🍔 Updated review ━ 📍 Omnipollos Kyrka ★★★☆☆ • The Swedish microbrewery Omnipollo opened their beer church Omnipollos Kyrka in the autumn of 2021 when they took over Sundbybergs Köksbryggeri’s old brewery. It didn’t take long for us to pay them a visit to try their excellent beers and smash burgers, and the result was decent with a lot of room for improvement. After a bit more than a year it was time to try them again to see how much had happened since last time. Their menu consisted of three regular burgers plus a monthly creation, costing 135 SEK (13 USD) each. So we ordered one of each standard burger, which all came with double patties; a Cheeseburger with cheddar, onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard, a BLT with cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo plus a Hot Pepper with cheddar, jalapeños and cream cheese. We also ordered some french fries for 40 SEK (4 USD). • During our previous visit our burgers were very flattened, and they were pretty squashed this time around as well, despite them switching to a but with a bit more bounce. Despite its appearance, the bun tasted nice and held together well throughout our meal. The crust on the patties was excellent, but it was a bit dry and could have done with more salt and pepper. The bacon in our BLT was well-cooked with a great consistency, and that burger tasted great apart from the thick tomato slice. Overall, all of our burgers could have tasted a bit more, and our Cheeseburger was the burger with the best balance of the three. Our well-cooked french fries were crispy and tasty, and definitely worth their price. • We really like Omnipollos Kyrka’s interesting building, cool interiors and the full view into the brewery. What is Kaizen’s favourite alcoholic drink? Does he like cocktails? Which foods and cuisines does he like the most?

Kaizen is a rather simple man when it comes to drink, and he’s not overly fashion with that. If it’s someone casual, he likes stout beer, because it has a strong flavor and he’s sticking to them for a very long time now. He has two favorite brands: the Omnipollo, from Sweden, and the Franziskaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel, a German one. Otherwise, he doesn’t drink strong alcohol, maybe vodka here and there. 

He doesn’t drink cocktails at all, and doesn’t really like them either. It’s too complex, the purpose of drinking alcohol is totally forgotten with all these fruity or other flavors he doesn’t find entertaining at all. 

For the kind of foods he prefers, well, for a long time he has been working with the Lenio, so many recipes from the Italian food became his favorite. His favorite dishes are the Italian meatballs, the cheesy Florentine Pasta and the chicken parmesan. He also likes junk food, his favorite snack being the Philly Cheesesteak. Sometimes he has a taste for sea food, his old time favorite each time he’s visiting a place by the ocean being the lobster roll.

🍔 Updated review ━ 📍 Omnipollos Flora ★★★★☆ • The Swedish microbrewery Omnipollo’s beer garden Omnipollos Flora is up and running for its fourth season in the Humlegården park in central Stockholm. This year, a lot of things were similar to previous seasons, such as imaginative first-class beers, a great atmosphere plus cooling and exciting ice-cream flavours. But one large change is that they’ve streamlined their menu – their burgers in particular – after the menu at their brew pub Omnipollos Kyrka. Nowadays the only have two burgers on their menu, both costing 135 SEK (13 USD) and both also available in vegan varieties. • We ordered their Cheeseburger with two thinly smashed beef patties, cheddar, white onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard plus an order of french fries for an additional whooping 50 SEK (5 USD). Our burger looked pretty great, and all the ratios between the various ingredients were practically flawless. The bun had been properly toasted with a buttery and crisp inside crust that we really liked, even though it was a bit tough and could have been slightly softer on the outside. The beef had a deep crust and had been thoroughly seasoned, creating a beefiness that really hit the spot. The meat’s texture was great too, and the patties were nice and juicy despite being so thinly smashed. And the pickles, onions and condiments added their own distinct flavours and consistencies to finish off the experience. The french fries were alright, but a bit of a let-down considering the high cost, and the same could be said about their craft soda for 45 SEK (4.5 USD). • We were left really impressed by the burgers from Omnipollos Flora this year around, and it’s clear that they’ve really made an effort to make their menu better and more concise. The Bianca series from Omnipollo has been impeccable, and this newest variant is a banger. Coming in at 6%, this sour brew rocks blueberry, pineapple and marshmallow alongside lactose and rock salt, it pours a deep purple with a pink fluffy head and a sweet, pastry nose, the body is creamy and smooth with no overwhelming sweetness, it’s super balanced with soft berries, sticky pineapple and vanilla vibes, the salt arguably softens everything out, it’s really crushable, wrapping in a dry, berry finish.
