Fah and Prince's kiss was so precious that I literally need to rant about it. It was so fragile in touch, so timid, tender, and delicate. Almost like a trial kiss. Like the ones after won't be so gentle. Fah was hurting, and even though he was in pain, you can see clearly by the way he holds Prince's hand to his chest that he meant every single action he made. I can't help but rewatch it. It's one of those kisses that aren't outright messy or deep, or heated. It's the kind that shows you two people are beginning to fall in love.

(Also TopTap made his first appearance today!! Hoping that his and Mike's character have a little something happen, but I won't hold my breath.)

Have any of the writers/creators of Sky In Your Heart ever even spoken to a woman before? Seriously. Between Yaya agreeing to the arranged marriage because she saw her husband and he’s hot now, the myriad of girls just throwing themselves at Fah in the bar like he’s the last man on earth and they need to start repopulating, and Kitty who just...don’t even get me started. She feels like a knockoff faen fatale. I can’t even.

The GMMTV Kissing Multiverse, an Update

Hello everyone! Thank you all for your help with the GMMTV Kissing Multiverse project so far. I thought I would give an update.

Must be lip to lip contact

Must be shown on screen in a GMMTV tv series (no kisses from ads, promotional content, etc.)

Poll Update

I enlisted all of your help deciding if the WaiKorn sorta kiss from the Bad Buddy x ATOTS Our Skyy 2 episodes actually involved lip touching and if the HeartLiMing kiss from Moonlight Chicken should be included.

The results are in: you voted that Jimmy and Drake's lips do NOT touch, therefore their kiss will be NOT be counted in this project. The HeartLiMing poll resulted in an exact tie (!!!) so I am here to be the tie breaker - upon careful review, if we don't see the lips touch, the kiss doesn't count (I think that will be easier for decision-making in the long run). Therefore, the HeartLiMing kiss will NOT be counted in this project. Thanks everyone for participating!

2. Jojo has an... outsized impact on the number of kissing pairs. He directed 5 of the top 9 shows with the most different kissing pairs - and roughly 17% of all the shows analyzed - but his shows contain about 30% of kisses present in the data set (note: I am just looking at kissing pair iterations here not at unique kissing pairs, e.g., Phuwin/Pond are a pair in two shows (once in a Jojo show and once in a non-Jojo show), so they are counted twice. Otherwise I would have to think about in what show/under which director a kissing pair first originated, how many different shows/directors they've kissed under... this section is mostly a quick exercise in showing how Jojo has a lot of different kissers in his shows so I'm not trying to be that statistically accurate.)

The median number of "different kissing pairs per show" of a Jojo show is 3.38, compared to a median of only 1.69 "different kissing pairs per show" in non-Jojo shows.

3. There were more same gender kissing pairs than mixed gender kissing pairs, though not by much. This may also reflect the data set used (I know I am more familiar with QLs than het GMMTV shows)

Late in the game, but to people saying Sky In You Heart is boring : I held an entire conversation with a person who knows absolutely nothing about the BL world but everything about stones and how you charge them with positive energy under the moonlight, so. You might want to rethink the boredom. At least this show gave us something.

Unlike TC, which got the top place it oh-so-much deserved.

Heh, I don't know, I don’t think the boring accusations are off-base tbh. Let's just say: if this had been a tournament about the most boring GMMTV BL series, SIYH would have probably left every other contestant in the dust but in this case, the Tonhon Chonlatee win is fully deserved. I will say, I did have a moment of pause when voting in the Ultimate Final, though, so I kinda get where everybody's coming from. Sky in Your Heart's boringness and Tonhon Chonlatee's overall badness are not mutually exclusive 😂

In conclusion, l'm personally very satisfied with the result and the winner.

Regarding the Our Skyy2 theories today was Aprils Fool and a lot of account faked things like translations and turned themselves to look like actors twitter account, there were also a fake Our Skyy2 account! so maybe some of the stuff circulating since yesterday is fake?🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 either way I have to say that if MSP has a swapped lifes as their main plot... I am not amused😒 tho this is the only one that seems to have a somewhat of a supernatural theme even tho they had VV tho maybe the supernatural theme is gonna come back in VV? we shall see tho I am now kinda scared...

The Twitter theories on Our Skyy2 are getting out of hand lol!

I get that everybody is excited about it but I really don't want any crossover! I am sorry but keep each episode dedicated to each show I just want to see my silly little couples be cute and sweet and NO BODYSWAPS I am OVER them 2 last year was already too many!

I saw some people say that based on how the couple where positioned in the poster the one diagona to them is the one they have a crossover with? and they where probably joking I hope cuz NO!

