hey i know your post about your mom was mostly just a personal vent, but i have to say, do you realize that also happens with trans girls and their fathers? literally happened to one of my friends. i’m not trying to downplay your experience or something but i found it strange that you seem to think this is something that only affects transmascs

i have one question for you: so fucking what?

i don’t doubt that trans girls have experienced similar things and yeah, that’s bad too, but what the fuck does that have to do with me and the specific things i’m facing as a result of being a trans man? i never said “look at this thing that happens to ONLY trans men and NO ONE ELSE,” i just said “hey, isn’t this thing that happens to a lot of trans men, including myself, fucked up?”

i would also like to point out that what you’re talking about is in fact a different (albeit similar) thing. the way cis people treat trans people can differ dramatically based on the cis person’s gender because their commitment to gender roles is, like, a major part of problem. the specific way a cis mother reacts to her trans son’s transition is often going to be very distinct, while a cis father will likely respond to his trans daughter in a different but equally distinct way.

what i’m talking about is a very specific kind of ownership and control and self-victimization and total lack of boundaries masquerading as love and care and maternal concern that cis women (i would argue white cis women in particular) project onto their transmasc kids when we do literally anything to our bodies. i’m talking about a phenomenon which is closely related to the way moms often pass eating disorders onto their daughters (or children they view as daughters) because they see a body that looks something like theirs and project all of their insecurities and ideals onto it. i’m talking about a form of parental transphobia and projection that’s specific to the dynamic of a cis mother and her child who was “supposed to” be her daughter.

if you’ve never felt that, you’re not even remotely qualified to tell me shit about how i should be talking about that experience, and if you couldn’t recognize that experience when you read my post, i’m guessing you probably haven’t experienced it because the replies to that post made it very clear to me that anyone who has experienced it firsthand immediately knew exactly what i meant.

like, yeah, cis dads also project onto their trans daughters, but are they likely to have a reaction like running away with actual tears streaming down their face? do you expect them to passive aggressively make comments about how sad their kid’s transition makes them, how it’s such a difficult emotional time, how it’s so tragic because their kid’s body was so beautiful before? do you think their go-to transphobic reaction will be weaponizing their emotions? i’m sure there are some dads out there who are like that, but i think we can agree they’re in the minority because that’s not how cis men are taught to react and parents like this tend to be pretty damn committed to following the gender roles they were taught.

and even if i’m wrong and our experiences are exactly the same, let me reiterate that i never said this was an experience exclusive to trans men. all i said is that it happens to us. that’s just a statement of objective fact.

this started in my life when i got my hair cut short for the first time almost a decade ago and it has not stopped since. i’ve watched my mom cry over me changing my name and respond to being asked if my happiness matters more to her than my name by saying “i care about both”, i’ve watched her melt down in a mall over me getting a suit for prom and give me the silent treatment for days after, i’ve heard her plead with me to stop t because it “looks unnatural” and she’s just so “concerned for my health”, i’ve watched her stare at me post-op and say “my poor baby” over and over like she’s looking at my corpse in a casket. i’ve watched her turn herself into the victim of every single aspect of my transition. i’ve had to live with this for 9 years and spent the early years of the pandemic literally locked in a house with it. this has been my entire adolescent and adult life, and the question of if i’ll have to cut her off someday (and maybe never see my cat or my little cousins who i love more than anything in the world ever again as a result) haunts me every single day.

who the fuck are you to tell me how to talk about that?

'Are we good? I've got somewhere to be." Jack looked up from his phone at Nemo who was focused on the control board. "Your last verse was a little pitchy, wanna run it again?"

"I like pitchy, its my new sound." Jack joked as he checked the time on his phone, his leg jiggling up and down nervously.

Nemo gave Jack an incredulous look. "Man, what's going on with you? Any other time, if I called you pitchy you'd cuss me out and you've checked the time on your phone like five times in the last 10 minutes."

"He's got a date with his girl", Urban chuckled from his spot across the room. "Girl? I thought your wife was out of town", Nemo asked as he looked between the two of them. "My other girl, Liyah. Its just us this weekend so I'm gonna pick her up from pre-school and take her on a daddy-daughter date today."

A low rumble of "aws" echoed across the room, making Jack blush. "I can still take five minutes to cuss you out if ya'll don't stop", Jack warned as he got up and grabbed his things before heading out the studio, Nemo and Urban busting into laughter as soon as the door shut.

Luckily, Jack timed it just right so he was first in the carpool line with a perfect view of the door so he could see when Aaliyah came out. He answered a couple of work emails while he waited for school to end, jumping out of the car as soon as the bell rung to join the group of waiting parents. Jack rarely got a chance to pick the girls up from school, so he didn't recognize but a few parents he'd met when Aaliyah had a playdate, giving them quick waves hello.

"You must be Jack. Aaliyah talks about you all the time." Jack turned on his heels to acknowledge a voice behind him, coming into contact with a parent he knew he'd never met before. "Hi, I'm Sarah, Parker's mom." Jack took the extended handshake as he slid his phone in his back pocket. "Nice to meet you, Jack Harlow."

