I mean, do I even need to say it? Elena Gilbert. Constantly being burnt at the pire of internalized misogyny and media illiteracy. I maintain that not everyone has to like/stan Elena but if I could hear one justification for it that wasn't 'she hurt my favorite grown adult teenage baby boy' that would be nice.

but since that's the obvious answer I'll also add a slightly more controversial one which is Jennifer Humphrey, another unfortunate victim of the babygirlification of trash boy r*pists and some unfortunate writing. I will forever maintain that nothing she ever did was worse than anyone else on GG and she will forever deserve better, both on the show and in the fandom.

okay, this one I'm actually struggling with because (obviously if we're dealing with favs we're dealing with Elena or Elijah) and I can see them both playing both sides on this tbh,,, however-,

Elijah always bottoms and Elena always tops. He's old, he's tired. Elena deserves to have some control for once. Getting daggered by her in season two really turned him on. For whatever reason, he's down horrendous and on his knees. Eats pussy with every meal. (plastic crown Elijah in particular).

Bonlena deserves so much more love, they have such a complicated misunderstood love for each other that often gets sidelined by fandom wars. (you can love more than one woman at a time I promise the world won't explode). Also Bonnie and Kol or Klaus (I refuse to be silenced they would've slayed and if you disagree just dig down and ask yourself why that's so unthinkable if you have no problem shipping Elena or Caroline with them)

Been seeing a lot of stuff abt pierro being Kaeya's dad or at least being related to him based off how he might be khaenrian because of the eyes and the placement of his mask which is similar to that of Dains mask

Whats ur thoughts on it? And do you have any potential au ideas?? Maybe even potential angst fodder???

So I'm not a huge fan of the idea. And I didn't really notice that mask placement cause la signora also had her mask on that side. And well, I haven't done like a detailed look on character designs; I just get the vibe the designers favor that side of the character. Like Xiao's tattoos are on that side, Yanfei's Law book, Itto puts his weapon over that shoulder, and Bennett's armband signature glove, and his goggles all lean to that side.

While I could be wrong, I'm not gonna put too much stock in there something is placed on a character even if they are supposed to be from the same civilization until we have more. And three is a pretty small sample size, tbh. Especially when one of them Is a POC.

And that's another reason. Yeah, Pierro could still be Kaeya's dad with light skin, but! I've ranted on representation a lot, and I'm not gonna really stop. So Until we get more POC characters, I'm just gonna say no. Because Kaeya's parents are darker-skinned. Once we get more character, I'll be more open to the idea. (Also, I'm not gonna stop harping on mixed-race Thoma either. Cause it seems like everyone ignores that about him.)

Final point stories-wise. Still make no sense. Like if Pierro put Kaeya in Mondstadt as a spy... why did Signora get Venti's Gnosis? Why didn't he have Kaeya get it when Kaeya was already there and a friend of Venti's? Kaeya's who spy notion and it really being untouched for so long is just... kinda... feels like a massive plot whole they wrote for drama but don't know how to fill in right now.

So my working theory is, well, Kaeya being a "last hope" was a lie. His family somehow avoided the curse for centuries, and Kaeya was the last member who wasn't really affected. His father thought to save him but put him in a place where he'd be away from the effects of the other's curses. Maybe Kaeya protested, wanting to stay with his family even if it meant his own death. So his father told him he was the last hope for his family and people's safety just so Kaeya would be motivated to survive.

I'm also gonna point out if this lie was ever relived to Kaeya. It would push up Rag Bro reconciliation. Because. DILUC WOULD KNOW THAT FEELING. No one would understand Kaeya's crumbling world better than Diluc because Diluc's world was shattered too. And Diluc's not a heartless man. I think he's incredibly empathic and, with his history, would be compelled to be there and comfort Kaeya understanding his pain and just being there for him... Because Diluc wanted someone there for him when he was going through that.

tbh kaeya loves your… not-so-bright moments

he honestly finds them adorable

especially because when he first met you, he thought your personality was more on the serious side

he couldn’t be more wrong

whenever you’re having a moment he just sits back and enjoys the show, watching as you figure out your own problem

“wait!” you yell, stopping in your tracks.

kaeya does the same and turns to look at you. “what? you okay?”

“yeah, i just… i forgot my map.” you sigh, shoulders dropping in defeat. “i told you i would bring it and i forgot! we can’t go on this mission without it or we’ll be completely lost,” you explain.

a grin appears on kaeya’s face, and he crosses his arms. “are you sure?”

you furrow your eyebrows. “of course i’m sure! if i had it with me, i’d be looking at it right now!”

“do you remember right before we left when we stopped to talk to bennett?” kaeya asks.

you pause to think. “yeah… but what does that have to do with my map?”

“retrace your steps, love.”

you and kaeya were headings towards the entrance gates when you were stopped by the young adventurer, asking where you guys were going. you told him where, and let him join until he was pulled aside by another adventurer. he was told that some if the older guys were having arthritis problems again, so you and kaeya left without him.

“i still don’t… oh!” you reached into your back pocket and retrieved your map. “got it!”

tbh she doesn’t really notice if you ask obvious questions or ask her if she’s seen the book you’re holding in her hands

she finds it kind of endearing

and she doesn’t blame you for getting confused easily, you’re a very busy person after all

you’re so busy all the time she’s impressed you can even keep your head on straight

it wasn’t until you joined her on her ship that she started to think you didn’t have it on straight

beidou was more than excited to bring you onto her ship and introduce you to her crew. she just wasn’t really expecting to have to babysit you the whole time.

“do you guys have fishing rods? i can try to catch a fish for dinner!” you say excitedly, looking out to the sea.

“what? no,” beidou steps closer to you. “you can’t fish while we’re moving. you won’t catch anything.” she says, putting an arm around you. “i appreciate the sentiment though.”

later, when a storm started to brew, she had to drag you off the deck.

“no, let me stay!” you whine, trying to pull your hand out of her grasp. “someone has to look after the ship!”

“yeah, the people qualified for the job can do that, babe. i don’t need you getting struck by lightning…” she sighs.

she might be more aware of your silly questions not that it involves her area of expertise, but she’ll glare at anyone who looks at you funny.

“woah… are you gonna make him walk the plank?” you ask beidou after she practically shoots daggers at a crewmate with her eyes.

“the plank? no, that’s just a myth. there’s no plank walking here,” beidou replies, laughing.

but having you in his lab makes him a nervous wreck

he trusts your judgement for the most part

but his experiments are very tedious

“oh, so i just pour this in here, right?” you ask, tilting a vial.

“n-no!” albedo, panicked, grabs it to stop the liquid from pouring out. “not this one. this one,” he says, giving you a different vial with blue liquid in it.

“right, right…” you say.

“pour it slowly—“ albedo sighs as you dump the liquid into the container in front of you.

you look at him, and then back down at the liquid. “sorry.”

he smiles. “it’s fine. nothing exploded, right? so we’re okay.”

you bite your lip, thinking. you set down the vial. “maybe this is better as a one-man-job,” you tell him with a sigh. “i think i’m doing more harm than good here.”

“no, no, no,” albedo grabs your hand. “it’s fine. you’re doing great! you just need to… uh, listen… a bit more. i’m just worried for your safety,” he says.

“right… i should pay more attention. this stuff is serious.” you grab the vial you were holding before. “is it time to add this one yet?”

albedo smiles. “unfortunately, no. that one isn’t even being added to this concoction.”

Honestly, same. Let’s hope I don’t make this a long tangent but knowing me I might.

