basic stuff

-each agency is a clan, not each unit. 14-15 clans would be silly and then we would have some clans with 5 cats and some with 2.

-starpro -> lightclan. i couldn’t call them “starclan” for obvious reasons. light is somewhat synonymous with star, so i’m going with that.

-cospro -> nightclan. i don’t think the cats in warriors know the word “cosmic”, but cosmic implies cosmos implies night sky, so we’re going with night

-rhyth lin -> rippleclan. ripple is sort of a synonym to rhythm….? this one was hard

-new di -> fortuneclan. this one is a stretch but neither “new” or “dimension” have synonyms that really fit a clan name. fortune is something that relates to multiple characters in new di though

-starclan still sort of exists, but the cats do not believe in them the way they do in warriors. they are more of a nursery tale than anything, and select cats (ex: tatsumi) believe in them, but it is not written into their code. medicine cats can still interpret signs, but they do not necessarily think of them as coming from starclan.

-medicine cat forbidden romance is not a thing here

-intermingling of clans is ok and common

-there’s like. other cats in their clans besides just the enstars cast i assume

-tsukasa -> scarletstar (scarletblossom) . he is the leader of fortuneclan because he is one of the new di reps for the summits. both scarlet and blossom were chosen bc of his last name (scarlet is a red color… kinda similar to cherry…. and blossom for the cherry blossom).

-leo -> lionheart. ok this one is kind of cheating because lionheart is already an existing warrior, but…come on….

-izumi -> silverspring. sora describes his color as silver, and spring is in his first name

-ritsu -> frostmoon. his first name means cold moon according to the wiki so i just rehashed it

-naru -> goldenroar. since she doesn’t like her first name i didn’t want to use “storm”, and her last name can be read as “thunder” but that’s a little too close to storm? so golden for her hair and roar for her last name

switch

-natsume -> sageeye. a sage is similar to a wizard, and eye is in his first name . also the “dovesong” mentioned is wataru :)

-tsumugi -> bluewing. he is a bluebird. warrior cats probably wouldn’t straight up call a cat “bluebird” so i put wing there instead. deputy cause he’s the vp

-sora -> skyspring . sora means sky. spring is in his last name. i could have used “stream” instead to differentiate him from sena but i think spring is cuter

Kerry originally wasn't too enthusiastic about accompanying Vince to pride... Solely because he feared the medias would follow them around and overshadow the day too much for them to be able to enjoy it. Knowing, that it was important to Vince. He insisted though that even if the journalists would stalk them all day, he'd still rather have gone with Kerry than without him. In the end, Kerry was glad he obliged, and they're looking forward to the next year and many more happy memories to make xD

Thanks for following along this little series, I put a ton of work into it but really really enjoyed seeing it all come together in the end :D I've never been to Pride irl, but with these two it felt a little bit like I'd been given the chance to go after all, so this turned out to be a very emotional and personal project really.

I hope you all also had fun following along, and a big thank you for all the nice words left in the tags!! I'm so happy I could touch some of you with my posts and these two gonks.

YEA LETS GO EX-FRAMING DEPARTMENT they never even got around to teaching me production it was all wrapping and taking orders :/ Idk how it is at other shops but we only had 3 people working the whole frame shop. One person did ALL the frame assembly and us other two handled everything else. Was absolutely not worth $11/hr. man fuck retail. FUCK Design Hub too, if I may

#id come in for my like 4 hour shift and would have to run + close shop which included wrapping #wrapping storing calling for all orders done plus get all yhe frames lined plus unpack and clean up all the new frames coming in all by #all by the end of the night PLUS frame shop had to clean the bathrooms every night #plus actually running the front desk and taking orders and sometimes ppl would take hours picking matts that would cut into the time i had #to have everything else finished PLUS if i for some reason had everything done on time theyd make me run sales floor too #it was insane all the stuff they had me learn for such shit pay like. and #never work michales but never do it around the holidays more important #you will never escape the glitter #all that and my framing manager never got around to teaching me how to assemble a frame. #at least it was nice to hide in the frame shop so i wasnt talking to customers 24/7 but still #customers treat you so horribly like i was sweeping once and this lady comes up to me like saying the bathroom was disgusting right #and i get it. it was always disgusting. but we did clean it every night. anyway its hard when you cant just tell people that 1. #1 we clean them every night so if theres a huge mess in it most likely it was another shopper who pissed on the floor just cuz. #and 2 they only give us a mop and some pine sol to clean the whole 2 bathrooms every night. dont blame me blame michals lol #everything else was just so stupid #i wanna know how many framing department ppl everyone else had because we had 2 part time and 1 full time and i was only there a few months

honestly I REALLY love this spiral earring I made for my Caduceus cosplay; I like to just wear it around, the only reason I don't more often is that it's held together with magnets and I'm afraid I'll lose it

third might beeee the cloak of the manta ray? I drafted this pattern completely from scratch AND designed the gold accents myself where you can't see them in the DMG illustration AND the whole outer layer is waterproofed so it sheds water, I'm really proud of it

So like in the show he basically asks her to marry him and she says yes, and they're both like "Promise? Promise!" but she keeps fucking conveniently remembering and forgetting "the promise to mother" like I know he's intoxicating af and it's hard to hold a thought around this man (I also have a very hard time holding a thought looking at him), but pick a goddamn side and have a backbone about it ffs!! Like you can't waffle on people like this girl!! You literally sat here and engaged yourself to this man and then you go off and do THAT???