Other theories or more like hopes are that they will not do certain things because they want to wait for season2 like: The Eclipse not using the second novel and going for original content(the author said he was non involved in the script and production of Our Skyy2 and that it does not involve any storyline from the new book), or the MSP boys still being highschoolers because they will be uni students in s2 tho I think this is just them coping with the end of a show they like(me with Eclipse lol)

The only theory I like are the ones over who proposes to whom lol

Either way the episodes are pretty much done so we can only wait and at this point it could pretty much come a lot sooner! I just hope they air it 2 eps per week like MLC or Midnight Museum cuz 16 weeks of this is too much! we already had SIMM and SIYH that lasted 18 WEEKS! between the main series and thw special episodes and that is too much especially for a compilation of special episodes.

IF that life swap thing is true, I have to ask... WHY?? Why would you do that? Msp is literally one of the easiest shows to do an Our Skyy episode on because they finished high school at the end of the series, meaning all they had to do was show them in college (like maybe the Chinzhilla guys all come back home for the break between semesters and they all meet up again) and them being cute and thriving. Why is this life swap thing necessary? Frankly, I don’t want shit like that in msp so these spoilers are doing the opposite of getting me excited. 😑

I don't really feel like talking about this anymore lol so all I'm gonna say is that I still hate body swaps so please spare us @ gmm 😩 and even if it's just a life swap, I don't want that either.

The only episode where I could tolerate something supernatural is Vice Versa because that would fit the show's original genre so if puen & talay end up swapping something - whatever it is - then so be it. I would be somewhat fine with that I guess lol. But the rest? nah.

All I want for this show is 8 cute little episodes full of fluff and carelessness because god knows all of these couples went through enough in their respective shows lmao. all of them have the foundation to give us something cute so,,,, is that too much to ask.

I’m getting on here to talk about a BL, which I haven’t done in a while.

Episode 3 of Sky in Your Heart came out today and boy do I have some things to say.

An obvious spoiler warning if you aren’t caught up yet!

I really just want to talk about the kiss because I’ve seen at least one other person talking about how lackluster it is and how it’s not even really kissing. I disagree. I look at more than lip movement.

The moments before the kiss included some really beautiful moments of skinship and eye contact, which I always think leads up to a really passionate kiss scene (again, not based on how much the lips are moving).

You can see in Prince’s eyes in that last screenshot that he wants something to happen.

It goes like this (just looking at Prince’s facial expressions):

Now onto the actual kiss…

I can’t just screenshot every single frame from the scene, but I captured these three moments which I think can help prove my point.

There’s not a whole lot of lip movement in this kiss and I think because some of us BL fans have watched some other series like Taiwanese BL’s, we expect bigger kisses and more intense chemistry, but what I personally love about Thai BL’s like this one is the subtle chemistry that leads up to a moment like this.

I do consider this kiss to be a passionate one for the sole reason that you can tell they both want it by looking at their eyes the entire time.

Also, let’s not forget that this is episode 3 and there’s still more to come. This couple only just started coming together, so we can’t expect a full on makeout sesh right off the bat (although I don’t entirely expect one at all). I also don’t think ANY series needs a huge makeout session to make it great. I think SIYH is on the right track.

I’m just surprised it happened so quick since Prince seemed kind of oblivious to certain feelings. However, I’m not at all disappointed because I feel like they compliment each other well and have very similar personalities. Insanely similar, actually. I think they challenge each other well and have some really good back and forth banter.

ALSO!! Forgot to mention that the music in the scene really enhances the moment beautifully!

I wanna give my 2 cents for the GMMTV 2023 trailer lineup, going in the order they where presented in the live event and with no BL/GL, Lakorn division all together baby

So let's start:

Enigma: I am sucker for cursed schools/supernatural shows, not a big horror fan tho so if the show is able to balance the horror theme I'll be able to enjoy it, as for cast I really like Prim tho with Win I still have some reserves but considering that he is playing a completely different character here I am more open to him, tho I have to add if he is actually a teacher it means he is a lot older than Fa so if there is a romance I won't like it please no teacher/student relationship

A Boss and a Babe: the title is trash, the show semes the basic office drama with the e-sports and youtuber spinn that does not speak much with me, Force and Book have good chemistry but not very exited for this one, tho I hope this is better than Enchante sorry but that show is not great

Find Yourself: I like "noona romances" where the woman is older it's nice when they show that older women can attract younger man, tho romance based lakorn usually bore me, we have Earth and Podd here wich is a plus but I will have to see the show to be able to judje it, I already had a trailer appear good to have the show be not so much

Double Savage: After Not Me series that have crime as a plot spark my interest, and tho I basically understood nothing of the conflict other than a girl was involved, I liked Ohm's and Perth's performance in it, tho Foei being part of it after SH4 let's say he is not on my faves list to say the least

