"I Love Them And I Love That They're There For Each Other." 🥺🩷
[Liam Vickers (The Creator Of Murder Drones) Talking About N And Uzi.] (GLITCH X 2023)
In all seriousness though, although I'm a Nuzi/Biscuitbites shipper and all, I overall really do love and adore how much N and Uzi's relationship has blossomed and developed over the course of the show so far and how much closer the two have gotten. Whether you see them as either platonic or potential lovers, you can't deny that these two are absolutely adorable and badass, and just work so damn well off one another, they're honestly the heart of the show, in my opinion. (◡ ω ◡) You can honestly see the friendship and connection between the two and see that they do deeply care about one another and bring the best out of each other, it's honestly understandable why so many fans love the pairing between these two and their dynamic and find it comforting, because there's so much charm and even relatability to both characters. You truly do believe in their bond and their relationship is only going to get so much stronger once the final two episodes of the season are released next year, especially with the huge amount of stakes involved now + with N having to choose between either saving the universe or potentially killing Uzi.
N X Uzi is pretty much a slow burn, it's taking its time before things get serious between the two. To me, nothing in my eyes feels forced or rushed unlike other romances in pieces of media I've seen which didn't have the best development and growth, or the right amount of it. Although, relationships like N and Uzi have been done so many times and can be seen as cliche, (which I can get behind!) that doesn't always mean it's automatically bad and horrible, some cliche tropes for potential couples can/have worked as long as they're written correctly and done well! For me, when it comes to my favorite ships I like for them to have chemistry and believability and show the connection between the characters.
Honestly, for any romances/relationships in pieces of media to come across as believable than the audience must be convinced that the couple is genuinely connected and N and Uzi fit this category although we're only in the first season and we aren't sure what the future holds for the show, there's more potential to show more growth and development for N and Uzi and their relationship, with the potential of them being more! I honestly don't see how these two wouldn't end up together by the end especially after so much buildup and teasing only to have the two end up with different characters at the end of the show, it would've definitely left a bad taste in the fans mouths and would've been pointless. It would be understandable for N and Uzi to get together and it works, as not only do they have the strongest dynamic and relationship out of all the characters but throughout all the episodes (so far, at least) the two have shown to start growing closer and closer, the show has hinted at them being something more eventually. ❤️
Now, of course, anything can go and Envy might end up being the endgame couple instead, especially after V's sacrifice and her growing character development things could change. But, I honestly don't really see them getting together and besides, He and V could still be friends and connect and not everyone needs to get/be in a relationship to be happy. V doesn't need to be in a relationship with N to be happy, she needs to improve herself first and become a better person which is what she's slowly doing and as said, she can still find happiness in a found family and friendship, she can still find happiness in other places! 💙💞

Alright, I’m bored again so I’m going to rank all of the arcs from best to worst:
Great:
1. Hero Killer Arc: This arc and number 2 on this list proves that MHA had such potential. Watching Izuku grow and his efforts/impact on other people being acknowledged was great to see. We’ve got fantastic growth for the three main characters and a very good antagonist(despite some issues I have with Stain’s goal). Best of all, no Katsuki.
2. Shie Hissaki Arc: another great arc with a lot of great fights and characters. Watching Izuku vs Overhaul was thrilling and being introduced to The Big 3 and some cool pro heroes was a treat. There are some issues I have with this arc, such as how Overhaul’s motivations suck (he sees quirks as cooties when he literally has the best quirk in Japan) and that some characters could’ve been developed more (I would’ve loved to see more from the Eight Bullets and Nejire), but it was overall a good experience. And again, no Katsuki.
3. USJ Arc: Other than Katsuki’s dumbass endangering everyone and not getting called out for it, I had a blast with this arc. Solid character interactions all around and a fantastic fight to end it all off.
4. U.A Festival Arc: Gentle was a breath of fresh air in terms of villains and I really enjoyed his fight with Izuku. This would’ve been number 3 if not for the fact Izuku gets yelled at for doing his job and Katsuki gets another point added to him being a Gary Stu by revealing yet another talent he has that he shouldn’t.
Good:
5. Entrance Exam Arc: It was a solid setup for getting to know Izuku, All Might, and the world of MHA. It was one of the few times that the narrative wasn’t sucking on Katsuki’s dick too.
6. Forest Training Arc: The final arc that I’d consider good. We’ve got some solid moments here. Fumikage going berserk, Mezou carrying everyone to safety being introduced to the main LoV members, Izuku vs Muscular, and the character of Kota were nice additions to the series. We even got to see some of 1-B, even if it wasn’t much.
Alright:
7: Meta Liberation Arc: Now we’re in the area where these arcs aren’t bad, but they clearly exist just to set things up. This is an arc that would’ve been fantastic if it wasn’t for the fact it led nowhere. Yes, a good chunk of the LoV received fantastic development but the MLA were so lame, and by that, I mean they’re introduced here only to serve as canon fodder in the next arc.
8. Pro Hero Arc: I don’t really have any complaints about this arc nor do I have anything to say outside the fact Endeavor’s fight with the High End was pretty neat.
9. Hideout Raid Arc: only reason this isn’t in the “good” or “great “ category is cause it was centered around Katsuki. All Might vs AFO was a fantastic conclusion to the first saga of MHA and I liked seeing the rescue squad in action… even though Katsuki made it a pain to be rescued.
10. U.A traitor Arc: I don’t really care about this arc for two reasons, one is that the foreshadowing leading up to this moment sucked and that we never really got to spend enough time with Yuuga to care much about the reveal.
Bad:
11. Endeavor Agency Arc: Now we’re at the part where I dislike all of these arcs. This is an arc that Katsuki ruins due to him being a shitty character. Him yelling at a trauma victim to stop talking about her trauma in her own damn house was obnoxious. Katsuki didn’t need to be in this arc whatsoever. Remove him and this arc would’ve had a much higher rating for actually tackling Endeavor’s character and relationship with his family in a solid manner.
12. Sports Festival Arc: The Sports Festival Arc would’ve been fantastic it is weren’t for certain points. First off, this is where the Katsuki dick sucking really began. Shota acts like a mouthpiece for Katsuki even though the people booing him were right in the fact that he could’ve ended the fight easily. He also wasn’t taking Ochako seriously at all, literally announcing “it’s time to get serious” once her strat failed. He should’ve lost against Shoto too seeing as Shoto’s ice is a direct counter to his quirk. Finally, Katsuki had no right listening in on Shoto and Izuku’s conversation and demanding anything from Shoto, a point that’s never addressed. Secondly, all the Gen Ed kids were assholes for no reason. Who in their right mind sees 1-A going through a traumatic experience as them seeing themselves better than everyone else? Yeah, Katsuki gave off a bad impression but he’s just one guy. Finally, this was the arc that introduced Hitoshi, a failed attempt by Hori at tackling the idea of prejudice. Instead of someone bitter at the world for being screwed by society, we got an entitled bitch.
13. Remedial Course Arc: as much as I love Gang Orca, this arc served no purpose. Katsuki gives off a line that feels undeserved seeing as he’d go off undermining people afterwards but this arc’s biggest flaw was that it really didn’t have to exist.
