she’s never liked someone so much, like she feels like it’s actually concerning how much she likes you.

“oh my god.” yunjin looks up as he best friend dramatically flops at the end of her bed. “yn is driving me crazy.”
yunjin stomach turns just at your name. “how ?” she asks.
jimin sits up and looks at her. “I’ve seen my little sister’s face my whole life, and I love yn but when I become an idol it was a little nice to have a break from her, but now I see her face EVERYWHERE I mean billboards, poster, on my social media.”
as jimin continues to rant about you, yunjin gets lost in her thoughts I mean jimin wasn’t wrong your face was everywhere not that yunjin was complaining she loves seeing your face, well sorta, how is she supposed to try to get over her best friends little sister if she sees her everywhere ?
“BUSES I MEAN BUSES YUN.” yunjin snaps out of her thoughts as jimin finally stops her ranting.
“but that’s besides the point, I was talking to her this morning and why didn’t you tell me you guys were doing a duet on kbs ?” we are ? “she told me her manager told her this morning.”
“uhhh…” yunjin trails off trying to find an answer did her manager tell her and she just wasn’t paying attention ? probably
“that doesn’t matter.” jimin cut her off. “ I came here to tell you no funny business.”
“what do you mean ?”
jimin let’s out a deep sigh “I MEAN no funny business, no flirting, no touching no nothing, just singing, I know how you are yunjin.”
“I cannot have my best friend dating my little sister, first you’re the only thing I have that she doesn’t and also if something happens I’d be put in the middle.”
she then wraps her arms around yunjin. “ so no funny business right ?”
“yeah.”
“so what songs do you have in mind ?”
yunjin heart flutters as you smile at her.
she’s so pretty

“um hello ?” you wave your hand in her face.
“um sorry.” yunjin stutters as she scrambles to get her notebook, her cheek heating up in embarrassment.
“it’s okay.” you laugh, you look down at her notebook. “so, have any ideas?”
“um so I wrote down some songs like, kingston by faye, lover by taylor we could also do gorgeous by Taylor.”
“so love songs ?” you ask cutting off her rambling.
“um no..” yunjin trails off looking at her notebook. “there’s… uhh… yeah love songs.”
“sorry.”
“no it’s okay I was just teasing you.”
“you could tease me anytime you want.”
“what ?”
“huh, what ? nothing, i didn’t say anything.”
“um okay.” you laugh. “how about we do the last one on your list.”
yunjin looks at the last song and her face heats up “sofia ? are you sure.”
“I’m sure.” you say “I’ve listen to it sometimes it’s a good song to cover.”
“yea okay, sure let’s do it.”
you and her spent the rest of the next couple weeks splitting up lines and practicing and yunjin felt herself falling for you even more.
today was the day you guys actually film the duet.
“I’m nervous.” she whispers to you.
“don’t be.” you wrap your arms around her’s “we will do amazing especially you.”
wow are you trying to kill her.
“really.”
“I wouldn’t be saying it if I didn’t believe what I was saying.”
“actually.” you turn away from her and and pick up a little box. “I have something for you.” you give the box to her.
yunjin brushes her fingers over the lettering on the box Vivienne Westwood.
she opens the box to see two necklaces, obviously it was the icon westwood planets but hanging on one was a little strawberry and the other had a black star.
I’m in love could she get any better ?
“they’re for both me and you.” you say as you pick up the one with the strawberry hanging on it. “help me put it on.”
yunjin gently puts the necklace on you turning herself around implying she wants you to put hers on as well.
after you finish putting hers on, you turn her around and wrap your arms around her.
yunjin freezes.
“no touching” it’s not like I’m the one touching her so it shouldn’t matter right ?
“are you ready?” you ask her, letting her go.
“yep.”
“good.” you grab one of her hands and pull to to the set. “let’s do this.”

the cover was a hit, fans were going crazy over not only the song choice but the necklaces ? thats what confused yunjin weren’t they just cute necklaces with charms ?

Idk if you’ve answered this somewhere else but do you have a top three for designers and/or collections?
i haven't! i don't really have a top collection first because i have a terrible memory and it all blends into one general vibe after a while lmao and second because i cannot pick just 3 anyway, and i guess top 3 designers kind of change as time passes and new ones come and whatnot... plus there are so many good interesting designers it's hard to pick at all, like sure mcqueen is mcqueen, i'd die for mcqueen who wouldn't, even sarah burton's mcqueen was impeccable imo even if it wasn't as wild, i really love jeremy scott's work in moschino, it was insane and silly and so much fun and genuinely cool, and then westwood is... you know.. westwood, like who doesn't like westwood, you need to get something checked if you don't like westwood. i did a whole project on the punk scene and westwood when i was in fashion school, didn't even hesitate when they asked us to pick a designer and a style. i guess i'd pick those three as my all time favs.
current ones, i'm always looking forward to whatever harris reed is cooking every year, i would literally kill a man for thom browne if he asked, and i love the silly little fairytale world kate and laura mulleavy live in within rodarte even if sometimes it gets a little ugly, it gets a little dumb. notable mention not making it into the top 3 but still being great for simone rocha, robert wun and dilara findikoglu.
other than that, i also did a project on agatha ruiz de la prada and aesthetics and branding because i think she's so fun design wise and so specific, she's just doing whatever, that's a clown show she puts on every collection and frankly why not, what's stopping us! and sure elie and zuhair are great, it's practically the same collection every year too but who cares when they're so good at what they do.

