Had a trip to Portland Basin with my flipped lens Kodak Cresta on Wednesday. Developed the film yesterday and scanned it today. Love these! EVENT: Portland Basin Museum - launch of 'Thomas Bell Ale', 19th October

Portland Basin Museum

Ashton-Under-Lyne on Thursday

19th of October from 6-8pm.

Thomas Bell Ale has been developed as a work of art for Arts & Heritage’s Meeting Point 2. Each bottle at the opening will be individually signed and numbered as a limited edition – you have the choice of drinking a beer or keeping the work of art intact. The beer has been brewed by HARTS alumni and Manchester School of Art lecturer Magnus Quaife and the renowned Millstone Brewery of Mossley and there will be canapés made by students from Tameside College’s using the beer. There will also be a limited edition visual essay to accompany the beer.

Magnus has been researching Gartside’s brewery, once a major employer in the area and will share stories and memories at this special event. A limited edition beer called Thomas Bell Ale, brewed with Millstone Brewery, will be available.
