"No One Knows" was the first single from Queens of the Stone Age's third album, Songs for the Deaf. The album features guest musician Dave Grohl (of Foo Fighters and Nirvana) on drums, and he also toured with the band during 2002.
"No One Knows" was a chart success, becoming the band's first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and their only single to top the US Alternative charts, and is also the band's highest charting single on the Dutch Singles Chart (where it reached number 39) and on the Irish Singles Chart (where it peaked at number 26). It reached number 15 on the UK Singles Chart.
The song was also critically acclaimed, receiving a nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 2003 Grammy Awards, but they lost the award to Foo Fighters.
