“oh no,” she yelled out as her spider pin fell off her shirt and began to roll away. helaena felt like a fool for accidentally kicking it even further away when she approached. the frustration was visible on her face. a sigh was let out when she saw it stopped near someone’s face. however, she felt awkward when even thinking of leaning down so she just looked at the other person instead. “excuse me, do you mind not moving for a moment so i can pick up something by your feet? my pin fell and landed by you.”

“i don’t suppose you have anything fun to pour in here?” huaisang couldn’t help but ask after looking at the cup. it wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate a warm drink, but it felt a little childish without even a little bit of alcohol. “is this supposed to be some sort of check in sect leader jiang? this have gotten rather ugly lately.” whether he took that as reference to the recent halloween disaster or some of the less favorable faces that had shown up in washington, nie huaisang would leave that up to jiang cheng, never wanting to directly provoke someone himself.