I made a post about this a few days ago. No, matter what type of witch or coven a new character came from in tvdu somehow they always had to make that comparison to Bonnie or her family line? Which is off-putting, but hey when plecverse suddenly changed it’s lore all black people/women being witches to suddenly look we have white witches on deck and they are super powerful (why? No body knows they’re just white women/people with choices and better character arcs...) When they just simply couldn’t stand the lore of powerful black women

We already know if anyone should’ve been Hope’s mother it should’ve been Bonnie. This tribrid ep from legacies really sparked all this discourse when the answer is RIGHT there. Making comparisons of their most powerful moments/personalities/family lines etc…If you have to bring up Bonnie Bennett and her line that much than maybe Hayley wasn’t the right fit for her parent. (Which she wasn’t…)

The writers had already taken the Twilight baby-plot & the lore was right there to be explored. Regardless, if Klonnie was an endgame ship or just a hookup/co-parents…But Bonnie was black so we couldn’t have that… Imagine if we had a black woman leading legacies? Or in general more black casts members in The Originals? Here’s a question where did all the Bennett’s go that did not reside in Mystic Falls? Why couldn’t some of them be in New Orleans? There’s another plot line there Bonnie searching for more of her family? The possibilities are endless seriously. However the fans won’t admit that however (bc then they’ll also have to admit benefitting from mistreatment & racism which has been touched on before.) They might even spark arguments about “pure & morally high Bonnie” again so…

I never see people compare if Hope is a stronger wolf than her parents. It’s always that witch side that is such a debacle (with the honorary Bonnie mention bc it NEVER fails) Mikaelson magic is a very funny thing once more bc Esther had 7 kids, only 2 were witches and somehow now there’s debates about Klaus being some untapped witch due to his wolf side…and then there’s Hayley—the wolf that stole rightful development from Tyler & (even Klaus tbh..) I would say for her mother…

Instead of Bonnie Bennett direct descendant of Qetsiyah. Generations on generations witches who created nearly everything in tvdu to a point where you need their blood to do spells. But, nope that would be wishful thinking. Anyways, this got longer than expected but Bonnie Bennett is absolutely any day any given time clearing little Mikaelson.

People seem to forget Bonnie took down Klaus several times as a newbie witch (even Elijah recruited her for help) ..she can most definitely handle a magical loophole. Idc, what any prophecy says about Hope bringing destruction to the magical world that’s just some shit Plec verse pulled out their typical hat of bullshit and no originality when she probably watched breaking dawn before she wrote the script. *shrugs*

It’s always mind boggling how many villains the Bennett’s and Bonnie especially was linked into and none of these villains didn’t have a soft spot for Bonnie or any ounce of respect for her naturally.

Who do you think would be able to noncon and wife Lumine? Since she's been traveling worlds and stuff she's probably stronger than what we give credit for, so who do you think would be a good match for her?

Oh there's a lot of good candidates and I am a Lumine Harem Enthusiast™ and honestly everyone has their own advantages.

I mean yes Lumine is powerful, but still visibly struggles at times like the golden house fight, with Baal, etc, so I think it's fair to say she has combat experience/technique skill and elemental power but still the actual physical strength of the average female of her size, so, not too strong. Unfortunately without a vision, she can't just have her power stripped from her, but most of our boys are candidates in their own way.

She visibly struggles against Baal, so it's fair to say she's no match for an actual archon like Zhongli or Venti, probably not Xiao either. In terms of physical + elemental power she's not even close to a combative threat. Those three would have the easiest time of it. Of them, the most likely to do so would definitely be Xiao, based on some of his dialogues and birthday letter and teapot lines he's pretty direct about having some form of attachment to/affection for the traveler and just based on his personality I feel like he's the most likely to snap into yan mode, so to speak.

Side note interestingly one of the things I haven't discussed much is that like, yandere is rarely the natural state of a person, it's more like an underlying tendency/a state of mind/a "side" of a person that can be triggered or snapped into, and certain individuals are more or less likely to do so. Some have to be driven to a breaking point through a lot of stress, some just a few conditions have to be met, and then for a few it's basically their default when they experience affection or attachment. So certain characters are far more likely than others to "become yandere." Xiao is absolutely high on that scale for likeliness, would be in that last category, so yeah, the most likely of those 3.

Venti would be least likely, but he could be driven to it, and Zhongli is somewhere in the middle. All of them would be able to do so with some ease, though, and Zhongli and Xiao specifically could lock her in an abode. Not to mention they don't really die as easily as a person I think? So even if she attacks they'll probably be fine. Venti also has psychological manipulation on his side, he can probably easily gaslight her into seeing her brother as an enemy if he really tries. If all else fails, sweep her up with that burst of his and knock her out.

Any human or human adjacent would have a significantly harder time since Lumine's elemental powers cannot just be taken away so easily. If anyone can find a way to do so though, that would probably be Albedo. He's also smart enough to not make his intentions too obvious, much like with his quest - he would just perform harmless experiments he claims are for this or that reason, eventually developing a way to strip her of her power. His biggest advantage is obviously intelligence. He'd always be one step ahead of her, always predict her next move, and that's just as good of an advantage as any physical or elemental one.

So while it would be more difficult if she still has her power, the thing about Kaeya and Diluc is both of them are the kind of stubborn (Diluc) and deranged (Kaeya) enough to... Just restrain her. Arms and legs bound. At all times. Can't use your powers if you can't move. Diluc can just keep trying to be kind in his own way, because he *can* be sweet and caring when he tries, and would eventually just mindbreak/Stockholm her. Kaeya on the other hand... She's a lot more likely to end up... Permanently incapacitated. Can't escape if you can't use your limbs. For those two, the hard part would be getting her - most likely grab her while she's asleep, but once they have her and get her restrained, they're set. They're both bigger stronger men and can easily beat her in terms of pure hand to hand strength. Pyro is a rather frightening element and can be used as a projectile in Diluc's case, a burn can easily incapacitate. And if she tries to escape in the rain or cross a river she can be easily frozen too, and Kaeya's one of the least afraid to seriously hurt her to begin with. Eventually she'll become conditioned, the pain she experiences every time she tries to escape will eventually outweigh her desire to be free and find her brother, eventually she'll crack and give in to despair and give up, he can break her with time.

Childe and Scara would have it a bit easier than those two, because they have more help. The Dawn Winery maids can help Diluc sure, but they can't really contain her quite like Fatui can. She can't fight off 10 of them by herself. So even when they're not nearby, they can just have people watch her. Sure she puts up a fight, but they both kinda like that. In the end even if she escapes, they can probably manage to get her back, especially with help. For one I feel like Childe is a lot more capable when in a wide open space like the outdoors chasing her would be, in comparison to a tiny enclosed space like our fight with him.

The smaller boys would have the most difficulty. Razor and Xingqiu have the advantage of pure numbers/outnumbering her. Xingqiu has guards but in the end they're just normal guys and can't do too much. Still, when their entire force is gathered, they might be able to overpower her, especially if she's not in anemo mode and can't blow them away.

Razor has a similar thing going on -- sure, they're animals, you can blow away five wolves, but fifteen? Thirty? Fourty? She'd be able to escape eventually but the problem here would be staying escaped. Boy has no limits and inhuman levels of stubbornness and will gladly chase her across the entire map. Catch Lumine reaching Inazuma thinking she's finally safe and our boy comes emerging from the water like the cryptid he is just "found you, we go home now", he fucking swam across the ocean for that Lumine coochie and he'll do it again. Unbelievable.

Razor also has an elemental advantage. Other elements like hydro + cryo combo can freeze her if you have dual yans, but his is the only element where getting one good hit in can completely shock her into unconsciousness or paralysis.

The ones who have the hardest times would be Chongyun and Kazuha. It's just themselves, really, I doubt the Crux would be too willing to help imprison a girl, especially since Kazuha isn't in a position of power over them the way Diluc, Xingqiu, Scara and Childe have power over their forces, and they're not as insanely loyal as the wolves. Chongyun is on his own by default, maybe can enlist help from Xingqiu and his forces, but it's unlikely they'll help him all the time. Both are pretty determined, but they'd have a difficult time fighting her. It's a toss up honestly, but even if they lose one battle they can find her again and eventually win. They would both likely try to catch her by surprise, take her while she's sleeping, etc. Kazuha has no qualms restraining her, Chongyun feels bad, but he'll do it if he has to.

Bennett has the pure protection of being Bennett. Like yeah you want to find your brother but is it worth making Bennett sad? No. No it is not. I'd drop my entire journey right there bc I can't bear the thought of hurting him. He doesn't even have to restrain her, could you imagine breaking his heart you monster? No. Lumine is finished.

