have you checked out anything on myhouse.wad? Seems like something you’d be into
NOT YET...!! i keep hearing about it and thinking "aw goddammit this is absolutely something i'd be into." and then forgetting to play it. IT LOOKS INCREDIBLE THOUGH from the sparse bits i've seen... obviously house of leaves is one of my most beloved books & the idea of a doom wad inspired by it is inherently incredible. perhaps i shall go check it out now hmrrmmmm

I wanna rant about robots' music taste! Or at least their potential music taste. I wanna make a long-ass post about it! I see ppl hc fav genres or car crash sounds for Omega and-the-like, and they're all very correct in their headcanons and all BUT
They are not humans. They don't have human brains or biological bodies. Those are two very big factors on the "how" & "why" humans experience music the way we do. We, quite ironically, have music enjoyment evolutionarily hard-wired into our brains. Robots don't!!
HC:ing fav songs to these guys is fun and all, but y'all are overstepping the important part of overanalyzing robots' music enjoyment potential vaguely based on human musical behaviour + audio technical aspects!
Like; Different types of microphones and amps that e.g. potentially reduce the quality of the music they can process -> would they be able to find enjoyment in highly textured music? Would frequencies resonating with their metal chassis and components be a negative or a positive experience? They'd be able to enjoy louder and faster music than humans and hear higher frequencies. Their pattern recognition favouring processors might not like overtly complicated chord progressions/jazz or too weird changes in dynamics. Etc etc etc !!!
Luckily for all the ppl with lyric-based hcs, lyrics are a big aspect of music that tie a lot to personal preferences & background/growing environment. Music could also be a social event for robots, even if it's not an evolutionarily wired thing like it is for people. (So e.g. Rouge & Shadow getting Omega into specific type of music is a valid hc. Or him having a dislike for music he's heard Eggman listen to.)

Gentlemen, I present to you Little Burr AU
A misunderstood happened after Alexander had said some vile words about Aaron, resulting in him running away, tears in his eyes
Burr stopped at a dark and empty hallway after running endlessly, catching his breath. Little did he know there was someone, or rather something, waiting for him
That something was a demon, who craved for anger, guilt; any kind of negative emotion and was desperate for a human to meld with after waiting for so long
Wasting no time, the demon had possessed him with just a touch, causing Aaron to jolt forward
It takes, and it takes and it takes almost all of his energy to the point where he lost control of his body, the demon now replacing his spot
But it was still unsatisfied, wanting for more, so the ghost-demon created a gem to store it's food, forcing it to attached to Burr's chest and damaging his body even more
Aaron, now helplessly trapped in his mindscape, watches everything with his tired eyes; tears flowing every now and then, unable to move from the heavy chains
He waits, he waits and he waits for someone, anyone to save him
