Top left: Amihan in a little mermaid au. I always think of immy in a tlm au but a friend brought up that amihan would absolutely give up her fins to be with Alistair lol…that longing for someone and doing everything to be w them is very her. So I’m working on a tlm au for her haha

Top right: Violetta as an underwater cavern mermaid. I’m fascinated (and afraid) of water-filled caves, and I thought it would be really cool to have a cryptid like mermaid in one. Whether she’s real, the figment of divers’ imaginations, or the reason for the cave’s high number of diving deaths…we will never know

Bottom left: Immy as a mermaid princess ❤️ anytime i imagine her as a mermaid I think of those colorful Barbie mermaids. Perhaps she helps Captain Rutherford through a shipwreck and saves his entire fleet…she tries not to be seen, but the Captain is haunted by the vision of a beautiful woman

Bottom right: Sinag doesn’t have a mermaid au, so I’m using Leo Hawke. During a tiring voyage, Captain Isabela drops her telescope in the ocean. She’s frustrated - it’s a new one, one that cost her a pretty penny. During the quiet dawn the next day, she feels herself drawn to a voice…and on her deck sits a merman, with her telescope in hand.

starting with Giselle, I need to say I went absolutely insane when I saw Timmy Turtle is by this company becaaaauuuuuse I made a Post about Him!!!!!! (x) SO, she would 1000% have him !!!! She'd also love Huddles Kangaroo, and Willow Squirrel BUT I must say, she would be quite upset they have no chipmunk options ☹️ oh, and she'd love this Bashful Bunny too.

For Robert, I think he'd keep it simple and just have Bartholomew Bear (bedtime version) WHICH reminds me, I wrote a fic (which I've since deleted) of Robert and Giselle going bowling, and she wins a prize in the arcade and said prize is a dark brown bear in a suit that she named Robby :') Maybe I'll rewrite that some day bc I liked the concept, but the way I wrote it was. Mmmmm. Not my favorite.

ANYWHO, Morgan. So, like Sofia, I headcanon Morgan had a scruffy little dog plush that Robert bought before she was born, and Cooper Doodle Dog is probably the closest to what I envisioned in my head, so I will give her that little guy. Floofie Sheepdog reminds me of the plush she has in the movie (which I think is meant to be Max from TLM? idk for sure) so I'll throw him in as well. And I'll give her Fuddlewuddle Lion bc she Loooooooved seeing the lions at the zoo.

For Sofia, she would absolutely Need both Brynlee Bee and Honeyhome Bee, and she would also absolutely adore Penny Praying Mantis, Spindleshanks Spider, Stanley Stick Insect, Sandy Snail, and, of course, Winston Worm !! He might be her fave, actually. Also, truly I think she owns every little guy in the bug section like... trying to limit myself here was Not easy she would want them all!!!!! Stevie Snake and Colin Chameleon are also must haves, and Robert (lovingly) tells her Stevie is the closest thing to a Real Snake she's ever gonna get. Canonically, she has a dragon hand puppet that she sleeps with, so I headcanon she loves dragons too, and I believe Dexter Dragon is pretty close to the color of said puppet, so he's also gonna be tossed in, along with Fuddlewuddle Dragon. and ykw, she'd probably also love Nessie Nessa. OH AND Gomez Gorilla !!!

God okay, I went a bit overboard with Sofia and now I'm bankrupt. Thank god she has rich parents !! BUT this was a very fun mission, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve got a couple questions for the Sims 2 and Disney fans out there. Maybe you can help me solve these dilemmas.

So, I’ve been working on making a Disney Animated Canon-themed neighborhood in the Sims 2. Long story short, it’s basically a BaCC with altered themed rules, I’m adding characters in groups by movie, and social classes matter. I’m currently still building my founders, and am about to create the characters from Cinderella. My rule of thumb is “include every character I want to include from that movie”, but I’m struggling a little with where I want to draw the line. From Snow White, I made Snow White and her prince, the Evil Queen and the Huntsman, and the seven dwarves. From Pinocchio, I of course made Pinocchio and Gepetto and a human version of Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy (using a custom fairy lifestate), but also Stromboli and Lampwick and human versions of Honest John and Gideon. So far, I’m planning to include Cinderella and Prince Charming, the Tremaines, the Fairy Godmother, and human versions of the top three mice (because my mandate is to use and humanize all sentient, talking animals from the movies I choose; I’m saving most animal-focused movies for a second round or sequel or something) (oh and I’m also using characters from Melody Time and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, but it’s not particularly relevant to list them.)

So my first dilemma is: do I also include the king and/or the grand duke from cinderella? They don’t have names, but that hasn’t stopped me before. I have gone out of my way to ensure I am adding every damn female character available because there aren’t as many as you would think (you better believe I will be adding all of Ariel’s sisters when I get up to TLM), so I’m a little wary of adding unnecessary dudes, but I also have no problem pairing the dudes off with each other as needed, it’s the Sims. The Grand Duke would add another Noble, which is not bad, and the King would bump Prince Charming’s rank down a peg, and could cause further inheritance problems if he pairs off with anyone and starts having kids. Including the King would also make me feel obligated to include other parents from the movies I might otherwise have left out, like Aurora and Philip’s parents (who I should probably include anyway as they have names and important roles) and the Sultan. This could be bad, as the neighborhood plan already has nearly 200 sims, and as a BaCC I have to earn each character before I can add them... but I haven’t really tried yet to see how fast or slow it goes. The King and the Grand Duke wouldn’t be part of that particular problem personally, as they would be part of the founding groups of sims.

The second dilemma is less immediate, but basically... Disney movies have a lot of ambiguously aged gangly youths. I have made the command decision to age up characters to adult if they look basically adult and get married at the end, even if they spend the movie yelling about being 16 (looking at you Ariel...), but I’m not sure where to draw the line between child and teen characters. Alice in Wonderland will be the first group of non-founding sims, and Alice strikes me as obviously a child. But despite Alice and Wendy being virtually identical, I have this odd preference for making Peter Pan and Wendy and Tiger Lily teenagers, like young teens. Okay, fine. But then there’s Wart, Mowgli, and later Taran and Eilonwy. Now, if I was including Lilo (haven’t decided on that yet), Penny from The Rescuers (which I’m filing as an Animal movie), or Olivia from The Great Mouse Detective, there’d be no question, those are children. Jim Hawkins, Merida, and Moana are all clear teens. But what the hell do I do, do I want to do, with all those ambiguous gangly youths that could be anywhere from ten to thirteen? I... guess I lean towards making Wart and Mowgli children, and Taran and Eilonwy teens (barely), but the Wendy/Alice divide is what really made me realize my notions were totally arbitrary and I should maybe consider standardizing my age choices.

(Let’s not even get started on how I am constantly waffling over whether to use The Jungle Book now for some badly-needed early diversity, or save it for The Animal Movie Hood, where it combined with Talespin will add a ton of great characters for building a city)

I really do want to try to share pictures and stories and rules and such when I actually start playing. Should be fun.