"Oh, I know all about you. Parker and Aaliyah have become good friends this year so I've heard all about your music career and how cool of a guy you are." Jack gave Sarah a gentle smile. "I guess paying your daughter does work after all", he said in jest, quickly backtracking when Sarah's face fell.

"I'm kidding, promise I don't pay my children to talk about my career", he bit at his bottom lip, wishing he hadn't made that joke. "Sure", she muttered, taking a step back.

Jack made a mental note to tell you to avoid Sarah in the future, quickly getting over his embarrassment as a bunch of kids came running out. He spotted Aaliyah within the busy crowd, her messy curls up in two ponytails, her face in that beautiful smile that reminded him of you. He took his eyes off of her for a second when he felt his phone buzz, checking his text messages in case it was work related.

"Daddy!" The smile that formed on Jack's face at the sound of Aaliyah's voice quickly turned into a scowl as he saw that she wasn't alone, holding the hand of a little boy her same height as they walked toward him. His breath hitched at the sight, his chest tightening as he tried to keep his composure. "Hi Daddy! Look, I colored you a picture!" She shook the pink construction paper in front of Jack, but he was to preoccupied trying to figure out who this boy was that was holding his precious baby girl's hand.

"Who's this, Liyah?" Jack dropped to his knees to be at eye level with his daughter, taking her backpack from her. "This is Parker! He's my boyfriend!" It took everything in Jack not to pass out on school grounds, his grip on her bag tightening. "Hi, Mr. Jack!", Parker answered, jumping up and down, swinging their arms between them.

"Hi, Parker", Jack mumbled, watching Sarah approach out of the corner of his eye. "Aren't they so cute? They think they're boyfriend and girlfriend", she chuckled, reaching out for Parker, who took her hand. "I wouldn't call it cute, but what do I know?", he gritted out between clenched teeth. Jack didn't mean to sound argumentative, but he sent off a pre-schooler to school this morning and he was picking up a teenager. "Alright baby, let's go." He gave Sarah a weak smile as he grabbed his daughter's hand.

"Bye Parker! I see you soon!" Aaliyah broke away from Jack to give Parker a hug before catching back up with him. "Yeah, bye Parker, see you never again." Jack mocked as they walked to the car, his face scrunched up in irritation.

"Baby, we need to find a new preschool for Aaliyah." Jack stroked his beard, his gaze focused on the ceiling. He had his phone rested on his chest as he laid in bed talking to you, the house quiet with Aaliyah asleep.

You chuckled, rolling your eyes, even though he couldn't see you. "Like hell we do, Jack. We were on a three year waiting list for that school. What happened?"

"Parker." Jack grumbled out, making you laugh out loud. "Ah, so you finally met Parker." That made Jack quickly shoot up. "You knew about him?"

"About your three year old daughters harmless little boyfriend? Yes, yes, I did." Jack scoffed, throwing himself back down on the pillows. "I don't know about harmless, baby. They were holding hands and everything."

"Jack, please, don't start. Liyah is only three years old, she thinks she's in love with every boy she meets because that's all she knows." The only thing Brooklyn and Aaliyah knew about love at a young age was from watching you and Jack, who even so many years later were still head over heels in love with each other. It set a great example, but they were both so young and didn't understand different types of relationships yet. "She sees the way we are around each other, and thinks that how you act with people you love."

"I guess", Jack sighed, running a hand through his hair, "it just made me realize she's not my baby anymore."

"Jack, you're getting way ahead of yourself. She is only three, she still needs you for pretty much everything, and she loves you so much more than she does anyone else, including her boyfriend." You threw that in knowing that would irritate him, hearing Jack shiver over the phone. "Stop using that word, please."

"Fine", you giggled, "but you still have plenty of years before you have to worry about any real boyfriends. Plus, I'm pretty sure Parker is your biggest fan."

"What does that say about me, that my biggest fan is a toddler?", Jack asked, but you chose to ignore his quip. "So we can stay at this school?"

"Yes, we can stay at this school. We do have to avoid Parker's mom, Sarah, though." That caught your attention. "Why? I like Sarah. We're on the PTO together."

Jack let out a nervous chuckle. "She may or may not think that we pay our daughters to talk about how good of a rapper I am."

finally, some aph uzb headcanons

i realize i've done some korea, amekor, and turkuzbek hcs but i've never actually done one of my blorbo uzbekistan. so thats changing right now

- she's of average uzbek woman height(167cm) and her hair is that shade of brown that looks almost black, but when the sunlight hits just right it looks like a faint shade of auburn. you know, that kind of hair shade.

- her name is "nargiza" which translates to "narcissus flower" or "daffodil." her close friends and family(and turkey too ig 🙄) call her nargiz for short.

- her hobbies are embroidery and quiltmaking with tajikistan, trying out new desserts to bake, reading, gossiping, piano playing and knitting(she picked up both from russia), drinking hot black tea in even hotter weather(she's a tea elitist and Will Not Consider iced tea to be part of the tea category)

- best cook. she's the best cook out of the central asians and they always try to have her cook dinner("it just hits different when you cook food for us apa")

- she has a resting scary/angry face. she looks like she's about to kill someone. but when you ask her a question she'll immediately smile and won't hesitate to help you in whatever way she can.

