with me.” If anything you should apology for leaving him there to think he was a horrible person. Maybe you should’ve just taken the stairs.

“Why did you leave then?” He relaxed into your touch, his head nuzzling down into your palm. This little action sent a warmth cascading through your hand into your chest, so surprisingly that you’re lucky he was too drunk to notice the change in you. “What did I do?”

“Nothing Lucas, you did nothing. I had to leave,” you’re not sure why but suddenly tears were starting to well up in your eyes too. Maybe you needed just as much alcohol to get down to the bottom of this sadness that had sprung up inside. Had you really had this much of a profound impact on him? “I had to, it didn’t have anything to do with you.” Did you tell him that you felt it too? That when you spend the night talking you were feeling just as drawn to him. “Please don’t overthink it.” No. It wouldn’t do either of you good to admit you wanted to stay.

“So do you like me?” He asked again but this time he was clearly asking the question you didn’t want to answer.

“I think it’s time for you to go to bed buddy.” You diverted, hooking elbows with him to get the reluctant giant off the floor of the gym. Time to go to sleep, these weren’t questions you were going to answer. Friends don’t ask friends that kind of question.

You grimaced, looking up from your phone to the drunk boy next to you. His arm was interlaced with yours and a significant portion of his weight was supported by you despite the fact that he towered over you. You were getting really good at guiding oversized drunk boys. There was no way you could get him back to the NCT house and his bed alone, and it seemed that none of your friends were answering their phones. That left you one option, other than leaving him here to sleep in the practice courts alone, which you think about, your dorm.

There was no doubt that desk attendant was judging you with how many drunk men you were bringing up to your rooms. Hopefully she wouldn’t call Lucas an Oppa though, it was hard enough to hear it about Johnny you didn’t need it about the cute boy you were tutoring too.

honestly, like, he loves to scream and let everyone know of his presence

he’s just having fun and nobody can say no to that big baby when he gives his infamous puppy pout and begs a little

he practically loves bugging all of his friends because he knows he can get away with it

moms taeyong and doyoung are always on edge whenever he walks into a room with them because they know... they know that something is probably gonna be broken

well....... everyone except you

you’re practically the third parent or older sibling figure in the entire nct group alongside doyoung and taeyoung

you mainly tend to the dreamies because hOW? CaN? yoU? RESisT? THem?

they all kind of view you as the kind of strict parent, but you can be super cool

they all brag about you taking such good care of them but also it’s like a competition to see who’s the favorite out of all six of ‘em

jisung even plays the baby card and runs to you whenever the other boys are teasing him a lot or scaring him with fake cockroaches or even intentionally grabbing something fragile so you run over and take it from him and tell him

(he can do such a great impression of you at this point) ‘don’t touch this, you’ll break it’

mark tries to outdo him but it never works since you always say that you’re not taeyong or doyoung and he gets kind of upset but that’s another reason why he loves you because you’re not taeyong and doyoung and let him have some frEEDOM!!

but only sometimes and then he feels betrayed

you love doting on the boys and protecting them

but sometimes it feels like too much and they have to casually let you know because they don’t want to seem ungrateful or hurt your feelings

usually they bear with it because they’re used to you and adore you as well

two new friends joined the family and you were immediately accepting of jungwoo because he was like a soft flower and you swear your inner voice was screaming at you to protect him at all costs

but there was yukhei

and he was basically forcing everyone to call him lucas for some reason

you thought it was kind of weird and found his large amount of energy kind of overbearing, so you decided to wait until you got used to him

but he kept getting in your space and being super loud

he wasn’t even talking directly to you and it was just super uncomfortable

you wouldn’t have minded all that much at the time BUT he started roughhousing with jaemin and you found yourself storming over there and everyone knew that he was in for an earful

when you got into his face this time he was super stoic and looked like he didn’t really care and that you were kind of a nuisance and butting in on his fun

‘you’re being kind of rough, don’t you think?��

‘but he can handle it, right?’

and the two of you are looking at jaemin for an answer and he panics but eventually just nods and agrees with yukhei

‘i don’t usually get to play with the other boys since you’re afraid we might hurt each other...... but lucas is really good at controlling himself and his strength y’know....?’

and then you scoff because yukhei grins and laughs in your face like this was some game to him

you’re just genuinely worried because, yes, you can be a stickler about a lot of things but

this kid is super large, super loud, super strong... and jaemin hasn’t really pushed or play fought with a guy like him before

you can see that jaemin looks a little uncomfortable in this situation so you decide to drop it, but you give him a final and gentle warning