Dainsleif could probably manage. He has tricks up his sleeve, I guarantee it. He's been around long enough there's no way he hasn't learned how to handle a being like her, probably knows of a way to strip her of power.

Tbh? Ultimately, the best choice in terms of being able to handle her is her brother. He knows her too well. He knows exactly what her strengths and weaknesses are, he probably knows exactly how to beat her. He knows her better than anyone, and it gives him an incomparable advantage, so she's pretty much done for.

So tl;dr Lumine is fucked both figuratively and literally and should just accept her fate :)

warning: writer of this post is suffering from serious post-vaccination delirium.

~ first is stefan salvatore, obviously. he's the ripper. if he was a villain, he'd make a very good one. probably last a few seasons or maybe till the finale and stuff (brought back from the dead). don't see him as the main villain, probably a sidekick of sorts.

~ second is bonnie bennett. don't see her as the villain type because her goodness far outweighs her negative qualities. but she'd make a very good villain if we considered the vendetta she has against vampires in particular (S2, she refused to help Caroline but later conceded)

~ third is klaus mikaelson. obvious choice, he was a wonderful villain and had a fantastic redemption arc. if hope hadn't been conceived, he would've still been causing a lot of chaos.

~ fourth is elijah mikaelson. he's very unpredictable. decapitation is his favourite killing method. has a charming personality and a way with words. very dangerous but we all still love him

~ fifth is damon salvatore. very dangerous. literally assaulted women; caroline, andie the reporter, elena, etc. and that's creepy as hell.

~ sixth is hope mikaelson. tribrid, the most powerful creature. firstborn mikaelson. power could've gone to her head and corrupted her, something like that. right now, she's on a no-humanity spiral which serves as proof.

~ seventh is freya mikaelson. let's be honest — she's the mikaelson firstborn. highly powerful. she was kind of a serious threat to hope in TO S2 and even went to great lengths to subdue dahlia, making elijah wary of her.

~ eighth is josie saltzman. she could've made a slightly annoying, yet highly powerful villain of sorts thanks to her being a gemini witch. if she became a heretic, she'd be even more of a threat.

~ ninth is elena gilbert. this is a conflicting thought of sorts. i can't say she'd make a nice villain, but I sometimes see elena (this is coming from an elena stan) and I analyze both her good and bad sides. sometimes her bad side shines brighter (like how she killed kol) and it kind of leaves an impact that is sometimes frustrating to ignore. maybe the tvd writers could've let her go down to a path where she ends up corrupting herself thanks to vampirism and then become an unstoppable witch-vampire hybrid by tapping into her Petrova heritage (and ruthlessly kills a lot of people) bonnie could've killed her along with the destruction of the other side. elena meets kai in the prison world and it continues on and on (potential kailena?) and then in the future, we could probably see a elena-katherine team up. grey opinion, but very interesting.

~ tenth is alaric saltzman. tvd S3 serves as fantastic proof that alaric is a better antagonist than a protagonist (tbh he's literally a deuteragonist because he protects hope and at the same time, he disses klaus and the entire mikaelson legacy in front of her) as evil!alaric, he literally spiced up the tvd S3 finale and it was just so good.

~ eleventh is rebekah mikaelson. partly, because her antagonistic side was shown only against elena and her banter with caroline didn't feel like a hero-villain convo, more like a rivalry banter that was enjoyable. regardless, she is very ruthless, there's that too.

Bennett's kisses improve slightly overtime but for the most part your gonna be receiving some pretty sloppy kisses.

However, after he becomes more familiar with the act of affection, his kisses can be really sweet and soft

He gently presses his lips against yours, though be warn- his lips aren't really chapped but some appliance of chapstick can easily reverse that

At some point he finally admits his feelings towards you and he's already expecting rejection. Apart of him doesn't feel worthy of your affection let alone your undivided attention.

However, if you do choose to reject him, Bennett blames himself for having false hope and leaves with an apology. He avoids for many days but the people of Mondstadt could see that Bennett has lost his enthusiasm and upbeat attitude. The poor boy had found himself in the most unluckiest situation with his emotions.

O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

His emotions are pretty easy to read. He can be an open book at times. He tries to hide his feelings at times however he struggles to and there is an obvious look of admiration towards you

He can hide his blushes sometimes but there are those moments where red paints his face

Though his feelings really become obvious when he's talking with you. Early in your relationship he's easily brought to a stuttering mess, trying to pick his words carefully and not screw anything up. It's easy to spot it out.

Tries all possible ways to express his love for you. Acts of love such as helping with your commissions to give you more time to relax or helping you collect resources. He tries gifting the rare amounts of treasure he does find to you. And sometimes he expresses his feeling by physical touch and affection; firmly holding your hand with a huge dumb smile on his lips, or kissing you on the nose

His favorite is the latter, softly kissing the tip of your nose, as he clutches your hand with his, giving a firm but comforting squeeze. His heart beating as he fall even more for you

R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

Tries to be as romantic as he can but can be rather cliche in most cases. Bennett is inexperienced when it comes to relationships and he replies on the acts of affection he observed from others.

Though hes a pretty awkward romantic as he can easily become flustered but it gets better over time. Y/n just has that superpower /shrug

He does have some creative methods as well. Sided with his bad luck, Bennett can come up with something new to make you happy. He attempts it all and is excited too as well

But he tries anything to being a smile to his s/o.

T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

Simple is not an option in your relationship. His bad luck said so

But in actuality, Bennett is an adventurer he seeks to go on adventures whenever he gets the chance. And he enjoys taking his s/o along.

Going treasure hunting- although most times he returns empty handed, a smile is always brought to his face knowing that his partner is right there beside him, with or without treasure.

Bennett is really open to try anything new his s/o suggest. He enjoys the thrill of trying something new.

Although with his bad luck there's really never knowing what will occur while on your adventures. And Bennett can get really paranoid because this. He fears that his bad luck will cause you to get hurt one day.

He dislikes and fears the idea of you getting injured because of him. There are rare occurrences where he keeps his distance, especially in areas where you can get injured easily. Like a rocky area for example. He sticks behind, reassuring that your saftey comes first

Comics this week (5/26/2021)?

Heroes Reborn #4: JAMES STOKOE?! Hahahahaha this shit ruled

Heroes Reborn: Magneto & The Mutant Force #1: Nothing revolutionary but if you're in for Orlando or any of a couple eras of X-Men worth a look-see.

X-Men #20: I recently realized Hickman's entire 'main' X-Men run has been nothing but setup for either what he'll do with his upcoming next book, X of Swords, or other titles in the line, and that the real story hasn't actually progressed since HoXPoX. Glad to see any sign of that changing soon.

The Marvels #2: My dad did want to get it himself after all, and it's a perfectly decent issue.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #26: I think I'm done. This represented another slight uptick but I don't think I can justify continuing with a book defined by its occasional slight upticks anymore.

Abbott 1973 #5: This on the other hand flat-out sucked and I'm not bothering with whatever trilogy-capper's in store.

Haha #5: Another relatively not-horrifying one! Maybe Prince really is starting to vary himself a bit. In any case it's Walta so obviously it's gorgeous, if you're already in the tank for anyone involved this issue's a treat.

The Department of Truth #9: Oh boy howdy do I love me a good high-falutin' bullshit lecture issue. This can't exactly hang with Promethea in that regard but it's a respectable mere rung or two down.

The Blue Flame #1: This didn't knock my socks off the way I was hoping, but for a mini of I believe just a few issues I'm curious enough where it'll go.

Strange Adventures #10: I don't think it'll go for a disappointing 'actually it was Alanna all along!' ending at this point so I'm pretty wholeheartedly enjoying this testament to how hard my least-favorite character sucks. Everybody's fixed on the map, but personally my favorite art accomplishments of the issue were Doc's look at the Seafolk and Gerads' Alanna in flight.