Assorted Dragon Ball Dub VA Thoughts
I do not like Ian James Corlett's take on Son Goku. Disrespectful as that may sound seeing as he was the original English VA for the character, I just think he brought the wrong energy, wrong tone, wrong inflections, and just wrong portrayal to the role. He made Goku sound like a mature, macho superhero, and that had a negative effect on how Peter Kelamis and Sean Schemmel had to perform the role when they took over for Ian. Everything uncharacteristic about Goku in the early dubs can be traced back to Ian's portrayal of him.
The big three English voices for Goku to me are Sean Schemmel, Peter Kelamis, and Kirby Morrow. Schemmel is easily the most iconic and recognizable, and he really made the role his own as he improved over the years, Kelamis' portrayal of Goku in the Pioneer dubs of the first three movies is as close to a dead ringer to Masako Nozawa in English (but from a male VA) as you could ask for, and I think the late Kirby Morrow, who took over from Kelamis in the Westwood dub, was the only VA for Goku from the Ocean Group to get the character down right in the show itself, doing less of the cheesy hero shtick. All of them work really well for Adult Goku.
For Kid Goku, however? Sorry, but I can hear literally no one else but Stephanie Nadolny in that role. No one else even comes close. Her rough voice and delivery of her performance was just pitch perfect.
Bulma's best dub VA is still Tiffany Volmer, who never gave a poor, half-assed performance in the role except for her debut outing in Season 3 (which was just cringe). Monica Rial comes in as a close second but the trouble with her is that when she needs to get comically frantic and really emote, she sounds very immediately recognizable as a Monica Rial performance, whereas Volmer always sounded more unique. Three other Bulma VAs that go overlooked are Lalaina Lindjberg, Maggie Blue O'Hara, and Wendee Lee. Lalaina's Bulma is underappreciated, as it was very fitting and well acted. Maggie's Bulma sounds the most "real" out of all the Bulma voices, but in that movie dub she sort of underperformed compared to how she could've (think Lime) and she should not have been brought back in the Westwood dub. And with Wendee Lee, I just find it funny that she technically was the first to do Bulma in English for the lost Harmony Gold dub and then reprised the role many, many years later in the short lived Bang Zoom dub of Dragon Ball Super.
Gohan's a complicated case for me, since unlike Kid Goku, I was never big on how Stephanie Nadolny voiced Kid Gohan - she undersold everything during the Season 3 dub and then was too try-hard in the redub and every reprisal. I greatly preferred Saffron Henderson and Colleen Clinkenbeard's more natural takes. However, Nadolny absolutely killed it as young Teen Gohan in the Cell Saga, to the point where every other VA to perform the role during those events just will not sound right. As for older Gohan, while I love the way Kyle Hebert does him, Chris Hackney in the Bang Zoom Super dub was almost just as good. Brad Swaile in the Westwood dub and even Lex Lang in the US release of Final Bout showed potential too.
I always liked Terry Klassen's Krillin in a semi-ironic way. Like, he had a naturally fitting voice for the character but often overacted like crazy and made him hard to take seriously. Sonny Strait, like most, started off a weak replacement in Season 3, but nowadays? He IS Krillin. He breathes so much life and likability into the character and for years I'd believed Sony would never have a role that could match or surpass it...until a certain yellow octopus teacher came along. While I also like how Mike Thiessen and Brian Beacock approached the role, they fail to stand out when stacked against Sony's take. Also, major props to Laurie Steele as Kid Krillin - her voice for him sounds exactly like a kid who'd grow up into Sonny Strait's Krillin.
Scott McNeil and Chris Sabat are both hailed as the best VAs for Piccolo by many, and I'd say that's right....but Sabat himself has gone on record to say that he believes his Piccolo is utterly dwarfed by Scott's even now, so I'm sort of inclined to believe him. Solid as Sabat's Piccolo has become, there's just this gruff, gravelly, badass quality to Scott's Piccolo that just cannot be matched. Aside from them, Dan Woren and Ray Chase were fitting VA picks for Piccolo (though Woren was sadly misdirected given where he featured in), and you just gotta have a soft spot for Paul Bandey as Big Green!
Chris Sabat was, however, the best voice for Demon King Piccolo in the Dragon Ball dub, which helped make his Piccolo Jr. better.
Vegeta....is a toughie. Chris Sabat was horrid as the character in Season 3, showed improvement in Season 4, came into his own in Season 5 onward but also sounded awful in the redub and phoned it in for a lot of his subsequent outings, and then ever since dubbing Kai, he's been excellent enough to secure his place as the definitive English voice of Vegeta. Like, his Kai and post-Kai performances are objectively the best Vegeta has ever sounded in Western dubs, he just embodies the role so much. ...And yet, whenever I think back to or revisit the first two DBZ sagas, it is exceedingly difficult for me to get Brian Drummond's Vegeta out of my head. The nostalgia is a large part of that, but on its own merits, Brian's Vegeta was just so deliciously sinister sounding and oozing with underlining arrogance and spiteful fury that made Vegeta seem so intimidating. This is the guy who made "OVER NINE THOUSAAAND!" and "MY WRAAATH!" so unforgettable! He did fine, if not a touch weaker, in the Westwood dub as well, though by the Buu Saga I definitely prefer Sabat's take. The only other English VA to come close to these two would be Kaiji Tang in Bang Zoom's Super dub, but even that's mainly due to him strongly channeling Sabat into his Archer-esque vocal portrayal.
Linda Young's Freeza remains iconic for many, and I will say that I can't pass any blame on her for having been in the role and any missteps she might've committed in it, as she was cast to be a soundalike replacement for the late (and sadly miscast) Pauline Newstone. I will also say that in her first five years voicing the part, from 1999 to 2004, her Freeza sounded pretty great and she was skillful at voicing the character as it had been translated. In Season 3 she'd been the highlight and its sole shining instance of competent voice acting, giving Freeza different, fitting voices for all his forms and nailing the character's sadistic evilness in spite of the scripts feeding her some truly horrendous dialogue. However, by 2005 and the redubbing of the Namek/Freeza sagas, Linda had, for whatever reason, decided to start voicing Freeza in this "tranny granny" voice, like a high pitched, chainsmoking old diva with obnoxious line reads and screams like Rita Repulsa, and the voice directors just...let her do that. And this was especially harmful for Freeza in his final form, as the voice acting did not match the character as depicted in any way whatsoever. Her being recast for Kai was a not pre-planned thing, but I was and still am so relieved it happened. It's what had to be done and indeed what should have been done a long time back.
The late, great Christopher Ayres is bar none the best dub VA for Freeza. He redefined how the character would sound like in English, delivering a take on him faithful to Ryusei Nakao's original portrayal while also making enough distinctions to stand on its own. While Ayres is still greatly missed in general and his passing was a huge loss for the industry, it wasn't a huge loss for the role of Freeza since Daman Mills is freakishly beyond brilliant at recapturing that voice and doing similar performances to carry on that legacy, so we are so fortunate to have him. Beyond them, the only other offical dub voice for Freeza to even begin to match up would be Derek Stephen Prince doing his Vexen voice for the character in Bang Zoom's Super dub.
Cell's an interesting case where all dub VAs to do Imperfect Cell sound alike and all suit him well, but for Semi-Perfect Cell, Travis Willingham surpassed Dameon Clarke in how he performed the voice prior to Clarke's reprisals starting with Kai, where he improved the Semi-Perfect Cell voice to stack up to how Travis did it. And Perfect Cell? Dameon Clarke stands alone there, unmatched. He is perfect!
Both Josh Martin and Scott McNeil give portrayals of Mr. Buu that work for his character. The same can't be said of Corby Proctor's strange Jar Jar-Gollum hybrid voice, and Spike Spencer trying way too hard yet failing to come off as convincing.
Justin Cook's initial outing as Super Buu was...off. He just sounded way too scary and ominous for a character who's supposed to be not just demonic, but savage, brutish, and petulant. Brian Dobson in the Westwood dub actually played the part better. But in practically every reprisal, especially by Kai, Justin proved able to easily match that.
Am I the only one who has a hard time stomaching Eric Vale as Future Trunks these days? From his first shot at the role all the way to the Kai dub, he absolutely nailed the character and endeared him to so many fans with his emotional performances, but afterwards he started making the voice way too gruff and snarly and it's made Trunks harder and harder to take seriously. I don't think he's no longer capable of doing Trunks as good as he used to since other roles like Yuki Sohma suggest that he still could, so I don't know what he's going for anymore. Sean Chiplock sadly never got the chance to go into more Trunks material since Bang Zoom's Super dub lasted those first two sagas, but I think he'd sound a lot better in the role.
Master Roshi had a great VA for him for Funimation's initial dub of Dragon Ball in Michael Donovan, and it's weird that he was never brought back for DBZ. Out of the other Ocean Group VAs to voice him, I only really liked Don Brown in The World's Strongest - Ian James Corlett, Peter Kelamis, and Terry Klassen never sounded right and were never convincing. Mike McFarland IS Master Roshi in English: he did a good job crafting the character's voice and playing the part from the start, and by the second, full dub of Dragon Ball and going onward he's just nailed it, sounding more and more natural in the role the more he himself ages. He gives the character so much charm, humor, and stern seriousness when needed that it almost, almost, makes his dated old pervert shtick easy to overlook! The only other good Roshi voice is Kirk Thornton is the Bang Zoom Super dub, but even he can't quite hold a candle to McFarland's iconic take.
Chi Chi has mostly had fine VAs whose portrayls of her have worked for what the character calls for. Of particular note are Carol Anne Day, Lisa Ann Bailey, Lara Sadiq, Nicole Oliver, and Cynthia Cranz.
I only really like Dave "Squatch" Ward and Dave Petit as the Ox King. Kyle Hebert's not awful or anything, but his Ox King never sounded natural. Best you can say is that it's better than Mark Britten's take.
Likewise I only really like Elan Ross Gibson and Linda Young as Fortuneteller Baba (who had some male VAs voicing her a lot for whatever reason?), and only Brian Drummond and Mike McFarland for Yajirobe, though with a bias towards Drummond in the latter role since he got it down earlier and his delivery was more memorable. And I will remain forever insistent that Yajirobe is a Chris Sabat role he never got. Sabat's Kuwabara voice seems meant for the part!
It seems to be an unpopular opinion but I preferred Ward Perry to Dale Wilson as Kami Sama. And Dale was very good as Kami, mind you, but Ward Perry just has a natural gravitas in his voice and carries an aged god-like quality that makes his Kami voice my favorite. Third place goes to Chris Sabat, as it should be a natural choice to have Kami and Piccolo share a VA, but it took until the dub of Kai for Sabat to get it down. Beforehand, his Kami was too wheezy and like a younger man doing a weak impression of an old man.
I prefer Chris Casan to Chris Sabat as Mr. Popo, but prefer Alvin Sanders to them both. Sanders is the only VA to give that odd looking caricature any dignity, and him actually being black helped as well.
