Born in 1959, Florence Griffith Joyner's remarkable talent became evident early in her life. Known also as Flo Jo, she began her athletics career in high school, and her natural speed and determination led her to compete in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where she won a silver medal in the 200 meters.
However, it was the 1988 Seoul Olympics where Florence truly made history. She set world records in both the 100 meters (10.49 seconds) and the 200 meters (21.34 seconds) that have yet to be broken. Her iconic style, featuring one-legged bodysuits and colorful, long fingernails, made her a fashion icon as well as a sports legend.
Florence Griffith Joyner's story is a testament to the power of determination, hard work, and self-expression. Her incredible achievements on the track and her unique personal style have left an enduring impact on the world of sports.
Hopefully we will see these three get medals in the Olympics in 2024🥇😤
Sydney - 400m, 400m Hurdles, and the 4x400
Noah Lyles- 4x1, 200m, and 100m
Sha'carri - 100m, 4x100,200m
Will Update this next year😉
Here's also to hoping they all break the Olympic records 👌🏿. What's crazy is that Sha'carri could potentially do it for two events as seen above. Also to note Lyles broke the WC record held by Michael Johnson by 0.01 seconds. It would be crazy if he did the same with Bolts Olympic record 💯
