Hello! You can call me Winter, I like to Pokémon rp with my OC, Violet. But I also just ramble abt stuff as well. This blog doesn’t have a set thing I’m too stupid for that. There is no timeline, time is an illusion and also I am lazy soooo-

Violet is a Pokémon trainer that after journeying quite a few regions decided to settle down and live deep in the woods where no one would bother her.

She was born in Glitch City and assumes that is the reason that her shadow is all glitchy and pixelated.

She visits the main part of the unknown region she resides in from time to time, but mostly keeps to her self and uses a tumblr blog to substitute human interaction. She was in Sinnoh during the Space Time Incident and that is where she got Charlie. She is known to be carefree, reckless, and antisocial. Also she’s 6’8. Please let me know what the fuck this woman eats and how can I get some?

Summary:

Annie is bored just sitting in a room. Then, a blue eyed robot comes into the room, sparking her curiosity.

Empty. That’s how Annie would describe her room at Aperture Laboratories. Sure, there was furniture, such as a TV and a bed. However, she felt as if it was abandoned. She couldn’t see outside her locked room, but she just knew that there hadn't been anyone else in a while.

A few hours after she woke up, she was already bored as hell. The closet didn’t have any clothes. The TV was broken. As for the bed, it was so uncomfortable. What was the mattress stuffed with? Rocks?

Her day got a bit more interesting when a blue eyed robot entered the room. He turned towards her and his eye blinked.

“Hello, there! I’m Wheatley! I’ll be your tour guide to the testing chambers. There you’ll solve… err… tests. They won’t be that hard, I promise!”

Annie was more focused on his accent rather than his words.

“You’ve got such a cute, little accent.” She smiled.

He quickly looked away from her.

“What do you mean by accent? I speak perfectly fine. You’re the one that sounds odd.”

Annie put her hands up.

“Wait, wait. I didn’t mean anything by it. I think it’s pretty attractive.”

Placing her hands to her mouth, her heart beat faster. Oh god. Oh god. Why did she say that out loud?! Moron!

His blue optic got larger for a second, then went back to normal.

“Why, thank you. I am the best-looking and most intelligent one here.”

Annie giggled.

Why was she getting flirty with a robot? Well, maybe she didn’t have human interaction in a long while. She needed some kind of excitement in her life.

“Hold on tight! I’ll move you to the chambers!”

Before Annie knew it, the ball disappeared into the ceiling and the room shook around her. Although he talked through the wall, she missed seeing him. Her precious ball.

Heh, here's a bunch of OCs that I made a long time ago. This story sets on college of magick.

August Wheatley (He/They)- the bubbly, chubby student who loves to relax. He gives off a calming and comforting aura. They're like the therapist of the group. No one knows how he manages to be extremely calm under pressure, especially with exams week.

Ezra Maxwell (He/Him) - the tired and serious student who wants nothing more than to finish his damn chaotic college so that he could be a writer. He needs sleep but he needs his diploma more. Caution: Never interact with him while there's an exam week if you want to live.

Verity Lucast (She/Her)- Ezra's chaotic cousin. She's a messy student and leaves her things around disorganized like her mind. She tends to cracks some jokes and make bad habits while dying on the inside. Thank goodness her boyfriend, August, helps her break those bad habits.

Belvedere Valentine(She/He/They) - They're a student who knows and gives the best relationship advice. He's like a love and relationships expert. They tend to be observant and very empathetic, that's why they're famous around the school. She's loyal to her friends and willing to help them along.

Bella Wentworth (She/They) - She's a sweet halfling who loves gardening and knows all about plants. They like to keep things calm and organic. Though, they can be a bit.. too old fashioned. She's brave, reliable, mature, and hard-working, although headstrong about doing things on her own.

Callista Hervendorft (She/Her) - She's a peppy, sophisticated, appearance-conscious, and creative student. She's a talented fashion expert, and appreciates beauty. She's occasionally vain but she cares deeply for her friends.

Oliver Heath (He/Him) - He's a shy meek elf who wanted to learn more about medicine. He's very unsure of himself. He is incredibly cautious and often strongly considers a situation before jumping into it. He might not be too self-assured, but his friends know to rely on him in a pinch.

