All I want is to be able to talk to someone about my new pet baby tarantula for like five hours straight. Unfortunately, everyone keeps stopping me like five seconds in to tell me how much they wish she was dead so... 😔

Serotonia decided to let me see her toes peeking out the top of her cork/web tunnel tonight. I've had her for almost 2 months and this is the most I've seen of her since the first week 😅

T. violaceus
Same T different lights. One of the prettiest tarantulas in my opinion.

Tapinauchenius cupreus (Violet Tree Spider) After much confusion I’m pretty sure that this is T. cupreus. She was given to me and she had the common name. I was confused and thought she was T. violaceus but I realized that they share a similar common name. Tapinauchenius cupreus is commonly known as the Violet Tree Spider whereas the Tapinauchenius violaceus is commonly known as the Purple Tree Spider. Both look very similar except the T. violaceus is a deeper purple and the T. cupreus has more of a greenish coloration on the carapace and develops a lighter purple on the abdomen and legs. I have to research more on both species. 😕 #tarantula_haven #tarantula #tarantulas #tarantulasofig #tarantulasofinstagram #tarantulasoftheworld #tapinauchenius #tapinaucheniuscupreus https://www.instagram.com/p/CHB9QNmMY28/?igshid=1dubfewo84bi6

If anyone knows some trustworthy tarantula breeders I would really appreciate a recommendation. Currently looking for a Tapinauchenius Violaceus (female preferably) and while normally I’d just head to my local reptile expo, given the whole pandemic thing I don’t think that would be a good idea even if I could.

Hi! I’m really enjoying your blog! I was wondering if you would be able to do a few more tarantulas? Especially interested in Poecilotheria metallica, Cyriocosmus elegans, and the kind that my current baby is, Tapinauchenius violaceus, thank you :)
Sure thing, I'll push some tarantulas to the top of the queue! And congrats on your new baby!! :)
