Edwardian style ‘high’ rise apartments. It can be done elegantly, see? Walking or driving by the waterfront you cannot help but notice the Riviera Buildings - one of few buildings of the urban fabric of days gone by that are left in this part of Malta. Tower Road in Sliema was once lined with symmetrical town houses built in an Edwardian style that created a clean two-storey streetscape. Today this has, unfortunately, been lost forever to senseless, ugly human cages. Malta’s skyline started changing forever with the surge of high-rise buildings.
