Did you ever play Storyscape?
No, but seriously, I miss her. Damn you, Disney!
I managed to play through most of the stories at least once. Only got through the first few chapters of Titanic and the X-Files so I don't have any full opinions of those. I do remember pissing off Mulder cause I accidentally hurt Scully though. My bad. Life 2.0 was really good but Mishel was woefully underused. Now I'll never be able to know what the fuck was going on in Eternal City. I played Edge of Extinction the most because of my beloved, Joseph Mboya. The app needed more diversity for the MC's though. Don't go through the trouble of giving me all this immersive storytelling if my ass can only be Black in 2 outta 6 stories. Still, what a waste.

=ahem= mishel X MC, Abigail X MC, Jaime X MC
AHEM AHEM 😁
Life 2.0 has to be my favourite book in the Storyscape app, and I've lost count of how often I've played it. I actually wound up creating three MCs for Mishel, Abigail and Jaime each because I really liked all three.
Mishel x Shruti
A++++++
I've mentioned this before - but Shruti is the kind of girl who would probably joke around even in moments that feel awkward and uncomfortable - she's just more comfortable being viewed as "the funny girl" than being truly vulnerable in front of people. So I think being with Mishel, who thinks her own problem is that she feels too much, would pose as a pretty good challenge.
Mishel has a sparkling personality, is open and warm and welcoming and goes after what she wants...in some ways she reminds me of why I liked Shreya in TE from the get-go too. The only problem is we don't get to explore our bond/relationship with her beyond clothes and the bedroom. I want to see more. I want to know more about her and they'd better deliver in Season 2!
Abigail x Zadie
A++++++
(I kinda did two playthroughs with Abigail at some point, and somewhere along the line I wanted to see the gorgeous black MC with her. So originally the face for Zadie was the East Asian one, but I think I'm sticking with the Black MC).
I see Zadie as a little cautious and the kind of person who thinks a hundred times before taking a major step, but proactive enough to know when she should step in and raise a voice. While all my MCs are protective towards Abigail esp in light of what Curtis did, there's an extra edge to Zadie's protectiveness of her.
Abigail is perhaps the romance that has the least hurdles IMO? Like yes, when she begins having feelings for the MC she's a little confused and torn over whether she should proceed or not, but that final kissing scene at the park more than makes up for it. The resolution for this pairing is a little neater than the other two, and I can imagine that while Abigail and her girlfriend will face a different set of challenges in the next season, they have things a little more sorted out in this one (if you have the diamonds, that is).
Jaime x Laila
A
I'll be honest - I'm still trying to figure out my characterization for her, but I do personally feel like she bonds with him based on how intense and personally invested he is in the way POC are viewed in the NGO, and was a little blindsided by his not being able to see why it mattered that no woman was called to the lunch with Benji.
I honestly like the Jaime romance. There's a whole lot going on there, and I personally liked that Jaime initially denies the privileges he does have, but then tries - at his own pace - to be better and learn to accept where he benefits from the system and where WOC may not. That man is a mess...and personally for me, he's a pretty interesting mess.
I do wish they'd written the romance such that he and the MC romancing him got to talk about Chela (his ex) before she wound up seeing them at Dolores Park. I was a little blindsided by that on my first read. But I definitely did enjoy the story where the MC romanced him, like I did with Mishel and Abigail.