I finally watched the new OC and I have to say… I found it to be very cringy… the juvenile portrayal of hacking, the use of Jet & that other hacker dude, Kilbride, Wheatley helping the police. I found it all farfetched and just… cringe. Did you catch those feelings too or? I thought SVU was better (I know unpopular opinion) notes of positivity: Stabler, Bell, Angela A+ acting. I gotta be real my first thought upon seeing this ask was mad max "that's bait" and my second thought was this:

Now your ask was polite. You came in here trying to be respectful, I think, and probably did not anticipate inspiring this response. But svu has a serious representation problem at the moment and that needs to be understood.

When we're talking about not liking last week's SVU, we're talking about the plot that took up most of the first half, where it turns out the attack on the synagogue that was deliberately intended to mirror Kristallnacht turned out to be completely unrelated and orchestrated by a couple of Black kids - not the good Black kid who goes to church! Those bad heathen Black kids - who get thrown under the bus by McGrath, get their lives ruined, and then we're promptly told to forget about all that for the rushed and unsatisfying ending. In a story that centers on racism the chief's own racism is an afterthought. In a story about white supremacy one of the main conspirators is Hispanic? And the main guy the audience interacts with is Serbian. Not in our city, Murphy says, no it's all these people coming to NYC from other places, like NYC doesn't have its own racial tensions to grapple with. Coming on the heels of everything else they've done this season - tossing Kat and Garland in favor of Velasco and McGrath, and the absolutely abominable trap music episode - this is egregious. Then you add in the just general bad writing stuff - the retconning of Murphy and Rollins's arrangement, the random ending, that fucking Merry Christmas line which if left unanswered would have felt right, heavy with meaning and sorrow, but bc of Liv's little you too feels incredibly awkward, all of Liv's friends just standing around looking at her, not even taking a step towards her, even after she's admitted she's not ok, like. Eesh. And you wanna talk about cringe? What about that line about those kids becoming a meme, or McGrath's "I don't have that" while staring dumbfounded at his phone?

But yeah oc has some unrealistic hacking 🤷🏼‍♀️

You know the first half of oc I did find a little slow. I wasn't paying attention. But they drew me back in, and by the end I was hyped and ready for more and that is. Not how svu made me feel. OC is setting up another arc and it takes time to get the pieces into place and I'm ok with some hand wavy technobabble. I watched Stargate for goodness sake. That was nothing lmao

Invader Zim

- Bitter End by Lael Adair: Dark and tragic with somewhat of a twist ending. One-shot.

- Going On by Dust Traveller: Dib, the last remaining human after the Irkens have destroyed Earth, is exiled to planet Dirt where he must live out the rest of his days. The story is him just... trying to survive through the years. And meeting an Irken OC who he... kind of falls in love with? Kind of. It doesn’t go beyond him considering the possibility and then rejecting it. Dead fic, unfortunately, but still very good.

- The Operator by Donnistar: Dib investigates a monster called the “Slenderman,” but everything is NOT as it seems. A dark fic. Complete.

- Possessed by HeCallsMeHisChild: Another dark IZ fic! Zim is captured by humans; Dib is captured by Irkens. It’s... not happy. Complete.

- Displaced by Plastic Emotion: Invader Tenn must choose between going back to the Irken Empire to face a trial that would end in her death, or trick Zim into giving her refuge. Dead fic, probably.

Portal

- Blue Sky by wafflestories: Yeah, this one... People in the Portal fandom have some pretty strong reactions to it whether positive or negative, but I genuinely like it, especially the whole beginning part before Wheatley turns human (er, well, “android”). Complete.

- Cake and Lies by MVTK42: Another “Wheatley is human” fic, but not in the way you’d expect. Plot twists and turns everywhere. Warning for violence in this one. Complete.

- The Rodent and the Robot by BabyCharmander: Caroline flees before being deleted and takes up residence in a core, at which point she teams up with Doug Rattmann to take down GLaDOS once and for all. Complete.

- Target Acquired by renegademechanic: A slight AU where Chell saved Wheatley from being launched into space; three years later, they have to learn to work together again for one last attempt to escape Aperture for good. Dead fic...?