- has the best relationship with kazakhstan and tajikistan. though sometimes she has a habit of babying kazakhstan as an older sister. old habits from the uzbek khanate die hard i guess...

- has a weird relationship with uyghurstan, and they have a few very awkward phone calls per year. if you heard the minutes of silence sandwiched in between their conversations you'd experience second hand embarrassment.

- her relations with iran are interesting. she adopted persian as the official and court language of the bukharan khanate. but she's also tried to take parts of iran's land a few times. for a while iran even exerted control over the bukharan khanate for a few years by persian ruler nader shah until he died. there's been a lot of cultural exchange from iran to uzbekistan historically, and uzbekistan is also considered a part of the greater iran region(maybe i should give her the ahoge...). nowruz, for example, is a holiday that came from persia and is celebrated in the central asian countries, especially tajikistan and uzbekistan.

- she...doesn't like russia. not at all. it's one of the few things she and kyrgyzstan both agree on, and they've both fantasized about throwing themselves at him like rabid dogs for a while(kyrgyzstan was more serious about it, and uzbekistan had to stop him) but after her independence she had to suck up to him due to her economic reliance on him. recently, though, she's been moving away from russia in favor of spotting economic opportunities within uzbekistan that will help with self-growth(and also reaching out to turkey and china for mutual trading)

- she's not the most developed nation out there, but is still very prissy about her overall appearance. she knows how to clean up. don't even get me started on the things she wears to weddings. she isn't worried about competition because she IS the competition.

- at home, she'll wear the usual stuff you'd see an uzbek mom wear, a matching dress and pants cut from atlas fabric. she'll have a small scarf wrapped around her hair to pull it back, and has her hair up in a ponytail, bun, or braids.

- when she's out, she wears perfectly coordinated outfits every single time, hair and makeup perfectly done.

- dont be fooled though. she Will wear the definitely fake chanel sweaters and slippers with pride.

- she fake smiles a lot and tries to stop her habit of having a resting scary face. even though that's her default, she's gotten a lot of flack from old ladies throughout the centuries for it.

- generally, she's not a super expressive, bubbly person(that's her sister tajikistan). she's fine with small talk(and DEFINITELY gossiping) but depending on who it is and whether they're in her social circle or not, she'll either enjoy it or hate every agonizing second of it. When you ask about her house though, she'll tell you everything with a certain sparkle in her eyes.

- if you want her to go through all 44 feelings at once and watch her freak out and overheat like an old gaming PC just bring up turkey i guess

- to get into her social circle takes a lot of time and a lot of waiting for her to open up and talk about personal things. Think maybe...20 years at the very least.

- leading into the other headcanon of her being a little insecure. throughout the years, the uber-collectivist society of uzbekistan caused her to become more and more hyperaware of her actions and how others will think about them. the one exception is that she can't hide her disappointment.

- her predecessors are the khwarazmian empire and timurid empire. she barely knew the khwarazmian empire as uzbekistan was born as one of the few tribes to emerge after khwarazmi was engulfed by the mongols.

- she was old enough to remember timurid, however. he was like her older brother, albeit one with...skewed moral values. he'd always insist that this was all to rekindle the empire that the great genghis khan left behind, and to spread islam as a religion.

"besides," he'd add, "isn't samarqand looking absolutely beautiful lately?"

"yes, because you kidnapped the best artisans and craftsmen after looting their cities." she deadpanned.

- she was quite surprised(and impressed, by a sliver) when her brother managed to successfully siege ankara and cause a civil war in the ottoman empire. she knew timurid was growing, but she had no idea he got this strong. it almost didn't seem surprising when he announced his plans to go after china, before he died(and then respawned as the mughal empire, but that's another story.)

- "russia when i catch you russia" - uzbekistan since the 1870s

- she has a house in tashkent and bukhara, but mostly lives in tashkent now that it's the capital. since she's literally the center of central asia and borders everyone including afghanistan, they all stay at her house when traveling(turkey is stuck at a hotel whenever he visits tho...)

- her spice tolerance? dont even ask. its not there. completely gone. give her a little heinz chili sauce and she's scrambling to find water.

- once korea took her out on a date to a korean restaurant. one bite of the kimchi and it was over for her

- if you ever come over to her house, she'll spoil you with food and gifts. there will be a drama series playing on her tv as you two chat for hours. when you leave expect it to be about 8 hours after you arrived and for the walk home to be extremely heavy as she gives you 3 bags full of gifts and dried fruits and desserts.

Ok, here’s all of my thoughts on S2 episode 6

• It was very interesting to see that flashback of when Aunt Julia and Susannah were closer and I’d like to see more of those so we can better understand why Julia always felt so left out in her own family. I mean yeah basically everything was explained in that scene but I just want more you know? It seems to be implied that Julia wasn’t biologically related to one of or both of their parents since the mom didn’t like her. Was this at all talked about in episode 5 and I forgot? Was this talked about in the books, too or no?

