The explanation of the hierarchy of 404′s organization in Undertale Psi

In Undertale Psi, Error404′s organization has a hierarchy system. There is a basic one, that is mostly used to see how Error404 generally acts, and a more detailed one, used to see how Error404 acts for each member. The members see this more detailed one in 404′s behavior, and adapt their own behavior towards other members to it. The basic is the main-right side-controlled system, and the more detailed one is a ranking of each member by importance, which here will be stated with a number. A person would get higher in number if another member betrays or dies.

Controlled members

The controlled members are the ones that 404 has used his mind manipulation on to hire in his organization, something he doesn’t like to do. They can’t resist, and usually are there for a specific purpose. They don’t have 404′s help in anything, unless it’s to give them informations. 404 may manipulate how they think and how they believe they know their informations. However, they get to be the most trusted.

Right side

The right sides, which are most of the members, are of course above the controlled. They decided to serve 404 by themselves or were convinced, sometimes under a certain condition. They follow the orders of 404, and may sometimes know why he wants them to do what they do. They may get help from 404 for some of the business they’re doing, or may have entered to get some protection. It usually depends on each individual case.

Main

The main are people of an extreme importance for the organization, usually serving the purpose of gathering informations. This is the only known purpose currently. Due to their importance, while they can’t give orders to the other members, they can get private and very important informations from Error404 himself, that he keeps between himself and them. Now, here are the members. They are ordered from lowest/worst to highest/best, with all the known members.

10 - Overcorrupt!Sans - Controlled

Overcorrupt!Sans was primarly recruited and controlled because he was what we would call an asshole. He does the job of getting rid of dangerous individuals, but only as a last case scenario, usually not needed for anything. Due to his lack of general usefulness and due to the fact that 404 can’t bear him at all, he is ranked as the lowest, almost forgiven of speech by every member of the organization.

9 - Syno!Sans - Controlled

The reason Syno!Sans was recruited is unknown, though it is known that he had to be controlled. He infiltrates the Outertale meetings and tries to get informations from the protectors of the AUs, which he usually succeeds at. He doesn’t realize that he is controlled and doesn’t have the knowledge of 404′s existence unless he is before me. He becomes more believable thanks to this, fortunately.

8 - Frostscreen!Sans - Right side

Frostscreen!Sans was recruited due to his informations about the Fresh parasite of the snow, one of 404′s greatest fears, in exchange of the protection of his AU. However, he lacks the ability to speak, and isn’t trusted at all in the organization, though for no good reason. Some of the members are jealous of how easily he got the protection of his AU. He also usually doesn’t do much work for the organization itself, giving him a low place.

7 - Killer!Chara - Right side

Killer!Chara and Killer!Sans were recruited of the same time. They accepted the work for 404 so they could have Out!Code abilities in exchange. While both are efficient killers, Killer!Sans is preferred to them because he is more polyvalent, and because Killer!Chara has a less tolerable behavior. They rank low because they have no use besides killing, yet can prove useful from time to time.

6 - Killer!Sans - Right side

Killer!Sans was recruited with Killer!Chara in exchange of an Out!Code ability. They sometimes work together, but Killer!Sans has magic, which can prove better in a lot of cases. He is more known while not even giving a hint of the existence of 404′s organization. His allies also find him more tolerable than Killer!Chara, since he is more chill. He still only has the use of killing, which is why he ranks lower than others.

5 - XGaster - Right side

XGaster was recruited by Error404 after his plan failed. He was mostly recruited for his intelligence that would prove useful, and his potential to recover his previous abilities that could become extremely useful. If we exclude 404 himself, he is the brains of the team. He can also get good at killing his opponents. It has to be noted that the other members do not like him since he is arrogant and hateful.

4 - Error!Sans - Right side

Error!Sans was one of the first members of the organization, and is the main destroyer of the team. He has been pretty useful to the team, yet wishes to destroy the other members as well. People are neutral towards him, since he is not too hostile and knows how to behave from time to time. However, his lack of efficiency against codeless enemies forbids him for ranking higher.