Hidden Agenda: classic university set BL with a plot that seems the mix of 2gether and SIYH(hope it is better cuz this show was not it) tho it intrigues me more than the previous 2, I onestly like Joong and Dunk I think they have potential and I also really like the rest of the cast so I will toon in for this one

23.5:...THIS!!! first GMMTV GL with Milk and Love! I am so exited for this, it also looks so genuenly cute and sweet and they look adorable, tho I would have loved to have another 2 girls as a 2nd couple Gemini and Fourth are indid cute, one of the series I am most exited about

The one with the Thai name: ok onestly this look like a bore fest, also Neo as second lead sindrome?NO😭... tho I will try it cuz this who I am, I have to watch at least the first 3 episodes to make an opinion It could surprise me

Cooking Crush: another one I am EXITED for, first of all OffGun wich is a surprise for real, Neo in general BUT specifically Neo and Gun in a show together, it's a show about cooking and I really enjoy this type of stories, also happy to see Neo and Mark in a very differnt setting compared to OF and as a side couple I am genuinly exited for them and this show

Wednesday Club: ok this is messy, and I don't really understand the plot, all I get is that they are all middle children that started hanging out after 2 almost got arrested, they are supposed friends, and they have rules for theire friendship, I like it tho, I usually really like choral shows from GMMTV, some of theire best lakorns to me are the ones with a lot of protagonists, like 55:15 or P.S. I Hate You, also I really like almost all of the actors in this

Last Twilight: Ok this I'm exited for, I like stories that talk about disabilities, also it is directed by P'Aof wich we know is a verh talented director, also I like Jimmy and Sea they have a sort of confort that fit this typo of stories, I feel like I am really gonna like this differntly to Vice Versa wich disappointed me, also Mark is here!

Loneliness Society: this look estetically good but it feels kinda like your classic romance lakorn, I know it's a remake i have not watched the original one, still like the other ones I will try and watch at least the first 3 episodes when it airs

Only Friends: Ok I literally rewatched the trailer like 20, if not more, times the trailer and saying that I am obsessed is reductive, this is the highlight of 2023 for me and I trust P'Jojo to make a good show, and also all the boys already outdid themselves in just the trailer and First Khaotung and Neo are some of my favourite and this I think is the right project to show Force Book and Marks abilities

Faceless Love: I have the confirmation that straight romances don't really spark my interest😅 seriusly this seems really boring to me sorry but all the het romances does, cuz it always the same story basically, it is only spyced up in the havier dramas wich I like... same 3 episode rule

Dangerous Romance: ok I like this, it has very cool tropes like rich×poor, enemies to lovers, class conflict drama, the whole situation with the brother, the story is cool and has the right amount of angst, the acting is very good by the trailer(expected from this 2) I am still a bit pissed at both of them, Perth more considering the LBC incident, but I wanna give this show a try cuz the plot is what I am interested about, also this 2 seems to have good chemistry, also my boys Pawin an Papang and my girl View are here so it's a plus

Jungle: Oh for fuck sake why is there no english subtitles!!! and I don't speak any of the subs languages!!! Ok so they are all playboys and all know each other? Mix is a bartender and a hunter? I have no idea what the plot is only that it's a big messy one... until we get subtitles I will just go by visuals and they look amazing, also Mix and Nanon in the same show!!! also Pat my Wife!

Cherry Magic 30: we have no trailer and considering that I still have to watch the og I will refrain from expressing any opinion NEXT!

Midnight Museum: Oh this is intriguing! a victorian inspired supernatural/horror set in a cursed? museum with maybe unded creatures it is speaking to my supernatural/fantasy/heart with GUN? and Ploy and Namtam? like sign me up!

Our Skyy 2: special episodes of some of our favourite couples from BL? YES PLEASE! I am exited for AkkAye, PatPran, PhupaTian the most, depending on NLMG I will see about PondPhuwin(happy they didn't chose FUTS) the others I will watch but are less interesting to me

Beauty Newbie: Not the webtoon collaboration😅 that made me laugh not donna lie it was so unexpected, and I even know it was based on a webtoon! still this is really similar to True Beauty, also Win playing Win again... this stories based on makeup, surgery beauty that try to give a lesson on "real beauty" with only pretty actors are not my thing I will probably not watch this, wich saddens me cuz I really like Fha and this is her only project

the last one is the Bright movie but since we will probably never see it I'll skip it

Sky in Your Heart ep. 3 mini-review ✐∗ ˖࣪ ༻

Rating ~ 8 - Outside of the ending, the rest of the series was just okay. The script didn't work so well for me in this episode.