• Hear me out, what if…………………hypothetically just like, as a concept…………………..Steven x Conrad 🫣🏃‍♀️💨

• OMG DELICATE (TAYLOR’S VERSION)?!!?! AND IN A JELLY SCENE WHERE THEY’RE IN A POOL AGAIN AAAAAHIDKFJFJEJSBS

- Swiftie side rant: OMFG ARE WE GONNA GET REPUTATION TV!? I’m convinced Taylor’s gonna announce it at some point bc SHE ALLOWED DELICATE TV TO BE PUT IN THIS SHOW and that’s gotta mean way more than the 1989 Easter eggs!!! -

Anyway, I WANTED THEM TO KISS SO BAD IN THIS SCENE WHY ARE THE WRITERS TEASING ME SO MUCH OMFGGGG

• I was super suspicious about Conrad and Belly going on a supply run alone together so I’m glad Jeremiah went, too

• That scene where Belly got Jeremiah a soda was so cuuuttee🥺

Conrad saying “And I thought cocoa was your specialty” right after Jeremiah said that half cherry half Coke was her specialty was weird, idk what that was supposed to mean🤨

• JEREMIAH PUT HIS ARM AROUND BELLY AT THE STORRREEEE

• OMG BELLY SAID KISSING JEREMIAH WAS REALLY REALLY HOT AND SHE SMILED SO BIG WHILE REMEMBERING IT SLKAKSBDJFJNF

• I find it weird that Belly told Skye “Your first kiss is supposed to feel like a dream” bc I remember reading somewhere that someone said that first kisses are like, overhyped and in reality your first kiss most likely isn’t going to feel like a dream or like “fireworks” it’ll just feel like just a kiss and I think we should normalize the reality of what your first kiss actually feels like most of the time and it’s more possible that any other kiss that comes after your first will feel better especially since you’ll have more experience with kissing.

• “You’ve been looking at him all day like he’s this ice cream cone that you’re dying to lick” what the actual fuck💀 WHY did they make Taylor say that??

• OMG BELLY TRIPPING AND THEN FALLING INTO JEREMIAH’S ARMS AND HIM WHISPERING “You don’t need to hurt yourself to get my attention” WAS SOOOO HOOOTTT❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

• I think it was so gross of Conrad to not call Steven out more on trying to get Taylor to be with him WHILE SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND and even if Milo is “all wrong for her” it is not Steven’s place to decide for Taylor who she should date or not, it is Taylor’s decision only. Steven is really giving Nice Guy energy in this episode.

• I find it so weird that Cam left his DJ-ing thingy (I’m sorry idk what it’s called😭) to also find Taylor bc shouldn’t he stay there so no one takes control of the playlist and plays sth else?? But I guess it’s ok since in the fight scene that guy Jumper is the one DJ-ing, oh well.

• I don’t remember if I already said this so excuse me if I sound like a broken record but I don’t get why so many people do not like the idea of Cam and Skye together. People are saying “Skye isn’t good enough for Cam” but I don’t see any reason that Skye is a bad person or unlikable besides maybe them being Julia’s kid but that’s a stupid reason bc they are not exactly like Julia and I think that’s been pretty obvious since their character was introduced. I like Skye, I think they’re great and while I did see a besties vibes with them and Cam I don’t mind that they kissed and I’m not against it and I don’t mind if they become a couple. I’m confused about who these people want Cam to end up with if not Skye bc there haven’t been a lot of scenes with just him and Belly and it’s very clear that that ship has sailed so who tf did these Skye haters want him to be with?? Are they just transphobic? Bc I just saw the official ig account for TSITP post about their kiss scene and a few people are saying that so many people in the comments are being transphobic and homophobic which I guess could definitely be a reason why ppl hate Skye even if they deny that’s the reason.

Also I was just informed that a lot of people think that Skye is cringe and I think I understand that a little bit but I mostly just interpreted them as having their own different personality compared to the more outgoing main characters and I just thought that they were more comfortable doing other things besides what the main characters like to do (I’m referring to S2 episode 5) and I don’t really see how they’re cringe but ig I’ll have to look at some compilations to see why so many people think that they are.

• I find it very hard to believe that Steven liked Taylor even way back when she had a big crush on him or as he puts it “even when you were just my little sister’s annoying best friend” bc he literally dated Shayla in the last season and he loved her so this isn’t making any sense to me and I don’t believe it.

• Oh how I wish that Steven didn’t get into a stupid fight with Milo so that Belly and Jeremiah didn’t have their KISS INTERRUPTED AKSJSBIDORHEJNFNG MY GOD WE ALMOST HAD THEM!!!!

• Steven rubs me the wrong way this season bc he’s been going after Taylor while she was still with Milo and I really, really hate that and I hated when he tried to speak for her during his fight with Milo like she can speak for herself on whether or not she wanted Milo to be there STFU and physically fighting another dude over a girl is not attractive at all like can we stop putting that in shows and books? It’s stupid and embarrassing.

• Conrad encouraging Steven to “kick Milo’s ass” was just…ew

• “It’s Madison. Her middle name is Madison.” Ooh I’m such a nice guy, I know absolutely everything about Taylor and you don’t and that’s why she shouldn’t be with you and she should be with me instead🤡

• That condition that Aunt Julia put into the sale for the cousins house seems like a pretty good deal. They get to rent the house for one week every summer, it’s not their house anymore but at least they’re still allowed to go back to it and keep having their fun summers, Conrad should be grateful.