Crap:
14. Battle Trial Arc: Now we’re in the really bad arcs. The Battle Trial Arc is once again ruined by Katsuki. Despite being told by All Might not to fire that explosion, he still does. Yes, he aimed it in a way that it wouldn’t kill Izuku, but the fact that All Might was worried that it could’ve killed Izuku meant that firing that thing in a narrow hallway could’ve seriously injured him. Katsuki suddenly switching up his fighting style despite having no formal training’s the first instance of his plot armor showing up, with the second being that he wasn’t disqualified. Katsuki being afraid of 1-A’s potential went nowhere cause he ended up winning the Sports Festival and would undermine 1-A constantly. Finally, Izuku telling Katsuki about his “borrowed power” was dumb. Everything else was fine though, but not enough to make up for Katsuki’s flaws.
15. Paranormal Liberation Arc: Would’ve been much higher but there are several glaring flaws. Izuku defending Endeavor’s character was one of those moments where I audibly groaned. Katsuki’s plot armor kicks it up into turbo gear by having him have a quirk awakening, surviving an attack that should’ve destroyed his stomach with zero consequences, and giving him an unearned “my body moved on its own” moment.
16. Quirk Apprehension Exam: This arc introduces Shota… and makes all of his flaws known to the audience. I have several posts going over why he sucks and this is the episode that shows it all off. Only thing keeping this from being ranked lower is cause we were also introduced to 1-A.
Shit:
17. Star and Stripe Arc: We’re close to the bottom of the barrel now. Hori introduces a character he never foreshadowed once despite Star and Stripe being the top pro hero of another country and immediately kills her. It does nothing to the plot either. “Oh but it nerfed Tomura” that’s what Hori tells us. Do we actually see what quirks Tomura lost? In fact, after this, his quirk evolves to counter Eraserhead’s. At best all this arc did was stall for time.
18. Dark Hero Arc: what a waste of potential. This would’ve been ranked lower if it wasn’t for Ochako’s speech, Izuku vs Muscular 2, and Izuku helping that fox lady. What makes it shit though? First off, Izuku suddenly unlocks the rest of his quirks. Secondly, 1-A thinks that the best way to get Izuku back is to show up, beat him up, and then kidnap him back to U.A. Third, the pros were offering Izuku no support. He was hungry, tired, and dirty, yet not once did any of them think “hey, if we’re using him as bait to draw AFO out, maybe we should keep him healthy so he can help us once we ambush AFO”. Fourth, Katsuki’s role in this arc. He demeans Izuku in front of his friends, daring to compare Izuku’s desire to protect everyone to him having an ego, and then gives an absolutely poorly timed and terrible apology. God this arc sucks.
19. Joint Training Arc: Oh look, another Katsuki dick sucking session. Sorry, but 1-B does not redeem how awful this arc is. Katsuki’s praised to the moon and back, insults his classmates and the former OFA users with no repercussions, and earns yet another victory. “But he saved Kyouka” but not out of being a good person. He only wanted the victory. Maybe this could’ve been a good step if Katsuki’s arc wasn’t Hori’s attempt at speedrunning a character arc. Yui getting beat by Ochako so effortlessly will forever bother me as one of Yui’s 5 fans (this girl has a 5/6 A+ skill stat, which is higher than Ochako’s). Also, Hitoshi’s here, but he’s actually tolerable here so I’m not going to rant about him.
Super Shit:
20. Provisional License Arc: This is going to be a short write cause there’s not much to be said. It’s yet another Katsuki dick sucking session where the narrative wanks him off. Then there’s Kacchan vs Deku 2, which if you’ve read any of my blogs, you know that this was once my least favorite moment of the series. If you wanna know why this moment was so crap, I have dozens of posts about why it does. And yes, I said it was once my least favorite moment. What’s to come somehow managed to beat it in terms of sheer crap.
I can’t think of any singular phrase to describe how terrible this arc is:
21. Final War Arc: How ironic that the end of the series is also at the end of this list. Where do I even begin? Well, there’s Miruko being the subject of someone’s gore fetish for the third time, AFO overstaying his welcome, Izuku hardly even doing anything, Tomura getting BS power ups up the wazoo, AFO and Izuku never meeting, the mutant portion being handled poorly, Dabi somehow gaining a power up that ultimately served no purpose, and Ochako and Himiko’s portion also being wrapped up poorly. However, what really makes this arc the bottom of the barrel is the dick sucking. Somehow, Katsuki’s able to last the longest against Tomura. Somehow Katsuki manages to score a hit just because he scared Tomura. Somehow Katsuki managed to survive having his heart, arm, and chest blown out via amateur surgery with absolutely no injuries despite being dead for like 5 min without a damn heart and heart surgery not being an answer for a broken arm. And finally, Katsuki gets yet another quirk power up and is now able to compete with AFO. This is THE arc where it’s clear Hori wanted Katsuki to be the protagonist and god damn I will argue that The Room and My Immortal is better than this clusterfuck of an arc.

My Thoughts Lumity and Huntlow (Sorta a Hot take)
Okay, I know this isn't a new discussion within the community, but does anyone else dislike how Lumity and Huntlow are written within the show by regressing their characters' arcs or traits just to be solely dependent on their canonical partners? (The episode "For the Future" I'm looking at you.) It's very prominent with Amity & Willow's side of the relationship, then Luz & Hunter.
Seriously, name more than one episode in Season 2 that focuses & carries on Amity's development for most of the duration, whether on her family dynamics or friendship with Willow, that doesn't immediately get sidelined for whatever Luz is doing or conflict she has.
Inherently, it's not bad for Amity to stop to check on Luz to see that she is okay. The problem is after that. The show writers don't show her concluding most of the arcs she strived for, allowing her to grow on her terms & seeking the potential of her character because of the tethering of Lumity, which serve no purpose in the narrative sense besides cute fluff that has no substance just like the chemistry between Hunter and Willow. (Sorry, I had to dunk on this ship.)
However, my biggest annoyance with these two ships is how they never address or show any conflict between the canonical partners, specifically how often Luz lies to Amity, which leaves Amity to self-doubting herself for Luz, or how Willow doesn't know anything about Hunter's trauma experiences with Belos. As a result, this writing choice often makes the relationships feel disingenuous about how much they mean to each other if one side isn't acknowledged.
In comparison, the dynamics of the relationships between Lunter & Raeda work within the show narratively so well because the show doesn't sacrifice Luz/Hunter & Raine/Eda's character and addresses both characters' conflict on equal footing, allowing both members of the relationship to have a good understanding each other making the dynamic feel stronger emotionally when both decide to help each other to overcome a mental obstacle. You can't tell me episodes like Hollow Mind, Thanks to Them, Eda's Requiem, Follies at the Coven Day Parade & O Titan Where Art Thou didn't have any emotional investment from you because you know you lying.
Another reason I consider Lunter & Raeda better than Lumity or Huntlow, besides feeling naturally paced & written within the show, is that they are not solely reliant on each other but can depend on each other. However, not to the point that they are incapable of holding their centric episodes of self-growth or selflessness, which all four members have proven multiple times that they can be independent.

There are now 10 main characters on The Rookie — rank them! 😈
Oh my gosh, seriously? This is just evil, Sarah! Evil! Okay, let’s see…
1. Tim
Before anyone comes at me with pitchforks, let me just clarify that I love Lucy too. But Tim edges her out for the top spot here because (1) he’s had such incredible character growth and the most consistent character arc, and (2) I relate to him the most. From the moment we watched him encounter Isabel in the pilot, I knew he was going to be such a complex and compelling character, and I just love him so much.