I will freely admit that Don Brown remains the definitive King Kai voice in my mind, as he most effectively balanced silly clownishness with an aged wisdom and dignity to him. Dean Galloway in the Blue Water GT dub and Michael McConnohie in the Bang Zoom Super dub are also excellent, with the latter sounding the most like the OG Japanese voice for Kai. Sean Schemmel....I've gotten used to his King Kai and he performs the part more competently nowadays when compared to how he started, but I still think the voice he goes for is just not what the character called for. It sounds too stupid, everyone has made fun of it. I mean, on literally day one of that early Captain Ginyu: Double Cross VHS release back in 1999, the friend who lent it to me had to warn me that this stupid voice was coming! That out of all the poor replacement Funimation voices, it had to be singled out as being particularly awful! So it's bizarre Sean's still kept with it.
Ward Perry and Chris Rager are the only good King Yamma voices.
Young Andrew Francis was the best and most natural voice for Young Dende, but Maxey Whitehead is definitely the next best thing. While Laura Bailey's Dende was well acted, the voice she used couldn't really disguise the fact that Dende's being voiced by a girl, unlike her Kid Trunks. The less said about Ceyli Juliann Delgadillo, the better. As for older Dende, only Justin Cook does it great.
Only Bill Jenkins got Grand Elder Guru down right. Robert O Smith's creepy Alfred Hitchcock voice didn't fit the large elderly Namekian and didn't even sound weary enough. Chris Sabat sounded more weary in Season 3 but was clearly a fake old man voice that didn't require much from him, and he sounded a lot worse in reprisals.
Chris Rager is Hercule Satan. It's the role that literally launched his career as a voice acting and he's never missed a beat in reprisals of the character. Jamieson Price in the Bang Zoom Super dub fits him very well too, even if he's naturally easily eclipsed by Rager. While I could get what Don Brown was going for with his take, I just don't like the performance - we all know the Ocean VA who should voice Mr. Satan is Trevor Devall, but that Kai dub they did was never released so we'll never know if he ended up doing it or not. And Dave Petit as Mr. Satan is such a massive letdown. You'd expect the dub VA for Master Asia to easily nail Mr. Satan, and yet he gave us THAT???
Kara Edwards is definitively Videl. She did great as her voice since she started voicing the role and has only gotten better by Kai. Monica Stori in the Westwood dub isn't bad per say, but I feel Myriam Sirois would've been the more obvious and better casting choice there. Erika Harlacher was spot on casting for the character but was sadly hampered by Super's lackluster Videl-in-name-only material.
I could never quite buy Laura Bailey's Erasa, as she sounded like a sweet Girl Next Door trying too hard to sound like a ditzy diva. Kelly Sheridan pulled off her voice more naturally in the Westwood dub, but Alexis Tipton in the Kai dub is easily the best of the bunch.
Bradford Jackson is the definitive Oolong voice, and it shouldn't even be close, yet Bryan Massey, Richard Newman, and surprisingly even Ray Chase give surprisingly close enough to match his portrayal. The only real opinion I can give is that as much as I enjoy Massey in the role, I think that after Jackson left the second time, they should've given the role to Jeremy Schwartz, who's an even closer soundalike.
Once he finally shook off the absurd Harvey Fierstein impression that Paul Dobson originated, Chris Sabat has played the best Korin. Roger Rhodes, Paul Bandey, and Theodore Lehmann also have very fitting voices for the old cat and they work in their own ways. Ted Cole is by far the most baffling to me, as he opted to play Korin like Garfield even though he was coming off of Dobson's Fierstein voice, creating a huge whiplash in what's meant to be the same character.
Speaking of Ted Cole, though, his Yamcha is still my personal favorite voice for the character. Sabat's Yamcha is fitting too, but can also grate on you after a while and it's more than a bit awkward to have Yamcha and Vegeta voiced by the same person. The other best sounding Yamcha would be Grant George in the Bang Zoom dub.
For whatever reason, Tienshinhan has barely recieved a good dub voice. John Burgmeier stands out as easily the best of the bunch, though Brendan Hunter and (yet again) Ray Chase are good as well.
Chuck Huber is the definitive Emperor Pilaf and I will accept no substitutes. Not even Don Brown, Dean Galloway, or Tom Fahn.
Kent Williams is easily the best Tao Pai Pai, but Doug McKeag in the Blue Water dub did a fittingly menacing yet campy take on him as well. Scott McNeil in the Westwood dub of DBZ is also entertaining to listen to, but giving an oriential dressed character with an oriental sounding name a Russian accent was...questionable.
While the older dub for Mystical Adventure is pretty cringe on the whole, it featured easily the most fitting vocal performance for Master Shen the Crane Hermit from the late, great Robert Axelrod. The only VA who comes even close to comparing would be Clark Robertson in the Blue Water dub. Chuck Huber comes in third place here, I never much liked his Shen, especially compared to his Pilaf.
Jason Gray Standford and Justin Cook have both given us equally perfect vocal portrayals of Raditz. Likewise, Michael Dobson and Phil Parsons are both solid as Nappa, though here I'd say the latter gets a definite edge over the former since he plays the role straight as the cruel, brutish and imposing Saiyan commando Nappa is meant to be, whereas Dobson delivered a lot of his lines in too juvenille a way.
Dodoria's voices in the Funimation dubs all work for him, but John Swasey is especially well cast as he effortlessly bridged the divide between the higher, raspy take by Paul Dobson and the deeper, throatier take by Chris Forbis into one pitch perfect voice.
J. Michael Tatum is the only VA for Zarbon who was just flawless in his approach and performances, so it sucks that he parted with the role once Mira became his main DB role to voice. Paul Dobson also did a kickass job, giving Zarbon a more masculine characterization than I think would be expected of him, though the Australian accent was certainly a choice. Chris Sabat has been all over the place here - he did a spot on Paul Dobson impression in Season 3 but then settled into a more refined, vaguely British sounding voice until suddenly he began doing his flamboyant, campy Ayame Sohma shtick for Zarbon and it sounded awful and ill-fitting. Now that he's got the role again he's notably improved once more, retaining the Ayame voice but changing up the delivery so that we buy Zarbon is actually taking shit seriously and so we're able to take him seriously.
The ideal lineup for the Ginyu Force would be Brice Armstrong as Ginyu, Vic Mignogna as Burter, Chris Sabat as Jeice, David Kaye as Recoome, and Terry Klassen as Guldo, as those were all the best fits for those characters. For Ginyu I also love Richard Newman, Richard Epcar, and R. Bruce Elliot's versions - Dale Kelly is the only one who flat out sucked, as he was horrendously misdirected and sounded like a generic big dumb goon or an evil Popeye the Sailor Man. Don Brown was a good establishing voice for Burter, and while Vic can no longer voice him for obvious reasons, I'm glad Sabat is doing better in channeling him rather than Mark Britten, who was the worst Burter. While I like Scott McNeil and Ernesto Jason Liebrecht's Jeices in their series' better than Sabat's, Sabat as Space Australia Jeice in all the video games has been the most entertaining. Obviously David Kaye's original Recoome can never quite be measured up to, but as of the Kai dub Chris Sabat finally found his footing with the role rather than doing a bad attempt at Kaye, a weird Schwarzenegger voice, or a painfully unfunny blithering retard stereotype voice like before. And while Bill Townsley did alright as Guldo, I think Greg Ayres really refined and perfected the whiney froggy voice he was going for.
Jason Douglas is the only VA to get King Cold down pat. Bradford Jackson's approach was a bit too literal-minded in sounding like a posh, faygala king and then transitioning 100% into a threatening thug when swinging the sword at Trunks. Michael Dobson just sounded like a generic evil brute. Douglas gets down the king quality, the cold quality, and the subtle menace all in a fairly deep voice that's just deep enough and aged enough to perfectly suit the character.
On the Androids...obviously Todd Haberkorn was best suited for 19 seeing as the competition was a high pitched racist stereotype voice speaking in monotone and Cathy Weseluck trying way too hard to sound like a big dumb fatso. Both Kent Williams and Brian Dobson were stellar as 20/Dr. Gero, but the former became especially suitable for the role with each reprisal of it he's done. It's no contest with 16, as even before his improvement for Kai and beyond, Jeremy Inman's voice fit better than Scott McNeil's overly done giant voice. And while Chuck Huber and Meredith McCoy are the most iconic and perfectly suited for 17 and 18, I think all the VAs to for the characters did good enough jobs, including Colleen Clinkenbeard's 18 in Kai.
Duncan Brannan did the best Babidi, it's not even remotely close.
Beerus and Whis are simply owned by Jason Douglas and Ian Sinclair, though I don't think John DeMita and Doug Erholtz in the Bang Zoom dub were awful, they just could've been directed better.
Champa, meanwhile, is a case where the short-lived Bang Zoom dub actually managed to outdo Funimation. Kirk Thornton fits Champa's appearance and personality better than Ernesto Jason Liebrecht, and it's not even close, though Caitlin Glass and Tamara Ryan do come close to each other as Vados: their voices and tone are both perfect.
James Marsters as Zamasu is just...if anything sells Zamasu as one of the all-time greats of villainy in Dragon Ball, that casting does.
I slightly prefer Don Brown as Garlic Jr. (his monologue upon gaining immortality really clinches it for me), but Chuck Huber also put in a tremendous effort to bring life to the role so that he seems a bit more than just a throwaway filler villain. Should he ever resurface, I think Bill Townsley ought to have a crack at voicing him, as his Babidi voice was closer to Huber's Garlic than to Duncan Brannan's Babidi.
Dr. Wheelo has three VAs and rather curiously falls into the exact same situation as the three VAs for Andross of Star Fox - one of them (R. Bruce Elliot) fits a big scary villain but doesn't carry much of an old scientist quality to him, while another (Douglas Rand) sounds like a mad scientist but carries virtually no menace in his acting. And then there's the one, Ward Perry, who gets it down juuuust right.
Turles is another great Ward Perry villain role, though more so in the uncut Pioneer release dub than the TV dub where he put on what sounded like a forced impression of Brian Drummond's Vegeta. Chris Patton didn't really carry the same quality to his take on Turles in the redub, but in the games to feature Turles afterwards, especially by Xenoverse 2, he's become just as definitive a Turles voice as Ward.
Jonny Yong Bosch as Broly > Vic Mignogna as Broly, come at me, but I'm right. Also, Paul Bandey was actually the significantly better (and more entertaining) fit for Paragus in the Big Green dub of Movie 8, but the more aged Dameon Clarke fit Super's Paragus far better.
This doesn't seem the common opinion, but for the GT version of Pan I think Caitlynne Medrek of the Blue Water dub > Elise Baughman of the Funimation dub. She sounds closer to the character's age and doesn't deliver most of her lines like she's half-yawning all the time. Similarly, Carol Anne Day > Amber Cotton as Valese in that show. You just can't go wrong with Carol Anne Day!
Bura, meanwhile, is a case of when the English VAs get better and better. Parisa Fakhri had a decent voice but was a notably wooden voice actress who never really committed to selling her characters. Leda Davies in the Blue Water dub had more energy and I'd argue she fit Bura better than she ever fit Bulma. Brina Palencia took over from Parisa for a cameo in Budokai Tenkaichi 2, delivering a similar voice saying more competently acted lines. Lauren Landa, who's been Bulla ever since the end of Kai, is easily the best Bura voice, as she gets down the right voice, right energy, and right line reads.
Lastly, let's talk about the Dragon himself. Don Brown, Chris Sabat, and Dave Petit are all top tier voices for Shenron, all making him sound believable as a mighty, magical wish-granting dragon diety. Sabat has become easily the most iconic out of them and he does wonderfully....but my personal favorite remains Don Brown. Partly because of that growl he has that's very Tiger Head Cave from Aladdin sounding and befitting a dragon, but also partly because it's Don Brown. Look at his resume, particularly as DB characters like many mentioned on here, and would you ever guess that was him?