• I honestly don’t think it was necessary for Jeremiah to use Belly and Conrad’s breakup to get to Conrad, I think he could have brought up anything else along with him refusing to accept the condition Julia put into the sale of the house and him not seeing their mom every day after they found out she had cancer, and it would have been nice to learn the specifics of what their relationship was like when they were younger and Jeremiah dealing with people telling him Conrad was better than him and more specific examples of Conrad “throwing things away instead of fixing them when they’re not perfect”. I get that he was mad at Conrad and it was all in the moment and everything was happening so fast but I just feel like the writers could have made him focus less on Conrad and Belly’s breakup and more on their relationship as brothers maybe?? Even though it does track with him in episode 5 thinking “I could have done everything right, I could have given Belly the perfect prom night and Conrad ruined it for her” I just don’t think that he should have blown up about it in front of Belly at the very least.

• Girly, so what if he remembered your middle name?💀 that is the bare minimum, Taylor could have at least said more about why she caught feelings for Steven again besides that

• I’ve been on edge this whole time about Belly and Steven staying at the summer house for too long that their mom will find out that they’re gone and I was rooting for them to go back home before their mom got back home but I guess she’s gonna find out now that Belly left her that voicemail giving it away and I’m so ready to see what happens next!!

• Okay clearly there was a lot of miscommunication caused by assumptions in Belly and Conrad’s relationship. Belly says that if she knew that Conrad cared about her and their relationship then she would have fought for their relationship and Conrad says that he thought she knew he cared about her from the moment that they kissed on the beach and I think that based on that, when things were getting tough he should have reassured her that he cared about her and loved her bc that just sounds like during that tough time he didn’t tell her that he loved her and so she thought he didn’t care. In relationships you need to always be communicating so both parties are on the same page and clearly Conrad isn’t good at communicating when he goes through a rough time and that hurt Belly. And I looked at the script for this episode and he never answered her question “Why did you throw it all away?” Why did he break up with her if he thought she knew he cared about her? That is a really good question that I’m only 50% interested in hearing the answer to, sooo Team Jeremiah for the win, I hope🤞

just because you can do something doesn't mean other autistic people can 🙄

Not inherently, no. Autism has a wide spectrum of experiences and it's really silly to assume that just bc one autistic person can do something that another autistic person can do the same.

However, as an autistic person with a giant autistic family (uncle and both younger brothers pro'dx'd / grandpa, dad, mom, and grandma all un'dx'd but highly likely on the spectrum, all also on different spots on the spectrum) that also has a giant history of familial abuse - I think it's absolutely wild to essentially argue that disabled people, in this case specfically neurodivergent people, are immune from apologizing when they hurt someone if it's related to their symptoms (even if the hurt is accidental or happens in a heightened state where the person doesn't remember what fully happened).

Like, continuing to use myself as an example, my family is a wild cocktail of neurodivergence, brain trauma, and mental illness. There's so much trauma in this baby you wouldn't believe the half of it. And guess what - so much of the most abusive people's behavior got written off as "well they can't apologize or take ownership of the fact they traumatized you because [x,y,z symptom or substance related reason]" and that's fucked up.

It's genuinely a gateway into abuse apology to say "If someone isn't aware of their actions they don't have to apologize for them".

I also think it's actually really ableist to try to imply that autistic people don't have to apologize for accidentally hurting people because it's out of your control and that... somehow means you don't have the ability to see you hurt someone accidentally and therefore don't have to feel bad???? Like man. If my brother hurts me or my step mom during a meltdown he still apologizes because even though he couldn't control it and we don't blame him - he still feels sorry for it and it helps everyone, himself included, feel a little better afterwards.

Someone's placement on the autism spectrum doesn't stop them from having complex emotional relationships with other people. It's infantalizing and ableist to treat them otherwise.

Hi I'm a Mystique fan. I feel like I'm part of a small minority here but I absolutely hate what they did to her in the new origins.

Like the Draco had her be easily tricked, heartbroken, used as a womb but at the end of the day she chose herself to get back at Azazel by nearly killing Kurt after his birth took everything from her and put her in grave danger at a rather vulnerable moment of her life (she just went through excruciating labor and right after that got chased by a mob for hours). She then went on and rebuilt herself, choosing on her own to never think about either of them again, and happily raised a child with the love of her life after meeting once again, being given some peace at long last.