2. Lucy
For as much as I relate to Tim, I relate to certain aspects of Lucy as well. While I’ll never be remotely as badass as she is, I definitely understand her on an emotional and psychological level. She’s come such a long way, and I’ve enjoyed watching her find herself and her confidence. I am forever in awe of her ability to maintain a positive outlook on people and on the world, despite what’s happened to her. And I’m absolutely loving her arc so far in season 6!
3. Nyla
Give me a tale of growth and redemption, and I’m there. It’s one of my favorite things, to watch someone battle their demons and become a better version of themselves. And despite seeing her softer side come out, she still has nerves of steel and is such a badass. I feel like things have calmed down for her a bit recently and I’d love to see them dig into her complexity more in the coming episodes.
4. Angela
Oh, Angela. She’s strong. She’s feisty. She’s such a good friend to Tim. She’s so relatable with her pregnancies and the challenges of motherhood (of course, I say this as someone who has been through neither of those things). Honestly, how can you not love her? The only thing keeping her a little further down the list is the lack of character development we’ve seen for her recently.
5. Aaron
Honestly, I liked him from the start. But it’s another tale of redemption, of sorts, so I guess that’s not too surprising. I’ve enjoyed watching him learn and grow and find justice for his friend. And I think there’s more in store for him this season. Plus, he has so many unexpectedly hilarious moments that always crack me up.
6. Celina
I didn’t like Celina at all at first, but she’s grown on me as they’ve calmed her down. And her storyline with her mom did a lot to humanize her and endear me to her. I think she has the potential to bring a lot of complexity to the show and I hope we see more and more of that.
7. Grey
How can you not love him? He’s such a papa bear. I always enjoy the episodes that feature him more heavily, and I wish we got to see more of him. He’s such a calm presence, with his own moments of humor thrown in as well.
8. Wesley
I don’t dislike Wesley. He’s adorable, and he and James as bffs are so much fun! I just don’t feel like I have a lot to go off of here. He had some great scenes early on, but lately it’s seemed like they don’t entirely know what to do with him so they just don’t do much of anything.
9. Bailey
I’m not a Bailey hater but I’ve also never been a Bailey fan, for reasons others have already pointed out. Mainly, it’s the fact that she was too unrealistically good at everything, at least at first. They’ve toned that down some, and I actually liked the abusive husband storyline she had. But now the main issue is that she has no real place in the show and therefore no depth. We see her with Nolan or we see her inexplicably popping up at crime scenes, and that’s it. She just doesn’t really fit the show but they’ve tried to wedge her in, and it’s made for a character that’s just difficult to invest in or relate to.
10. Nolan
Again, I don’t dislike Nolan. I actually liked him a lot initially. But now I just could not possibly be less invested in him. Seemingly no matter what he does or what situation he ends up in, he finds his way out with few to no consequences. And when you know that’s how it’s going to end, there are no stakes.

astrology app for clowning purposes: interaction (post 3)
this is the third post about running birth dates of two amazing gentlemen through the astrology app called TimePassages
I don't take astrology too seriously, mainly i use it for generating "possible character cards" in my creative writing exercises, to think outside the box of my own habitual thinking
but of course i am curious. and i ran the option of analysing the potential for interaction between two persons, that this app offers. and copied parts of the text, not adding my own interpretation
what's about this connection?
they are coming together for some serious mutual healing, they can expect intense emotions and the exposing of their most cherished and unknown secrets through this relationship, perhaps unknown even to their conscious mind
there may be a feeling of being together for some karmic purpose
they have come together for some serious life purpose that can heal themselves and others, although everything this deep requires passage of time and reflections of higher awareness.
accepting, respecting and loving the woundedness in each other
each provide a loving and compassionate mirror to each other
there is a sanctuary for them both in this arrangement
home, family, business and romance are all supported
may feel a psychic bond, as though connected from some ancient, and perhaps unconscious, past experiences together
almost telepathic communication with each other
the expansion, growth and development of each of them activates work with public and world karma for the other
cooperation between them can be extremely fulfilling when they employ proper balance and discrimination
alike but different, getting along with similar styles and interests
can complement each other well
a terrific basis for communication in relationship, a great potential for teaching and learning, a happy connection productive of joy and wisdom
sharp and witty exchanges, and many interests in common
mutual exchange and quickening of their goals and visions together
love travel, movement and exploring ideas together
work together well, with room for inventive fantasy as well as practical understanding, enlivening loving approaches and shared purpose
planning and organising together is beneficial for them, with agreements strongly and clearly made
enjoyable sharing of eclectic ideas
their unique individualities ignite into mental gymnastics to stimulate practical innovation and vital exchange of ideas between them
ability to travel and work together, to understand and work with humanitarian and cultural perspectives
awakening of the mind brought by this partnership, stimulation of the individual uniqueness of each of them
together they are likely to enliven others with their gifts and understanding
strong and beneficial connection with each other
an idealized connection
an instant emotional rapport with one another
an intuitive sense of friendship and similarity
feel comfortable together, with a sense of commitment to mutual goals
the feeling is of desire to help and supply and to care for each other
feel a heightened response and receptivity for each other, partaking together of the nurturing side of life
a truly compassionate consideration of the partner’s needs in genuine loving surrender that may border on sacrifice
spiritually inspired love, friendship and mutual respect
loyalty is strong between them, with devotion maintained, and long-term practical sensitivity aligned with shared goals.
they help each other, feed each other and emote together in mutual acceptance, with warmth, affection, and a strong show of positive feeling, which is likely to be felt and shared by others
in a romantic context, this represents a supportive and feelings-oriented relationship, a powerfully symbolic statement about bonding, nurture, and loyalty for each other
protective toward each other
easy companions and enjoy living together, and sharing the same spaces
comfort and nurture each other, being natural emotional allies that together can forge a comfortable and safe home environment that keeps away the harsh realities of the mundane world
can lead and act boldly, have a willingness to be present with and enjoy each other, with strong attraction and liking
this aspect is good for the child in each of them, with a strong friendship, and warm caring comradeship, and harmony of response, an unusually good aspect for play and entertainment
enduring emotional sympathy
receptivity and congeniality, nurturing of each other in a rapport of peaceful feelings and sensual enjoyment, relaxing in trust and exploring the loving nature of life together
the older one will value and lend support to the emotional needs of the younger one, who in turn will nurture and encourage the aesthetic sensibility and values of the older one
the empathy and support of the older one are appreciated by the younger one, who also provides solid ground for the older one, at times either financially or in some creative form
the softer side of each of them is explored, along with the desire for artistic satisfaction, financial growth, and pleasure in general
welcome and embrace all forms of worldly enjoyment together with loving grace
jewelry and the arts play an important part in this relationship
beneficial acquisition of things together, as well as the simple pleasures of sharing
their relationship may involve music, dance, art, spirituality, and areas of service
they will likely share feelings of elegance, grace, and charm just being around each other, and take pleasure in natural settings or the enjoyment of the artistic events together
there is search for more and more experience in general
in a romantic context, they are in for happy times, romantic pleasures, playfulness, intense desire, expansive sexuality and creative lovemaking
there is a challenge or obstacle of some kind in this relationship, especially in the background macrosocial factors, related to working with masses and/or larger sociopolitical influence

i really hope garcia eventually ends up with Luke because it would have such a positive impact on media.
The writers had the opportunity to do something amazing with Morgan and decided against it. Having someone as Morgan, the to-the-tee beauty standard of a man, fall in love with Penelope, the very antithesis of what such man should have as a partner, would have been a great break on the big girl cliché. Ultimately, their platonic relationship had other impacts on how love presents in media, and while that's great, I presume the other topic would have been a lot more disruptive.