hii lira! ive been seeing a lot of wedding tiktoks (maybe a sign for me lol) but instead of actually taking it as one, im gonna tell u how i imagine ow wedding... and you really don't have to read this if you want to cus ...😭
first of all, the dress - since oc is THAT girl, i imagine her with 2 dresses, the main one and one for sort of like an afterparty? anyway i imagine first one obviously as a princess dress, not too huge but not too minimal. and the second one, something more simple - like vivienne westwood bridal dresses. though, with an original touch. i see her as a creative person and she just oozes the energy of someone that's different. (not in a pick me way). that's why she doesn't really "fit in" in the neighborhood - i see her wanting to do something completely original for her special day. so maybe self designed main dress and spicing up her other one. (personally, i rlly love this vw bridal dress, and i'd kill a bitch to wear it at MY WEDDING, https://pin.it/3dG0HSG - though, the original design doesn't include the gloves shown in the picture, so you can think of those as the special added detail.) but tbh, i'm not really sure about the big dress thing since i see her not doing too much, but at the same time, i see her doing everything she has ever imagined doing for her big day and i can tell that girl is a softie inside...no matter how much we deny it
the veil - i see her doing something VERY unique, like maybe sofia richie veil typa thing. maybe covered in pearls or diamonds for that rain droplet effect.
and i see her creating her dream dresses with designers she once worked with, because i bet she's adored in that industry!! so i bet they threw hands over who got to do the honors of working with her for her big day.
jk's outfit - well. i can't really say much cus men are basic... i mean who even looks at them while the bride is right there in all her glory? but i'm pretty sure he looked absolutely DELICIOUS that day. he definitely cried while oc was walking down the aisle and we LOVE him for that.
the guests - i don't think there were too many guests, but enough for the place to be filled with love. oc definitely doesn't seem like the type of person to invite the neighbors of relatives of relatives.
the speeches - OMG JUNGKOOK DEFINITELY CRIED HIS EYES OUT. i strongly believe that both their speeches were so so so cute that they still feel their eyes water when they see the videos of it.
the place - hmmmmm, i feel like it could've been in south korea, or if they wanted a more private one, italy or south of france maybe? and flying all the guests out, but that must've cost a fortune. OR JEJU ISLAND OMG HOW COULD I FORGET?!
but i see them getting married in the place that's really meaningful to them. one that's filled with great memories or the one they've always been talking about and planning on going to. since that hasn't been shown (yet), i cant rlly tell.
the venue - honestly, i haven't really thought about this one. it depends on the place they had their wedding in. but maybe a gorgeous beach view. a LOT of flowers. lots of lights too!
the musician - just because i love her with all my heart, i would hope one of them was none other than miss LEE-HI. especially the song "only". "On tiring nights and busy days, please make room in your heart for me to rest" like hello?? "I'll do better when you promise me we will stay together" i literally cant believe lee hi wrote a song about overwine couple??
idk but that wedding definitely had everyone going wild, had everyone wanting to marry as soon as possible and she ended up on a LOT of wedding inspiration boards.
aaand last but not least, their wedding night. but that's for lira to tell😉