Action Comics #1031: PKJ continues to strut his stuff but for me this was first and foremost a Sampere showcase issue, this is the most since Ryan Sook I've thought "this is the guy who should define Superman's interior art for the next decade".

Batman/Superman #18: Increasingly a slight Multiversity vibe to this whole thing even besides the dimension-hopping, with 'traditional' storytelling giving way to something more unsettling as a reveal of deeper social truths - I continue to extremely fuck with it.

RWBY/Justice League (digital) #10: A letdown tbh aside from Bennett clearly having her own take on the arc of Yang and Blake's relationship; I was hoping this is where her character talent would get a chance to shine, but not so much. It just feels shockingly perfunctory compared to her original run, though I suppose that's par for the course with crossovers, and I'll continue to hope for a more fruitful sequel.

Batman: Black and White #6:

Thomas/Randolph/Bennett: Unsurprisingly a fun little story coming from Thomas. However - and I'll concede it'd be hard to do a 'Batman realizes that as a white man however well-meaning he's still unconsciously practicing systemic racism' story I'd be 100% onboard for, and maybe that's just on me as a white guy who doesn't want that fictional idol despoiled in quite that way - I've never bought the idea that there are parts of Gotham Batman avoids, whether the East Side or the Cauldron or in this case The Hill.

Charretier/Colinet/Maher: Nice but we've all seen this exact story done better before, though the last panel of the kids' recounting was effectively striking and Charretier really struck the perfect visual balance for it.

Derington/Wands: Writing's not as good as it wants to be but who cares it's Derrington drawing Batman.

Arcudi/Harren/Napolitano: ...ok?

Snyder/Romita/Janson/Napolitano: It's fine, it's a Scott Snyder Batman story so you know roughly what you're getting (though his chapter in Detective Comics #1027 really should have been his last word on the character), and Romita Jr. does his best work in a minute here.

The Other History of the DC Universe #4: Probably the best issue since the first, bringing back a lot of the intimate focus in possessed and the same visible filter of how this particular character is perceiving things in a way the reader is inevitably going to clash with that gives the whole thing a charge. And my philosophy-major dad will definitely get a kick out of the last couple pages. Shame it didn't end with "AND THEN I RECRUITED THE SUPERMEN OF THE MULTIVERSE TO HELP BEAT UP MANDRAAK THE DARK MONITOR" though.

Alright I was like hm I give up on Abyss Floor 12 chamber 3 with my current team, let's switch it!

All I did was make it harder for myself really fkjadhfkjsa which is...unfortunate...

So some analysis under the cut

Original teams I was trying with -

First side: Xiao Qiqi Razor Venti

What I like about this: Xiao and Venti feed each others bursts so I get bursts more often. I always pair Xiao and Qiqi because he really needs good heals if I wanna use his burst often and recklessly. Razor is just there as a sub DPS and provides good elemental reactions.

Cons: No shields. Qiqi's heals can't keep up with how hard the enemies whack. Her burst doesn't come up often enough either tbh (that might help, when I go to get better artifacts for her).

Second side team: Diluc Zhongli Albedo Mona

What I like: Geo bursts for days both Albedo and Zhongli have hella energy recharge, plus geo constructs everywhere since I have C3 Zhongli. Diluc and Mona equals hella vaporize, very protected, team never takes any damage. This team has to be the one to fight the Ruin Graders based on survivability alone. Whichever team has Zhongli has to do it.

Cons: tbh none, this team is flawless, the problem is the other team is very unprotected.

So I tried to switch the teams thusly:

first side: Xiao Qiqi Albedo Venti

second side: Diluc Bennett Zhongli Mona

honestly...both sides were worse. Qiqi is not good for applying elements (and Anemo doesn't interact with Geo) so it was hard to get shields, particularly with chamber 3 because Ruin Guards don't element. So all I did was remove my sub DPS really. Second side just didn't do as much damage as it did the first time, so it was slower but still fine.

If I want to put Albedo on the first side team, I need to add someone who does better elements. Xiao is the DPS so no go. I need a healer so I ought to keep Qiqi. So that would mean Venti. But Venti is what makes chamber 2 doable for this team when it would otherwise be pretty difficult, so that's also a no go...I think I could potentially leave Albedo on the other team and add Noelle to this one for a shield, but she isn't built. At all. Or leveled. But I think I got her C4 now which is pretty good? Then I could leave second side in it's original form. Noelle can also be a sub DPS since I'm losing Razor to have her on the team. That sounds pretty reasonable to me? But it also means we still only have Qiqi as applying elemental reactions and I think that's a mistake. So I think it might be more worth trying a team that replaces Venti...

I could also imagine restructuring as such

first side: Diluc Qiqi Mona Venti

second side: Xiao Bennett Zhongli Albedo

Potentials pros to this...Diluc gets melt and evaporate, we have a fire guy to deal with the ice geovishap and the ice cicin mage. No shield but Mona and Venti are both solid CC and Qiqi heals great. For the second side, with Zhongli's shield Xiao can take damage and hang out and wait for Bennett's burst to come up and be fine. Zhongli and Albedo are great sub DPS while Xiao's burst/skills are coming up.

Although...side one has little recourse against the Ruin Guards so maybe that's still a bad idea...hm...

I've kind of convinced myself to try this team actually. Not tonight because it's late now but...hm...it seems promising.

Rheese Bennett & Jacob Seed (idk if anyone even reads these except me but under cut because long post)

DISAGREEMENTS

Who is more likely to raise their voice?  Jacob. Now don’t get me wrong, he doesn’t loose his cool all that easy but Rheese can be a pain sometimes and he lacks the patience.

Who threatens to leave but never actually does?  Neither of them.

Who actually keeps their word and leaves?  This is actually what Rheese does when they break up about three months before the game. He finally is too deluded by Joseph’s demands of him that she cannot get through to him anymore and keep him from hurting people. They have a pretty bad fight about him torturing people that ends with him actually slapping her with the intention of making her shut up because she wouldn’t stop arguing against him. She gives him one moment to apologize for that, but he doesn’t so she leaves :’)

Who trashes the house?  They frequently throw things at each other.

Do either of them get physical?  Depends on when. Jacob pushes her around sometimes or touches her pretty roughly when he suffers from the effects of his PTSD. No domestic violence though. They also land real blows in training fights, same level bad on both sides really.

It’s worse during the arrest when they aren’t together anymore. Jacob was pretty devastated when he realized she actually left for good (he interpreted ‘i am leaving’ as her going home). It resulted in a lot of self blame (justified) which his family couldn’t really deal with. Joseph convinced him in the end that she was just another test he had to overcome in his life to find his correct path. So, he pretty much behaves just like he does in-game. She doesn’t get special treatment, she gets starved and thrown into murder trials like everyone else.

How often do they argue/disagree?  Pretty often. In the beginning it’s all they do, until they realize that having normal conversations every once in a while isn’t so bad actually.

Who is the first to apologize?  Apologies are for the weak :)

SEX

Who is on top?  Jacob

Who is on the bottom? Rheese (though she won’t admit it if you asked her)

Who has the strangest desires?  It’s nothing very strange tbh (at least not by my definition of strange... god i’ve seen ... things on deviantart. Definetly none of that!)

Any kinks?  Yeah, the perfect combo of wanting to feel powerless and wanting to feel in control. It complies with their character really. Rheese was forced to take care of herself ever since her teen years, which developed her into a pretty tough person. She likes the control she has over her life, and doesn’t let herself be pushed around by anyone. Feeling stripped of that control is however really exciting for her. Jacob’s kinda the other way around (imo anyway) in that he’s constantly following orders nevermind when or where, even within his own family (to not disappoint Joseph).

Who’s dominant in bed?  Jacob, Rheese only if he forces her to be :)

Is head ever in the equation?  Yes

If so, who is better at performing it?  Rheese. Slightly unfair though because she’s simply worse on the receiving end.

Ever had sex in public?  Yeah, much to her dismay.