Both potential love interests, besides Kevin, that Penelope had ended up rejecting her one way or another, with the police guy even straight up shooting her, and Derek not ever deciding to explore the romantic aspect of their relationship.
Who do they pair her up with? The equally off-the-standard nerd guy that perfectly mirrors her personality. Nothing against Kevin, I love the guy, I think he was a great partner to Penelope, but seriously? The whole concept of "I'm only lovable by people who are similar to me" isn't only outdated, but cages characters, specially female ones, in boxes that inherently limit their growth.
Women in media with traditional "male" interests are often portrayed as unlovable, or their relationships written as if loving them was some sort of sacrifice or conquest, and more often than not it's the disapperance of those qualities and the transition into more "feminine" ones for the sake of "love" that is considered character development for them.
We have Penelope, who is a magnificent balance between the two. Kristen does a great job into not caging penelope in the nerdy girl cliché. She can be feminine and hack the shit out of federal databases, and she can be fashionable in her own special way, and she can handle the horrors by being a little silly everyday. And what do the writers do? Her realtionship is the one they cage into a 'standard', even when there's nothing standard about her.
Then there's Luke, who, from day one, has a shiton amount of chemistry with her, and whom subtly demonstrates attraction towards her, to the point of asking her out in the final ep. Luke, a military man, could be a model, could have 'anyone he wanted', a calm collected guy. Wouldn't they make the perfect contrast?
Having an off-the-standard and the-exact-standard couple would be such a win for those who don't fit, or feel they don't fit, the standard, specially considering that Penelope exists in a bigger body, and all without the need of her 'changing' for him.
The writers should have done this ages ago, and the impact won't be as widely spread if they do it in future evolution seasons, but it would still be so, so good for those young women out there wondering if they can get something like that with the bodies that they have.
Garvez would be a great statement to the way we view heterosexual relationships in media.

Debate the pros and cons of the two ships Gigolas (Alternatively Gimleaf, Gimli x Legolas) and Aragolas (Alternatively Leragorn, Aragorn x Legolas). Compare and contrast the two ships. You have half an hour (From the moment you start writing this ask, leave it in your inbox for as long as you wish). Go.
OKAY! Warning I know very little and there is probably a lot wrong or missing here! So right of the bat I'm seeing we've got different species and power dynamics at play
Gimli and Legolas are dwarf4elf, so that may be worth mentioning. If I'm remembering right, Gimli is also the "and my axe!" fucker, and I know Legolas is the shooty mcshootinson bitch, so right away we've got the shared love of weaponry and fighting, though they very likely have incredibly different styles for more reasons than one. Dwarven and elven values and attitudes towards death and violence are likely different, but this is Tolkien so it's probably existence and I'm on limited time here.
Hang on. These are the "never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an elf" people. Okay so here we've got a clear display of their growth (since Gimli was originally distrustful of Legolas' intentions) and how the two characters developed emotionally to put aside their difference and unite, both in battle and emotionally. It's not unreasonable to say that they can take that another route and into relationship territory (not that one is better than the other, just another path to take). Despite their differences, they are, in canon, capable of the necessary growth to make a healthy relationship.
Okay I'm also seeing that they became friends when walking through the woods, and elves are very woodlands creatures, so perhaps we can find a bit of similarity between their interests there. How do the dwarves view nature? Scrap that question I just read in the wiki that he went into the Undying Lands and Tolkien said it was strange that any dwarf would be willing to leave Middle-Earth for any love. I don't have any fucking clue what that means but it feels important.
I'm a third of the way through my time let's look at Aragorn. GOD wiki please tell me what species he is this is ridiculous. Okay he's not an elf but is descended from them? So he's got an unusually long life span? Okay his character description says he's somber and grim, and that kind of outlook might mesh well with an elven one like Legolas'? I'm not actually sure. Something about the seriousness feels like it could match an elven look and help them work together.
His name is also mentioned a lot on Legolas' wiki page, multiple instances of the two of them going through things together (though Gimli is a notable third addition). Found a random site that mentions something about Aragorn's true identity and Legolas defending him to Boromir, which was either when they met or very early on in their meeting. That sets a strong foundation for future relationships and a clear feeling of protection and trust in it, which is beneficial. Listen I have no context for this scene I have no idea who knows what or how they feel about it, but potentially this hinting towards Legolas knowing his identity could've built a bond between them from the get go that forces them to be more careful with each other, and that can lead to interesting dynamics.
There's also the whole matter of similar backgrounds, or at least more similar than Legolas and Gimli. Even if Aragorn's got a whole complicated situation with his race he was raised by Elrond in Rivendell (i think?) so he's got some elven thinking. If Elrond is indeed an elf but I've got six minutes so I'm not checking. And Legolas is Legolas, raised however he was. He's pretty clearly and elf, but the one thing that trips me up here is that he was "unimpressed" when he came to Rivendell to see the council of Elrond, as it displays that perhaps these two elven backgrounds may be as different as Gimli and Legolas' differences.
My other thought is that when I was key word searching through all their profiles, more often than not all of their names were coming up together. They seem to be a trio for a lot of the story, so why try to decide between a pairing? Why not all three of them if they're bonded so and endured so much together? Legolas has two hands, after all. But then I'd also have to get into what Gimli and Aragorn's relationship is like to see if it would be a triangle sort of a pairing or if they were both dating Legolas but not each other.
I think my final conclusion is that I can understand the shipping either way, but I don't think either one is superior to the other. Gimli and Legolas seem fun for the dynamics and depth they bring, and Aragorn and Legolas sound entertaining for the subtlety and intrigue. But also this was just thirty minutes of frantic skimming articles and trying desperately to remember my limited lotr knowledge.
I would like to thank the orchestral version of all star by smash mouth for fueling this chaotic splurge of words. The years start coming and they don't stop coming and they don't stop coming and they don't stop comin--

What are your favourite Sebastian ships?
My favourite, and most consumed Sebastian ship will always be Kurtbastian, no doubt about that, but if I had to put all of his (common?) ships into a list from favourite to least favourite, this is what it’d look like!
1: Kurtbastian
Kurt Hummel and Sebastian Smythe.
I don’t quite think I can fathom just how much I dearly love these two, both separately and together. The potential they bring to one another for growth, redemption, explanation and development is practically palpable. The chemistry, courtesy of Chris and Grant, in the show is so entertaining to watch, and the direction of their relationship can really take a turn at any point. Do they start off with hate sex? Is it Kurt learning that Sebastian is an actual person with a family, hobbies and aspirations? Is it Sebastian personally reaching out to apologise to Kurt and something blossoming from that? Do they run into one another again in New York? It could be any of these options, alongside many more, and yet they all bring us a beautiful outcome in this pairing. They’re not so cookie cutter, they’re unique and compatible in so many different ways. Their wit and humour is so easy to intertwine that I sometimes forget they aren’t a canon couple. I just absolutely adore them.
Tumblr media
2: I need to distinguish how much I love Kurtbas by stating that nothing even compares to them.
Like seriously none of the ships below even remotely compare. That’s how much I adore these two.
Tumblr media
3: Warbler Ships.
Sebastian Smythe and Jeff, Nick, Thad, Wes, David and Trent.