so true!! not sure if oc is the type of girl to do “too much”, but she definitely is the type to stand out in a classy and simple way, yet very very outstanding with the way she carries herself in the dress. vivian westwood is so true and oc coded. it’s like you see right through her!! that dress is absolutely beautiful she’d definitely rock it. that dress makes me want to get married.
but also very true when you mention the two different dresses for her big day. i feel like she would get a different dress for the ceremony, something that brings up that princess feel but remains classy, like this (1) or this (2). love the off the shoulders look for her honestly!!

timothee during dune press tour was stellar. Zendaya was otherworldly in her outfits but timmy def held his own.
I think timothee has found his look and the brands he likes to work with alexander mcqueen, stella mcartney, vivienne westwood, bottega vanetta, heidi slimane, louis vouton and knows how to use womens wear effectively and thats why he can take more risks at the red carpet.
Timmy and Mcqueen are always his best looks. Zendaya rick owens and timmy zippersuit was legit amazing.
P.s. same with austin, elvis really elevated his fashion game and he starting to know which cuts, pieces and brands perfectly match his personality.

i’m bi with a preference towards masc individuals, and i’m open to poly relationships although i’ve only had experience with monogamous relationships. when it comes to relationships, i tend to be a bit of a worrywart about my partner’s satisfaction and happiness in the relationship, and thus a bit self-conscious. i spend a lot of time doting on my partner and put their well-being before anything else, but when i don’t receive affirmation from them in return i immediately feel like i’ve screwed up somehow. i tend to view romantic love as like a joining of two people’s souls, and for me romantic love is very much a spiritual and intense feeling/ordeal. i’m very spiritual myself and i put lots of attention into my growth and well-being in every facet of my life, esp spiritually though.
i tend to look for partners who are at least a tad clingy so my doting is reciprocated, have some sort of trauma(s) or issues (yes i try to fix them T-T), and are emotionally intelligent. i LOVE domesticity and my biggest daydream is living in a cottage with my s/o and being completely off-grid and like, having a dairy farm or something no-kill. i ADORE all animals i prefer partners who do as well, in fact not liking animals or not respecting them is a huge red flag for me. i also get romantically turned off by people who take no time to process or take into account their emotions or other people’s emotions, or by people who are “holier-than-thou” and narcissistic. also very much a red flag to me. in terms of affection, i show it mainly through quality time and physical touch, though i don’t feel limited to just those two languages. im also very autistic so i also show affection through parallel play and info-dumping. when it comes to receiving affection, i also love quality time and physical affection and parallel play, but i can find appreciation through any love language as well.

The eepiness does remind Lilia of Silver, so he just chuckles softly and tucks you in. Cater will place a kiss to your forehead whenever he finds you asleep. They both adore that even though you are kind, you are as equally stubborn. Both of them would also understand the emotional intensity; for different reasons.
I hope you’re prepared for this duo because they both are very clingy. The three of you could be out and about and people just see them trying their very best to melt into you. Someone gives you a weird look? Boom, face covered in kisses.
Speaking of kisses, they will kiss your tattoos and piercings. Lilia would be curious about the meanings, whereas Cater would gently trace over the line work. You would just be surrounded with tonnes of physical affection, and they also love getting it back, so please, drown them with it.
As for trauma, Cater finds it difficult to let people in due to his upbringing, and then Lilia definitely at least has PTSD. But it’s still trauma for both of them, both will have rough days. [You said you like to fix ‘em, well here’s two of them.]
Hair-dying sessions with both of them. Lilia would be touching up your roots, and Cater would be fixing up Lilia’s colour. It’s up to you if you can trust Lilia with your hair when it comes to maintaining the haircut. Cater would probably be the better option, he can also braid and bead your hair in cute styles.
INFODUMP TO THEM! They love seeing you get passionate and talk about hyper-fixations! Cater would mainly be quiet and looking at you all softly, whereas Lilia would occasionally join in with you, especially on topics that he himself enjoys; this can go on for hours at a time.
Lilia would LOVE the off-grid cottage lifestyle! The two of you would be out tending to the cows, and any other animal friends you have. Cater less so, but he comes to enjoy it eventually; he can be mostly found in the vegetable garden or with the barn cats.
You can and will have dates where you sit around and play video games together, and then go foraging. Cater would probably enjoy Stardew Valley, whereas Lilia would like Resident Evil.
DO NOT LET LILIA COOK! Cater will body slam Lilia to stay out of the kitchen. Please, for all of your well-being, please be the only cook.

There was a great article in the New Yorker a couple years ago about the so-called trauma plot in fiction where literature has sort of acquired this assumption that every personality trait needs to have an explanation, and the explanation is always that something bad happened to this person in the past.
stuff like that is how you end up with something like the cruella movie where it’s “oh she’s actually a very talented fashion designer who’s exploited by the establishment, and the establishment had a pair of mean dalmatians that cruella somehow won over. but 20 years later, what she really wants is to murder a bunch of puppies to make a coat.”
NO! cruella deville is a fairy tale character in the context of a sort of witty, early 60s, jazzy movie about a young married couple. she’s, like, weird fashion King Arthur. she’s not a person. she’s a mythical creature. and trying to give her psychology and depth and also say something about Vivian Westwood style fashion innovation in mid-century London… NO! It’s pointless! she’s a fairy tale witch. she’s a creature in the woods. and you don’t need to psychologize people who want to kill dogs. you just don’t.
maleficent is somewhat more sensible because it’s at least working in fairy tale conceit. and there is sort of a noble literary tradition of complicating these archetypes. there have actually been some successful attempts in contemporary literature to fill in the pages that are missing from classical stories and fairy tales that concern women’s lives. and maleficent is working within that tradition, and the tradition of more frightening fairy tales. it’s returning the sort of scariness back to the disney stories in a way that the original cartoons often to an extent leeched away. iunno. it’s been so long since I’ve seen it, to be perfectly honest. cruella just struck me as so utterly pointless that I’ve gotten angrier and angrier about it the more I’ve thought about it.