- Redemption by Silverstreams: A prequel seeking to tie together the events of Portal, the Lab Rat comic, and Portal 2 into one cohesive timeline. In progress.

- Reversal by Obvious Octopus: Okay to be perfectly honest I haven’t read this one in years but I just remember it being pretty hilarious. Instead of Wheatley ending up in the chassis, who should take over the facility but... Chell? Complete.

- A Little Test and A Few Repairs (plus the three follow-up one-shots) by The Fanfiction Core: A look at what it might really take to redeem Wheatley. A Little Test is dark but the rest are a lot lighter. Complete.

Psychonauts

- Return to Thorney Towers by The Great Allie: Someone is going after the former residents of Thorney Towers. All of them. Dead fic, probably, but still good.

- Twisted Hallways by Digitaldreamer: Follows Raz as he climbs up through the asylum. One-shot.

- Cursum Perficio by Digitaldreamer: I’ve got very mixed feelings about this one, but it was a good attempt at something of a Psychonauts epic. The best part of the fic is the beginning, chapters 1-8. Dead fic, but with a summary of the final events at the end of the last chapter.

- Curses! by Threepwillow: Raz seeks to undo the curse put on his family once and for all. Complete.

- Medium by Shadow Wasserson. The campers have a lesson in a new psychic power. Rendered non-canon now, but that doesn’t make it any less creepy. One-shot.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

- Wake the Storm by bedlamsbard: CW!Anakin wakes up on a Star Destroyer in the midst of the Original Trilogy due to time travel shenanigans. Chaos ensues. The story has a sequel which I never finished reading for various reasons, but this one is really good. Complete.

- Fallen Legends by GreySilhouette: Major spoilers for Clone Wars in this one!! Takes place at the very end of season five. Read the summary to find out more because if I say anything I’ll just spoil the actual series. Complete.

- Time To Go by light_mantled_albatross: Has the exact same premise as the one above. But as good as that one is, I honestly like this one even better. The writing is wonderful and it feels more plausible. In progress (hopefully!)

Other

- Flower Is Not a Good Life Coach by unrestedjade: If you like Undertale you’ve probably already read this one. It’s good but it’s... uh, pretty dark. Complete.

Crossover

- Wild Cards by genalovestoons. A crossover between Psychonauts, Puzzle Agent, Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Brutal Legend, and Sam and Max, where apparently everyone is psychic. Only one chapter so far, but it’s a good chapter. In progress.

- Timelords and Terror by Hephestus: Er, it’s a Doctor Who/MLP crossover, and is better than it probably sounds? Eh, I liked it. The Tenth Doctor helps Twilight and friends battle some aliens that showed up in an episode from season three of DW, but I won’t say which one. Oh and apparently they’re named for (and based on) some villains from the original MLP series or something... Complete.

- That Which Holds The Image by RubbishRobots: Another weird-sounding crossover, it’s Doctor Who/Harry Potter, but it’s done really well. From the title alone, do I even need to say what it’s about? Complete.

- Interlopers, Invaders, Investigators and Doom by Diloph: An Invader Zim/Doctor Who crossover that I love to DEATH. The Tenth Doctor helps Dib and Gaz (and, albeit reluctantly, Zim too) with some trouble going on in their town. Seriously every moment where the Doctor and Zim interact is just golden. In progress (hopefully!).

(kinda long) some thoughts on the svu/oc finale episodes:

i have to say it didn't really feel like a finale for either show? at least svu's case closes up but it's kind of unfortunate if they're already setting up garland to leave the show (writers setting up garland possibly being sick, taking a medical leave, and the upper brass want to push garland out after he took a stand on police brutality) - i admit to finding his character rather boring, but i feel like they barely gave garland a chance to become an interesting, fleshed out character when there's very little development of his personal life or anything else compared to the rest of the squad. dodds worked in comparison because he had a multi season arc and having his son on the squad helped in developing his character by proxy when we'd hear a lot from dodds's son. he frequently interacted with the rest of the squad too, not just olivia. they haven't given garland much to work with in comparison.

