I had a dream about KNACK. Umm. I was trying to figure out what tags I would use to post on ao3 when I finish my story. I remember feeling self-conscious that my interpretation of the characters felt so different from other people's. So, more of the same, but while asleep.

I also played what appeared to be an alternate version of KNACK 2 while musing on worldbuilding stuff. Lucas and Knack were trying to follow Ryder somewhere. There were a lot of doors that were more like squishers that opened and closed on their own. They weren't very fast, but I and also Knack (probably) worried for Lucas's safety. Lucas is pretty smart and a big boy, though, so he was fine. He vaguely resembled how he looked in 2, but different in a way I can't remember.

I don't remember what Knack looked like. He was usually Tall Knack (between 6-and-a-half feet tall and ten feet tall), but the details are fuzzy. I want to say he looked more like he did in 1. But any time we came across a puzzle, there would be a cutscene, and he would inexplicably be Little Knack, resembling how he did in 2.

I think I was also having a conversation through my headset with someone else in the fandom, whose voice I only ever heard in a dream, not real life. Trying to remember... I was pleasantly surprised? That they liked my interpretations hehehe

I was also watching the cutscenes and trying to take mental notes of how the characters approach things differently. But naturally I remember very little.

What else... oh! I also remember playing as Lucas at one point! But he was younger in the gameplay, resembling how he did in 1. And it revolved around setting the stage of the environment - a severely distorted version of what probably should have been Aethenium (dunno if that's spelled right) but looked nothing like it - with colored light. There was an enemy or something that Lucas was absolutely terrified of, but I could never see it. I could hear his internal monologs in my headset, but don't remember well enough to recount. I think he mentioned being frustrated with school at one point, but who isn't?

There was also some kind of guidebook on how to draw the Knack characters, but it was all gibberish. It was more like some sort of design philosophy? Combining character elements from both games and a third thing. I had the impression of mixing paint. At the time, I understood, but now that I'm awake, it made no sense at all. The color green.