Let's (re)Read The Eye of the Worldl! Chapter 6: The Westwood
Welcome to another chapter of my reread of The Wheel of Time, which can and will spoil everything shamelessly. For example, Rosebud was the sled that Tam used to get down from Dragonmount after saving Rand from his real father, Darth Vader! If that bothers you, not only should you run away, but you should definitely consider blocking tags like "wheel of time spoilers" and "wot spoilers", which I'm using and other good people are using too!
In the moonlight Rand could not really see what he was doing, but Tam’s wound seemed to be only a shallow gash along the ribs, no longer than the palm of his hand. He shook his head in disbelief. He had seen his father take more of an injury than that and not even stop work except to wash it off.
Part of the downside with Rand being very sheltered is that it never occurs to him the armies of evil might have more to their swords than just the blades. Even without getting into the actual magic that I believe they use, there could easily be poisons involved. Likely the Wheel ensured Tam got fucked like this as much to hurry Rand's education as anything else.
Abruptly he realized he was holding the untied ends of the bandage in motionless hands. Frozen like a rabbit that’s seen a hawk’s shadow, he thought scornfully.
Again Rand has a moment where he goes into shock at the stresses he's under, which is a nicely realistic touch.
“Mother wants you to be quiet,” Rand whispered. He paused to clear his throat of a sudden tightness. She had had gentle hands; he remembered that much. “Kari wants you to be quiet. Here. Drink.”
At the same time, we get lots of little ways that Rand is pretty good in emergencies once he can power through his hang-ups. He refuses to worry about things he can't fix and is resourceful in keeping Tam from giving them away in the midst of his fever.
Belt and sheath and sword together only weighed a few pounds, but when he sheathed the blade it seemed to drag at him like a great weight.
It's the genetic memory of being so fiercely anti-sword, obviously. You're lucky you didn't throw up when you practiced waving it around last chapter, Rand, let alone when you actually killed something with it. (And then he went on to use his sword as an axe in a positive way, which really clashes both with the Aiel perspective and Perrin's whole thing. Being the chosen one has its perks!)
He had to assume the Trollocs were still hunting them, and sooner or later they would realize the two had set off for the village. That was the most likely place to go, and the Quarry Road the most likely route.
Considering the fandom jokes about the Wondergirls constantly and deliberately stepping into traps that they know are there, let the record show that it's Rand who first goes, "Yeah this is obviously what my enemies would expect but I'm gonna hafta do it anyway."
He muttered to himself, angry at not taking some food at the farm.
This probably worked out for the best. The food would be no good to Tam and the delay for Rand to eat (since he certainly couldn't drag his dad and munch at the same time) would only make him harder to heal once they get there. Plus there's no guarantee that the Trollocs left any food or that the sniffers wouldn't be able to find Rand quicker with extra scent.
Also the poor boy thinks there's even the slightest chance of having lamb stew when he gets to the inn and I just feel so bad for him that his expectations have so thoroughly and unkindly divorced from reality.
“They came over the Dragonwall like a flood,” Tam said suddenly, in a strong, angry voice, “and washed the land with blood. How many died for Laman’s sin?”
Like Rand, I assumed on my first read that Tam was referring to Trollocs and that he'd gotten his sword fighting Shadowspawn despite having said he'd never fought them. Boy was I wrong.
“They called them savages,” Tam said urgently. “The fools said they could be swept aside like rubbish. How many battles lost, how many cities burned, before they faced the truth? Before the nations stood together against them?”
While the Vietcong did not - to my knowledge, but I wasn't alive at the time - end up cutting a bloody swathe across any continent leaving only devastation in their wake, I can't help but feel that this is something that came to Jordan from having to be in a land of so-called savages and deal with the fact that by and large they weren't. Really, the Aiel are both sides of the War rolled into one, with the devastation they left behind them not at all dissimilar to how the US armed forces like to go about things.
Behind the dark rider came nightmare forms with horns and muzzles and beaks, Trollocs in a double file, all in steps, boots and hooves striking the ground at the same instant as if obeying a single mind.
Considering all the various details we have about Trollocs and the Myrdraal (specifically, if you don't know, that Fades occur in Trolloc stock at the same rate that channelers occur in uncorrupted humans), I suppose we should count the Shadow as having its own answer to the Problem of Channelers: pervert both magic user and mundane to the point where mind control of the latter is second nature to the former. This bumps everyone except the Seanchan up a slot in the rankings, relatively speaking, and boy does it say a LOT about the Seanchan that their system is really only the Shadow's system pointed the other way around.
Exactly opposite Rand the horse stopped again, the shadowed opening of the hood turning toward where he crouched above his father.
In our grand LotR rip-off analysis, this is the moment when the Nazgul nearly comes upon the four hobbits on the road.
He did not care any more about why the Trollocs had come. If he never found out why, that would be fine, just as long as it was all ended.
Well Rand, that's going to be a problem, because they're pretty obviously looking for you or Tam in particular and they're still out there. You don't have video games to teach you that threats stop existing once you get far enough away from them, so where are you getting this crazy idea that you just have to get to town and you'll be safe? The riders went to town!
Frankly, I don't even think this is actually stupidity. I think he's well aware that something is up and is already turning to denial to get through it.
“They never make peace. Never. But they brought a sapling, as a sign of peace. Five hundred years it grew. Five hundred years of peace with those who make no peace with strangers. Why did he cut it down? Why? Blood was the price for Avendoraldera. Blood the price for Laman’s pride.”
Well Tam, when you get to be very rich and important your brain turns into a lump that is 95% pure evil and 5% feces, so the idea that you shouldn't be allowed to do anything you please loses all meaning until reality - or the Aiel - smacks you in the face with your bad assumptions.
The Tree of Life was supposed to have all sorts of miraculous qualities, but none of the stories mentioned any sapling, or any “they.” There was only the one, and that belonged to the Green Man.
Huh, guess that my statement that magic stories tended to be universally true wasn't quite on the money. Then again though, why isn't this something Rand knows? Five hundred years is plenty of time for the story to spread around the subcontinent, and something as wondrous as a cutting of the Tree of Life is exactly the sort of thing that gets stories going - you'd think there'd be tales of pilgrimages to it or comedies about people trying to steal their own cuttings or something.
It would make more sense if Rand knew about Cairhien having the tree and was completely ignorant it had ever been cut down because the Aiel War had no lasting impact on the Two Rivers culture and so it had never come up.

They tend to be pretty good about making people obey their customs. It's one of those things that's best not to get too worked up over, but I have to say that Third Agers need to find a better balance in dealing with the needs and limitations of pregnant women than the extremes of "Yeah come join us on our jihad to kill your uncle-in-law, you can go into labor whenever, wherever," and "You're ten days pregnant, are you sure you should be getting out of bed before the babies are born?"

Rand again turns to denial to deal with his troubles, which is a tool he will cling to so long that Sanderson ends up being the guy to cure him of it. Of course, already he's hit with the limits of denial: there's really no way for Tam to be coherent enough to ramble the way he is and also be so far gone as to be making up adoption scenarios. But getting to be consumed by this turmoil means he can avoid thinking about how obvious it is that the Shadowspawn wanted something from his family in particular, and that's good enough for him right now. Heck, it's really going to be his modus operandi going forward: let each new trauma completely bury the old one without ever having to process it. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
Short chapter today, but tomorrow's will be a bit longer! We'll see Rand get Out of the Woods, though sadly early forecasts are predicting a complete absence of lamb stew, unless the stew is a metaphor for the trouble our heroes are in and their innocence and naivety lets "lamb" be an appropriate metaphor for them!

she never knew where the arc of belonging stemmed in her surrounding cocoon; whether peace was sought in the arms of others, or if she were better on her lonesome. ensuing all these years, elle finally achieved an answer. “ if you turned your back on me... i would not be alive. ” voice lowered an octave or two as a certain softness broke free. she persisted a hard strength in her response, telling him, opposed to letting him conjure an opinionated reaction. this was how she saw it, and the raw truth shan't sway. end of story. she watched him beneath a furrowed brow, not judging per se, merely watching, trying to read and fathom without prompting any questions. after a moments quietude beat between them, she sighed a long and rattled breath. “ the world is cruel, and... and so scary. but i do not think you will ever turn from it com— compel— ” unwarranted frustration bubbled in the throat, so she quite literally spat the word upon wrestling its pronunciation. “ completely. ”
elle gently picked up his left hand within her own, a sudden change from the slightly stubborn demeanour. perhaps his words were a passing comment, or something deeper burrowing underneath the skin... whatever reason, the child held it rather personally. no further moves attempted, she just held him with an almost lax grasp, thumb unconsciously soothing timid strokes amongst his palm. “ you are too much a good person to do that. even if you do not think it... i do. i know it. ” the index finger on her right hand pointed, jabbed at her heart to add important emphasis to pronounced declaration.