3 - NewLie - Right side

NewLie is a recent addition to the organiation. She isn’t much appreciated from the organization because the other members believe that she should be more with the protectors than them, due to her beliefs and her actual goal. What makes her rank high is not only the fact that Error404 holds her in high regard due to her beliefs, goals and overall behavior, but also her incredible power, making her much stronger than any other minion of 404. The fact that she is codeless makes her useful against both coded and codeless enemies as well as coded ones, in opposition of most members of the organization that are coded.

2 - Opposite!Sans - Main

Opposite!Sans is a recent addition, whose main goal is to gather informations. He is incredible at doing so, and has a lot of knowledge about the Multiverse, while not needing to have existence kept secret and having relationships with the protectors. He can as such help in perdicting the moves of some enemies, while giving many informations.

1- King Multiverse!Sans - Main

King Multiverse!Sans is the oldest addition to the team, someone with an ability that allows him to watch over the Multiverse. He is useful is locating people, gathering informations, or even getting contracts with people, giving them the god status. The gods are his own servants, giving him great influence over the Multiverse, something very useful as well, though he is hated. He is also strong, and can fight codeless enemies as well, giving him a lot of use, which is why he ranks high. Well that was all for today. Have a good moment.

Go ahead, say nothing.

I've started this campaign for myself to help me and the cats but then no one ever chipped in though and just today I got this info that they're about to closed the site. So talk about ironic. Hmm maybe they need funds for themselves.

Live is hard and I know that, but again there are always somebody who get it's harder. I know it's not a competition, my state now is not so good but then just today I sit on the side of the road and there is this homeless man. It's not like in america here if you're homeless you can dumpster dive in the trash or literally camping ⛺ on the road or the park, but then I guess out government turns blind eye for these kind of folks even by law it should be the responsibility of government to give these people life so that they don't live in the street.

There are some shelter but this kind of things isn't talked by many because many people than lived under the bridge isn't fully homeless. It's sad and they don't care because others also the unemployment rate and the stigma between people who have no homes is cruel. Like in here family is supposed to help each other so if you don't have anyone to helped it's probably because you're horrible person.

Not everyone have family who loves them and that's the truth. Am I projecting? Not really. It's hurt but it's true. And I hate to beg also but I am stuck in country that is intolerant but they never felt that way because they're majority and the majority always feel they're holding the truth. Also my life didn't finished my study and such, but even when I finished it, the job market compared to people are just sooo impossible. Unless maybe you can make something of your own like selling stuff but I have no experience of it nor the money to start it. Start small... Nah I don't know how to do also I am raised to never think about this as they think I am just gonna be obedient wife. You know wife here most of them are undergraduate people but who just get the degree because everyone mostly got one. (The thought of having a degree is crucial when in reality experience and connection always beat everything, yeah but the paperwork is needed to prove you're smart enough)

I am obedient enough back then smart, in theory but practical things is zero. My parents would not let me do anything. Because it's a sin. Now I am mourning about my youth.

I have no life skills that sells, and people don't like it if you're being too honest. You must present yourself in some type of way, and my overall appearance don't fit to even work shitty jobs because there are plenty overqualified people that also working for shitty jobs , overcorrupted and over population but they never really mention it.

I wish I can knit, yeah probably I should learn because if you can make something at least you can sell it. It's hard though watching from youtube and I have little patience. I love to play pretend in stage, but then it's too late and people love to play drama in real life when they should not to.

I offer myself as guide yet they want me more than that. Like hello can you not read, but again some said okay but they're just lying because they're horrible manipulative people.