‘just don’t get hurt, okay? i don’t want to hear that you got tackled into the ground and hit your head really hard’

it’s playful and part of your nature and he knows that it means you’re not mad but also caring

but before he can affirm with you, yukhei butts in again

‘oh come on! you’re a real stick in the mud. just leave us alone and let two boys have fun, he obviously doesn’t when you’re around’

and then he proceeds to drag out the name you refer to a guardian and this................

it ticks you off so much

you constrain yourself because you really want to yell at this guy for calling you boring and a stick in the mud and being just so.......... rude! to you

but instead you walk off and you’re clenching your hands into fists when you can hear him laughing at you and talking super loudly to the boys about how he really showed you who’s boss (haha get it adklnslf;g)

after this you are just super annoyed with yukhei

he doesn’t even seem to care about your discomfort and annoyance towards him and brushes it off super casually

even when you refuse to call him lucas and always refer to him a yukhei because no, you’re not playing games with him and where did lucas even come from

you constantly direct the dreamies away from him when you’re hanging out with them

you could be heading for a certain destination but when you see him turning the corner you nope out of there and take a much longer route

it isn’t until jungwoo pulls you over one day to talk to you about yukhei

at first you’re really reluctant because you suspect that he’s using jungwoo to relay a message to you

most often like how he basically recruited you as his messenger to tell messages to the dreamies

they don’t really have to ask anyways when they see the angered look on your face and clenching of teeth

‘oh, lucas wants to play video games with us again’

but back to jungwoo

he’s softly grabbing your shoulders and speaking in a really serious tone

and for a second you’re concerned if something happened, like sure you didn’t like the guy but you weren’t that heartless and wished pain upon yukhei

but jungwoo is just asking........................ for you to give him a chance....... to give yukhei an actual chance at being your friend

you think that yukhei wanted to prank you so you give jungwoo a suspicious look but then he starts shaking you a little bit and is like

‘seriously!!! seriously. give him a chance. he’s a really nice guy under all that’

and you scoff at that because nice?? that guy uses his giant shoulders to clock your body all the time and he absolutely loves to hide your things and put it on a tall shelf where probably even johnny has trouble getting to it

how did he even get it there

anyways though, but still he’s so brash and noisy and always in your space

but jungwoo is like ‘eXACTLY!!!!’

you’re all like ??????? so he just continues

‘he’s like that with me too!! but. but!’ he groans and looks like he’s so tired of whatever yukhei puts him through tbh ‘he’s always talking about you!’

you feel offended initially because wow he even starts insulting you behind your back but jungwoo practically screams nOOooO

he talks about you all the time

like about your hair, your voice, your eyes, your clothes, your doting nature, your singing voice when you sang to haechan’s plant project for science, and you parental nature, but also what it would be like to kis-

and all of a sudden yukhei is there and he looks super red in the face and he’s slammed a hand over woo’s mouth and is nervously laughing

but jungwoo looks super smug and eventually slips away while you’re left with yukhei

he looks like he’s about to say something and probably deny everything to your face, so you head away to leave

he actually lets you walk about

but he also walks away to, just at your side

his gangly legs manage to keep up with you no matter how fast you’re walking

and for once he’s not making some random comment to you and keeping quite a distance from you while still walking by your side

regardless, you’re kind of weirded out and have all sorts of questions

he doesn’t interrupt you and lets you start off first

‘what are you doing’

instead of some witty remark, yukhei just smiles brightly at you and answers you normally

‘i’m walking with you!’ you would have thought this was really cute if you weren’t so weirded out by this sudden personality change (or realization in your case)

‘okay..... but.......... why’

‘because i want to!’ at your speeding up again he frantically runs after you and is like ‘but i also have something to say!’

when catches up he finally blurts out that ‘i like you, you know!’

and you’re red in the face because.................. oh?

and he realizes what he just said and starts stuttering a lot and is like ‘well..... i mean, i didn’t like you at first -- nO WAIT FOR ME I’M SORRY’

it’s kind of funny when you think about it tbh and kind of cute

‘but i thought you were just like those really strict friends and stuff... but i found out that it was just how you were and how you showed that you really cared for your friends. and i really respect that!!’

you’re slowing down some so he can continue with what he wanted to say and... hearing these compliments is a nice change

‘plus your friends keep talking about how cool you are and i realized that you really aren’t a stick in the mud waIT STOP I’M SORRY AGAIN, but like you also sound super cool and i really want to be friends and you look really cute’

yukhei really didn’t mean to blurt out that last comment and starts to get so giggly and pink in the face and you’re seeing a softer and shyer side of him instead of the super noisy and invading yukhei you knew

