A-train sentiu um aperto no peito ao ouvir as suas palavras. Ele sabia que o amava mais do que qualquer coisa no mundo. "Então, o que faremos com a Vought?" ele perguntou, com um nó na garganta.

Você sorriu suavemente. "Você pode jogar a carta sobre diversidade, fale com a Ashley  e convence ela, vou estar ajudando nisso também. O que realmente importa é que no final temos um ao outro."

A-train olhou em seus olhose viu a determinação e o amor que brilhavam ali. Ele sabia que não importava o que acontecesse, vocês estariam juntos.

seeing blue hawk get killed so brutally was incredibly cathartic and i loved it but its also SO frustrating in a way like. becca was raped, robin was killed, mm’s family was murdered, and butcher, hughie and mm have been trying to get their revenge for YEARS without ever managing to harm the ones who did it, while after nathan got paralyzed a-train got his revenge within like, a couple days at most. same for soldier boy trying to get payback and managing to kill the tnt twins and crimson countess within days of being back in america. it just illustrates further how difficult or even impossible it is for regular people to bring consequences to supes, as opposed to supes who can do pretty much whatever the fuck they want.

I would so kill if The Boys Diabolical season 2 takes the Lightyear route and each short is an in-universe aka cover story for the Seven. We get a gritty Queen Maeve sword and sandals short giving Conan and Skyrim vibes it’s parodying while Homelander’s is basically a Man Of Steel knockoff and A-Train is a heartwarming inspiring rags to riches story parody.

The rivalries in The Boys are built in such a manner that they make sense in retrospect but are also completely surprising.

With how they are set up, you believe it would be:

Billy vs Homelander, A Train vs Hughie, Starlight vs Deep.

Yet Homelander doesn't really hate Butcher. He kinda sees their rivalry as a fun little thing, which he only gets angry at when Butcher brings Soldier Boy into their death match.

The people Homelander genuinely hates are Hughie and Starlight. And by his interactions alone, this is made VERY clear. He sees them as a deadly threat, in the way he doesn't see Butcher. (People argue that Homelander "respects" Butcher, and he really doesn't. He notices Butcher's lack of fear, but also doesn't hesitate to kill him once their movie star battle is broken. He infantilizes Butcher's anger. )

Hughie hates A- Train and vice versa, but due to bigger villains in their lives (Homelander, Stormfront, Bluehawk) their hate got side tracked.

It also helps that A-Train is self reflecting, even if to Hughie it's a out of nowhere change of heart.

(Still laughing at A-Train going "Ill never have sex with you" when he saw Hughie at Herogasm. Surprised their aren't any fanfics about them)

The Deep is so pathetic that he only becomes a true threat to Starlight after Homelander backs him up.

Majority of her rivalry is kept with Homelander.

This season!!! It was amazing!! I have so many thoughts!!!

Seriously I got almost every wish/prediction I wrote down, I’m so happily surprised! Nathan came back, Ashley was unhinged, Kimiko x Frenchie developments, MM focus, Maeve and Starlight friendship Hughie not dying!

Even smaller wishes came true like Anika still being around and slightly more than last season, or Black Noir getting more depth, I’m so happy

That being said I really hope Black Noir isn’t actually dead and if that’s true I will miss him so much. He was just so much fun to watch and the show will feel just a little emptier without him

But I am very much here for Maeve leaving without dying!! Her disappearing for a while had me worried but overall I’m really happy with her plot this season. Her relationship with Annie grew, she got to have that bloodied fight with Homelander that she’s wanted for so long and she got her happy ending: no powers and Elena back

Annie is just becoming more and more of a favourite with each season, and her and MM’s growing friendship is just everything to me. And she’s finally officially a Boy!!!

In spite of the backtrack I am really happy with the Kimiko x Frenchie development this season. We got an actually good kiss, we got dancing, we got talking things through. I’m personally on the ‘she said the kiss was awkward because she still thinks a relationship and powers at the same time is impossible’-train but even if they’ll never be romantic soulmates I’m so happy they get to be any kind of soulmates

The MM and stepdad drama was so captivating, like I don’t even care about MM and his ex wife getting back together it’s just that she and Janine need to get away from that guy

The toxic masculinity theme this season was just so on point like the contrast between Hughie and MM grappling with their own senses of masculinity and trying not to hurt those around them because of it versus Soldier Boy and Homelander craving toxic masculinity and then Butcher who is just constantly swinging back and forth because he refuses to believe he can get better but he also can’t give up

Ryan??? I am scared.

Also Reggie! The redemption might actually be starting I can feel it!! Especially when Hughie said that line about saving those who don’t deserve it.

Honestly I’m just so happy about this season and excited about what’s to come. There is so much that can happen based on this season alone.