Spotlight Trope of the week ~ ˖ ࣪ 𖥔 Kissy Kissy (ft. Fah and Prince)˖ ࣪ 𖥔

Spotlight actor of the week ~ ˖ ࣪ 𖥔 Mark (Prince) - He's doing a bit better in the emotions department. I could really see it at the end when he saw how hurt Fah was. Still more to go with him, but I'm seeing the improvement˖ ࣪ 𖥔

Review:

˖ ࣪ 𖥔Likes˖ ࣪ 𖥔

The kiss obviously. I already wrote a whole paragraph on another post talking about how gentle and delicate it was, so I won't waste time talking about it here. But it was a 10/10 kiss for me. The emotions of it all played a big part in my love for it.

The parallel before the kiss was top-notch. Prince wanted to make Fah feel better, and that rewarded him.

We got to see TopTap this episode!!! He was clumsy and cute. I don't know if he and Mike will conjure up a romance story here or not, but I won't hold my breath on it.

Everyone's acting felt really authentic in this. I felt it in other episodes too, but this one really shined through.

˖ ࣪ 𖥔Dislikes˖ ࣪ 𖥔

The script didn't do it for me today. some things were said and I was like "huh?"

For one, Fah's ex is so naive that it scares me. When asked why she married the dude she hated in high school, her response is "because he can't live without me, and you can." ????????? Girl what?????? The writers could've come up with a better story than that. How about her husband was her true love and everything that made her even happier?????

So far in the series, they have made Yaya a complete annoyance with following Fah around and having no brain to think for herself. Now in this episode, they want us to care that she's getting into an arranged marriage?? Bad? Yes, Do I care to go through 3/4 of the episode talking about it? No. I was so bored with this episode because you simply cannot put a character that is written to be annoying and put them in my face and be like, "here, care for this character you don't care about."

I want more Mike and Arm. I know they aren't the focal point, but they're so funny and hilarious that I need more of them.

The next episode shows us Prince passing out AGAIN. What is it with GMMTV and having their "uke's" passing out at least two times in a rural village setting?

Concluding thoughts ~ Next episode seems like it'll be a drag. I hope they don't skip over the kiss and just never talk about it or acknowledge that it happened.

Sky In Your Heart ep 2 mini review ✐∗ ˖࣪ ༻

Rating ~ 8 - enjoyable. A little slow in some parts, but overall, it was a decent episode.

Spotlight Trope of the Week ~ ˖ ࣪ 𖥔 Let me check your heart *goes under his shirt and holds an intense gaze*˖ ࣪ 𖥔

Spotlight Actor of the Week ~ ˖ ࣪ 𖥔 Villiage Guy (the drunk guy whose wife died) - this was just a very minor role this actor played, but on top of being hilarious when we're first introduced to him, he's also able to make my sympathies to him and his story. And I loved it.

Review:

˖ ࣪ 𖥔 Likes ˖ ࣪ 𖥔

the drunk man's story and how it correlates to the doctor being there and how he's going to help the village heal and grow.

The students were an absolute treasure in this episode. They're so precious.

MIKE.

ARM.

Them "stalking" Prince was kind of cute. Also, watching Mesa fall for Prince, and Fah trying so hard to deny his feelings while simultaneously drooling over Prince is my everything.

the tension between Prince and Fah is ASTOUNDING.

The villagers all altogether and dancing and partying. It felt very homey.

THE TEASER FOR NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE. AHAHAHAHAHA.

˖ ࣪ 𖥔Dislikes˖ ࣪ 𖥔

I didn't really "dislike" the pig killing story, but it was severely uncomfortable, especially seeing the blood and everything. TW WARNING for anyone queasy and uncomfortable with that.

They've introduced Prince trying to hide his fortune, but, for whatever reason he's doing so, I'm almost positive it will be very dumb and unnecessary.

Mark's acting is still "eh" in some parts.

WHERE IS TOPTAP AND AUN I'M READY FOR THEM NOW QUIT PLAYING.

Concluding thoughts ~ I'm surprised we're potentially getting a kiss next episode, but they've already built up incredible tension and connection that I'm here for it! Now, I just need to wait on my other two sons to show up, and this will be perfection! until next week!

I'm gonna be honest, when your leads have very little chemistry and the whole show has felt like a build up to nothing... starting the last episode with a bunch of flashbacks to that nothing is probably not the way to do.

Watch Fah fumble and be an ass to Prince but condensed and supposedly cute is not actually convincing me they should get together.

Fah's had a working phone this entire time and called his brother repeatedly, why can't he call anyone now? Why does he suddenly need the walkie-talkie? If his cellphone works, he can call a hospital in Chiang Mai, they definitely have phones.