These are the type of ships that I’ll read and I have no problems with, I just don’t actively ship them in my own glee universe. I read a beautiful fanfic a few years ago about Thad and Wes helping Sebastian overcome some self infliction habits, as well as a similar one with Nick where they’d write letters to one another. They were lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed them, I just don’t ship any of them religiously like I do with kurtbastian. KB are my endgame, I don’t even see these couples as midgame.
(That being said, I do think Jeff and Sebastian have most likely made out before. Not in a midgame type of way, more of a heated fling, I picture it to be a situation where Nick and jeff were on a break, and the boys kinda just got caught up in the moment while watching movies. It was something they just needed to try and get out of their system, and it’s followed by Jeff realising that Nick’s lips are the only ones he ever wants to kiss, and Seb understanding that maybe the idea of being romantically exclusive to somebody wouldn’t be a bad thing, and it would actually make him feel special. It doesn’t affect their friendship negatively, they’re still best buds, but Nick definitely gives Sebastian some side eyes when Niff are on the mend and he learns what happened.)
I think a good summary of how I feel about these ships is that when I’m reading their fics, I’m reading for Sebastian and Warbler characterisation separately, not Sebastian and Warbler romantically together, but they’re still cute fics!
Tumblr media
4: Huntbastian
Hunter Clarington and Sebastian Smythe.
For me Huntbastian is kinda mid tier. I don’t actually like Hunter very much as a character, and I think Seb is far too good for him (I’m also very persistent when it comes to reminding people that the steroids scandal was all Hunter’s doing). However, there are definitely a few fics that I’ve read where this ship is quite cute. I suppose because we don’t know a lot about Hunter, nor do we know if the stuff we do know is even true, I think this ship is completely dependent on how the former is portrayed by each fic writer/artist. They have fanon potential, but I don’t appreciate Hunter enough to delve into that myself, despite the fact I have enjoyed little bits of media between these two every now and again.
That being said, I personally think these two actually have some very dark potential considering the power dynamic established in the show, and you know me, I love putting Sebastian in tough situations.
Tumblr media
5/6: Starsmythe and Coopbastian
Elliott ‘Starchild’ Gilbert/Cooper Anderson and Sebastian Smythe.
First of all, idk if Elliott and Seb have a ship name, I just came up with Starsmythe on the spot, but if they don’t I think that should be the new one.
Much like with number three on my list, these are the kinds of ships that I don’t really see together in general, and I don’t see them happening in canon at all (well maybe Starsmythe could’ve if they’d actually met, but they didn’t), they’re just fun for experimenting with stories and ideas, or sometimes they’re a catalyst for other ships (Elliott with Kurtbas and Cooper with Huntbas from what I’ve read). I did read a really sweet KB fic where Sebastian got sick in New York, and Elliott helped Kurt look after him, so although they weren’t romantically involved, I thought it was just so sweet and had potential.
So again for these guys, I read more so for separate characterisation, and to get my Sebastian fix after I devour everything in his tag excluding seblaine, but they have possible fanon potential!
(And personally I’m a sucker for the whole ‘Cooper dates one of Sebastian’s family members’ trope that so many of us use. That never gets old.)
7: Sebklaine
Sebastian Smythe, Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson.
(Does it annoy anyone else that in both sebklaine and klaine Kurt is only the K? Like mmm it’s not a vibe.)
I don’t really know what to say about this ship. Do I hate it as much as Seblaine? No I don’t, but do I actively love it or consume it’s media on my own? Also no. The only time I’ll read Sebklaine fics is if the title and/or summary really grab my attention, or it’s primary focused on Kurtbas with only a smidge of Blaine, otherwise I’m not overly interested myself.
I personally don’t think this trio would work very well at all, I actually don’t think Blaine could be in a polyamorous relationship with anybody for that matter. As we see in the show, he’s incredible insecure and very jealous, imagine how he’d behave if he had to share his partner with somebody else? And I’m not putting my Bastian through that :(.
Tumblr media
8: Sebofsky:
Sebastian Smythe and Dave Karofsky.
I think Sebofsky is such a neutral ship to me. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t actively ship it either. I’ve read a few fics of this pairing, nothing that particularly stuck out to me, but that’s not to say they were necessarily bad, just not my personal cup of tea. Something I actually would’ve liked to have seen from the show between these two was an apology from Seb to Dave after his attempt, but since we never got to see that I just like to assume it happened off screen. Now had we have seen a scene similar to that, maybe I would feel differently towards this ship, both positively or negatively, but we shall never know.
Not a bad ship, not an amazing ship, just a ship to me!
Tumblr media
9: Seblaine:
Sebastian Smythe and Blaine Anderson.
I’ll just let Redditor Bea explain this one
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This might be a hot take, and I’m probably going to get shit for it, but I think Sebastian deserves better than Blaine. I think everyone deserves better than Blaine, I do not like Blaine :).
Seblaine’s only redeeming quality, at least in my opinion, is that at least Blaine is a gay male and not a girl, or god forbid a lesbian girl.
Tumblr media
10/11: Sebtana and Smytheberry.
Sebastian Smythe and Santana Lopez/Rachel Berry.
I will not touch these two ships with a ten foot pole. I’m all for personal expression, and at the end of the day you can headcanon characters as whatever sexuality you want to, there is nothing we can actually do to stop you, but I personally think there’s a huge difference between hc-ing a straight person as another sexuality, and hc-ing a canon gay character as straight. It’s reductive, you’re taking away their minority, you’re removing with a snap of your fingers the oppression people have been fighting again for years, these characters are iconic for what they represent, Santana especially: canon gays in modern media who aren’t totally defined by their sexuality. And I know some of y’all are looking at this with a side eye because it’s “not that deep”, but it is to me. If Sebastian and Santana had both been canon bisexual in the show, I actually think Sebtana is a ship I could get behind, but they aren’t, and therefore it’ll never be okay with me. They are both gay, a homosexual and a lesbian, so I will never see them romantically involved.
And as for Rachel, the compatibility between them isn’t very strong in my opinion, Rachel would be too much for him, I think it takes a certain type of guy to handle her, especially pre-S4. He’d lose his patience pretty quickly over her behaviour anyway, excluding the fact Sebastian likes men.

Reed and Skadi for the ask meme?
reed
sexuality headcanon: bisexual! favorite ship(s): ...with ebenholz, of all people. this is mostly due to the post-lingering echoes fic i'm writing in my head that develops their relationship and interactions together. i think they could have the potential to get along very well. brotp: reed and saileach. their interactions in the main story really endeared me. notp: while people will certainly disagree, i'm not very fond of reed/bagpipe or romantic reed/saileach (mostly for personal reasons that i'll not get into) - though i wouldn't exactly call it a notp so much as i dislike it. a random headcanon: when she was extremely little, she really wanted to become a ballerina. her family signed her up for ballet lessons and she did really well, but after (vaguely gestures) everything she never really got an opportunity to pursue that as a full-time career even though i think she would have liked to. general opinion: i really like her! i always liked her when i first got her in my pulls, but seeing her role as deuteragonist in the main story and watching her growth in "what the firelight casts" really endeared her to me.
skadi sexuality headcanon: bisexual favorite ship(s): you knew this was coming - her and specter. they're probably the reason i actually started playing arknights to begin with, and when i did get to see them in action i was not disappointed. i love how truly comfortable they are with on another; specter the unchained's operator record made me gremlin screech because of their interactions. they're just married to each other in my eyes. brotp: grani and thorns! grani is pretty understandable considering the side story, but the case of thorns is more hypothetical. i think they'd be really good friends together. notp: it's not so much a notp so much as 'not my thing' but i don't care for the abyssal hunters as an ot3 either with gladiia or andreana (i like both gladiia and andreana as individual characters, for the record. it's simply that i can only really see skadi and specter with just each other.) a random headcanon: she really likes collecting plushies. it's not something she talks about very much, but considering those really cute plushies we get with both of her skins (seriously, with the new one, is alchemaniac a mind reader because i've imagined skadi wearing an outfit super similar to that?) it's something i could see. general opinion: i can't even begin to describe how in love i am with this fictional 2d orca woman both from a "she's attractive and i am enamored by her stoic personality with a secret soft side" but also "i love seeing her character play out on screen". also she really needs a hug after everything she's been through.