ASTREA: SIX-SIDED ORACLE IMPRESSIONS

WHAT

Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles is a new roguelike from Little Leo Games, launched 21st September 2023 (22nd, for those of me in a different timezone). I’ve tried out the demo before, calling it something I’d prioritize among the many, many other games out there. Well, now that it’s out, it’s time for the Casual Impressions.

SETTINGS

The options menu is fairly spartan, but the game doesn’t have that much you really need to tweak anyway.

You have your audio sliders, barebones graphics presets, the ability to change battle speed up to ultra fast, skipping certain animations, a run timer toggle, controls between mouse and controller / keyboard, and miscellaneous options for screenshake, particle effects and data collection.

Data collection is to send the devs gameplay data and error logs to assist in game balance and does not include personal identifying information. If you’re still concerned, you can turn it off regardless.

While the Ultra battle speed sounds handy for maybe speedrunning and such, it doesn’t seem to affect the actual dice roll animations which while nice, is probably something you might want to skip when it comes to rushing through.

Since I use the mouse, right-click is for viewing a die’s face. Maybe there could be a toggle for quick use when it comes to area of effect dice.

PRESENTATION

Astrea is mostly in this gorgeous blue, purple and gold trim colour palette. It quite reminds me of tarot, as you lay out the cloth and prepare your cards for a reading. The dice aside, the blessings you can get look like metal pins you could buy off Etsy - and could totally make for some kickass limited edition merchandise, if you get my drift.

The Oracles and the purifying they do are blue, while the corruption is in red. The corruption can morph pretty much anything into terrifying, dangerous entities; if they are sentient beings, they scurry off to the right side of the screen once you help them regain their senses.

I do wonder how much being colourblind can affect someone when it comes to playing this game. We can take visual clarity for granted sometimes.

GAMEPLAY

Gameplay wise, Astrea has not changed drastically from the demo. You have your dice with all their faces of effects that make up your deck. ‘Safe’ dice usually don’t have the biggest numbers, but you’re at least assured you wouldn’t roll something that could be devastating, unlike ‘Risky’ dice which generally have bombastic effects, both good and bad. Mostly bad?

With your dice in hand, you proceed from node to node, picking up more dice options, finding encounters, and what have you. You can have up to two Sentinels, your support buddies offering more dice to complement your chosen character’s playstyle. Their HP is pretty low and don’t all get the ability to attack, so they’re not the most reliable helpers if they don’t have the spread of dice you want.

You will need to balance between Purifying and Corruption, more so if you’re picking out risky dice. You can inflict Corruption on yourself to activate your spread of Virtues - the row of icons above your health bar - but too much, and you’d accidentally lose one of your lives.

You can’t throw all the Corruption onto the enemies either; it will heal them and trigger Overcorruption abilities once they reach the threshold to immediately perform an action you probably would rather avoid. That’s not forgetting any potential passive effects they have. The least you can do is hover over the smaller icons and read up on what they do.

Once you’ve cleared a single run with a given Oracle, you can start ramping up the difficulty via Anomaly levels a la something like Slay the Spire’s Ascension. You will want to try out all the characters to level them up to unlock even more things for later runs, as you might expect.

One thing I found a little odd was that there wasn’t an Abandon Run option right now. As it happens, forfeiting a run means you don’t get any experience towards levelling up that character. So even if you’re in a run you feel is hopeless, you need to keep on going anyway otherwise you make no progress. I would have thought games like these usually give a nominal amount towards unlocks, but different games, different systems.

CONCLUSION

Well, is it much of a surprise I really like this game following from the demo? It’s pretty simple to grasp, though of course it won’t prevent me from yelling at unfavourable rerolls. I wanted to work on a 'review' once I managed to complete a run with a character which happened a little sooner than I thought, so there’s certainly more to be had. As it is, I already liked it, so Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles is a Highly Recommended.

Lord of Imladris stood silently watching rising sun peek shyly from the horizon.

He was told that the Valar were asked for an asylum for a fragment of race of wizards who recently emerged out of decades long blood war and were on a brink of explosion if not aided in isolation from overcorrupt society.