‘did i - did i really do that?’ and you’re nodding and instead of pink he’s now kind of pale and he looks super sad and your instincts are like

‘i’m.... really sorry... i didn’t know that what i was saying was bothering you.. i had no intention of doing so. i know i can be really loud and can say some stuff sometimes, but i swear i don’t mean to take jabs at you’

seeing this giant baby makes you super soft for him and it’s super hard to say no, especially since you know he’s being truthful and is legitimately sorry about it

so you forgive him and start walking away again

he’s about to follow, but you leave him speechless and frozen when you say

‘anyways, i think you’re pretty cute too’

this was a mistake or is it? because this just spurs on a lot of flirtatious banter between the two of you

you get comfortable with his personality and he was honestly okay with yours in the beginning, it was a kind of one-sided angry relationship beofre lol

one might even start to pin you as each other’s best friends you were so joking at first

always whiny when you’re not around and then resorts to roughhousing one of the boys because he wants to know where you are

gets like telepathic messages from you to knock it off and sit back down because he’s being too rough

he also agrees that you’re super fun and def The Cool Parent because you wrestled him to the ground once and beat him and was pinning him down and he was like ..................how u

you gave him a kiss and then ran away and he was left in a daze, like usual after every kiss the two of you share

NCT Dream react to their GF getting them a big teddy

Request: NCT reacts to short (shorter than 152 cm/5 ft.) g/f giving them an 8-foot tall teddy bear that, when its nose is pressed, gives various clips of them laughing. Thank you! (I sent one in specifically for Chenle because hE'S MISSING IN YOUR POSTS, AND I NEED THAT BAB'S DOLPHIN LAUGH IN MY LIFE.)

This is possibly the best request I have ever seen it was so happy and it made me happy. Also, I agree about Chenle and because of that I made this an NCT Dream post just to make things different :) Hope you like this - Em x

Mark: “How did you find a teddy so big. Like bigger than even Johnny and by like 2ft.” He would laugh at how big and awesome the teddy was. “This is so cool!” He would give you a hug. “That's the last hug you will ever get because I have this teddy now! Just kidding, I prefer to cuddle smaller people.”

Renjun: You would wait till his practice had just finished and as he was about to go home you would surprise him. You jumped out from behind the door holding a massive stuffed panda bear. Renjun would immediately break out into a massive grin almost crying he was so happy. “This is so kind and cute. Ahhh how did I get such a cute girlfriend?” He would pull you and the teddy into a massive hug.

Jeno: As he was walking home from school you would surprise him with the massive bear. “I thought you had extra study?” Jeno asked. You had planned your surprise by saying you couldn’t walk home together as you did every day. “Well it turns out I didn’t, I did have to meet a friend to collect this bear for you, though.” You replied holding it out to him. Jeno reached over to get it giving you a very quick peck on the cheek as he did.

Haechan: You would knock at the dorm door and Haechan would open it a bit surprised because it must have taken someone so small a lot of effort to move something so big. “How did you even get this teddy to here y/n? It’s almost twice the size of you, it’s bigger than me. I love it though it’s so cute just like you.”

Jaemin: You would be at the fair together and when Jaemin said he needed to go to the loo or something where you couldn’t go with him, you would run to the closet stall where you could win one of the giant stuffed snowmen. (It was a winter fair) You had been practising so you could win it quickly and sure enough, you did. When Jaemin came back you would give it to him and he would smile so bright like the sunshine he is. “I was sad because I couldn;t participate in the comeback but you make everything better y/n.”

Chenle: It was Chenle’s birthday and you had been planning his present for a long time. It was perhaps the cutest present ever to be given. You snuck it into his room and hid behind it because it was so big and you were short at best. Chenle walked into the room to see an eight ft dolphin resting between his bed and the wall. It had a note by it saying press me.

He pressed the nose that seemed to stand out and a message played in Chinese from you. (If you don’t know chinses assume you did it specially). After the cute message had played every time he pressed the nose his cute dolphin laugh would play. He heard you laughing at how cute he was and pulled you out from under the dolphin.

“Y/n this is honestly the best present I have ever got it is so cute and I love it. Thank you so much you’re the best girlfriend ever and cuter than even my dolphin because you are small, unlike it.”

Jisung: You popped out from behind the sofa when Jisung got back from practice. You had been waiting for ages since Jeno let you in. You threw a massive teddy at him which almost knocked him over. “Suprise!” You yelled. Jisung ran over to the teddy and over to you. “How did you even get this upstairs? Ahhh who cares its such a cool present. Now I won’t be lonely even when my best friend/ girlfriend isn’t around. This is the best. Just like you.”