rating the remaining Greys cast because I can:
Weber - a constant, went through as many ups and downs as his pseudo-step-daughter Meredith
Bailey - love that she’s found her own way to do her thing and ngaf because she of all people does not need to be giving 150% all the time
Owen - 0, ten seasons and has not learned a single thing, brings down every relationship he’s in, irritating in a way that can only be brought about by self-importance
Teddy - 2, 3 if she’s by Owen because she looks better by proximity. not a single time when she’s been on the show has her ass been helpful, girl waiting on the sidelines for a loser, unimpressive, should’ve stayed a guest star
Amelia - 5, I don’t like her but I respect her and that’s good enough. has had some great moments, but in general it’s been a long time and she still doesn’t vibe right- but the bulk of her character happened on a spin-off that I did not watch so this is biased
Jo - 7 (sometimes 8) people discount her so much but she has worked those storylines (even the ones based off of wildly fabricated stories). Growth, stands up for herself, laughed when her abusive husband died, nicu crew, very consistently there as a character, one of the closest to meshing with the original cast and that shows she can hold her own
Maggie - 8 (sometimes 7) love her and does an an amazing job at being Mer’s half-sister, is devastatingly terrible with relationships, like why did she date her basically-step-brother. Great doctor, great sister bc she found out she had one and then was helping raise those little kids like five seconds later, bad girlfriend - she’s not unlucky in love she needs therapy, amazing perfectionist, hope Zola learns what to do and what not to do from her ass bc she perpetually gives off a skipped a grade, had no friends vibe
Link -1 I don’t like him and not because I don’t like him with Jo, but that adds a -2. Another unimpressive character except he looks like a GI joe toy and has a name like a videogame character so it’s hard to take him seriously. Genuinely forget about him half the time, having a kid with Amelia gives both of them a -1
New MAGYK - desperately needed, cast was getting a little stale and pasty (coincidentally after Shonda left) - Simone is clearly the center, love that for her and she deserves it, Jules and Blue need a little development, Baby Shep, Yasuda, and Griffith are running circles around them and I *know* that’s the writing because I’ve seen Harry’s work and I know damn well Reign wouldn’t have lasted as long as it did if it’s lead wasn’t compelling. Giving them a 9 for potential, nothing better than a bunch of losers moving in together and they’ve been collectively and individually solid, even the least developed Jules and her fundy-hippie childhood
Helm - technically not there and I’m giving her a 6 because she needs to raise her standards both in romance by going after attainable women and in life by not wasting that medical degree
Negl giving that other resident a 6.5 (higher than Helm) because he had some incredibly memorable scenes but I can’t even remember his name and there’s a reason his whole crew got a send off and it wasn’t via hospital shooting turned final destination movie but just anticlimactic restructuring (though peep which ones they kept? This show was getting #ffffff for a while). Also cannot believe they had him break up with one of the hottest people on the show and gave that person no development in the meantime????

Ideal
Ideal MBTI formula according to my conspiracy theory friend.
(we still debate about this, maybe time will tell =D)
1a. Introvert 1b. Extrovert
2a. Intuition 2b. Sensing
3a. Thinking 3b. Feeling
4a. Judging 4b. Perceiving
Ideal MBTI :
No 1 & 4 is ideally different  No 2 is ideally exactly the same No 3 can be the same/ different
Example:
ISFJ is ideally match with ESFP/ ESTP
However ISFJ is not ideal with personality example below because no 2 factor.
Ie. INFP/ ENFP/ ENTJ/ ENFJ
According to the formula above, this is my understanding: INFP is ideally match with ENTJ/ ENFJ ENFP is ideally match with INTJ/ INFJ ENTJ is ideally match with INTP/ INFP ENFJ is ideally match with INTP/ INFP
Sensing vs Intuition most likely clash, ie. one is thinking practical & literal, the other one is abstract & imaginative.
Moreover, No 1&4 -  if both are the same- most likely they won’t grow to be the best version of themselves because it’s similarity factor. We will tend to be righteous & find a friend who is agree with us all the time.
According to TRUITY website: Kindred Spirits
People of the following types are more likely than most to share the XXXX values, interests, and general approach to life. They won't necessarily agree on everything, and there's no guarantee they'll always get along, but they're more likely to feel an easy rapport and have plenty of things in common.
Intriguing Differences
People of the following types are likely to strike the XXXX as similar in character, but with some key differences which may make them seem especially intriguing. The XXXX may find people of these types particularly interesting and attractive to get to know. Relationships between INFPs and these types should have a good balance of commonalities and opportunities to challenge one another.
Potential Complements
XXXXs may not feel an immediate connection with people of the following types, but on getting to know each other, they'll likely find they have some important things in common, as well as some things to teach one other. Although people of these types may not attract the XXXX initially, their relationships present a lot of potential to complement and learn from one other.
Challenging Opposites
People of the following types present the most potential for personality clash and conflict with the INFP, but also the best opportunities for growth. Because people of these types have fundamentally different values and motivations from the XXXX's, initially, it may seem impossible to relate. But because they are so different, their strengths are the XXXX's weaknesses, and if they are able to develop a relationship, they can learn a tremendous amount from each other.
Note:
However don’t take MBTI test seriously though is widely known test for entering corporate job or finding your self, soul mate or other references.
No such thing as happily ever after in this dystopian world. Although your MBTI is perfectly match, not necessarily it’s going to work.
Human are more complex than 16 personalities and other theories/ predictions. Any life Relationships after all is a constant hard work, commitment, and faith til the end of the time. People change overtime, for better/ for worse.
What is IDEAL? Do you have to meet someone similar to eliminate problems? or find someone who is different/ complements/ challenging to grow to be a better version of yourself? I believe vision/ mission/ purpose/ principle has to be on the same page. For a family/ company/ nation to be great, it takes a lot of management work with people in diverse skill set.
However, most of us crash and burn badly because our own ego, emotion, expectation and others selfish ambition.
Note to self : If only we can master ourselves to be wholesome, we can manage the most difficult people and most likely the rest will be just fine. Because you won’t be affected with what other think of you and you can manage yourself in all situation. If everyone wants to be a leader, then they will fight to get into the top and worst case kill each other. If everyone just want to be a follower, then everyone just doing what everyone else does and going nowhere like a headless chicken.