Do they ‘fuck’ or ‘make love’?  Even the nastiest sex is ‘making love’ to them really. It’s frankly a form of talking to them because they both truly suck at verbal communication. Also, Rheese has the old fashioned rule in her life that she won’t sleep with people she isn’t sure about, so before actually being together they don’t have sex. Tho she’s close to breaking that rule multiple times.

Rough or soft?  Rough, sometimes foreplay is soft.

How long do they usually last?  Depends on time and mood. Also Rheese is a lot younger so she sometimes could go again when he can’t. However that doesn’t mean he gets the best of her sometimes :’)

Is protection used?  Yes on her side

Where is the strangest place they’d have sex?  Some small cabin at the place they train Judges. It was kinky, they got caught and she prefers to just not talk about it ever again.

Do they plan on having children/or have children?  No, they never wanted to. Their daughter Jaina was an unwanted accident.

Who gets naughty in the most inappropriate of places?  Jacob usually. But sometimes she’s good at it as well.

Who struggles to keep their hands to themself?  Jacob, and it bothers her a lot in public. He doesn’t really care about what his people think of him, he knows he’s the boss so they can’t say shit. It’s also a way of just showing off that she belongs to him and that’s exactly why she doesn’t like it, cause she ain’t property. Also, people might believe she only became a Chosen trainer because she fucks the boss, which isn’t true because she got that position from someone other than Jake, based entirely on her performance.

How long can they cuddle until one becomes uncomfortable?  Until Rheese falls into deep sleep and starts spreading her limbs everywhere uncontrolably.

Who gives the most kisses?  Jacob

What is their favourite non-sexual activity?  Honestly, just existing next to each other is enough. They are just as happy just sitting in the same room, doing their own tasks, as they are going out for a fishing trip (actually she hates fishing, but the lakes are nice).

Where is their favourite place to cuddle?  The bed

How often do they get time to themselves?  Usually evenings and nights. They would have more time together if Rheese didn’t value her alone time. Sometimes she prefers to spend her days off alone, going on a ride through the forests or just relaxing without anybody around. He doesn’t quite approve of that but she doesn’t let herself be locked up.

SLEEPING

Who snores?  None of them

If both do, who snores the loudest?  Nobody

Do they share a bed or sleep separately?  Share a bed when living together.

If they sleep together, do they cozy up together or lay far apart?  Usually fall asleep cuddling but where they end up is entirely up to chance.

What do they wear to bed?  Underwear usually. Though t-shirts along with that in the beginning.

Are either of them insomniacs?  Jake has trouble sleeping and often wakes up. Her presence helps him but she’s not a magic sleeping pill so the issue never fully disappears.

Can sleeping pills be found by the bedside?  Nah

Do they wrap their limbs around each other or just lay side by side?  Usually the first, when it’s too hot the latter.

Who wakes up with bed hair?  Both. Rheese loves his messy hair, especially after she bullied him enough into letting it grow a bit. He however calls her hay-head, because her hair gets all tangled up and poofy despite being tied into a braid.

Who wakes up first?  He does, good luck getting her outta bed before 10.

Who prepares breakfast in bed for the other?  Nobody does, they aren’t romantic.

What is their favourite sleeping position?  Rheese digging her face in the space between his neck and shoulders while one leg and one arm hugs him and he has an arm around her.

Can a television be found in their bedroom?  No, though she sometimes uses his laptop to watch movies.

Who has nightmares?  Jacob has real ones, Rheese only the occasional bad dream we all get sometimes.

WORK

Who is the busiest?  They both are pretty equally busy.

Who rakes in the highest income?  It doesn’t really matter to them. The cult pays food and since they don’t care much about materialism, they don’t need much money.

Are any of them unemployed?  They have their job in the cult. Rheese works as a deputy before and after her stay there. so no.

Who takes the most sick days?  Neither really take any unless they are really so sick they can’t move. It’s an unhealthy work ethic but they feel useless when just lying in bed all day.

Who is more likely to turn up late to work?  Jake didn’t before, but he sometimes does because of her in the morning. Not that he really minds though, who’s gonna say anything against him?

Who sucks up to their boss?  Jacob in regards to Joseph, which Rheese thinks is very unhealthy. She doesn’t like how he lets himself be used so much and mostly blindly follows whatever his brother says. They have a lot of arguments about this and in the end it’s what ruins their relationship.

What are their jobs?  He’s head of security at Eden’s Gate. She’s a deputy, then pseudo joins the cult and works herself up to become a trainer of the Chosen, then she returns to her deputy position for the arrest.

Who stresses the most?  He does

Do they enjoy or despise their careers/occupations?  Police work wasn’t her passion. It was just a career she thought wouldn’t be boring. No noble motives and such. She only reprises her role as the deputy for the arrest because she falsely blames herself for everyone who’s been hurt by Jake’s hands after she left him. Her return is based on her trying to redeem herself. She had fun training Chosen, but she wouldn’t want to be part of any torture cult.

Jacob barely has any opinion on his work. He believes what he does is what needs to be done and he’s the best suited person for the job. You won’t find him complain, though he secretly just wants peace in his life. He hopes the cult’s actions will ultimately lead to that.

Are they financially stable?  They have enough.

HOME

Who does the washing?  Neither until one of them is fed up with the pile in the sink or the lack of clean plates in the shelf.

Who takes out the trash?  Usually Rheese is bothered by it first.

Who does the ironing?  They don’t

Who does the cooking?  She makes good pancakes. But other than that? Don’t allow her in the kitchen because she can’t cook for shit. He can cook a couple of things but is often simply too lazy to ‘play housewife’ so their dinners often consist of very simplistic things. Occasionally one of them will bring home takeout.

Who is more likely to burn the house down just trying?  Rheese, just...keep her out of the kitchen.

Who is messier?  Both pretty much. His place is a mess and she isn’t bothered by it because her apartment looked the same.

Who leaves the toilet roll empty?  Jake, to annoy her.

Who leaves their dirty clothes on the floor?  They both just throw them wherever.

Who forgets to flush the toilet?  Jake, again to annoy her. (her ‘ewww you’re fucking nasty’ face is really entertaining)

Who is the prankster around the house? Neither, they diss each other a lot, sometimes joke on the other’s cost but no deliberate pranks.

Who loses the car keys when it comes time to go somewhere?  Doesn’t really happen.

Who mows the lawn?  No lawn

Who answers the telephone?  They answer their own cells respectively. He refuses to get a smartphone.

Who does the vacuuming?  They don’t own a vacuum cleaner. Only a broom and a mop.

Who does the groceries?  Usually he does.

Who takes the longest to shower?  Rheese, she enjoys the feel of hot water on her skin.

Who spends the most time in the bathroom?  Not much difference there. Rheese doesn’t bother anymore with any routines and such after Jake told her he hates when she wears makeup because it makes his hands sticky when he touches her face :’) Though sometimes she will still put eyeliner out of habit.

MISCELLANEOUS

Is money a problem?  No, they don’t need much.

How many cars do they own?  Jake own an old truck and a motorcycle, Rheese used to have a car but sold it. She prefers riding on her horse Nugget anyway.

Do they own their home or do they rent?  She had an apartment in Missoula before ‘joining’. Then she lived at Stone Ridge for a while, then she moved in with him to his place. A tiny cabin far up a mountain at the far outside of the region.

Do they live in the city or in the country?  Country

Do they enjoy their surroundings?  Yes, especially the forests.

What’s their song?  You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi

What do they do when they’re away from each other?  Working, doing their own thing, living. He’s more possessive about her than she is about it. But they both function normally when not being together.

Where did they first meet?  Technically at the church during her very first sermon to ‘join’ the project. But they only interacted about a week later when he’s supposed to bring her to her initiation at John’s place. They immediately hate each other :’)

Who spends the most money when out shopping?  Whoever does the grocery shopping? They both aren’t big on other shopping trips.

Who’s more likely to flash their assets?  She’s not very show off-y. Jacob likes showing she ‘belongs to him’.

Who finds it amusing when the other trips over?  Both

Any mental issues?  Rheese doesn’t really, she lost her parents and her family is extremely distant but it never gave her trauma.