These new origins had her be easily tricked even harder, even more heartbroken, used as a Goddamn printer and semen syringe by Destiny, hoe herself with people she wasn't even interested in or picked herself, build her entire hopes up of raising this child with the love of her life, expose herself as a mutant after "just seeing kurt", knowingly be put in direct danger by Destiny with a mob while she was trying to save their child, tricked into abandoning their child that apparently only she wanted, weeping alone by a cliff after doing some useless back and forth between a tree and a castle for someone who turned out to have bailed on her, spend 5 years tracking down Destiny to get back at her only to give that up because she chose to let her talk, presented Rogue as a consolation prize by the very person who tricked her into raising a child together in the first place, given the lamest explanation and excuses under the damn sun to justify everything (which with only a lick of knowledge on the situation would have made her realize those were more lies), convinced to forget about it with a full mind wipe she only agreed to do partially, .... She then went on to unknowingly remain with what could be best described as her life long abuser, devoting herself fully to her, placing her on a pedestal and as her main priority contrary to any children she's had even the one she raised, do everything in her power to resurrect her back to life and go back to doing exactly everything the same as before her death, be forcefully mind controlled by a telepath after said abuser gave the okay for him to do that if she didn't follow her along after she's shown some reservations and aversion to her last demands, go on to loudly mention her abuser as the other mother of the child said mother abandoned and chose to completely forget about... in the middle of active gun fight with their enemies aka for no damn reason (Kurt : "[Mystique] is my mom.", Mystique : "One of your moms!"), ...

I can't believe I'm saying this of my own volution but if I had to pick the better poison, I'll take the Draco.

Some people argued with me that through these new origins, Mystique had been given her agency back but ? I don't see how or where that is the case ?? Seems like she lost more of it and got left with none ???

Might be missing something here, maybe you can see something I don't ? What do you think ?

I'm guessing its a case of they for some reason like Destiny more so if she does more manipulative stuff they let it slide. They have some type of view where they have a higher tolerance for manipulative things women do compared to men. Or they let it slide because Mystique was in a long term relationship with Destiny. Or the other thing is they somehow think this whole thing adds to Mystique and Destiny's relationship... Nightcrawler being related to Destiny a character he barely has any dialogue with.. lmao. Honestly even if you hate the Draco at least it wasn't full of mindwiping retcons and more of "wow well you know everything of Kurt's life was planned!" It's also so bizarre that Xavier now apparently knew of Kurt's existence since he was a baby and at no point did he think "huh maybe i better reach out to this mutant kid who doesn't look like other humans"

I decided to take Theo’s advice and meet with my mom again. I should probably apologize for yelling at her, although it was warranted. However, if I want to begin some kind of relationship with her, I have to control my emotions….

Theo and I walk in, and I see her waiting at the table. Theo isn’t wrong… my mom is beautiful. I in fact get my looks from her….

We head to the table to greet her. She looks very nervous but also more confident than last time we met if that makes sense. We sit down.

Dana: Thank you for coming again. You must be Theo.

Theo: Nice to meet you, Ms. Peterson.

Dana: Dakota, he’s a very attractive young man. I see you get your taste from me.

Wow, we really are related. She’s just as conceited as I am.

Theo: Thank you, Ms. Peterson.

Dakota: Yeah, Theo thinks you’re pretty hot.

Teach you to say that to me when I’m not in the best place.

Theo (embarrassed): I’m going to go order some drinks.

Dakota: You know what I like.

Dana: I’m okay with water, thank you Theo.

Theo leaves so my mom and I can talk.

Dana: You guys are so cute together…. Reminds me of a time in my life…

Dakota: With my dad you mean?

Dana: Smart, you got that from him.

Dakota: He is pretty smart.

Dana: To be honest with you, I feel like had I stayed, you wouldn’t have turned out as great as you did.

Dakota: Is that another excuse….?

Dana: No. Not at all. It’s the truth.

Dana: I truly don’t believe I would have been able to cope properly, which would have probably led to an ill relationship between us.

Dakota: And this is?

Dana: I know, I know.

Dana: Dakota, I came back because I have now gotten to a good place in my life, and I want to right my wrongs. You were the first one on my list.

Dakota: What about my dad? You were his wife and you left him too?

Dana: I plan to talk to your dad if he will speak to me.

Dakota: I’ll be honest, he is not very happy I am here right now.

Dana: I can imagine. I don’t blame him.

Dana: I’m not asking you to love and trust me immediately…. I know that will take some time. I’m only asking for you to try to get to know me, so I can get to know my daughter.

Dakota: I guess that’s a fair start.

Dana: Dakota that makes me very happy.

*Dakota nods*

Dana: Can we start with an official hug?

Dakota: Sure.

After we finished hugging, Theo came back with our drinks, and we sat and had lunch together. It wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. She got to know me a little more and a little about Theo. She is hoping to be able to sit down with my dad soon and talk to him but knowing my dad, that may take a while. I was never expecting this part of my life to transpire but I am not necessarily upset it did. I look forward to having a relationship with my mom. It’s a true beginning for me.

zombies fanfiction headcanons/rewrites/etc masterpost (y/n-ified)

》 mother was a zombie, father was human

zombie-human relations/relationships were banned until the summer before the events of z1, therefore they met illegally. when they were eventually caught, y/n was already 3yo, and their mom was imprisoned + died, and their dad ran away. y/n was taken in by eliza's family and hidden as no one outside of their parent's friends knew about them.