We need one another, a leader will need a follower too, a leader to be advanced needs to humble themselves and learn from others and raise a future leader, so it’s a sustainability process.  For growth, a follower can't stay in their comfort zone all the time, they have to learn how to advancing their skills or learn a new skills. By time, they will eventually become a leader too either in small scale or large scale. But first we can always learn how to lead ourselves by managing ourselves (time, discipline and all that) It won’t be easy, but lots of things that are worth doing aren’t easy. It just takes commitment, discipline and most important, faith that it’s all going to work out. ― Jason Fried
“There are many things worth living for, a few things worth dying for, and nothing worth killing for.” ― Tom Robbins
Lastly, I think the best life test is when a person in the pit situation and when they're on top. Give them money or don't give them any money/ nothing. Such situation will reveal the person character the most. No need a fancy golf hangout clubs or other social gimmicks to know someone's character.

Let’s answer a few prerequisite questions. Am I a fan of the TMNT intellectual property? Ohh, Yes!
Do I have an extreme bias for the versions that I grew up either watching, reading, or playing? Absolutely.
Am I delusional, thinking these previous releases were flawless and perfect representations of what character development and storytelling is all about? Not likely.
Am I going to be one of the toxic millennials that rages at any changes these new creators dare to add to or detract from MY beloved Turtles? Hell no.
Like no other fandom that I am personally invested in, do I see such “defenders of the old way”. Some of these purists do deserve at least a small bit of applause for their efforts to preserve any and all media related to “their” Turtles.
However, we still have all of the earlier versions at our disposal to watch at any time we want. Characters like the turtles have to change in order to stay relevant, seeing as a lot of their identity is expressed through their pop culture referencing antics.
As a consumer, if you’re seeing the same, tired origin story again and again, it becomes boring and ineffective emotionally. For example, each time we see Uncle Ben die, we become more and more desensitized.
In an age where first-time failures do not get a second chance, but instead receive remakes or reimaginings, it is essential to keep the story fresh and relatable for the intended audience.
So, do I think that “Mutant Mayhem” deserves all of the hate it is getting from some of the elder fans of the franchise? No, absolutely not. It does exactly what it needed to do in order to remain pertinent with today’s youth.
The changes that are catapulting old TMNT-heads into furious, keyboard abusing rages, are alterations that shake up the story without being too much of a detriment to the essence of the originals.
The Turtles are still teenage mutants, Splinter is still their caring father figure, and April still remains their liaison to the outside world that exists just above them in a sewer lair.
Now that I have established my support of variations between versions, the question remains: do I believe that “Mutant Mayhem” is a perfect movie on its own? Well… no…
Don’t get me wrong, it is really good. Great even! However there are a few fundamental elements within the story that I can’t help but feel could have been handled a bit better.
For example, most people ridiculed the turtles from the 2014 film and it’s 2016 sequel for a long laundry list of lame revisions, but especially a certain aspect of their origins.
The Michael Bay movies gave the boys and Splinter their “ninja” skills from a “How-To” book written in a language the man-rat couldn't even read. Many thought this rationale was vapid at best, and completely idiotic at worst, myself included.
“Mutant Mayhem” takes an equally uninspiring angle with Splinter learning from sneaking peaks at “How-to” videos on YouTube now. At least they’re in English this time. In all seriousness though, Splinter is played more as a over-bearing father, rather than the honorable “sensei” figure he is typically portrayed as. I like this addition to his character overall.
It’s the disrespect for the martial art that rubs me the wrong way. Whether it be the Bay films or this newest version, ninjitsu(or just martial arts in general) is given little to no reverence, which is just wrong.
The amount of dedication required to become an expert of any fighting style is staggering. I find the decision to glaze over this part of the turtles’ growth comes off as contemptuous toward the hustle of real world practitioners. Not to mention, Leonardo loses some of his potential character development without his obsession with progressing his skills.
I will attempt to avoid any spoilers, but towards the end of the second act, “Mutant Mayhem” pulls another page from Michael Bay’s playbook. In the previous film, the turtles are targeted by the antagonist and drained or… er… “milked”(yuck) of their powers/blood. Not objectively a bad thing, just another interesting similarity between the two films, despite their polar opposite critical receptions.
Another problem that “MM” has is one that many superhero team-up films fall victim to. There are simply too many characters. I understand that with the sheer magnitude of personas introduced in this 90 minute feature, it is obvious that only a few would be getting the spotlight. Maybe save those side players for sequels instead of cramming them in the first film?
However, the film is bolstered by the incredible animation. While the character designs themselves are subjective, the animation in motion is of extreme quality throughout, and quite breathtaking at times.
Personally, I tend to dislike some of the new designs, finding the whole movie kind of “ugly”, but I will freely admit that I’m blinded by my own pair of nostalgia goggles. None of it is bad, just slightly grotesque, which is no doubt perfect for some new fans. Just not my cup of tea (or slice of pizza, in this case.)
The aesthetics are consistent throughout, so I will express my admiration towards the filmmakers for settling on their artistic style and sticking to it for every inch of their New York City. My favorite new designs are Splinter and Super-fly.
Ironically, my favorite performances are Splinter and Super-fly as well, voiced by Jackie Chan and Ice Cube, respectively.
Chan really gets to play the role as a comedic relief, as opposed to the wise mentor one might expect. However, even though Splinter’s fighting prowess is underplayed, there is a terrific, Jackie Chan-esque fight scene, where the master makes a fool of some henchmen, defeating them with a mixture of punches, kicks, and slapstick.
Ice Cube is the most surprising for me, as I wasn’t expecting much from the rapper. I love Cube is some of his movie roles, but when delivering voice work, it is an entirely different beast to tame. Ice Cube excelled my expectations, making a great foil and counterpart to the aforementioned Jackie Chan’s Splinter.
All that said, my impressions of “Mutant Mayhem” are definitely more positive than negative. The few flaws I did find are admittedly subjective ones, which will vary from viewer to viewer.
For example, if I didn’t grow up with a love and respect for martial arts, I probably wouldn’t care as much about the skipping of the training and ignorance to the hard work is takes to be proficient at the skill.
So, take my opinion for what you judge it to be worth, because “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” is undeniably a movie one needs to view themselves and make up their own mind as to whether or not it is a good one. Either way, don’t skip it just because its different. Form your own judgment based on how you feel when you leave the theater, or turn off Paramount+.
For me, I say what is new really works well and what is redesigned is fresh and distinguishable enough to carve its own path in the plethora of paths laid down by the long legacy of the young-adult, genetically-altered, ninjitsu-trained hard-shelled reptiles…

Navigating University Rejections and Waitlists: Turning Setbacks into Opportunities.
The journey to higher education is often fraught with excitement, anticipation, and a fair share of challenges. While the dream of being accepted into one's desired university is the goal, the reality is that not all applicants receive the coveted acceptance letter. University rejections and waitlists can be disheartening, but they also offer opportunities for growth and reflection. In this article, we will delve into strategies for handling rejection and managing the uncertainty of being placed on a waitlist.
1. Understanding Rejection: It's Not Personal
Receiving a rejection letter can feel like a personal defeat, but it's essential to remember that admission decisions are not a reflection of your worth as an individual. Universities receive thousands of applications and have to make tough choices. Understanding that rejection is not a judgment of your character or abilities is the first step towards managing the emotional impact.
2. Allowing Yourself to Grieve
It's okay to feel disappointed, frustrated, or even sad after a rejection. Allow yourself to grieve the loss of a plan you had envisioned. Suppressing these emotions can hinder your ability to move forward. Talk to friends, family, or a counselor about your feelings and seek support.
3. Gaining Perspective and Self-Reflection
Use this setback as an opportunity for self-reflection. Reevaluate your goals, aspirations, and the path you envision for your future. Consider whether the universities you applied to truly align with your academic and personal objectives. Sometimes, a rejection can be a blessing in disguise, pushing you to explore other opportunities that might be a better fit.
