I’m finally watching Girls Planet 999 and I’m on episode 4, so I just wanted to ramble about ‘The Eve’ team and the whole situation with Fu Yaning and the part division.

To be honest, I don’t like Fu Yaning as a leader, she seems much too focused on what benefits her as opposed to the team as a whole. She knows she’s talented and I think she’s got too ahead of herself. The role of a leader isn’t to force those that you’re leading into doing things they’re unhappy with, but to help them find a middle ground that benefits everyone.

The way she first decided to distribute parts (the fact that she automatically made herself the person who gets to make the decisions on parts also kind of rubbed me the wrong way) was extremely unfair. I know Mnet was trying to find a sob-story edit in the group, which they ended up being given more than enough for, but Dayeon was justified in being upset. All the girls in that team were exceptionally talented, but the difference between someone like Dayeon and Yaning is that Yaning is someone that would be fine with speaking over others if it meant getting herself heard. Dayeon doesn’t seem to be someone who is confident talking like that, so of course, Yaning is going to run unchecked. The whole part allocating system seemed to be set up in a very beneficial way for Yaning - if someone she saw as competition didn’t get the first part they tried out for, it would give a perfect excuse to stick them in vocal part 8 without any backlash because they knew what they were getting into when they decided to try out for a part they might not get. 

I do find it a little bit sly how Dayeon told the instructors about what had happened in front of all the other teams, but she was once again, in my opinion, justified. She probably thought that it was the only place she could force her teammates to listen without Yaning bringing up that it was ‘fair’, which I highly believe would have happened if she’d tried when they were on their own. I do feel bad for the other team members, Ruiqi seemed fully ready with re-allocating the parts even when it meant she would lose one of her own and Sheon (I’m gonna go with Sheon cause that’s what she uses now) obviously felt the same way - like she couldn’t speak about it without being shot down.

The whole situation was really uncomfortable to watch, so I can’t even imagine how Dayeon or the others must have felt themselves.

*maybe spoiler idk* Do you have a top nine for gp999? Or just some favorites to win? I vote for Yujin every round no matter what. I also really like Hikaru (because eyes -.-). Cai Bing *sobs* was my third so I don’t have a C group fav anymore. I’ll vote any of them I guess or just about anyone that isn’t Fu Na Ying.

My ideal top nine would've probably included Ruan, Cai Bing and Hsinwei 🥲 I'm a little biased towards the Chinese trainees because I watch YWY and PD Camp but my picks from each group would be Youngeun, Ruiqi, and Ruan (she deserved literally thirteenth or higher and I will gladly die on that hill) Mashiro. Girls Planet 999 - a rant

I just saw a rumor of what the new top 9 will look like and I'm low-key (maybe high key) angry and that's basically because of one girl. Here's what top 9 currently looks like

Some girls, like Hikaru and Mashiro, I don't really get the hype, however they don't bother me. If they make the debut group, which is highly likely, I won't be angry at all. Think of it like this, they are good additions but if I could swap them for other trainees I would.

It's a good thing that Cai Bing is no longer on top 9, not because of the whole evil editing thing. In my last post she made top 9 however I changed my mind because I saw a video on how she's always ahead of everyone else and it made me question whether she is actually good or if she got a high rank because of how pretty she is and because she got in top 9 the masters created.

But why would you guys replace her with Fu Ya Ning. Just why? I do believe that she's had some evil editing done to her, but like with Cai Bing, somethings she said because she wanted to. No one told her, I believe so, to go ahead and say "we go up but you don't", no one told her to look at the judges like she was somehow better than them, no one told her to look at Su Yeon in her all rounder cell and say that she didn't look like much. Performance wise she isn't bad but she isn't great either.

And finally we have Su Ruiqi. She was in my top 9 on the previous post that I made but it was mostly because I didn't know who to vote for so because everyone seemed to like her I put her there. And this time around she's here because I get odd vibes from her. It's not that she's done anything in particular, though her not wanting to practice because she didn't get the part she wanted was a dick move and everyone defending her for that are kind of way too into their own head because this a kpop group and some times shit doesn't make any sense and girls that have good vocals and performance stability get few lines (jeongyeon from twice says hi). So yeah, I'd change her for anyone else, except Cai Bing.

On my last post I talked about Bahiyyih, so I wanted to mention her again. She's grown a lot, got a lot better and with maybe another year on training she'll be really good. I don't see her debuting with the group as her ranking has been dropping, although she's really popular internationally (I won't get into the question of whether people actually like her or they vote for her because of her brother) in Korea people are sort of boycotting her (this may have changed since I last saw it).

Here's what my top 9 would look like (there's no particular order for this, I just want my girls to make)

I know Kotone will be eliminated in this round and Manami has no chance whatsoever to make the cut. But I like them, they have impressed me. In their place, only looking at the current top 9 (still a rumor) I would put Masahiro and Dayeon. And there you have it, a great group. I would really like to Shana to make the cut but I think she's someone who won't, unfortunately.

That's it, that's my rant based on a rumor I saw on Twitter. But the rumor for elimination 2 was also correct so... yeah

my opinion: i might be biased but YES they had the fun part, the personal part, the iconic chorus, everything without even being rappers. so much respect to all three, because they all nailed it and manami might be my new jpick!