》》 being of mixed species, y/n has some abnormalities

instead of fully green hair, there's just some obscure streaks, moreso towards the front of their head.

y/n can only partially "zombie out," but only when their z-band is removed and they aren't in control of their emotions

additionally, y/n has visible (although fairly faint) eyebags and y/n's skintone stays normal -- although they turn extra pale when their blood pressure is low (dehydrated, losing blood, lacking nutrients, etc)

@unusual-ly (here) and another user(will credit if i find the post) had really great takes on this theory and i agree 100% that this makes sense + that people just called them zombies and whatnot, and i will absolutely reference this if i get the chance

§} eliza's dad, zed's mom, and y/n's mom, among multiple other zombies, died to an illness that spread throughout z-town. because of humans neglecting zombies and restricting their access to medical treatment, the zombies were extremely vulnerable -- especially when imprisoned, like how y/n's mom was

§} zed,, i fixed him

he's proud to be a zombie. i never liked how he kept trying to change himself to be likeable and more human, so when i write his character, he'll be more like eliza in the fact that he's fighting for humans to accept zombies for who they are, not for zombies to be more like humans.

§} bonzo is ~a year older than eliza and zed but got held back a year

i just believe he wouldve been

§} z-bands

over time, z-band tech evolves and zombies look more "human," looking less pale than they did originally, and their eyebags slowly fading

z-bands were created by humans who had relatives or loved ones who became zombies ((i got this idea from a tumblr post i saw somewhere,, if yOU KNOW WHO IT WAS PLEASE TELL ME I WANT TO CREDIT THEM

|| y/n meets wyatt ~a week before zed asks addison to the prawn in the forest while getting froyo

wyatt's working undercover at seabrook power

"what do you recommend?" "huh? oh definitely vanilla. it's a little basic, i guess, but i love it" "vanilla, please" ... "you work at seabrook power? you seem kinda young for that" "haha yeah it's uh, a summer internship" "that's cool :)" and then they got froyo together almost daily when he'd get off work

wyatt tells them that he's just moved to seabrook and is going to shs, even though he really wasn't he decided on convincing willa to let him go undercover there later

|| the "great alpha" is y/n, but they aren't a werewolf

the prophecy never specified that they would be a werewolf - only that whoever it was dressed like one in the prophecy's image, specifically

wyatt knows about the prophecy n everything, so he tries to get closer to y/n. when it's apparent y/n has no idea what/where the moonstone is or could be, he convinces willa to just go to the town as students and do their own research (like in the movie)

i changed it from addison to y/n for "y/n needs to be interesting" purposes and also because addison's character is so bad in the fact they made her the most stereotypical main character ever. she feels like an "i throw my hair into a messy bun and look at my blue orbs" fanfic sterotype main character sometimes im SORRY I HATE IT

|| the werewolves' ages are never really mentioned or confirmed so i'm going with them having the average human lifespan + age development, if that makes sense

i'll explain what i consider to be their ages later shdhfj

|| wynter is a year-ish younger than willa + wyatt and they treat her like a little sister

because i said so and also it makes sense

|| willa and wyatt only share a dad, wyatt's mom left the pack when their dad chose willa's mom

i just needed to give them parents okay? idk

|| the markings on their faces have meanings

willa's 3 stripes(?) indicate that she's the current alpha,

wyatt's 2 stripes indicate he's whatever the alpha's second-in-command is

everyone else has the 3 leaves signifying that they're "of the forest"

the geometric star type thing on their arms represents the "yellow sun" (i dont have a meaning for it yet)

elders get some other marking, i just dk what (it simply makes sense that they would)

i don't like how she (specifically with the wolves) (almost) only cared more about them because she thought they were cool and because she could've been a werewolf. i think it should be a bit deeper than that, and that she should actively fight for integration (for both zombies and wolves) so she will be doing so when i write her :)

for two reasons: one) continuity in regards to the way bree + addison met and the characters' ages, and two) because i like the idea of her begging her parents to move so she could join the seabrook cheer team (it was her dream)

at the end of z1, bucky actually had character development and he deserves to stick to it. the writers completely disregarded it in the following movies and i dont like that so im changing it. @unusual-ly worded this really well here and had some awesome headcanons that i'll be referencing/using here. i also really liked @ourveryowncheerrockstar's headcanons for him so i'll be referencing some of them, too!!

i'd also like to think that bucky decided to rename them because 1) he thinks it's cool and makes him look cooler (its like his own branded entourage), and 2) he really likes those names and always has (he absolutely gave dolls these names as a kid)

Poor Entrapta just wants to explore space and can't without the portal, but as Adora points out, the last She-Ra basically fucked with things so a portal would end up destroying the planet

Angella fliying towards all the princesses and Shadow Weaver as they teleport away is animated really beautifully

I'm sure it's fine that the last conversation Glimmer had with her mom was an argument :) I'm sure that won't be an issue later :)

They get to the Fright Zone, various princesses fight off members of the Horde, Lonnie pulls the alarm, and--

but yeah Catra's face before she gets it under control is uhhhh expressive

ugh Shadow Weaver's tone here. It's the kind of thing that's meant to sound kind to anyone listening but is obviously condescending and awful to Catra

But yeah Shadow Weaver didn't have a good reason to just torture Catra at this point but she does it anyway until Bow stops her

Some relationship musings and thoughts on coming out/being outed against my wishes under the cut

So my partner hasn't exactly been The Best about not outing me to people without permission so far. It thankfully hasn't caused any serious problems (yet) but I still don't like that control being taken away from me on who I'm out as trans to