here’s how euphoria s3 can still work:
ngl if euphoria has an s3 i just wanna see all the girls happy in therapy and developing healthy repaired relationships and nate suffering. they need some succession writers pulling cousin greg succession whump levels of pathetic. make that man a loser as kat knew. not bc he isn’t living up to his expectations but bc he feels no shame about the harm he’s caused others. also, more interaction w elliot and nate just awkwardly in college altho i hope elliot meets a nice guy like a jock similar to who derek was and despite their differences, they grow to find happiness. maybe someone straight lace like lexi but social anxiety-ridden like rue and struggles to communicate, but in times of stress blurts out the truth and elliot just laughs bc he knows and is deeply intuitive.
like so far even when i’m in college nate is not relatable, and in fact the moment u get here you’re surrounded by ppl who are sometimes more advanced than u and i wanna see him crushed under that while refusing to improve and it killing him in this graphic, gory manner with intense greek mythological creature horror effects while the girls are motivated in whatever their choose to do w their lives but also make efforts to repair their relationships to one another.
the aesthetics revert to this glittery s1 while cassie adopts a darker, more effy stonem look but simply “darker and messy” but not fully emo like kat was, while dressing how she truly wants to dress w/o influence of maddy, but also in more complex mixed layers and patterns. lots of dark blues, maroon reds, blacks, greys, and silvers. some vivienne westwood archive looks that sounds cute and lexi wore a miu miu dress lol and bc cassie is now embracing her body but for her own sake and not anyone elses w/o feeling like she has to compensate to just exist. for once, she lets herself exist and dress as she wants even if others make fun of her or find it over the top, but it’s her.
and i’m assuming cassie finds friends who don’t give a shit abt her past w the leaks and in fact affirm she was a victim in that situation by those who manipulated her. the context of this is connected to kat, and rue narrates the negatives of what lat went thru similarly and closes the gap w her by acknowledging her presence (which levinson sounds scared to do) now that barbie is no longer present in the show.
also jules and rue seem to have mended things but i hope they talk bc a lot was left unsaid when they didn’t speak. cassie also needs to apologize to maddy bc it’s clear a part of her regrets her actions (ex: flaunting maddy’s abuser in her face) altho cassie is now part of nate’s abusive cycle and some of it is out of her control and she feels lonely, and knew inside that maddy and her family held that support nate and his disaffected parents could never replace. she does need to find friends outside of maddy tho bc part of her feels like she can’t always admit the truth to her, and college is the perfect atmosphere for new friends who acknowledge but don’t hate the old you.
it’s clear cassie never liked nate and liked the idea of someone who disregarded her past (even if she doesn’t know he was in on the reason the entire school demeans her) and i’d also like rue and lexi being roommates. lexi might be a writer but consider something else more “practical” like a stem field, and rue is undecided but considers becoming a child psychologist. i see jules as an artist that often brings awareness to childhood psychiatric abuses in her art as she grows popular, and moves to ny w maddy eventually
maddy and jules remain friends, and maddy decides to leave in east highland but adapt to college there first, as all she needed was a transition from her traumas associated w high school, and majors in fashion design, marketing, and fashion sustainability while also acing math bc surprise suprise this girl remembers everything. cassie i’m not so sure of, i think she’d be an excellent public speaker (obviously lmao) but i’m not sure what career she’d map out

JUNE 1st --> JUNE 31st
triggers: death, slight gore, kind of suicide but also not because he resurrects himself and it isn’t out of a suicidal mindset? but nonetheless.
Due to his resurrection ability, he was largely unwounded. He had died and brought himself back to life just enough -- primarily in his duel with Antonio Duke -- that his wounds didn’t matter. Didn’t require medical attention. When he was back home, he shed his skin and even the surface cuts were gone.
However pleased he was with the work he’d done on Emmeline Essex when the serpent soul took over, maiming and killing her so many times that life would be even more unbearable, it didn’t make up for the guilt he felt over having to kill his son ( he’s not really his son, just so everyone knows ), Joseph Kontos.
Of course, I feel like it should be known that he resurrected Joseph only moments after killing him -- just giving himself time to re-situate his disguise and all. But he likes to pretend he had no choice. It was kill or be killed when Joseph was taken over by the new beast who wouldn’t listen to reason.
Continuing seeing Joseph has been rough on his conscience as he has begun experiencing an emotion he hasn’t felt in over a decade: guilt.
This has driven his televangelism programs insane. While the regular preaching is still offered every now and again, he has begun killing himself in heinous ways, reassuring those filming that he can resurrect himself. He’s jumped from buildings, he’s set himself on fire ( David teas ), and, most importantly, he has left himself up on trees and crosses for days on end as if to crucify himself. Yet, it does not assuage the guilt. He is used to the experience of death, no longer finding it traumatizing. Everyone else?
This has made some of his ‘followers’ even more fanatic, while others have become worried and sent him some mail. A few abandoned the program. It’s somehow making him both more successful and less successful. ( Worth noting that there are some anti-mutant folks who love it -- they get to see a mutant die gruesomely ! )
Leviathan has not come out since.
FULL ARC ONE RECAP BELOW:
he meets hale’s kidnapper, now an npc, gives him a lil beatdown, and paces around all night, oscillating between man and snake.
he meets finley walsh and, as with all new recruits, immediately exemplifies his distrust of her. of course, his distrust of finley had been amplified by: 1) the method of her initiation, 2) her feigned bravado, and 3) her reason for joining the brotherhood.
he then meets isobel cooper who has has the exact same concerns about. her hesitation to take him up on his offer to give her a proper initiation being dismissed ? her clear intimidation ? the cherry on top.
in addition to those two ( as he never met april -- or, at the very least, their meeting was never written ), he was wary of elliott winslow ( though he wound up gaining respect for him -- not fondness or trust, but respect ), daichi kato ( for clearly buying his way into top agent ), and tenzin tashi ( for having been around for the shortest time of the bunch, walking with bravado, yet reacting to her failed mission as if she had been traumatized ).
he voices these concerns to ezra shaw who largely dismisses them, reassuring mark that they would have ways to take care of any rats, and they then proceeded to hit up the town... but gray and i never got to writing that part because i forgot...
he also voices these concerns to irena westwood, who completely dismisses them and tries to pull the card of ‘i’m in a position of power, you aren’t.’
during this time, he has been intimidating congressman christopher masten ( in a gdocs thread tin and i never got to post ), trying to sway him without any direct threats to stop accepting money from anti-mutant organizations. he has a better chance of being elected if he runs pro-mutant due to all the changes that have arisen, he has a son whose world would be worse if christopher won, etc etc. how does mark know all of this ? six degrees of separation. the priest that had taken him in, the person he had asked a ‘favor’ of -- they linked back to masten.
this obviously did not end so well for christopher, and mark is honestly a little bit pissed that he wasn’t the one who got to kill that fucker ! because he was the one who’d been indirectly threatening him !
to make matters worse, of course martha seong would find out finley walsh was a spy -- something no one believed him about -- on that mission. jesus.
he, on the other hand, was sent to kill some unknown fucker with jude harrier. at least they got to turn him into a snake and dismember him ?
his rage and joy, his anger and glee, sparked a change. he had always gone by the alias ‘leviathan,’ but something truly snapped in him. a demeanor that changed entirely, not by choice, proved more powerful and even more blood-thirsty. the serpent soul, the real leviathan.
he went to the bar that i can’t remember the name of and brutally killed the bartender, stripping his face, making him shed his skin, and forcing him between cycles of life and death. everyone who was there was threatened in turn. he then gave the skin of the guy’s face to someone as a mask <3 before going out to commit other atrocities.
this opened up a world of possibilities
he returned to everyone who had doubted him, now in leviathan form. irena was genuinely terrified of him, everyone else being not so pleased with his new demeanor themselves.
to completely switch tunes, he ran into ex dante hernandez and had a heated talk. this comes up simply because i imagine it will be important later on.
in addition, he ran into joseph kontos while in the form of the titanoboa, connection immediately forming due to the snake status. when joseph returned to normal, mark recognized him as a young man who desperately needed help and, as mark was both lucky enough to have zoolingualism as a subpower and felt a bond, he worked out a schedule for joseph to come see him.
the first time joseph arrived at his house -- his private address, too ! -- he ran over the psychology and the possibilities. it was easy to compare joseph’s experiences with the prehistoric creatures with his own experiences with snakes, but the key was figuring out what could prompt the change.
then, during the attack on the xavier institute, joseph became collateral damage as he tried to make river masten fly. believe it or not, it wasn’t out of direct malice ( though there was some misplaced anger over christopher ) -- he had no plans to directly hurt river and would resurrect him on the off chance he died. but river made joseph intervene. thus, joseph turned into a beautiful beast and tried to fight him. mark had to kill him, resurrection coming a few moments after.

