Southern Book-it Alternative?
Dad: my kid doesn’t like to read but she likes shooting my 12 gauge, so what I did was get her a shotgun for Christmas. I told her the gun was hers but the shells are mine. She has to earn the shells by reading books and I assign a certain number of shells for each book she reads. Ain’t had no problems getting her to read since then.

One of my patients was a very nervous 10 year old, like had a panic attack at last attempted exam (with a different doctor at a different location) barely spoke to me, but we got through it. Guiding step by step and making sure no noises or sensations were ever a surprise.
Anyways, time to swap them out and it's the kid's mom's turn for exam. I'm back to rambling things and somehow mentioned not getting sunlight because windowless exam rooms all day.
And the kid, from the side chair says "just four false suns lighting your day" (there are 4 recessed lights in the ceiling). I look up at the lights, and go "yeah, that's about right"
Like I love collecting my little weird vibe kid patients, a blessing. 🤌

The manga industry, especially JUMP, needs to hurry up and do away with weekly scheduling for mangaka. There needs to better regulations put into place for their health and safety because this is pitiful. Two weeks - monthly updates should’ve already been the standard for the manga industry at this point. These money grabbers will only continue to put the lives of these artists at stake for the sake of capitalism unless some serious changes are implemented.

eddie loves the public library, once he moved in with wayne he would regularly bring home a stack of books and devour them. wayne had barely gotten his head around the last lot eddie regaled him with, before eddie was onto talking about the next.
eddie using the school library sometimes, though it had nothing on the public one. would watch as steve harrington slumped in during lunchtimes, face bruised, just looking for somewhere quiet.
eddie in the library, secretly spying on steve harrington on saturday. there with a brown curly haired kid. eddie uses dustin speaking a little too loudly about dnd as an excuse to go talk to them. show them where the best dragon books were kept. heart clenching over secretly catching steves warm smile as dustin gets exited.
the librarians of hawkins being some of his few supporters during that terrible week. having the same learned faith in him as wayne - that hurting someone just wasn't in eddies nature.
librarian eddie - crushing on but always being too embarrassed to talk to the guy who comes in for the audio books.
fantasy writer eddie dedicating his first novel to all public library employees across the country, and steve.

So I've always had this head canon about how Wednesday has this reverse Morticia eyes effect (from Addams Family Values) where, instead of there being light shined dramatically over her eyes, Wednesday's face completely darkens to a very unnatural degree whenever she's feeling particularly homicidal! I wrote a bit where Yoko tried to test it out by shining a flashlight directly into Wednesday's face. Needless to say it did not go well haha. But yeh I'm adding this to my ding dang fic when I finally get around to it lol

A new medical term
PGY2: the patient said he was stressed out about something but he didn’t want to say what it was.
Attending: well this note in his chart says they couldn’t start home health because he was in county lockup, so I bet he might be stressed about that.
PGY2: good to know. I’m gonna go ask him about his case of incarceritis!

The Missing Scarf VIII - part 33 (END (1))
Eye contact
-
And there you have it, Part VIII ends here... for now ⸜( *ˊᵕˋ* )⸝
Almost six months of activity on this blog, that's quite something. Unheard of, even, I hope you're proud that you had a great time with Mel and the gang! They'll be back for new adventures next year (sometime in may or june prbly). And HT Sans will be along for the ride this time!
Some side stories, extras and animatics might drop in the meantime (no promise) but I'll try to answer a few asks first… and before that, finish my assignements, get over that cold, and enjoy a nice holydays ( ´ ▿ ` )
TLDR the comic is taking its annual hiatus, updates will be less frequent but you can expect some lore, silly stuff, and other random things to be released now and then.
Thanks for reading and supporting TMS!