Right after I came out to her she... struggled with processing things. She outed me to one of her friends the next day without telling me or asking (I only found out after talking to her later) and kinda pressured me to come out to one of our mutual friends earlier than I planned to so she could talk to that friend about me being trans. I know it wasn't malicious, she struggles with change and has a hard time processing things without talking to others but she did definitely pressure me into coming out to a few people before I wanted to

She also called off our engagement when I came out to her (honestly I thought she was going to break up with me for a solid week or two) so the not wearing her engagement ring after we'd already announced getting engaged and she'd been wearing it for a few months prompted some questions. She's not good at lying (and I can kinda understand not wanting to lie to family members even if I don't agree with it) which kinda led to her outing me against my wishes a couple more times

Not long after I came out to her she visited her mom, who asked about her not wearing the engagement ring. Her mom ended up guessing that I was trans, which my partner ended up confirming. This specifically made me pretty uncomfortable to hear about because my partner's stepdad (ish, it's a weird dynamic) has said some kinda transphobic stuff and I really wasn't comfortable with him knowing. It ended up turning out well enough, but it was really uncomfortable for me

A few months ago we visited her grandparents and some of her extended family. I'd given permission for her to out me to one of her cousins (who is also queer and we both trust) but she ended up outing me to her grandmother too when they were talking about the aforementioned cousin. Again, it wasn't a problem since her grandma was supportive, but it still could have been a problem. That weekend we were also kinda dodging questions about when we were planning on getting married (because my egg cracking pushed that back for obvious reasons) and after we left there was a scare that her grandmother had outed me to the rest of the family, but she actually just poorly explained why we were pushing off getting married

Anyway we're back to being engaged again and she's visiting her grandparents again this weekend, without me this time. She'll be meeting up with some of her extended family as well and since she's wearing her engagement ring there's going to be more wedding questions. She was kinda pressuring me again about coming out to her extended family and also saying that she didn't want me to be there for coming out to her family because she's worried about how they might react which is honestly valid, I'm just not ready to be out to her extended family

I guess we'll see how things go after this weekend but I'm just worried. I don't really blame her for most of the outing me against my will but it still felt shitty. She's not perfect in many ways (especially relating to queer identity) but she tries and I absolutely love and adore her. She's amazing despite some of these issues but idk. I'm valid for feeling like it's pretty shitty of her to out me against my will or pressure me to come out before I'm ready, right?

I haven't talked to her in detail about my feelings on this (honestly I'm kinda using this as a way to organize my feelings about this) so I know she doesn't really understand how it's made me feel but it still sucks

I don't really know the point of this? Advice is welcome but I'm also kinda just trying to get my thoughts organized and out there while also venting about something I haven't exactly been able to vent about

"Hm! Not that I know of. I've never really met any other people outside of the Danceverse. I only met Sara, who's not from here. I've heard of The Traveler and Shia' Nova, who are Lusty's parents. They basically hate my mother, and I hate them." Jack explained, crossing his arms as he huffed at the memory of his best friends parents.

"And as for my relationships with the rest of the Just Dancers, it goes like this.

Me and Brezziana's relationship is more active and is always about getting fit. Me and her basically go and work out. She does this thing called 'B Jams'. It's where we work out for a period of time and then have a break before going back to our workout. It's not bad. But, she likes to get carried away sometimes. I'm still trying to get those raw eggs in a cup out of my memory." He said, shuddering. "Ugh! Nasty. I'll never forget the way Bre-Bre slurped the raw eggs from that cup. I still have nightmares. It's horrible." Jack said, trying to erase the memory before clearing his throat. "But, she always lifts me up with her energetic spirit."

"Me and Mihaly's relationship are more like relaxed if you will. They are always doing this weird relaxing thing where you to karate but more chill. It's called Tai-Chi, I guess you could say. They also are really helpful whenever I get mad over my mother, taking control of the other coaches. They are also teaching me meditation. I think I'm up to the shoes off part." He said, shrugging as he grasped onto his microphone tightly.

"Me and Sara are quite good. She tells me really great stories about her home from Earth. She also is the one who always wants to try makeovers on me. I'm still trying to wash out the blue dye from my hair from that unicorn makeover she gave me." He explained, brushing his fingers through his red hair. "She is also the very first person I ever saw. (Besides, Lusty and the rest of the gang.) She is also the caring one and cares for everyone. But boy, do not tick her off." Jack said, looking at the viewer. "God help, Mihaly, who accidentally bumped into her prized collection of hairpieces. I could not forget how angry Sara looked and how fearful Mihaly was. It was so bad. We basically all go by a code to not make her angry." He said, shrugging.

"Me and Lusty are more like brothers than friends. Our relationship is basically who's the better son of the travelers, I guess you could say." He said, shrugging. "We are practically the duo of the group. Basically, like brothers kind of. Lusty makes me laugh by doing something that isn't even really considered on our mission to take down my mother." Jack said, looking at them. "Considering he is the son of The Traveler and Siha' Nova, (two bozos I still dislike very much) I was a bit skeptical of him at first, and soon realized that I shouldn't hurt others."