Umm, I've followed you for almost two years now and remember you mentioning at least... three(?) projects you want to turn into a book. Can you be a bit more specific which one that is? ':D
LMAO i've got a lot of books *in the works* but this one has been my main passion project since last august :D i should probably give y'all a proper pitch for it since i don't think i've been very transparent with what its about lol
so! Eat Your Heart Out is a story that follows its main character, Sage Sasaki, in working on a strange case of murder and cannibalism caused by a once peaceful and reserved woman, Ivy Sutherland. It's a small town where everyone kind of knows everyone to some extent, and Ivy was well known for being married to one of the most well-respected police officers for years, until their messy divorce and her ex's brutal end at her hands. Most are willing to accept she's gone insane for some unknown reason, but Sage is convinced there's more to it, and spends night and day trying to analyse her, figuring her out, which will therefore allow her to more easily track her down. It's just too bad her coworkers aren't willing to hear her out on her ideas.
Growing frustrated from people looking down at her, Sage starts going off on her own, searching for Ivy herself in hopes of people finally recognising her for all of her hard work. One time she does this, she comes across a mysterious voice, claiming to be an innocent hiker, blissfully unaware of Westwood's latest murders, that is, until Sage explains everything. She's told to return to that spot so they meet again in exchange for information, and against her better judgement, Sage agrees, growing desperate to get ahead of her coworkers. When she arrives, she demands the hiker to show her face. Surprise surprise, it's Ivy herself. Even more surprisingly, Ivy allows her to interview her for unknown reasons. She gives flimsy, vague answers, but it's something. Bizarrely, she lets Sage walk free afterwards; usually she'd kill any eye witness on scene, so it's left Sage incredibly confused.
But hey, until she can figure out a way to capture Ivy without risking being killed and eaten brutally, as well as find a good way to tell her coworkers she came into contact with her without anything happening to her, she has a good source of information. What better place to find information about Ivy but from Ivy herself? Especially when there's something incredibly off about her. INCREDIBLY off.
It's not like speaking to her so much is going to have consequences. It's not like Sage becomes more and more fascinated by her, or worse, sympathetic. It's not like she prefers Ivy's company over anyone else's or anything.
Because that would be wrong.
That would be very terrible and wrong, right?

Damn. What an opener.
This is a melodic hip-hop song in which Drake details the toxic parts of his relationship with a woman he wants more from. He wants to break the cycle but keeps finding himself back at square one each time. This song isn't subtle in the slightest; it's 100% about Nicki. As previously mentioned in my breakdown of Tuscan Leather, Nicki and Drake still weren't on the best of terms during this time. In this opener Drake also mentions kids. In a now famous interview with Tim Westwood, Nicki jokingly talked (in great detail while in front of her boyfriend) about what having kids with Drake would be like. This might seem like nothing, but this wasn't the first, nor the last time Nicki would make a comment like this. This tells me that they have had these conversations a lot. Two best friends, who supposedly (well at least on Nicki's end at the time) only saw each other as brother and sister seemed to relish in talking about having kids with each other. It's strange, but not that strange when you consider that one part of the party has to pretend to be okay with being in the friend zone. Next Drake raps: "Swanging, eyes closed, just swanging/Same city, same friends, if you're looking for me/Same city, same friends, if you're looking." When he says "swanging", he's referring to baseball. He's still swanging (working), but just because he's working doesn't mean that he isn't around. If Nicki wants to see him, she knows where to find him. "Don't talk to me like I'm famous/And don't assume, 'cause I don't respect assumptions, babe/I'm just tryna connect with somethin', babe." This part speaks further on the divide between Nicki and Drake. Nicki used this break in their friendship as an excuse to treat him differently. She assumed that he wouldn't have time for her, because she also assumed that Drake didn't have time for Young Money, i.e., Nicki becoming upset because Drake didn't have anyone from Young Money on his album and he was branching out with his new label OVO. So to Nicki, this is "Hollywood Drake" not her Drake. She thinks that he's changed and that he only cares about superficial relationships. This leads Nicki to assume that Drake no longer has room in his life for her or cares about her, even when he feels the exact opposite. He didn't leave Young Money behind, he just needed a change of pace and creating a company with his friends from Toronto was exactly what he needed. Drake is just "tryna connect with somethin'", referring to his flings and dates with other women as he seeks to fill the loneliness he feels. During this time he was flirting with models and hanging out with Rihanna.
Drake raps in his next verse, "She just wanna run over my feelings/Like she drinking and driving in a eighteen-wheeler/And I'd allow her." This is about the rejection Drake faced with Nicki (multiple times). Nicki still refuses to take him and his feelings about her seriously, while simultaneously ignoring him. It's like Nicki is driving with blinders on, bulldozing down anything she sees as a roadblock — killing Drake over and over again in the process. But he lets her, because he doesn't want to let her go.
"She used to say, "You can be whoever you want, even yourself"/Yeah, I show up knowin' exactly who I was/And never leave as myself." In the early days of Young Money, Drake and Nicki would spend time with each other for hours. Talking on the phone, or just chilling. They would have these deep conversations about life and where they envisioned themselves in the future. This definitely sounds like Nicki giving Drake words of wisdom. The issue though is that Drake would get so caught up in Nicki, that he would forget where they stood. He was "the best friend", and Nicki had a boyfriend. Drake obviously isn't comfortable being just her friend: "Wish you would learn to love people and use things/And not the other way around." Despite their friendship, Drake can't help but feel like he's being used by Nicki. She'll partake in the flirting, fantasize about having babies with him, but then call him her "lil bro" if he tries to make a move on her. Towards the end of the song Drake reminisces on his life before he became famous, relishing in the simpleness of those times and how they affect how he moves in the present. At the end he raps: "But don't fall asleep on me, hang in there/I'm on the road right now, swangin, girl." This can be taken literally and figuratively. Drake is literally talking about driving (swanging) home and wanting the girl he loves to wait up for him. But metaphorically, Drake wants Nicki to have more patience with him and "don't fall asleep" (don't walk away) because he's on his way to her (he's trying to make time to spend time with her).
