just learned that David Jenkins’ first show, People of Earth, aired for two seasons and was greenlit for a third, and he scripted the entire third season before the network changed its mind and cancelled it. That is fucking maddening actually.

#bit of a personal rant in the tags here: #I went to school for creative writing and graduated last May #and I got that degree because I want to be a screenwriter #im not doing anything in that field rn because it’s SO hard to get into that industry even at an amateur level #but seeing people who are already in the industry like djenks who are also WAY more talented than me #getting constantly sidelined for the sake of corporate greed #it’s just so goddamn disheartening #it makes it hard to even want to *try* to break into that industry anymore #because like. what’s the point #if anything remotely envelope pushing or interesting or original is cancelled prematurely then what’s the fucking point! #anyway. gonna go check out this show I think #people of earth #david jenkins #save ofmd

watched the first episode of the new avatar, it was...... okay? it wasnt bad but it also wasnt what the series deserve imo :+( the pacing was a bit too fast and im also really sad about katara's performance and total lack of emotions but i keep hoping everything improves 😭😭

Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands [1996]

I love instruments and musicians

the local version of Hair i saw where berger was played by an older guy, like idk if that was an intentional casting choice but I imagine not, and it actually added such an interesting layer to see this 50 year old show which is still horribly relevant and have the most influential hippie be the only character who looks the age of the story itself. and you would never see that kind of choice made on the west end or anything

Ok the thing about the moral dilemma at the end of the last of us is that like you can like grow fungi from like pretty small samples? Like the emotional effect of playing through it was devastating in the moment but it makes no sense that Ellie would need to die. Like yeah it might take a little brain surgery but you can just cut off a little piece and grow it on a meat substrate.

I don't know. It's probably one of those shades of red I can't see....

#for the record #I'm not an expert in a lot of these things. I am just a talented amateur #that said #I have cultivated a basic level of expertise that lets me fake proficiency in a lot of things. #cooking in chemistry are extremely similar. there's not much difference between making soup and making soap.

In an alternate universe, I'm not a plastic artist but a music artist and I take part in musicals whatever composing or acting in them. I even am a good singer there. In my free time, I try to draw a bit and even if I'm not good at all I have a lot of fun.

In this one I have no idea about music at all because it's basically maths and I'm useless when it comes to numbers yet I have so much fun taking part in musicals, acting, singing and making props and costumes that if I were able to play an instrument beyond Twinkle twinkle little star it would have been my second artistic aspiration.

#I miss so much my musical theatre group #we were amateurs but we put a lot of effort and spirit #we compensated our scarce resources with real talent #not me I'm not good at all #but some of my partners were so good and talented and every rehearsal was so enjoyable #someday I will find again a group #may I dream I can be Glinda someday?