Elrond drank his morning brew restraining a smile at the memory of Valar's personal and very harsh reprimand as to refrain from any form of mind reading the guests or in their presence or they will be encouraged to extract their punishment.

To the study's door knocked none other than Glorfindel flanked by very excited twins.

-Is it the time my friend?- the dark haired lord asked the blond lord

- Yes. The arch started shining just a little earlier.- said balrog slayer steady, but in his voice was tiny note of giddiness.

- Then let us go and invite those pilgrims- hummed Elrond and placed cup on a table.

Together with Lindir joining they went to the mysterious clearing where the magic race was supposed to arrive in moments.

It housed a very tall arch from strangely carved stones. Which was increasingly thruming and shining.

And behind this shining there could be seen glimpses of figures moving, but surprisingly non humane entirely.

- Ah. That seems to be what the Valar meant- mused Elrond aloud - That they weren't able to cross the path in their primary forms...

The shine and thrum steadied themselves and unveiled the group on the other side.

The group of animals with a people' luggage hovering near them... elves gasped, but managed to make inviting space before the entrance.

The beings on the other side seemed to judge wearily elven realm, but soon gather themselves and formed small parade.

First through the arch stepped big black panther and black shaggy mix of dog/wolf. Then nearly on their tails went even more black shaggy dog and brown wolf with a cub in its mouth.

Then from somewhere sprang two red foxes, chased by equally red long haired dogs. Behind them trouped calmly a red ocelot and a brown sleek badger.

Then thundered stoically the biggest horse anyone could have seen with a grey, fiery red and snowy white birds on it's back and a slick black and white snakes slithering right behind. Then a large bear with a tiny rabbit, and a badger on it's back calmly stepped through and joined other calmly sitting animals on the side.

It looked like they was waiting for someone. And a thought later a herd of half-human half horses marched through leading a bunch of mixed bird-horses, along with a giant tre headed dog closing the parade and the portal closed itself.

Then elves was gifted with a wiev of two foxes being clipped on the back of the heads by the large red ocelot who somehow went unnoticed. The five animals looked like close knitted family despite being different species. And near them a panther and a wolf were face-pawing, and a Malamut shaking its head.

Then the blond horse-male stomped one of hooves but was smiling. And all newcomers sat still and after a second most of them began to blur and shift.

Glorfindel was astonished, Elrohir and Elladan were even more excited, and Elrond kept observing eyeing his sons with a smile, with Lindir silently gaping behind.

Elrond noted young boy looking the most tired of all, as well as closest to him older man who looked nearly as haggard but with silver eyes shining partly with cheekiness similar to that of his own sons.

Then in startle lord on Rivendell noted set of red headed twins being caught in a headlocks seemingly by their brothers with older redhead shaking his head resignedly. They both exchanged inter-fatherly looks.

After all that shifting both groups had introduced themselves and halted unsure on the bigger then most male and mixed beings

Glorfindel looked fascinated at the enormous crossbow but was intercepted by a messy haired teen and a similar woman.

-this is our one of the less fight loving person just as Remus.- that was met with wave from a scarred Male with a baby on hand. - Rubeus Hagrid is half-giant and loves animals, though he had a bit of a problem wit discerning which are really dangerous- Harry grinned at giand man who smiled sheepishly holding the biggest dog on a chain

-As in only Hagrid could name a Cerberus Fluffy- the boys aunt Iris pointed at the hound.

- Let me introduce you all to the centaurs, who came with us- she then stood before the blond-palomino and bowed with a clear respect.

-They are very proficient with hunt, battles, and reading stars, also these here were very calming and supportive to us.- she looked up with clear respect

-Chieftain Firenze here also saved my life from a unicorn killer once- piped Harry

-And always thought it payed of well- isured the centaur looking at uncertain boy after bowing to their new host.

The more will come perhaps
