“I remember his hands And the way the mountains looked The light shot diamonds from his eyes Hungry for life And thirsty for the distant river Like the scar of age Written all over my face The war is still raging inside of me I still feel the chill As i reveal my shame to you I wear it like a tattoo” Lyrics from Sade, Like A Tattoo Painting: SADE (Portrait of Sade Adu v1), 2023 4 ft x 3ft #TheCOLLAZO #SadeAdu #Sade #SongWritersHallOfFame @songwritershof @sade @sadeadufp (at Worldwide) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnmoL2qJthi/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
not to be a gatekeeper but a certain demographic of Sade's fans suck. if it's not the old ones it's the young ones. WTF IS A SADE GIRL? associating a basic ass fit to Sade as an individual and as a band is crazy business.(yes, I hate fun. fight me)
one thing I hate is that people use Sade Adu's image and status to put other women down. like I guarantee you if you go to her ytube videos rn, there's probably a fuckass comment saying "back when women didn't need to swear, show their body blah blah blah". I hate how people use Sade as some sort of vehicle to hate artists like Beyonce and the likes. Sade never stood for any of that hateful shit and stayed in her lane, that's why people like her. and Im sure they're the same demographic that would and will INSTANTLY misgender her trans son whom she loves and supports.