I would like to note that so far in the (very drastically different) novel, there is no such promise ever made, and she fucks off to the steppe because she's mad at Ning Yi thinking the whole entire time he had just been cozying up as part of a plot to kill her so leaving bought her time, space, and a power base to fight back and he just eats the misunderstanding like "????? fine, come and kill me when you're ready, at least I'll get to see you again, I am ok with this." which makes a bit more sense tbh.

In a loooot a lot of ways, the tv show is about 1000x more polished than the book, but at least the book has fewer slaps in the face like this. They become a bit more obvious on rewatch, especially after pawing through the novel. (I hope the translator finishes it someday!! They picked it up again this past may after two years of nothing so here's hoping!)

#the rise of phoenixes #spoilers #i needed to talk about some stuff ok #tbh I do like the ning yi of the tv show a LOT more- god bless chen kun #but the book ning yi also has his good points like accepting zhiwei's major choices #in the show it is absolutely not his fault that her mom and brother die- no question bc he tried damn hard to do everything he could #in the book he's got a bit more of the blame because he loses control of his subordinates after showing too much favor to zhiwei #they think he's blinded by her charm and talent and unable to make sound decisions so they act independently without telling him and fuck u #and he accepts that because he lost control of his people that that puts some of the blame on him because he WAS investigating feng hao #just not at zhiwei's expense which is what she thinks has happened- that wasn't the game at all #but he still takes the L with a little bit of dignity and it makes sense for her to get her space and leave #whereas in the show she highkey comes off as a pissbaby after this man wins a whole war on speedrun just to save her #only for her to conveniently remember mommy's promise again and break her engagement and fuck off to the steppe #which leaves him rightly a fucking mess and that was not a good look for her #i really really hope the translator picks the book back up and finishes it #i would love to see how this pans out there as the whole picture even though I know it has a happy ending already #but still!!

idk i think it's so funny I went down a survival horror game rabbit hole when a) I'm too freaking anxious for horror games I will make myself cry, b) it was all PS2 stuff which is extra funny bc I've never even played on someone else's playstation let alone had one, i was always a wii kid lol. but now my brain is like ah yes. time to consume everything I can about games I can't even play and that are stupid expensive/hard to get now

currently reading: 😶 even harder than videos bc i absolutely cannot multitask while reading. recently finished frankenstein (which i started literally almost 3 years prior (its not that long or difficult i jst struggle to justify spending time on things that i dont consider “work” in my brain) (also it was p good but you could literally cut out the second part and the story would benefit imo it jst rly slogs down the pace and axes any tension for a lot of details that could be conveyed much quicker if they were explained in less detail)) and the communist manifesto (didnt take nearly as long bc its like pamphlet length gbdkjd) edit everyone go read izroulia actually a new series came out today&i haven't been able to read it yet but its been keeping me going fr i love how earnest it is in being itself its such a good piece of safe media for me if that makes sense

current obsession: ughhhhhhhhh ive been in between obsessions for a lil bit i feel like. idk this is sth i struggle w/ bc the last thing i felt fully like Enveloped in was the adventure zone (orig. arc) which ended. 5 years ago. lemon demon&lemonville came shortly after but it was hard to feel it was on the same scale bc it was actively in creation as i was there and associated #Drama also lessened its grip faster than it would’ve had it been like an existing show or sth. plus theres less ppl obvs. had a brief good omens phase but it burned out pretty quick bc i had so thoroughly dissected it very quickly. &since then ive kind of jst been cycling between existing interests (monster high/fashion dolls in general, mercreatures, creepypasta/slenderman/horror in general) plus the occasional mcr blast but it doesnt quite Grip the same bc there arent like Characters i can rotate. the best ive gotten is obsessing over my own ocverses but its not the same.... idk i rly rly Want to feel the Passion that fandom brings but none of the media thats blown up interests me enough to consider consuming the media or i take a peak&dont like it cause im picky...idk my fundamental problem is that im picky and hard to please bc i can deconstruct things so easily to see its Bones and if a story is more surface level and straightforward and easy to understand its hard for me to keep my attention on it at the stage of my life im in. that being said aquamarine is my fave movie tho so. but then again i think ppl jst write it off cause its a chick flick. idk recommend me things but dont be surprised if its not my vibe ig

Also on the term of medical stuff (although a lot less drastic), I've been thinking about the sort of accomodations and treatments little Deya had to deal with throughout her life.

#myocs #when she was just born she needed a lot of physical therapy #her body was just really weak so she needed to train her muscles to eventually roll over or pick stuff up #zephyr also needed to be careful about avoiding her getting sick because her immune system was trash #she got pretty far with time though. she got to all her toddler milestones late but she did reach them which is the important part #and eventually she managed to play catch up by the time she was ready for kindergarten #as a child/teen though... I imagine she got held back a year or two in school #I mentioned before that she probably has dyslexia and/or dyspraxia (still haven't decided) which made school hard for her #and it frustrated her to no end because failing made her feel like she was stupid even though she was trying really hard #derek made sure to make a big celebration when she did manage to finish highschool though <3