Jacob still deals with the aftermath of war esp. His PTSD gets bad sometimes and he has sleeping issues.

Who’s terrified of bugs?  She is afraid of spiders, and would appreciate if he killed them when they are in the house. But usually he ends up throwing them at her and tells her it’s therapy to defeat her fears.

Who kills the spiders around the house?  Neither, see above

Their favourite place?  A small lake behind a mountain near his cabin.

Who pays the bills?  The cult

Do they have any fears for their future?  Yeah, they are very conflicted about it. Neither of them know where it all leads and their differences (esp the age one) is an issue at times.

Who’s more likely to surprise the other with a fancy dinner?  They don’t really do that.

Who’s the tallest?  He’s 6'1, she is 5'2. He constantly calls her ‘Shorty’, not in any endearing cute nickname way, but purely to mock her height.

Who’s more likely to just randomly hop into the shower with the other?  Happens with both of them frequently. Tho Jacob is more prone to this because he showers less on his own. So when she’s in there he’s often like ‘might as well join’.

Who wanders around in their underwear?  Rheese starts this trend which he really doesn’t complain about. She also argues that it makes sense because then there will be less laundry to take care of. Can’t really argue with that really.

Who sings the loudest when singing along to the radio?  She does, very very badly cause she can’t sing.

What do they tease each other about?  Her short height and his age. Always.

Who is more likely to cringe at the other’s fashion sense at times?  Doesn’t really happen but he does judge her Power Rangers T-shirt she wears for sleeping.

Who crushed first?  They both kinda did. They blamed it on physical attraction at first, which made Rheese mad because he wasn’t her type. It takes them a couple of months to actually admit they might eventually possibly perhaps maybe have feelings for one another :)

Any alcohol or substance related problems?  Not really

Who is more likely to stumble home, drunk, at 3am?  Rheese does once, and another time they do it together.

Who swears the most?  Jacob, though she’s pretty good at it too.

2020 reads, summer tbr edition. The plan is to come back to this post as I read the books and probably dump my thoughts here, not sure yet lol

On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous: really liked it, although the narrative structure wasn’t quite my cup of tea. Still, Ocean Vuong’s prose is incredibly beautiful and raw. Overall, I’d still recommend it to everyone, even if non-linear narratives aren’t your thing, because Vuong’s prose is incredibly frank and yet stunning, and the way it captures memories and brief moments in time is absolutely incredible. The novel has so many layers, its complexity and nuance are truly outstanding. 

The Empire of Gold: really liked this one! It develops the political conflict that was built in the first two books very well. The build up is quite slow and I get why some people may have issues with the pace, but I really liked the different storylines and how they all came together. Also loved the romance so much. I wouldn’t have minded more space for female side characters though.

Provenance: this wasn’t a bad read, but not as good as I expected it to be either. It reads much like a comedy of manners mixed with interplanetary politics, which was fun, but not as in depth as I wished. The characters fell a bit flat (especially the secondary characters) and their relationships weren’t as developed as I had hoped. The world was very cool though, especially with how fleshed out it felt, even when it came to minimal details.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: i’m very conflicted about this. On one hand, I really did like it, the book is fast and compelling (and reads very much like a tv show). On the other hand, the ending felt like unnecessary drama and it ruined it just a little bit for me. Anyway, worth the hype.

Girl Serpent Thorn: sort of disappointing? It’s a nice YA fantasy, but the premise begged for a more complex and nuanced development. The characters weren’t particularly fleshed out and the plot was a bit too flimsy. The mythology and world building, mostly inspired by Persian folklore, were really interesting and the bisexual rep was nice as well. 

The Nickel Boys: I really don’t mesh well with Colson Whitehead’s writing style (it just sort of reads very essay-like? I’m more of a purple prose person and his books almost read like non-fiction in general), but I liked this much more than The Intuitionist. This is such a hopeless and cruel novel and it delivers one punch to the gut after another. The final twist was as brilliant as heartbreaking truly. Glad I read it, as hard as it was. 

Shorefall: I liked it as much as Foundryside, but I still think this series lacks the spark and the nuance The Divine Cities Trilogy had. It’s still a pretty complex fantasy series (and Bennett is a master of his craft for sure) and I liked the economical and political subplots so much, but the characters do very little for me. The f/f romance is super cute and the cast works well, but the characters aren’t as compelling on their own. Still, a solid read.

Realm of Ash: this was great! I really like how Tasha Suri creates so much tension between her characters (the slow burn, the yearning...) and the character development in general. I love how this book was mostly focused on the court, because the moral ambiguity and the intrigue really set it apart from its companion, in a good way. 

Salt Slow

Dune: DNFed this one at 40% (which is like, over 250 pages), because it was extremely boring and yet confusing. As much as I like modern science fiction, I think most of the classics may not be for me. 

The Once and Future King

Angels and Insects: DNFed this one, no regrets. I read Possession earlier this year and as tough as it was (it’s just really such a dense book), the painfully slow pace was worth it, because of how well crafted and complex it was. Angel and Insects contains two novella and the payoff wasn’t worth the boredom, so I just dropped it.

A Gentleman in Moscow: this was literally perfect until the ending. I just...found it overly bizarre and forced. The rest of the novel is, however, 100% worth the hype. It’s compelling and nuanced and such a good character study. Really loved the prose too.

The Impossible Girl: the premise was better than its execution, I guess. I feel like my biggest problem with this one was how flat the characters felt to me and how the plot was a little messy. The premise was great (crossdressing girl with two hearts working as a resurrectionist was interesting to say the least), and I can’t say I didn’t enjoy the novel overall, because I did, just not as much as I thought. 

Notes on a Nervous Planet (if all the academic reading I need to do for thesis doesn’t end me first)

I actually don’t do too well with structured TBRs and I might read these in a month truthfully, so I don’t know how this experiment will go, but I guess I’ll see.

Stuff I’ve read out of the TBR: The Kindgom of Back by Marie Lu (I loved this one, would totally recommend checking it out), The Gameshouse by Claire North (the first novella is good, the rest was painful to read tbh), The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel (well written, but I really just did not care at all for it).

Okay, so this takes place after the hearing. I don’t feel as comfortable writing in this time zone, since Ethan’s relationship with MC does vary, but this is in the friend-zoning reality. ^-^

Day 4 Prompt: Cuisine

Pairing: Ethan x MC (ish)- from Ethan’s side only

Summary: Leah goes out to celebrate with a friend, but things become a bit awkward after she meets Ethan.

Leah nervously fidgeted in place. She was unsure whether her current outfit was meant for the fancy restaurant Bryce insisted on taking her to, but she hoped it was fine. Sienna did say it brought out her eyes, and a sparkly red cocktail dress seemed fine to her.

She sighed. Did she really belong here?

"Reservations," a bored voice inquired once she reached the stand. Leah hesitantly gave Bryce's name before one of the workers led her to an empty place.

Leah knew she was early. She couldn't be late to such a stuck-up place for fear of being locked out, but now…

She looked around. Many people sat in fancy clothing, some busy speaking on their phones while others sat as couples sharing a romantic meal. Leah shifted nervously. Was this really the right place for Bryce to take her, when in reality they were simply friends?

A low voice drifted over from the nearby tables. It was cold, proud and formal. Leah turned to the speaker, and a smile rose to her face when she saw who it was.

“I’m sorry, but I’ll have to decline,” Ethan Ramsey declared. He pushed a packet of papers back to the man across him, who gaped at him as if he never met someone like Dr. Ramsey. Leah couldn't blame him. Her mentor was special.

The desperate man straightened in his seat. He swallowed, desperately searching for anything that would convince the world-renowned doctor. He opened his mouth, thought better of it, and then cleared his throat. “Excuse me, but duty calls. Goodbye.”

Ethan nodded. The man hurriedly gathered his belongings before he ran off. Ramsey watched him with a slight smirk before he turned his attention back to the food on his plate. The only thing better than Italian cuisine was food that bled insurance companies dry. Luckily, this dish was both.

