the moonlight pours  over the dusky beach, the stars as clear as can be without a cloud to ruin the sight. the way the ocean waters twinkle beneath the lunar presence is reminiscent to the shine of his brethren above. there isn’t a single soul to be seen, naught but one, a nervous warrior of the cosmos readying to face his greatest battle yet: romancing.

he’d worked painstakingly at the red velvet cupcakes he’s since packed into a plastic container, kept safely away from the elements. no one likes a sandy cupcake, after all, let alone served for something as important as this. luigi’s and mallow’s help had been greatly appreciated, and when he assured them that he’d figure things out from there, he didn’t realize how long it’d take. after the two left him to his devices, he’d began ruminating, fighting with his own thoughts to figure himself out and come to a decision, nearly getting cold feet.

maybe he shouldn’t have waited four hours before making up his freaking mind, because now, it’s midnight. mario’s probably asleep now... but there’s no way he can just call everything off. he has to go through with it. he has to stick to his guns here!

with a deep breath, thumbs hurriedly type at the digital keyboard on his phone, cross-legged on the large towel he’d gotten for them. he’s already messing this up, he’s sure, but there is no backing out now. he’s committed!

     “I can’t even recall the last time I’ve had a sparring match. Plenty of fights, yes of course. But willingly sparring with another individual? It’s been quite the number of nights since then.” And the fact that the cycle had been broken by Mario of all people wasn’t lost on her. Really, it provided no shock. Most of the populous would run at the mere prospect of challenging her on the battlefield, let alone going up to the executioner and asking for their final fight. Then there were the headstrong fools that ignored the warnings and fought her anyways, and that dipped into the point of plenty of fights. More of those than she could count. 

     A spar was a willing, precognitive fight. You knew what you were getting into, and with Rosalina? You stayed away from that at all chances. Her smile shined at Mario, though, she saw him as no fool. Nothing but an ambitious warrior training with the best, pushing his limits, wherever they may lie, and striving to go beyond. He was one of the toughest people he knew. If anyone could withstand the might of her abilities, Mario was certainly one of the highest candidates. It was a spar, so she wouldn’t be aiming for critical damage, but believe her when she says that she will not be holding back.

     Neck twists and pops, joints clenching and cracking. Torso snapped back and forth, letting loose similar sounds all around. Then, with a flick of the wrist, her wand appeared in a plume of stardust, ready. “Set to fight whenever you are, Mario! Keep nothing from the field!”

Shirby was sort of used to being compared to Kirby, but being mistaken for Kirby in a way such as ‘dude why are you grey what happened to you’ was a tad bit more uncommon. Usually people just assumed they were the same species but a different person.

Shirby didn’t mind it.

“Oh, you don’t know? Whenever someone of my species reaches maturity we become grey. We’re only pink when we’re babies. Honestly, the color change was pretty coincidental. I’m totally into emo bands and stuff now. I love angsty music, it’s so deep! It’s really super emotional, it touches the soul and all that. Really gave me a new outlook on life.”

It made for a great way to pull people’s legs, after all.

From it, transparent bands of pink and white, conjured from sheer magic, would appear around Rosalina’s wrists, a starry decor rounding their slowly rotating image. 

     Fingers danced lightly on and above Mario’s wounded arm, sending a warm healing sensation across his injuries, nullifying the pain at a gradual pace. “You have friends in this world, dear, and a whole lot of them. Utilize them, it’s what they would want, and only they can deem what’s best for them. It’s their thought, after all. You’re not forcing them to help, and you can’t force them to stand aside, either. Those who love you are going to help you.” Hand moved, pinky extending to give a light poke at Mario’s chest.

     “Me included~.” She softly laughed, eyebrow quirking in a playful hitch.

this is very sudden and probably random, but it’s been three days that i want to throw some positivity out there for two roleplayers that don’t know about me, but i constantly read their roleplays and they’re SO GOOD! the other night i woke up and couldn’t sleep anymore, so i started to read a thread of their that i wanted to read for a long time, and i was in tears for how good it was written! and the emotions they described!! I CRIED. and when a bad thing happened to one of the characters in the roleplay, I SAID “NOOO” OUT LOUD!!

these two roleplayes are @sternenteile and @regionalcoins! and for the stars FOLLOW THEM. YOU WON’T REGRET IT,, you guys are seriously amazing and talented writers! i will always stay here in my corner cheering everytime i see one of your posts on my dash, because you’re truly amazing. <3 keep on going with this awesomeness!!
