A mysterious novel writer, Hachijo Ikuko

ikuko pics from earlier this year!! my friends let me dress up at their place and pose with some books etc, co-starring their cat mochi. i also brought her to otakon this past july!!

she was my first fully from-scratch cosplay outfit and i am very happy with our weird old gal! the dress, coat, and shawl are all handmade. the brooch is a 3d-printed model that i matched to the dimensions of a big ol rock i got, same with the necklace gem. actually, i built the dress twice: once just on a basic pattern and a second time when i was more comfortable modding patterns to get the coiled frills to integrate cleanly

for right now, i am using the Soo and Carrots Grammar Textbook to learn Korean grammar, and I think it's going well.

가다 means to go, 오다 means to come. They are both used with 에 to show the direction/destination. In this situation, it is translated as "to". For example:

언니가 오늘 학교에 와요. My sister comes to school today.

지금 집에서 가요. Im going home now.

록시 씨는 도서관에 가요. Ruxi goes to the library.