i can't tell what i'm feeling about the svu (not) wedding scene in so far as shipping because rollisi got a bigger bone here than eo, but congrats to the rollisi shippers lol :') hilariously i thought rollisi was much better developed than eo this season. the gradual development of their relationship this season was pretty well handled and didn't feel abrupt or anything when they kissed during the wedding. the eo scene was very very short but i did like that olivia was a lot more casual and comfortable with elliot compared to the start of the season.

on the oc side, it reaaaallly did not feel like a finale. last week's episode felt more like the finale, and there's a bit of a weird disconnect from this week and last week's episodes. i don't know if it's because of the whole covid screwing up filming schedule thing (i think they wrapped up final filming literally 2 days before the episode aired, that's how tight the schedule was), since it's clear they also cut a lot of content that they talked/showed previously (re: simon's death tie-in, the eo diner scene, them saying the wheatley saga would finish up in one season, etc.) but it didn't really feel like an 'ending' and felt more like a mid season episode ramping up to the mysteries and action. they left too many open threads for it to feel like a finale to the first season of the show.

i also don't really know how believable it is that angela is this in "love" with elliot after what seems to be about... 3-4 weeks in-show time? and i feel like making her infatuation? of sorts with elliot her sudden motivation for wanting to take down richard after all the mystery and questions they've built around weakens her character considerably. they introduced a lot of motives for her character, especially regarding revenge for rafiq and protecting her other children from richard, but then never followed through on these when it would have made more sense and would have been stronger reasoning versus this weird "she's doing it for elliot" reasoning the show seems to be rapidly veering towards. i was more on board with the angela/elliot stuff when i thought she was manipulating him in order to protect herself and her goals rather than this. (but i really like morally grey female characters who do questionable things for selfish reasons, don't @ me lol)

(side note: it was however very cute when bell called olivia 'liv')

ship wise oc was better for eo, but i feel like in general in both finales there was a real big lack of communication between them. i've been waiting for them to have a proper conversation but it hasn't really happened yet. they haven't talked enough, especially in regards to the letter or elliot's sudden outburst-confession in the middle of his intervention. i wish they had interacted more significantly or at least spoken about each other to other characters. olivia had a hint of it in svu where she said she would talk about elliot in therapy but we never got any scenes of that. maybe it's because they want to have it spread out between seasons since svu's still got two whole seasons to go and oc's been renewed for a another so they've got to drag it out, but it doesn't feel great in terms of what we got in the finale eps.

all in all, i'm pretty hungry for more episodes with all the unanswered questions. hopefully the shows'll be back when covid is less of a problem.

(Bensler Take) on Law and Order Finales

SVU

Are you kidding me? Just, are you kidding me? The amount of hype and buildup to this finale was way out of proportion with what they actually delivered. Was is cute that Elliot put his jacket on Olivia? Of course. Was it comforting to hear that Elliot is getting an apartment in the city and putting down new roots? Definitely. Was it heartwarming to see Elliot and Olivia lovingly look on as partners become more than a workplace connection? Obviously. Now I know that everyone is saying that it would be too soon for them to kiss or show any stronger signs pointing to a romantic relationship, and I won’t argue with that. My main issue is how superficial it was between them at the cancelled wedding. These two have SO MUCH to discuss given the events since Elliot’s return and NOTHING was dealt with. Nothing at all. Not the letter, not him leaving ten years ago, not the fact that Wheatley confessing his knowledge of Olivia’s existence, not the fact that Elliot said he loved her (or everyone, honestly who knows at this point). We got, “They were each other’s first partners. To partners”. Literally slit my throat and run me over with your car. I just think it had potential to really clear things up between them. Discuss how much they’ve been through the past few weeks so that the next season could portray them actually moving forward with the loose ends tied up to a certain degree.

Altogether, Olivia was in this episode a total of maybe 4 minutes. Now, I understand she’s a guest star and not the point of the show, but these short random appearances just don’t even make sense at this point. The interaction between Olivia and Wheatley was cheap. Wheatley says something that makes perfect sense to us, but to Olivia she must be confused as hell. Like how does he know her name? What is he talking about? But Olivia just stands there with no expression on her face. Okay, cool. The fact that she calls him “El” for the first time when she’s just trying to get his attention to point out the fact that some detective (who has had 3 total minutes of airtime in the whole season) is apparently dirty? What a wasted opportunity.
