I suddenly fell back into the "second-year Sakuma Rei" phase, so catch a few of my random headcanons.

✵ The second-year Sakuma Rei, who steals food from others with the words "well, since you insist☆" (NO ONE insisted).

✵ Rei, who can sometimes be found sitting motionless with an empty expression on his face, staring at nothing with sad and thoughtful eyes. When he notices that you have come, he immediately smiles.

✵ Rei, who sometimes laughs like "HO-HO-HO♪" putting his hands on his belt and dramatically raising his head.

✵ Rei, who periodically takes out completely unexpected things from his bag or pockets (a screwdriver, a folding knife, mints, plush toys and a DAMN GUN).

✵ This guy canonically often hung out on the roofs of school buildings. So I swear that sometimes he hung upside down from the roof and scared passersby (and laughing maliciously at the same time).

✵ If he trusts you enough, then sometimes, sitting next to you, he may even imperceptibly put his head on your shoulder and close his eyes. If you don't scare him off, he may fall asleep (such a kitten, meow)

✵ Sometimes, when he's not doing strangely chaotic shit, he can casually but affectionately pat you on the head and say something like, "well, the main thing is that you're happy, no matter what you do." At such moments, it begins to seem that you saw another person for a second.

✵ He likes to pick you up in his arms as much as he likes to sneak up on you from behind, that is, VERY MUCH.

✵ He pretends to be self-confident for a long time when he gets tired. It will take some time before he really admits that he needs a rest.

✵ Despite his rude speech, he never wants to offend anyone. Therefore, he immediately apologizes if he realizes that he has seriously hurt someone's feelings.

✵ He spends a lot of time styling his hair in the morning, because it curls a lot, falls over his eyes, does not keep styling for too long and generally turns into what we always see on his head in the future (he just lost hope).

✵ Sometimes he can jokingly whisper things in your ear in a sultry voice that do not fit this intonation at all. Something like "A delicious steak was served in the dining room today~".

i. heartache

you knew what you were getting into. falling in love with a person who was already in love. you saw the admiration in their eyes when they looked at their beloved. you saw the smitten look on their face.

but you were in love, utterly infatuated. it was sickening. and you knew you had two choices: either move on from this little crush or enjoy your feelings while it lasts. thus, you chose the latter. you didn’t want to think about the possible results of your love, of the rejection you’d face.

so you simply decided to roll with it. pretend that they didn’t love anyone, and enjoy the small moments the two of you had. giggling at words they told you, staying up late just to talk with them.

so then what are you guys? of course, you don't want to end up as just a classmate. and you don't want to just think of them as a simple hallway crush. you want to be more to them. a friend or something more. you wanted to at least exist to them, for them to know you're there.

and of course, every friendship has to come to an end, and you had a fallout. you don't remember what it was, but you think it was related to you moving away since you both promised to stay with each other forever, despite how childish the promise might've been. you don't recall the words you said, only the tears on your old friends face and a feeling of guilt in your chest.

rei sakuma... a plague living in your mind. how can you avoid that outstanding creature when he's everywhere or at least that was what you can spot the last few days.

you were running some grocery errands late last night. who did you bump into? rei sakuma. he, too, was doing some late night shopping. he said its better for him to do it at night as he's more active, therefore strong enough to carry his grocery and offer that he could carry yours as well. you scoff and rejected the offer and bid farewell, leaving the vampire alone.

you were having lunch with kaoru the other day. did rei pop out again? yes, he did. he joked about how kaoru was "cheating on him" and how kaoru was "stolen" by you! kaoru could only laugh bitterly at his friend and apologise to you for your sudden change of mood. you were glaring, clearly pissed off at the ruby eyed man. you just wanted to share some company with the blonde, seeing as he was alone in the cafeteria. he seemed to enjoy your company, striking a conversation with you until rei came. you excused yourself shortly after rei sat and starting yapping your ear off about stealing kaoru.

this was the last straw! you bumped into rei along the corridors. falling from the impact as he offers a hand.

" no stop, " you push his hand away.

" what? " he questions.

" why are you following me around, stalker? " you brush yourself up as he stares bewildered.

" oh, " he softly chuckles.

" coincidence? " you pout at his words. you can't believe him. he smiles at your reaction.

" yeah I'm aware, I didn't see him though. " izumi sighs once more before bidding you and rei farewell to continue his search for his fellow member.

" well? you can't be following me everywhere now, can you? " rei's silence was definitely deafening.

" happy valentines? " he walk past you as fast as the words were spilled.

you continued on with your day. everything felt oddly normal. it's the day of love, you received and handed chocolates. you had prepared chocolate for rei too. it was odd if you gave chocolate to everyone from undead and his brother than him. you couldn't give him, his earlier since your bag wasn't with you. you contemplated between finding him or going home. you could give him tomorrow. its already 6 pm, would he still be here?

you decide to walk around the garden, for once you hope he'd be here. he was indeed there with kaoru no less.

" oh... hey y/n! " kaoru greets first, hoping you'll save him from the grip rei has on his arm.

" hey... " you greet back.

" it's late, are you going home soon? " rei starts.

walking home with rei was a special occurrence. he wasn't as chatty as you expected, he listens and prompts the conversation. arriving at your doorstep, you're quick to stop him from turning on his heels.

" here. " you hand him the chocolate as he blushes a bit at the action.

he takes a step forward and gives you kiss on the cheek. " be honest, you like me too? " he laughs.

this is a boy who is going to be so clingy. he is so incredibly possessive of you. can you really blame him? he doesn’t have too many people he can rely on, you’re special to him.

his abandonment issues are not helping him at all in this case… hell, just seeing you and rei smile at each other can put him in a bad mood.

he’s a perceptive guy. he knows rei has an eye on you as well, and he hates it. he’s upset that of all people, rei’s vying for your affection. and he’s upset that after all he and his brother have done to try to mend their relationship, there’s another obstacle in the road.

ritsu’s love languages are probably quality time and physical touch, so he uses that to his advantage – spending long lengths of time lounging on your lap, napping so that you can’t in good conscience leave his side. other times he just simply slings an arm around your shoulder or waist and keeps you close to him – it’s comforting to him, being able to physically feel you beneath his fingertips

he’s not above physically pulling you away when he sees you talking to rei. ritsu does love his brother! but he loves you too.

he probably requires lots of reassurance… make sure he knows he’s loved please.

Glaring at the figure that sat on their knees in front of the altar, Tatsumi knew his true nature was already exposed. Soft chuckles bounced off from the church’s walls, ringing in their ear as he approached Y/n’s form, placing a hand on their shoulder, almost reassuring them. After all, he’s hurt many people in the past, what’s one more soul to him that could beg for forgiveness but never truly meant it?

“People come and go, even if I had to plead for forgiveness a million times, I’d do whatever you’d ask me to, my one and only.”

Rei Sakuma

Hands craddled their hair softly, enjoying the feeling and taste of his beloved’s blood, groaning in pleasure at the thought of killing someone for them. A bloody mess, all for them; he’s killed before, countless of times. Mostly for blood but, now that he has them, what more could he ask for? Maybe he could do something about the pesky guys who have tried to touch y/n…After all, the world is better off without them.

A scoff could be heard across the room as Sena turned towards them. The council room was silent, the small tapping of the computer Eichi was writing on had briefly come to a halt. His eyes bored into their own as he smiled, but something about it didn’t feel..quite right. As if, there was another deep meaning behind that smile, perhaps true happiness upon hearing the question? Who knows? All that Eichi cared about was the power he had in his hands to manipulate and change stories into whatever he wanted them to be.
