3x02, AKA, Rae’s Least Favourite Even Though It Is Danny’s Debut

I relate to Connor in that whenever I see windchimes, I must poke them to make them make noise

See, when there’s zero noise here, Nick knows someone is there. But when Helen breaks into Nick’s house and is still there when he’s there, he doesn’t notice

When did you start watching primeval?

Oof, incoming lesson on the History of Rae’s Life(the short story is the first line)(I always over-answer these things, don’t I)

I think 2008, when Season Two aired. I say ‘think’ because I was very wee.But my older brother has always been really into dinosaurs, which means our house is full of dinosaur toys and movies and documentaries and books, and his love of dinosaurs rubbed off on me.I don’t remember watching Season One, but I remember running into the living room whenever I heard the music. I heard the theme music and I would shriek and run from wherever I was in the house.

I don’t remember a lot of it. I just remember being excited because DINOSAURS and I loved Rex and I liked Connor’s hats. I remember thinking that Abby and Helen were pretty and that I liked Stephen.I think I remember 1x04, because I liked Dodos, but I didn’t like them being evil and biting people.The only season I remember completely from the first time I watched it is Season Two.I remember my favourite episodes were 2x03 and 2x06 because Sabretooth cats and Mammoths were my favourite things ever (Ice Age probably had something to do with this)Because I was so small, I don’t remember much. The next episode I remember is the 3x02, because I was kinda scared of the camouflage creatures. The next and last one I remember from when Primeval was still on TV is the one with the Labryinthodont (4x05) and all I remember is the part when it was slithering around in the carpark.

Funnily enough, the parts I remember best are the bits just before it showed, when the voice was telling you it was coming on over a video of water shaking in a glass in a deserted café or people finding a dinosaur egg on the beach

My brother got the box-set when it ended and now I’ve watched it more than he ever did. Like, it might as well be in my room instead of his. When I got my Cutter-esque jacket last year and told my mum I thought it was Cutter-esque, she knew exactly what I meantMy dad knows this show because of how much I watch it, and he remembers basically nothing about any movies or TV showsFun Fact, for a while I was banned from watching it because I was getting nightmares from the Future Predators
