Teddy Tedholm wins Dance Magazine’s June Video of the Month

Teddy Tedholm’s “Don’t Miss It” has been selected as Dance Magazine’s June Video of the Month. According to Dance Magazine, the piece, “simulates editing glitches to heighten musicality” alongside James Blake’s song of the same name.

What are some of your favorite SYTYCD auditions? I know he didn't make the show but Teddy Tedholm's audition ("Prague") really stuck with me, it's just so deeply upsetting in a way it seems like you'd appreciate. Also Billy Bell's "To Build a Home" (although he did parts of it in Vegas/on the show/DO YOU HAVE OTHER SOLOS BILLY?)

I actually didn’t remember that audition until you sent it to me, and now that’s one of my favorite auditions ever. Thanks for that. I actually can’t think of other ones, but there are plenty of Vegas solos that routinely blow my mind. Like Lauren Froderman…and Ricky…and Asaf’s dance for your life solo before he started freaking out.

18. “One of our favorite things we do is our biannual workshop series, taught by both diSis and professional choreographers. Recently, we invited Teddy Tedholm (Capezio A.C.E. Awards, SYTYCD) to campus, and it was an incredible lesson in creativity and thinking on our feet (literally, hehe). In the past, we’ve also hosted workshops by: Billy Bell, Luam, Scott Forsyth, Channing Cooke, and Thayne Jasperson!”
