Does anybody actually know what causes the unremoveable CC glitch? or how to fix it even?

I took off the tattoo but it is still there and i can even apply something in the same category

Can only remove it by the undo button

Some tricks to paint your animals in CAS

I won't make a tutorial because I wouldn't know where to start and honestly, it's mostly through practice that you'll improve yourself at painting. But here are a few tricks that might help you. 1. Enter the cheat code "cas. clockspeed 2" to almost pause the time in CAS. When the animal is breathing too fast it really makes it more difficult to paint details. 2. When you want to paint small details on your pet's face, click on "edit details", then double click anywhere else to exit the details painting mode without zooming out. You'll have a closer look of what you're doing. 3. Be aware that you can have a much darker black paint by pulling down the slider lower than it is set.

4. Use pictures as references. Can sound silly, but it isn't just for inspiration, it will really help you to see better where you are supposed to paint the lights. Aaand they are really important since they will give much more landforms, and therefore, realism to your animals. 5. Paint the eyelids and the nose of your pets. Trust me, they will look much more expressive and realistic. 6. You can paint thinner traits with a simple technique. First, you make the trait you want using the colour you want, usually darker than your pet's colour.

Once you've done your trait the way you want it, select the pet's base colour (white in this exemple) and draw an other trait just next to the first one. It has to be very close to erase some of it but not all.

7. Make a hairy effect using the fur brushes. Use different ones, set them to to smallest option on the face and more or less bigger on the body, depending on the hair length. Also, you can start with a dark colour and draw lighter above. Pay attention of the orientation of your brushes; respect the hair's direction. 8. Don't hesitate to mess around with different colours and opacity. 9. Use fur brushes with a darker colour to give some shadows and landforms to your animals.

Before I submit it to EA Help, since the update has anyone had an issue where a premade's interactions with others (when in control of the premade) don't really work?

I can have them interact with inanimate objects, like cooking, gardening etc, and they'll interact with others autonomously. However unless I click on an object with another Sim (ie. "play chess with [gliched premade]" I can't do any social interactions with them.

(For the record I've tried resetting them through cheats, saving the household to the gallery, creating a new save, trying the same character in a different save etc.)

Question: What constitutes CC as maxis match vs. alpha? And what does maxis mix mean?

I’ve been apart of the sims franchise for years. And I started modding my game when I was young. I’ve realized that I actually lack understanding around some of the communities common language around CC and mods.

The following are how I define what the difference is between alpha and maxis match. I’m hoping y’all can help me expand on my definitions and understanding so when I’m downloading content I better understand what I’m looking for and what I like.

Maxis Match - the custom content (cc) looks as though maxis’ art team or game designers would have created something similar. It matches the overall aesthetics of what’s already in the games. To me there appears to be more a cartoon feel and look to the designs. For example, clay hair (which I’ve come to understand is the style of hair art the game uses) would considered maxis match.

Alpha - the CC is designed to look more realistic using real life as inspiration. There’s more a crispness- and this where my definition falls short. What is Alpha content? How can I tell difference? I can usually tell the difference between hairs, as they feel most obvious to me but I don’t even know how I would describe what’s different.

Maxis Mix - Uh, I honestly don’t know what this means. My best guess would be someone who uses both styles of content maxis match and alpha.

Help! Sims 4 Lag?

Hello everyone! I bought a new PC a month ago and finally moved everything over to the new computer. Whenever I try to play Sims, it starts lagging quite a bit.

Which makes NO SENSE as my new computer is a MAJOR upgrade in comparison to my last one. Does anyone know any reason why this could be happening? Any suggestions?

pls help i CANNOT make these lashes work. i have tried no cc (literally nothing but the lashes and remover etc), i have tried them + kijiko's, them with different eyelashes removers, etc... i cannot find what is causing this issue and google isn't helping me. i sent a direct message to @obscurus-sims but i mean idk if they will ever see it or respond ;_; i don't have any simmer i talk to anymore, i just came back and this is the only place i know where to ask it's this set https://www.patreon.com/posts/skin-n25-overlay-76885065 the #1 set of lashes i want to use the most :(

@maddi-sims asked what my lifespan was like for my SimNation BACC. Here it is!

Every year is 4 days, which means 1 day is 3 months.

When Sims become Elders, I will roll a D40 to see how many years they'll have left. A Sim could get lucky and live all the way to 100 years old.

I feel so embarrassed to even ask this but I want to buy a gaming laptop for the sims 4 that can run with tons of cc and doesn't take hours to load the game. Currently have a Lenovo IdeaPad L340 15 with AMD RYZEN 5-3500U, 16GB, 512 GB SSD. I have 200 GB of CC and moved it to my external drive and run it from there (yes it's possible) and it doesn't matter, it still plays like shit.