Just as he was about to resume eating, Ethan felt a weight of a familiar gaze on him. He raised his head, and his heart jumped when he met Leah’s eyes. The red of her dress made the twinkle of them even stronger, their emerald color more beautiful than any gem he could have found.

He swallowed. Why, out of everyone, did he have to fall for her?

Leah smiled when she finally caught his attention. She sat in the empty seat across from him, ignoring the food on the plate in front of her. “Hello, Dr. Ramsey,” she said as she carefully smoothed out her dress.

“Hello, Dr. Bennett.”

Leah smiled. “What are you doing here?”

“I had a meeting with another insurance agent.” He smiled somewhat mischievously, but his smile weakened when his eyes fell once again on her.

Leah laughed. “Of course. I should have known.” She chuckled when she saw the barely touched food in front of her.

Ethan cleared his throat. “I didn’t expect to see you here.”

Leah blushed. She didn’t meet his gaze as she fiddled with the tablecloth. It may have been only a few days since they returned to be mentor and intern, but with everything that happened before then things were still quite strange.

“I’m meeting someone here. He… he insisted. As celebration for the verdict.”

Ethan swallowed. “Of course.”

It was clear who she was meeting here. A lucky co-worker, one she clearly had real feelings for. If Ethan was in any other position, being with Leah wouldn’t have been such a problem. However, with her current internship and the way she made her feelings perfectly clear, Ethan had to watch from afar.

Ethan cleared his throat. “Well, this is a good place to go to on dates. The food is very...”

“Do you have any experience?” Leah asked. Her voice shook slightly, as if she was just as nervous as him.

Ramsey nodded. “Some.” He hesitantly opened his mouth. “Rookie, I wanted to let you know that-”

“Hello, Dr. Ramsey. What are you doing with my beautiful date?”

Leah jumped when Bryce spoke, but a laugh overtook her once she saw him. “Bryce, why did you have to scare me like that?”

He winked. “If I didn’t know better, I would’ve guessed that you’re already on a date.”

Leah blushed. “This isn’t a date, Bryce! I told you already how I feel about Dr. Ramsey!”

For a moment, the happiness in Bryce’s eyes disappeared. His gaze fell on Ethan, more solemn and serious than Ethan ever saw. 

Eventually, after a long inspection, he nodded. “Fine.” Once he turned back to Leah, his smile once again covered his face. “Shall we start our celebration, then?”

She laughed. “Of course!”

Leah didn’t look at Ethan as she pushed her chair back. She took Bryce’s arm in a show of manners before her date gently led her back to their table.

Ethan sighed. He looked back to the cold food which just lay on his plate. His appetite now forgotten, he forcefully got up and walked out. Somehow he managed to look anywhere but Leah and Dr. Lahela, though her laughter burnt his skin more than he ever thought possible.

If only it didn’t have to end this way. If only she cared for him as he did for her. If only he could win her over the same way Lahela did. 

If only he didn’t feel so alone.

[Post 3 of 3]: Cheater, Cheater, Booty Eater!

I see you all are still on a natural high following Summer Crush, but I come baring sad news.

Unfortunately, this will be a tragic reveal of the ugly secrets that have been going down behind our backs. And it is no laughing matter ....

I’ve mentioned in my earlier posts that this town is boring. Well apparently you’ve all been smoking the same crack rock as our problematic fav, because the headassery JUMPED OUT! I said last time that I would place myself on the scenes of the lives of our fav Santa Monicans and that exactly what I did during Summer Crush.

In fact, I took it an extra mile by planting cameras in all of the hook-up huts, the cabanas, and even the fantasy suites. So me pretending to be “shocked” when I found out that June got #Dic, was pure theatrics. Though I was actually shocked that she had it in her. BUT I RETURN TO MY POINT...

I’m sure you guys noticed a certain hot couple was missing from the countdown, and what I found out about these two was truly disturbing...

So here we go…

ooc: I do make jokes about The Amish community, but if it gets out of hand in this post, please let me know. And apologies in advance. 

I think the most asked topic, by far, is between Shark Boy and Lava Thot (Yes, I’ve changed the name, sue me). Most of you have simply asked, “Butt Stuff?” And so I decided to get to the bottom I decided to get to the TRUTH of the situation. Just a recap for those who missed it: Myles ditched the strap provided by his Amish girlfriend, Jasmine, for a real lug of MEAT. The rumor was that Myles Bennetover began having a SCANDALOUS affair with Julian Stark. I thought that it was complete MADNESS! Myles “Thicckie Minaj” Bennet would never let down the people that he loves, like his girlfriend, AND ME! But I was wrong. Myles is, after all, a man, so that makes him an idiot.

I followed Miss Bennett to the bar where he went to go met up with Julian one night, before Summer Crush had COMMENCED. The conversation that took place was one that sounded like a break-up. “This ILLUSTRIOUS affair can go on no longer”, Myles said (well he didn’t actually, I’m paraphrasing). Heartbroken, Julian SUNK into himself. All these passionate nights between them, and the entire time, he was only a booty cock call. We know that Julian has no feelings (clearly, he fucking a man in a relationship), but he took this one to heart. He was (is?) in LOVE with Myles, but the two could no longer be together. Julian got up to leave but Myles STOPPED him! In that very moment, he had a change of heart. He then GRABBED the washed up surfer by his shirt and pulled him in, the two began to MAKE OUT in the middle of the bar. But it doesn’t stopped there. They proceeded to MIGRATE to the bathroom where Myles proceeded to sit on Julian’s ... Iron Throne. I didn’t stay long to watch, I was too heartbroken. I did hear the kissing, and moaning, and grunting. And I heard Myles shout out “Sweet Sassafras” (Paraphrasing), upon first penetration. But I had to leave. It was too much.

All I could think of was Jasmine. How she’s been tirelessly WORKING to remain free from the MENNONITES of her VILLAGE that have continued to OPPRESS HER. And it’s SUPER shady that he’d do this TO A GIRL WHO DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO USE A COMPUTER!!!! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE YELLED A GIRL LIKE THIS!

So after that night, the two men decided to call it quits. Their bathroom shuffle was their Last Hurrah. In fact Julian ordered Myles to come and collect his ugly ass plaid shirts that FILLED his humble abode and the two swore they would never speak to each other ever again … but then Summer Crush happened.

Their plans to end everything completely fell through once they had to be in each other’s company night after night. Their secret convos, locking eyes across the rooms, disappearing into the FUCK HUTS to BANG — completely cancelled out their plans. I could go into explicit detail about it all, but basically … they still have the hottttttttttts for each other.

After a bit more digging, I’ve found out that this affair has been going on for a while at this point. According to source close to both Wink (Myles) and Wonk (Julian), they met each other during Julian’s Washed Up Surfer Reunion (who even keeps up with surfers anyways) the two formed a connection and … well..

And that was TEN MONTHS AGO! So for TEN MONTHS!! fjhcdcjkdsacjk

I have to say that I am … speechless.

Not necessarily because of the affair itself, but because I’m never wrong. I honestly thought Myles was better than this. Julian? Not so much.

It’s interesting to look at this in retrospect. Knowing that this has been going on all this time while MYLES BENNETOVER was texting sweet nothing to Jasmine by day and was BENNENITOVER by night for #DemonDICK. Watching Jasmine on a date with Julian completely oblivious to everything that was going on, while Julian sat there in knowing what he’s done to her .. It’s actually evil ... and at this point … I nominate MURDER as the solution.

So Jasmine (or people who know Jasmine, cause she probes won’t see this) LISTEN UP, here are a few solutions I think would work, or at the very least, get even. NOTE: IN ORDER TO GET AWAY WITH THESE HYPOTHETICAL THEORETICAL SCENARIOS, JASMINE HAS TO CONTINUE TO BE OBLIVIOUS TO MY BLOG, IT’S HER ONLY ALIBI. MOVING ON...

