Am I the only one who wishes there had been a complete plot twist and this would've turned out to be Danika and not Sigrid.

I know they establish that if you've been "dead for too long," it's impossible. But I wish... like we got so much Danika backstory. I wish we could've had her back. It would've added so much to Baxian too.

Anyway, this was just a pipe dream, but it was the first thought that ran through my head when I got to this part, and I wish it had been the case!!

Fury Axtar - Like WTF, she is such as badass character, with this whole hinted Holy Trinity of Sleek Black Bobs thing (Amren, Viper Queen and Fury) and she has been reduced to fetching things for Bryce (drugs, helicopters, guns, ski gear)

Ariadne - where'd she go? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sofie Renast - SJMaas keeps bringing her up but why? Is she important or not?

Sigrid Fendyr - circumstances (*cough* Ithan) keep getting in the way, but she must be destined for more than just sucking souls

Cooper Renast/Quinlan - just to keep Ember company?

Baxian - Official hand biter and Avallen babysittter. Reluctant flerd wrangler.

I hope that all these characters are just being set up for more exploration in future books (Rhysand in ACOTAR 1) but I'm starting to get the feeling that this is just it, and it's a case of too many side characters, too little time. I mean even Tharion, Ithan and Hypaxia's stories felt a little squashed to me, like there wasn't enough room for them to be main characters.