Anyone willing to tell me what kind of laptop you guys use? How the sims runs and how many cc you have? If you're just a pc nerd (BLESS YOU) what would you suggest? My limit is around 1500. Keep in mind I'm European but I will glady take any advice!

How to Subscribe to a Thread at EA Answers AHQ (AHQ)

One of the best things about Broken/Updated Mods moving from the Sims Forums to EA Answers HQ is that any Simmer can subscribe to the thread and receive notifications when they want, where they want. To make that easier for those of you new to AHQ, here's how to subscribe. 1. To subscribe to a thread so that you can receive notifications for it, first go to the top right to sign in. You’ll use the same login that you use for the EA App.

2. Then go to the top of the thread you want to keep up with. Open the Topic Options dropdown menu, then select Subscribe. You'll automatically get notifications immediately when there's a new post, but keep reading to find out how to personalize those.

3. To choose where and when to get notifications that there are new posts in the thread, go to the top right again, and open the dropdown menu next to your user name. Then open Settings.

4. From the bottom of the Settings menu, open Subscriptions & Notifications. (You can check lots of other settings while you’re here! Some will be populated from your EA account.)

5. Some of the options near the top let you turn OFF different kinds of notifications. This is the “where”. I have mobile notifications off, personally, and email ones on. You might have very different preferences from me!

Further down, you’ll see an option for the “when” for your subscription notifications. There’s a good chance you’d rather get these daily or even weekly. If you like faster notice of when there are updated mods or of what broke on patch day, I’d suggest daily. It also makes for fewer notifications than “immediately”, especially if you decide there are other threads you’d like to subscribe to.

Howdy to Sims community!! I appreciate the support for the lookbooks I have been creating and have come to the realization that…I want to start making my own cc. I’ve been doing some research on my own on how to go about doing so but have hit a couple of snags in terms of creating swatches/textures on clothing pieces.

So, if you all have any videos/tutorials on how the following:

Exporting multiple garments from Marvelous Designer into Blender as separate pieces.

Adding denim overlays to jeans (I haven’t worked too much in Zbrush/Surface Painter)

I’ve included some examples below of some of the things I would like to create to give an idea on some of the things I’d need help with :)

I haven't had any luck on Reddit or Twitter so asking Tumblr... Anyone know what could be causing this glitch?

I already tried removing ALL CC / mods then clearing the cache and repairing the game and it's still happening. It only affects some of my Sims, like mainly ones in this bloodline (but not all, like the Sim in the middle has a daughter who looks normal but his sisters and son are messed up.)

Is it an actual glitch? I don't see how it could be mod-related since I removed it all. Anyone else experiencing this? So far I've only seen 2 other people say it happened to them on Reddit.

So I dove into the Wildfangs for a bit and the vampires and woof-woofs relationships are all completely reset with each other lolololol. Which is fine but I had been working on the 'nice' vampires (Caleb, Lilith and Brandy) trying to bridge the occult gap - especially with Lily being the Vatores' cousin - and had actually got some relationships into the green before that happened :x

negl, I know it's a silly thing but this kind of sours me on gameplay a little. While I'm looking into cheats, in the meantime I've set Rory's reputation to PRISTINE and Lou's to GREAT and will do the same with various other Sims to see if I can offset this.

(Forgot to say but I even cheated the MEMORABLE trait for everyone precisely to reduce the chances of this kind of thing happening.)

For Rent Pack Users: Help Needed

Hey lovelies. I just got the For Rent pack the week after Christmas and so far I'm loving it, but recently I've been getting this glitch/bug and I'm wondering if it's just the pack itself or if it's a mod that I need to check out.

Here's a quick screenshot:

For some reason this is what comes up instead of the families that live inside of it for any of the rental lots. Has anybody been through this yet? Any advice and or reblogs to pass the word along is appreciated.

CAS organizer help

Hey guys, I have been updating the Tidy CAS mod by @sparrowcc and I have an issue with CAS orders.

I used a Base game item to create them. Now they show up in front of all the base game stuff but not for example the scars from werewolves. The "order in CAS" number is already the lowest it can go.

Any idea if I can fix this other than using an item from werewolves? Ideally they would always be sorted at the front, even when new packs come out.

Edit:

Edit 2: I managed to change it to the Werewolves pack ID now, but it still doesn't show up before the scars??

Edit 3: Even if I clone my Tidy file off the Werewolf scar, it is not in front of it in CAS. 

I give up, this is not something I can resolve atm.