(Least Recommended) Jasmine dresses up in a beige trench coat and black thigh high boots (see: Ring The Alarm - Beyonce (Preferably the VMA performance she did, the mob of girls and choreographed dance is optional, but would be appreciated)). Hidden in her trench coat is her weapon of choice. A gun is too basic. A knife isn’t a guaranteed kill. A CHAINSAW would be just right, in my opinion. Whatever she decides to use, Julian is the first casualty, obvi. Myles would be the second. After they are DISMEMBERED, feed them to the sharks. (The reason I’m not to keen on this is because it’s to messy, odds are Jas would not be able to get away with it. But the way they kill animals back home in her village, I figured it’d be the easiest for her.)

(Not highly Recommended but better then #1) Go to Whole Foods and buy a bunch of cherries, Google the recipe to how to make homemade cyanide out of cherries, or ask a friend to do it for you, I keep forgetting she doesn’t know how to use a computer. No one would suspect the sweet girl buying cherries is using it to murder her boyfriend and his mistress. After they are OUT drag them to the ocean, tie Wink and Wonk together (using Myles plaid shirts) and throw them into the ocean. Again, the Sharks will do what they need to do. (No guarantee of getting away with this, they might break free from the plaid chains. Maybe I just want the plaid shirts to be gone. Plus side though? You can still wear the Ring The Alarm number).

(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) COMBAT ALL OF MYLES’ HARD WORK BY DEVISING A PLAN TO RID THE OCEAN OF SHARKS! MAKE SURE HE KNOWS THAT THE REASON YOU’RE DOING THIS IS BECUSE YOU MADE HIM! SO IN THE END, IT WILL BE ALL HIS FAULT THAT THE SHARKS ARE DEAD!!!! ONCE THEY ARE ALL GONE MYLES WILL NOT HAVE A JOB NOR WILL HE BE ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH HIS TRIFLIN’ LIFESTYLE SO HE WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO MOVE BACK TO BUMFUCK, TEXAS (POPULATION: LOSER!!!!) WHERE HE WILL HAVE TO PICK SHIFTS A FUCKING BASS PRO SHOPS LISTENING TO NICKELBACK’S GREATEST HITS ON REPEAT WHILE HE CHECKS OUT SOME HILLBILLY BUYING AN ASSAULT RIFLE.

Jasmine, if you are reading this, I am so sorry that you had to go through this. I would totally suggest a guy for you to ditch Myles for, but ... all the men in this town ain’t SHIT. Maybe, the mennonites will have you back in your village where you will be free of the evils the outside world has to offer. 

As for Wink and Wonk? I SHIP IT! I hope you guys run off and live happily ever after ... In the depths of hell where you belong!!!!!!!

So this it guys, SWIMMING in at NUMBER 1 are Shark Boy and Lava Thot and their tragic love affair. 

I hope you’re pleased with yourselves boys. You’ve broken a poor Amish Girl’s heart and WORST OF ALL? Julian and his #DemonDick fucked Cutny Westwood, who was (almost) dating Jamie ALL because he was on the oust with Shark Boy, so EVERYONE in this situation gets played. Tragic.

 I guess this is what happens when the #DemonDick takes host.

What don’t people get about what it’s like to be you? i am in high levels of pain and severe exhaustion every day and every hour. like its just round the clock. it affects everything i do... my sleep, my appetite, my plans. i feel like a huge bother to ever mention it to anyone but its pretty terrible all the time. If your bedroom had three portals to anywhere, where would they lead? oh man. ok one would lead me to a lovely home in switzerland that is all mine and has a big beautiful bathroom and lots of books and beautiful views. another would be a gorgeous park with lots of cool views of ocean on one side and a tree lined area on the other and big comfy benches all around where I could go and people i’ve loved or care about could randomly port themselves there if they were thinking about me. so i could go walk around and talk to them face to face. and the third would be to FL so I could see my sister and her family all the time. Who do you miss right now and why? K. its just not easy at all. constantly refreshing tumblr has become an addiction and I know im in the early stages of breaking up and I know it’ll eventually get easier. but its not there yet.

Favorite movie: right off the bat, HARD! ummm... The Shop Around the Corner or The Philadelphia Story, i know it says only one answer but i honestly cannot choose between them they’re in a complete tie.

Favorite TV show: Hmm...of ALL TIME? Little House on the Prairie. haha

Favorite TV Show episode: oh man. i’m assuming this can be just a fave episode from any show? i have way too much but Happy Days season 4 Three on a Porch was always a fave hahahahha. i honestly can’t choose just 1 fave episode from a tv show ever. I have like an ultimate fave or multiple ultimates from every tv show i’ve ever watched and that’s a lot. hahahha

Two characters who never canonically met but you still ship them: I don’t really do this? but i did once read a fanfic when i was really bored of harry potter and newt scamander HAHA harry travelled back in time accidentally and then he met newt, it was cute. so i’d be ok with that but that’s about as far as it goes tbh

Favorite battle scene: the knife/one on one combat scene in the winter soldier with steve and bucky.

Favorite kiss: Anytime Dean and Jerry kiss in their movies. HAHAHAHAHA but um, also, like, a lot. BUt....I always squealed over when Rory/Jess kissed for the first time in Gilmore Girls at Sookie’s wedding, lol.

One iconic move: Any time Dean and Jerry ended up together in the end of their movies? Does that count??? LOL That’s what I’m going with.

A plotline you hated: SO MANY. OH GOD. I’m awful. but the first thing that popped into my head was when Eric went after Donna to California in That 70s Show. and then they got engaged and all that. Stupid. I never liked them together tbh. I just, yeah. That. Also, Damon and Elena ever happening in TVD. and Um... just a lot of things in so many things. lmao

Favorite soundtrack: The Winter Soldier Soundtrack is amazing *shrugs* honestly it’s just really beautiful and it will forever be my fave.

Favorite quote: OMG. this is way too hard. wtf??? I have thousands but one I always enjoyed was “How could I have known that murder could sometimes smell like honeysuckle?” from Double Indemnity. but honestly, that’s just one that’s popping into my head right now. I seriously have SO MANY.

A character you think would have been better if they were from the opposite sex:  i have been sitting here trying to think of someone and i honestly can’t come up with any? except i’m like it would be interesting to see sabrina’s aunts be made into uncle’s or something? but i wouldn’t want to see it like, changed forever. just like, make one adaption with it that way sort of thing? hahaha

A character you think should have died for the sake of the story: THANOS. I JUST WANT THE DAMN PURPLE GRAPE DEAD AND GONE FOREVER.

A side character you think should have been the protagonist: Bonnie Bennett in TVD :) Also can I say Bucky Barnes? I’m not sure if he’s a side character which is why I didn’t put him. But i mean one is from tv and one is from movie. BUT. that doesn’t mean i want him to replace to steve, i just want him to get his own damn movie. lol

A protagonist you think should have been a side character: i don’t know???? i have been trying to think of someone and i can’t come up with someone but i’m sure they exist and i’m just entirely blanking right now because i’m lame lol

A completely unnecessary and annoying character death: Umm every single death in Infinity War?? lmao I’m never gonna be over that tbh hahaha but I mean, also Stefan Salvatore in TVD. Forever annoyed. FOREVER. ANNOYED. i’m sure there’s a lot more too tbh hahaha

Favorite plot twist: BUCKY NOT BEING DEAD. (i mean, it’s sort of a plot twist if you knew nothing about the comics right?)

The type of character you always go for and love: the funny ones with a lot of issues basically. hahaha i mean, funny to *me*. Just....complicated messes. That’s my thing. 

A movie you would love to watch in another genre: OK, I really hate to being on on about this. but. Infinity War. is it too much to ask for a happy avengers movie? like i get it, they’re superheros but just make a damn movie about the inbetween times where they’re just hanging out, having a cuppa tea or some shit. GIVE ME A BUCKY/STEVE ROM COM LMAO! I’m dying at myself but i would LEGIT watch the shit out of that. Or like That 70s show still a sitcom but a SCIFI SITCOM where like, eric is the only one who knew the truth. Or, just. I would be up for a lot of changes just for fun. but i’d never want the originals to go away either. lol. I’d just be down to watch anything done different tbh it would be fun hahahaha
