As Merrin tenderly cleaned and bandaged the scratches, she noticed the warmth she felt while maintaining physical contact with Cal. Instead of releasing his hands when she was done, she held them tighter. Cal looked up with a questioning gaze, but didn’t pull away. Instead, he grasped her hands back and they sat in a comfortable silence for sometime.

what i find really dumb in the grudge of edinburgh is deathpierce, for one, thinking meliodas WOULDNT beat his ass for putting a curse on his wife, and for two, thinking meliodas and the other sins wouldnt still be powerful?

like this dude has seen the sins in action. he has seen them end a holy war. he has literally seen meliodas break his friend’s bones with literally a single finger. like did it never occur to him that after all the sins have done, he wouldnt want to make them his enemy??

i understand arthur gave him a little fragment of chaos, but that’s all it is, a little fragment of his power. the sins ended an entire war that lasted for thousands of years, even stopped cath when cath wanted to take control of chaos (even if it was just arthur, like, consuming him?)—i just dont understand???

not to even mention he got bested by two teenagers, both of which are the kids OF the sins. what was deathpierce thinking when he decided to go after the daughter and son of literal gods???? like lmfao???

maybe im just like not thinking about it thoroughly enough, but it makes no sense to me why deathpierce would think the sins wouldn’t still be powerful 😭