4. Seeking Feedback and Learning from the Experience
If the university provides feedback on your application, take it as a chance to learn and improve. Constructive criticism can help you identify areas where you can enhance your application for future endeavors. Use this feedback to refine your essays, enhance your extracurricular activities, or address any weaknesses.
5. Exploring Alternative Paths
A rejection might lead you to consider alternative pathways to your desired career. Research other universities, programs, or vocational options that align with your interests. Community colleges, online courses, internships, and gap years can all provide valuable learning experiences that contribute to your personal and academic growth.
Tumblr media
6. The Waitlist Conundrum
Being placed on a waitlist can be both hopeful and frustrating. It's important to remember that being waitlisted is not a rejection; it's a testament to the potential the university sees in your application. While the waitlist offers a glimmer of hope, it's crucial to have a backup plan in case it doesn't materialize.
7. Taking Proactive Steps for the Waitlist
If you're waitlisted, take action. Write a thoughtful letter of continued interest to the admissions office, expressing your continued enthusiasm for the university. Update them on any recent accomplishments or developments since you submitted your application. This demonstrates your commitment and ongoing engagement.
8. Embracing Uncertainty
Uncertainty is a constant in life, and the college admissions process is no exception. Use this period of uncertainty to develop resilience and patience. Cultivate mindfulness techniques, such as meditation or journaling, to manage stress and stay grounded.
9. Accepting an Alternate Offer
As the decision deadlines approach, you might receive an offer from another university. If this offer aligns with your goals and aspirations, seriously consider accepting it. Remember, an education's value isn't solely tied to the university's name; it's about the opportunities and experiences you gain.
10. Celebrating Your Achievements
Whether you end up attending your dream university, an alternate choice, or taking a different path altogether, remember to celebrate your achievements. Completing high school and applying to universities is a significant milestone. Your resilience, hard work, and determination deserve recognition.
University Acceptance: Realizing Academic Aspirations
University acceptance marks a pivotal milestone in the academic journey, representing the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and personal growth. It's the moment when the doors to higher education swing open, offering students the opportunity to delve into their chosen fields of study and embark on a path of intellectual exploration. This achievement is not only a validation of academic prowess but also a gateway to new experiences, friendships, and a future full of possibilities.
The process of university acceptance is a rigorous one, involving careful consideration of academic records, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, and personal statements. Beyond the academic criteria, universities often seek candidates who demonstrate a commitment to extracurricular activities, community engagement, and leadership qualities. The elation of receiving an acceptance letter is often coupled with a sense of achievement, as it signifies the recognition of one's potential by esteemed educational institutions.
University acceptance is a transformative moment that ushers in a period of personal and intellectual exploration. It's a chance for students to immerse themselves in a diverse community of learners, where they can engage in thought-provoking discussions, pursue their passions, and broaden their horizons. The opportunities that universities provide, from world-class faculty to cutting-edge research facilities, set the stage for students to not only gain knowledge but also contribute to their chosen fields and make a meaningful impact on society.
University acceptance is a remarkable achievement that opens doors to a world of possibilities. It's a culmination of academic dedication, personal growth, and the promise of a future filled with exploration and learning. As students step onto campus for the first time, they embark on a transformative journey that will shape their identities, forge lifelong connections, and equip them with the tools they need to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.
Conclusion

The Future of Cryptocurrency: Predictions for the Next Decade
Cryptocurrency is a digital medium of exchange that takes the form of “coins” or “tokens.” Based on blockchain technology, it offers a secure and transparent system for record-keeping and transaction processing. These characteristics make it a valuable investment, but the volatile price fluctuations of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency markets have made some investors wary of this trend. Despite these challenges, the industry has continued to grow. Analysts expect 2023 to be a strong year for the cryptocurrency market as confidence in this innovative technology grows and more businesses adopt it.
Tumblr media
As cryptocurrencies have become more mainstream, they are being taken seriously by regulators, which has created a paradox. Investors want regulation to protect their investments, but it also has the potential to stifle innovation and undermine the fundamental character of the currency. The answer to this challenge will have significant implications for investors, cryptocurrency businesses, and traditional banks. The best solution will be one that balances protection and stability How is Bitcoin and Tokenomics interlinked? with crypto’s ability to innovate and thrive.
A growing number of consumers, businesses, and even some governments have begun using cryptocurrencies for payments. These currencies are easier to use than conventional money, which is more expensive and requires a long process for every transfer. They also offer a degree of security that is superior to the traditional banking system, as transactions are private and cannot be tracked or copied.
Another reason for the popularity of cryptocurrencies is their low fees. They are much cheaper to transfer than credit cards or bank transfers, and they do not carry a fee to send the coins from one wallet to another. This enables a large number of people to gain access to financial services who otherwise would not be able to afford them.
The popularity of cryptocurrencies has caught the eye of many corporations, and they are rushing to establish themselves in this space. This is causing a disruption in the market and driving up the prices of some of the more popular currencies. However, it also makes it harder for independent investors to enter the market and benefit from its growth.
Cryptocurrency is a powerful tool that has been leveraged by individuals and website technology companies alike to promote sustainable and equitable economic development. This trend is likely to continue, and it will be interesting to see how this new asset class continues to evolve over the next decade. The four critical unstoppable forces of multi-polar globalization, three demographic shifts and a questioning everything mindset post Covid-19 will impact the future of cryptocurrencies in profound ways.

King of Pentacles ~ Tuffo nel Mistero Tarot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is the chief of industry. The King of Pentacles is a mature man of exceptional self-control. He is a steady, enterprising male energy. He is a man in finance, banking, or real estate. Reliable married man with children. He is the caregiver, the provider. And he takes his duties as a caregiver and provider seriously. Great financial gifts; accomplished with finances. He is of great help to the Seeker or potentially very helpful. Could also indicate materialism or dwelling too much on the value of material things, overlooking the spiritual. On the negative side, this person is susceptible to bribery and temptation. Figuratively, could indicate effective management of wealth and property; having full control over one’s finances. From French playing card tradition, the King of Pentacles is said to correspond with Julius Caesar, and thus, in tarot, the card could call to mind a character of unmatched military power, a man with a great gift for forging alliances. Compare: the Ten of Swords conveys the fall of Caesar and the theme of assassination, while the King of Pentacles would refer to the character of Julius Caesar—a man who, generally speaking, had an exceptional gift for political alliances and knew how to wield it to his advantage. Earth-dominant, the King of Pentacles is resourceful, utilitarian, and has more common sense than the courts of the other three suits. Could signify Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo. Note that two kings appearing in a tarot reading for a male Seeker could indicate direct competition with another male, while two kings in a reading for a female Seeker could indicate a professional conference. In a reading about love, two kings can indicate two men competing for the amorous affections of one, but if the spread is Fire-dominant, then the two kings could indicate romantic relations developing from a professional conference or business trip. In a reading about career, two kings represent the significance of a professional conference in advancing the Seeker’s goals, though if the Seeker is male, the two kings might denote direct competition from another male for the same promotion. Three kings in a reading symbolize a professional brotherhood, or a fraternity among men of high rank. Three kings could also suggest nepotism at play. Four kings represent a men’s interest, issues related to masculinity, or dominant male authority. Holistic Tarot An Integrative Approach to Using Tarot for Personal Growth. Benebell Wen
