Since I am allowed to have both Sofia versions on a team together, I hope one day this can be a reality. ^^ I want both Oskha and Tiziano playable!

It'd be fun to have them on a team, to send out the Oskha call-in, while fighting Oskha! four... might be a little too much to handle. XD

✯ Important Notice: Error/Change in Step-Up Banners! ✯

Attention (August 03): As of right now, the Fiore/Sofia step-up banner does not seem to be working the way those banners do in the Japanese version of the game! 

The way Japanese step-up banners have always worked is that you were guaranteed to get one of the featured 5☆ travelers at the end of Step 5, but in the newest version of the English release, this feature does not function the same way.

On Step 5, you will now instead be given a random 5☆ character out of the initial eight (Millard, Sofia, Gilderoy, Fiore, Lynnette, Theo, Viola and Scarecrow), with no way of knowing who it will be. 

It currently remains unknown whether this is an error or a deliberate change made by the English development team—nevertheless, I would not recommend pulling at it unless you want new travelers to add to your party in bulk and absolutely do not care which character you’ll end up getting.

Please do not pull until Step 3 or further if you only want Sofia or Fiore!

What made you ship it? I was watching Heisicx's fan translation of CotC and when the real Sazantos showed up with his barely hidden arrogant pride my thoughts were immediately, "Oh I would LOVE to see you humiliated and brought low." And him falling in love with the Chosen One is (one of) the ways that occurred to me. Then when the EN version came out, Scarecrow ended up being my Chosen One and my favorite traveler, so he almost incidentally became the person I ship so heavily with Sazantos.

What are your favorite things about the ship? You mean besides for Sazantos having a crisis about falling in love with the Chosen One??? I enjoy these two taciturn men finding a strange sort of comfort and familiarity with each other. Also they both focus a lot on protecting others and I like the idea of them being able to set that aside and let themself be protected by the other. The problem is figuring out how these two reticent people would actually have time to develop feelings for each other....

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? Is it possible to have an unpopular/popular opinion when I'm the only proponent of the ship? XD How about... there should be more scarezantos fics on Ao3! Does that count?

As I said: THIS IS AN APPRECIATION POST FOR SCARECROW!!!!! <3

Let’s go with my go-to archer. He was my second 5 star draw minus the very first draw at the beginning. He was also my first archer so I am very biased towards him. When I first saw his backstory in Shepards Rock I wanted to hug him and give him all the good things in the world. This man really lost his entire family and became such a husk that even others acknowledged it. Scarecrow’s are husks, they don’t have personality or feeling. They’re just nothing. But Scarecrow’s also scare off crows, they protect crops and fend off other birds who may harm the crops. That’s what Scarecrow does—he protects what those innocent people from the fate that he endured. He’s exactly my type of guy and he’s one of my favorite tropes. Hardened by life, but a sweetheart who has something to protect.

Let’s talk about his stats. He’s one of my mains and I use him religiously for ANY battle I’m in. Quests, main missions, literally just grinding for materials. I love it and I love him. While his main strength is his obvious physical strength, he can be used for his great wind damage as well. It’s great for when you don’t have another wind user or if you need some wind damage that has high accuracy. Speaking of accuracy—HOLY COW is he my bread and butter for quick and critical attacks. I love his Lacerating Arrow attack for the extra bleeding status and his Shower of Arrows really causes some heavy damage. Him and Theo are awesome when paired together and you already know I’m excited when I see him at a full five circles for BP.

If you can’t tell, I LOVE Scarecrow. Him, Theo, Sofia, Devin, and Cedric carry my team fr.

This year, we shall pit against each other 64 fictional magic users (double what we had last year!) in an attempt to see who the ultimate witch, wizard, mage, or caster is! Our winner last year was the lovely Eda Clawthorne from The Owl House (who will, from this moment on, be my profile picture until the new crown is distributed!), and today and for the next week and a half we will see who will take her crown!

New year, and I forget to post art here all the time, so I'll just do some favourite pieces that I did throughout 2023. Some might be reposted, I forget what I post here. XD

Vietnamese Year of the Cat, and the Chinese Year of the Rabbit with Tiziano and "Little Bunny" Pierro.

Spent the early point in the month working on the CotC Chibi Project! Hopefully I get a lot done this year too!

To complement the Valentines drawings, I did a White Day Countdown as well! I drew the partner that I ship them with. I hope to draw the outfits and ships again for Valentines Day or White Day... maybe both? Anyway, that's Barrad, Leon, and Tiziano!

Project Path Action hosted a Weekly Drawing prompt, so I drew Elletrix for Week 3 which was about favourite Guardians of the Light! Love her so much!!

Seed Story's 1st Anniversary art! I drew all the know Sage Caits! I am happy that they are able to playable now!

Collab for Cinna for the 3rd Anniversary, I still look at this and say, "We did that???" So much fun to draw all of them! And Cinna did AMAZING with the ring forms.

After drawing Saint Sazantos in the anniversary drawing, I really wanted to try drawing him normally. So I did that for the PPA Weekly Prompts, was fun!

My second choice for the PPA Free Week! I love Leon a lot!! Needed an excuse to draw him with the spear that I now headcanon his. (It's the Grandport spear!!) He matched perfectly with the earlier one of Elletrix! They are married!!

Team Asano Secret Santa entry! Was fun to draw this scenario!

Holidays in Grandport would be so lively, so dressing the Elves up as... well elves was fun! And of course incorporating the lord of Grandport with her husband was also much needed! I love Grandport a lot!!

I wanted to draw a 1 Year Anniversary drawing for Erika/Elle's CotC implementation! She was one of the most excitable reveals they've done in a presentation! At this rate, nobody's going to top her reveal unless it's Oskha or Tiziano.

Project Path Action, a progress report + New 2024 Art Challenge!

As of today, we've had 25 of ~202 Path Actions drawn and complete, and 60 WIPs have been seen as well!

Thank you all for the dedication to the idea! It has been such a joy to see all the different artists tackle each pose!

The goal is to hopefully have this project complete by the 6th Anniversary of our beloved series, Octopath Traveler.

I suppose a better way to say it is "caught up" as it is ever growing when new Travelers get added to CotC.

There are still many Travelers available to claim, so if anyone of these Travelers sticks out to you, please send me a message, I'd love to add you as part of the Project! Please read the guidelines if you are a new person to it.

Currently the limit is 5 Travelers + 1 Add-On Character, but this is subject to change in the future.

Here is a quick glance of the Travelers still available for claiming! These are also the poses that would be drawn. Please ask me if anyone interests you, but you are unfamiliar with them.

Now here's some information about the new 2024 Art Challenge!

As an artist and Octopath Traveler fan, I've enjoyed participating in a Monthly Job Project. I've participated in it for 5 years (4 if we do not count 2022, it was done differently).

I've created a Form for brainstorming character ideas and keeping note on what characters people are consider. Do check it out if this is an idea you might want to do. The challenge will mostly be on Twitter, I will make sure to retweet and advertise all months there.

That said, here are some from my previous years of the Job Project. Perhaps it may inspire you to join in and grow as an artist!

The idea of the art challenge is to choose a character to draw every month in a different job design following the Orsterra god order by month. Here is the order if you are unfamiliar, Solistia is involved as well, but it is following the advanced jobs via closest design not gameplay.

Anyway, I wanted to share this as it may interest a few of you artists, and I am happy to have the idea be more known from others aside from just myself and my close friends. Several people have already filled out the form and shared what characters they might be interested in.