Huh Jiwon

Sorry I'm biased she's one of my absolute faves in CB, she's honestly an allrounder, weakest at singing but especially great at dancing. Also I think she's just really likeable and obviously so pretty, love her sm.

Kim Bora

Once again, I'm biased and once again one of my faves in CB. Such a great vocalist and a really good dancer. Also I just think she seems like a such a nice person, gives me leader vibes.

An Jeongmin

I loved her voice a lot.

C-Group

Wu Tammy

She stood out to me bc she sounded really stable in her audition, which a lot of girlies don't. No shade though, I would sound like a dying whale trying to sing while dancing. Also her dancing was really great and energetic. I wanna see more.

Fu Yaning

Ok look, yes she was cocky, there's a huge difference between arrogance and confidence but we gotta remember we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. The producers could have literally told her to diss Yujin + the editors edit certain people a certain way and I just can't look past her talent, she was truly so good and I would hate seeing that go to waste and I fear that not many people will vote for her. Also it doesn't affect my voting but she's soso pretty.

Xia Yan

Not much to say except beautiful stable voice which always stands out to me.

Kawaguchi Yurina

Her voice really surprised me, she sounded so stable, got that typical japanese nasality but not to a point where it's annoying. Also a pretty girl.

Kamikura Rei

Omg pls, she was so good! How she wasn't a candidate for the top 9 I don't understand. I kinda love her already, vote for her!

Ezaki Hikaru

I feel like she's the only really popular one I voted for, I just had to, she's crazy good, especially at rapping and I'm a sucker for that. Also her stage presence is great and I think she's really pretty.

Ever since the demo Snapping stage, she caught my attention. I’ve been obsessed with her ever since. Her confidence, the way she commanded the stage like a debuted idol. Her moves were sharp, her voice was pretty and stable. (the outfit, blue hair, the visuals i could go on.) Another example: if you listen to the recording of Fate imo her voice suits the tone of the song best.

I always saw her as a strong Top 9 contender, but her attention got lower and her position kept slipping. the snake evil editing made sure she was out. ruiqi has shown her funny and sweet personality in this show. In Ep 1 there was a segment about how she help the other Cs with the signal song. she’s often goofing off with other contestants. that particular situation she messed up but we would too in the stress of a survival show. she has cycled through multiple shows to come at the skill and confidence level of C 02 and i don’t want her to go home again.

Please vote for Su Ruiqi. Thank you.

k group picks: kim bora and yujin of course… but I have a feeling that mnet doesn’t want anyone who has already debuted on the team. also I feel like yujin hasn’t wow’d me in recent episodes—she plays it too safe :( like girl I KNOW how talented you are it hurts. Other picks: Kim doah (I don’t think she will make it bc of lack of push from mnet since she’s already debut too), kang yeseo (I think she will blow us away in the next episode) kim da yeon (great choreo, could have used LESS screen time however …) seo youngeun (I just like her LOL she’s great at dancing and facial expressions)

c group picks: I still really like cai bing and shen xiaoting! su ruiqi is similar to yujin in where I feel like I haven’t seen her shine in a while even tho I know she’s talented. wen zhe of course I love her personality so much. Ziyin I really like also; she gives off such a mature vibe like she could already be friends with sunmi or something. notable mention zhang luofei (she’s so cute idk !)

j group picks: yurina has been my number one since now but idk… she has the charm and personality but talent wise is lacking.. manami def rose for me after her performance. #JUSTICE FOR KUBO REINA. She ALWAYS outsings everyone. When the judges were evaluating them they gave praise to yurina but none to reina.. insane. Mashiro shined with her leadership and direction (she’s #1 in Japan which is crazy). Also really like nonoka shana as a vocalist so far

Okay, here we go. Like gp999 was like Korean = Hero's Chinese = Villains Japanese = Non Existent. Like why?? What does Mnet have against non Koreans? They also said that Ke1per is a International Group and just had 3 foreigners. (And then some people bash the members but not Mnet smh) Also the International votes being counted less then the Korean votes? And not letting foreigners use translators when they promised that they could? And Itzy not winning fem best group performance at MAMA's, how?

Mnet is shit. I remember losing respect for Cai Bing when she was painted up as an unfair leader who wanted all credit for herself but then when I saw how Mnet had manipulated the editing I was so disappointed! How can editing and manipulation lead to Cai Bing going from one of my favorite contestants to me thinking that she deserved being eliminated! This woman lost her chance to show her talents bc Mnet edited her in a way that manipulated the viewers into thinking she’s a bad person!

Chinese contestants were painted as villains who wanted to dominate the room and neglect their partners and Japanese contestants apparently didn’t exist and weren’t expected to be talented at all. However I noticed already from episode 1 that the Korean contestants had some kind of superiority complex and that was disappointing bc gp999 wasn’t supposed to be a contest between contestants from different countries but rather artists from different countries coming together as a unity for their passion of performing and Kpop and showing that ppl from different cultural backgrounds can work in harmony!

A list of Mnet’s mistakes in gp999:

Not providing translators which led to Korean contestants having an unfair advantage

Valuing Korean votes over international votes

Editing Chinese contestants as villains

Not letting contestants pick own songs for the first episode

Removing the k-c-j voting system

I love Kep1er but I cannot deny that the lineup was unfair. Kawaguchi Yurina and Su Ruiqi were supposed to debut and I’m not saying that because they were some of my fav contestants but they were consistently in top9!
